I came in with the intention to support a local business. I came in for a scalp bleach and tone as I had about 7 months of regrowth I wanted to fix up. I assumed that as professionals, they were able to test if my hair was able to handle the job with a bleach test of some sort. They proceeded to just bleach my scalp as their first course of action - which I was actually shocked about as there was no bleach test or anything to make sure that the conditions were appropriate. My hair was left to process for well over an hour which I thought was weird and unsafe but I put my trust in them as I assumed they were professionals. Short story, my completely healthy hair basically snapped off - I was told that my hair was basically too weak for it. Which I don't believe is the case because I've never had this issue before and I've spaced my bleaching sessions appropriately and taken exceptional care of my own hair. I was also there from 10am - 3pm. Majority of those hours spent bleaching. Let's let that sink in. They had to stop in the middle of toning my hair as my scalp was burning like crazy. Two days later I have a feel of my scalp because I felt a texture on my skin that wasn't there before, and I basically have scabs scattered on my scalp. Basically experienced a chemical burn - which generally happens when the bleach is left too long. I'm pretty sure they were just too busy with other clients between my session, which is why they left my bleach in too long. I won't be coming back, even though they said they wouldn't charge me in 2 weeks for them to finish the job and tone my hair again. I'm literally traumatised especially since I've been through this very process before and I know exactly why these things happen. No amount of olaplex in the bleach would've saved my hair, obviously because if you leave it in too long it'll damage my hair. My only feedback is to be more considerate about your high risk clients and pay closer attention, because now I have to wait another 2 years to grow back my snapped hair. I also paid $250 for this service but I'm pretty sure 2 years of growing back my hair isn't worth that money. I could've done this job to myself at home for $50 and not snapped my own hair - since it also left my hair extremely uneven.

I wandered into the salon after lunch at Brown Cow Cafè and asked if the stylist had time to shave my overgrown undercut. Luckily for me, they said they did and told me to take a seat. I waited for around 5 to 10 minutes, and looked around the store during this time. I was then called up and had my undercut shaved. It was quick and efficient, however I was sitting in the hair leftover from the previous client. I didn't mind much, as I mentioned, I hadn't made an appointment. When it was done, the stylist did not show me what it looked like from behind with the big fancy mirror. Again, I understand I didn't make an appointment, and just appreciated being fit in. When it was time to pay, the stylist told me it would be $10. I pulled out my card, and they said they only do minimum $20 for card purchases. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough cash, only loose coins, and being put on the spot made me quite nervous and embarrassed, so I paid the $20 and left. I reflected on my experience for an hour and concluded that I didn't like being made to feel pressured like that, especially since there is no signage in the store to indicate a minimum card spend. I called the salon and spoke to the stylist, and asked for a $10 refund, for the change of the $20 I had paid. They then told me that it actually cost $15, and again, minimum is $20. I explained that there is no signage in the store that explains there is a minimum, and they did not deny that, but again, insisted it was $15 and has been for the past 3 years. I explained I had never visited the salon before, and asked for the now $5 change refunded back to the card that paid for the service. I was told no, and that I would have to go and get it. I live on the other side of town, literally the opposite end of Elizabeth Dr. It would take more than $5 of fuel just to get there. I explained that I was unhappy with this, and explained I would be leaving the same feedback on both Facebook and Google. Here I am. Hello. The shave itself is absolutely fine, though nothing special. I just recommend you discuss pricing before engaging or agreeing to their services. Thank you.

Went to this salon, as my regular hairdresser was ill. I needed my roots bleached and then a colour put over the top. The bleach was left on for an extremely long time. They also overlapped it quite far onto my previously bleached hair. There was a lot of breakage, which I never have had before, and I have been getting my hair bleached on and off for over 20 years. I wanted my roots darker, then to fade down to pastel, which I've had for over a year. Showed pics even. They did a dark colour on the roots, and about 1 shade lighter towards the ends. Left my hair looking just like 1 block colour. I could have done a better job at home. Charged over $300, which my regular hairdresser charges about $220, and never stuffs it up. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I had to do a bleach bath of the ends at home to rectify their horrible colour. Never again. Also, I was there for about 5 hours, for a treatment that should probably take 2.5 hours. Didn't even dry it before I left. I also feel so mean saying this, but the polish girl really needs to smile. All she does is talk about her migraines and allergies and other various woes. I recommended a neurologist and migraine medication she could try, even writing it down for her, but I seriously think she just wants to feel sorry for herself, instead of getting better.

Mens hairstyle and beard trim. Go see Jenn. She's amazing. Finally someone who knows how to listen to a man who cant talk hairstyle lingo and can somehow understand what I'm trying to say in a way that she gives me the hair and beard style I'm after. Jenn took her time to anderstand my poor explanation of the hair I would like. She also gave me suggestions of different hairstyles that would work for me and even took the time to educate me on how to manage my hair. And to top it off, the price is amazing. I usually spend $50-$75 dollars for a hair cut and bear trim at the usual mens barbers that I'm usually disappointed in. Here they only charged me $30 for the hair cut and $10 for the beard trim. $40 in total. And it's the absolute best haircut and beard trim ever.

The ladies here took really good care of me for the first time I had my hair dyed. They prioritised the health of my hair and my experience. The two ladies dying my hair continually included me in their conversations throughout the 3½ hours the whole process took. They taught me proper after-care to ensure the colour lasts as long as possible. They have plenty of past experience and settled my nerves without even knowing I was a bit worried about it. This is a beautiful, friendly, very professional and warm team. I definitely recommend giving them a visit Here is a before and after shot!

Seriously disappointed.Went on a Saturday afternoon, booked appointment, only to find the staff were overbooked. More importantly, the two working obviously had a personality clash. The vibe was unsettling.I was pulled into awkward conversation after awkward conversation which made me feel very uncomfortable. As a Muk representative salon, no Muk prod ucts were used. What I asked to have done was no where near what the final result turned out to be.i will never return and never recommend . Such a shame as I feel this salon could be so much more than it currently is.

Just had a hair cut for my wife at 12:45pm and Had to pay $50, her eftpos is not working and i asked its your machine had an issue as card is declining and one of the staff is so rude and unfriendly, just had said in unfriendly and rude manner that its not my machine and its your card. Lol. I haven’t said a single word and came out.. I wouldn’t recommend this place as I paid for such a “bad unprofessional”behaviour.. I haven’t even taken the receipt as I don’t want to talk to the staff taking the fee, I believe its the owner.

Best hairdresser is Sunbury by the length of a straight!!! Am fussy and my hair is long and difficult to deal with, but not for the team at Inside out. I was quoted $45 for a cut and wash over the phone therefore made a booking for a Saturday. When I went to pay they charged me $70 and said that's their weekend prices but failed to mention that on the phone. They all stood up against me about the pricing. I will never go back there again!
