We were in the area, so we decided to have lunch there. I should have read the reviews before going. Food was definitely not Italian. It was way below average. Mushroom soup wasn't as expected it looked like wan tan hor gravy, and the grilled chicken chop was 3/10 (the owner did not mention if the chicken chop was grilled or fried). It came with only fries/salad. The menu was not clear at all. Everything was just vague, i.e... meat names were stated but not type of dish. The owner suggested that we order our drinks first before we order the food, and so we did that. And then she comes with the drinks and says they have set lunch, and we could probably take that. We thought why not and opted for the set lunch, which consisted of soup for starter and drinks along with the main course. Since we ordered our drinks first, she said she would switch out the two drinks for one desert. It didn't bother me much given the quality of the meals. I was just waiting to be done and leave. She then made our desert, which was a panacotta with canned passionfruit. The panacotta on its own was nice. However, passionfruit is just not my thing. Nevertheless, the owner was friendly.

Another hidden restaurant near Old Klang Road serving excellent Italian food using very fresh ingredients, which the owner takes pride on. The price is above average given the environment but the food is excellent. If you are a lover of ravioli, this restaurant serves up quite a few options. I had the porcini version and it was delicious. The pizza is superb, considering they managed it without a wood fired oven. And the ingredient is really fresh. The lady owner and cook will engage in friendly chatter. The facade of the restaurant is unassuming and could easily be missed. Parking is plenty during the evening. I'll be back to try more dishes in the future.

A nice homely little shop in Taman Desa that you'd probably won't notice given how quiet the location it is located at. The ambiance is nothing to shout about but fits me just fine. I prefer quiet locations like this. The owner is friendly, chatty and passionate about her craft. The pasta and risotto was superb. In fact, rarely do we find risotto cooked to order and in the traditional way. The pizza however came with thick crust, much more like an American pizza. Anyway, the food is heavenly though a better location might have helped with foot traffic. Good thing though, parking wouldn't be an issue.

This is my first time dining in this authentic Italian restaurant. Food is superb, and the owner prepared it personally to perfection and is omakase style as we trusted her recommendation. Her experience of living in Bologna and having her restaurant there does the magic of superior quality taste and uniqueness. I'm definitely going back again for more and would recommend it to friends who love authentic Italian food.

Had a hankering for pasta, and stumbled across this researching pasta places online. We visited quite early in the evening, so the place was empty. The interior design was interesting to say the least. They also sell selected groceries in the dining area. We ordered a carbonara and ravioli each, but didn't get to try the tiramisu. Food was good, but price a bit steep, given the atmosphere. Owner was also there and made friendly conversation.

Disappointed with the quality of food at this price. Mushroom soup costs more than 20 with few pieces of button mushrooms, not creamy at all and the base tasted like powdered chicken soup… Pasta doesn’t taste like freshly cooked. The pasta was sticking together and hardened, reminds me of the tapao panmee that’s left aside for awhile. Pizza is bland, nothing to shout about. A little history about the owner. She is Malaysian Chinese stayed in Bologna Italy for 20 years so no one can really fault for lack of cooking experience. She is a little unconventional (quirky even) with her recipes, mixing Italian traditional cooking methods with local ingredients. Think of it as fusion. What the restaurant lacks in finesse, it makes up for with originality and traditional provincial Italian cooking methods. Try with an open mind. If you are going to try to find a typical americanised Italian fare, you will be disappointed. Owner (also the chef) is friendly. Talk to her.

I had a lovely time at Insieme! The Italian food here is hearty and has a nice, homey vibe to it. Sherry, the owner, is friendly and shared very interesting insights to how traditional Italian food is made in Bologna! It's a cosy place with only a handful of tables. A little quiet during covid, so do visit them if you're around the KL area and you'd like to support a small business! This isn't the place if you're looking for upscale Italian food with all that jazz, but if you're looking for solid, good food that tastes like nonna's cooking in the villages of Bologna, I'd recommend this place.

Do not need to travel far for authentic Bologna Italian cuisine. Warm and bright ambience just around the corner. Chef has history of producing handmade products such as pasta, cheeses and meat dishes. They also sells frozen premium cut of meat and other gourmet products. We chose a few cuts and chef is more than happy to cook them for you. They have great Italian wine selection.

The food is great! Not with the refined presentation and service that would have cost you arms and legs in higher end restaurants but the home cook variety that might have seemed rough at the first encounter but authentic and rich in taste. Get to know the owner Sherry and let her know your preference and taste and she will adjust accordingly. We had enjoyed our evening and will certainly be back for more.

Hidden gem. Very good pasta and Italian meat dishes! My favourite has been the ricotta tortellini. The shop was at Ampang, Publika, DC Mall and now Taman Desa. Very good panna cotta as well

Perfect authentic carbonara!!! NO CREAM, just made by egg yolk, parmesan cheese and bacon. The chef is an Italian. Pasta is cooked perfectly al-dente. A must try hidden gem!!

30myr for pasta: sauce is canned tomatoes, with partially cooked onion, no salt in the pasta, frozen stale bread to dip in oil, grated cheap cheese thrown on top of pasta. Resembled a kids meal. Edible but vastly over priced for the quality. If youre charging restaurant prices the food needs an overhaul.

Had some excellent risotto here. The service rendered was also awesome. The only sad part is that not many people know of this restaurant. 10/10 will definitely visit again
