We just had the opportunity to tour Prague with the owners of Insight Cities, Bonita Rhoads & Vadim Erent. Bonita took us on a Prague Introduction tour. The next day, Vadim guided us on Prague Art Nouveau & Cubist Architecture. Both tours were lively and tailored to what we hadn’t yet seen but wished to learn. What wonderful, fulfilling explanations and experiences! Both Bonita and Vadim are extremely knowledgeable. Happily, they are also animated, charming, affable, and generous with their time and interest. They were eager to converse on and share extensive information and expertise on a broad range of topics, including history, politics, architecture, culture, and daily life. They were also incredibly helpful with ideas for restaurants, gifts, and further exploration. Pro kolegy ze zahraničí jsme uskutečnili komentovanou procházku ve Valdštejnské zahradě následovaný prohlídkou Strahovské knihovny, včetně sálů, které jsou pro individuální návštěvníky nepřístupné. Moc jsem od toho nečekal, ale nakonec to předčilo všechna má očekávání. Dvě místa by se mohly zdát jako málo, ale nakonec to bylo tak akorát. Velmi oceňuji styl a množství informací a také to, že nešlo pouze o strohé odříkávání faktů, ale z celé procházky se vyvinul dialog, většina věcí byla zasazena do kontextu, s přípomínkou nejen historie místa, ale i s připomenutím i ne tak zcela dávné historie nebo přímo probíhajících událostí, kterých bohužel nyní (červen 2022) není zrovna málo. Historie se opakuje, pokud se z ní nepoučíme nebude to jednoduché. Náš průvodce Vadim byl super, kolegové z celého světa si prohlídku také pochvalovali. Mohu jen a pouze doporučit a myslím, že v budoucnu určitě využiji znovu.

What a great way to start our time in Prague with an Insight Cities tour. Our guide Vadim picked us up at our apartment. We had just arrived the night before, so he helped us figure out what metro passes would work best for us for our time in the city. Using metro and our feet we made our way through significant landmarks. Vadim shared his knowledge of the history of the Czech people, lands and architecture. By using architectural styles as a visual tool, he taught us to see the signs of history all around us. He used photos on his phone to show how various squares and monuments looked during different occupations and events. Our guide's great sense of humor and comfort with a variety of topics meant we could ask questions along the way and really enjoy ourselves. Every step of the process was professional, educational and fun. Highly recommend.

We called Bonita and she lined us up with two AWESOME guides in Budapest. They were top notch. I reviewed them separately so won't say more about them here other than they were all the way, but the key was Bonita setting all of this up. We had some very specific things we wanted to see and some interesting constraints. Bonita worked with us via e-mail - and even a phone call or two - and helped us dial it all in exactly as we wanted. Also, we had some last minute changes and she was really flexible and did everything she could to handle some last minute changes. She runs a totally professional operation... and she's SUPER nice as well! I recommend her highly and we will definitely use her next time. Full marks for Bonita and her group...

Insight Cities was wonderful. Our group from New York University's Gallatin school went on several tours with them and I led the group as one of the chaperones. Logistics were easy, and all of their guides were knowledgeable and personable. They led wonderful tours for our academic group in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. All of the Insight Cities tours felt more academic and had less of a typically touristy vibe when compared to other tours. I wholeheartedly recommend and expect to use their services again in the future.

Insight Cities and its awesome wife/husband owners Bonita and Vadim should be consider amongst Prague's tourism rock stars. The diversity and quality of their tours provides an entertaining and informative experience. The care they take to ensure each guest enjoys an artfully curated tour is makes all the difference. I took the architecture tour with Bonita on my first day in Prague. What an incredible introduction to this fascinating city! Bonita weaves into her explanations of building styles stories of the people & historical events that shaped them so that by the end you not only can recognize various architectural designs, you feel like you've walked the cobblestone streets with bygone heroes. Highly recommend!

We had four fantastic tours in Vienna and Prague with Insight Cities. The tours were detailed, with guides who had a very strong historical knowledge of the cities and were also accessible to the group of 16-17 year olds we took on the trip. I'd recommend Insight Cities to anyone who would like to find out more about the cities of Europe with engaging, friendly guides!

We had an absolutely great time on the Beer & Baroque tour with Vadim. Such a unique, behind-the-ropes opportunity; we'd recommend it to everyone. A great chance to do something not in the tourbooks, and to spend an afternoon with a local who is so talented at making everyone feel welcome.

What a great tour! Knowledgeable and fun guide who kept me entertained and enjoying marvelous Prague architecture and interiors. We covered so much ground but never rushed. A great time for any lover of architecture and history.
