While in Austin area most of the Masjid we found gate locked from outside and was unable to enter into the masjid to pray, Alhamdulillah this masjid was open, We were traveler, we prayed our Johor prayer and relaxed few minutes in the masjid. First we went to the masjid at Lakes Travis we found masjid is locked from outside then we drove to this masjid and Alhamdulillah it was open.

Sorry but I can never forget how horribly I was treated at this place back in 2015 Making matters worse I was a newly convert to Shia Islam and it was my first time at a Shia mosque. Hopefully people have changed though ‍♀️. But back biting and judging and prejudice is still rampant in the Shia community especially among sisters. We all need to be better than that.

It's very nice islamic center people are very nice and very humble when you enter with your family they welcome with love and respect it's very nice peaceful atmosphere for the family and very good food and over all very good hospitality thanks to everyone with my heart who running the Islamic AL mahdi center have a blessed day.

Great multicultural and multiethnic Islamic community with diverse set of programs for kids and adults. Hard working and devoted volunteers do a great job here and programs are very informational and uplifting.

*****Shia faith****** I went here quite some time back. This masjid members follow Shia faith. Imams discussion was good and would appreciate if they included more topics of HolyQuranic verses .

Attended their mosque garage sale today. I met the nicest and most gracious people in a long time. A wonderful reminder not to judge a whole people by the few maniacs.

My family and I came for a visit and the community members as well as clergy (imam/sheikh) were warm and welcoming.
