"This was my first time visiting this Islamic Center, and I was very disappointed"
"Why do we let go of our common sense and speak based on emotion when it comes to religion? Say we had all the details of the incident and we knew what really occurred (based on eye-witness accounts not media), and it really happened that this security guard pepper sprayed the female reporter while she was just doing her job (by the way - no one in their right mind would do such a thing), why should that mistake represent the entire Islamic center - let alone the entire faith? His act should be judged based on the Quran and Sunnah"
"What a ridicioulous joke of a place to call a "mosque""
"Loved going there during ramadan, everybody is so nice and helping you as much as they can"
"I went to this mosque to perform Jummah prayer, and while praying, the workers stepped on the prayer rugs with their shoes, pulling the rug from under my feet"
This was my first time visiting this Islamic Center, and I was very disappointed. There is a note in front of the prayer room door "children under 6 years old is not allowed inside" which is VERY UNDERSTANDABLE! However, they don't tell New Visitors (with children ) where to go. I didn't see a children room. The Sisters here aren't inviting!!! All the sisters segregate themselves in groups. You will be lucky to even get a greeting. I was very disappointed in this community. I prayed isha here, when the imam called prayers, I prayed in the main hall with my baby in the stroller, due to not knowing where to go, and a sister walked up to me, very disrespectful, no "as salaam alaikum " nothing, just talking at me. No, one should "assume" others sisters know what to do when they come to visit.
Why do we let go of our common sense and speak based on emotion when it comes to religion? His act should be judged based on the Quran and Sunnah. If the Quran and Sunnah say it was justifiable, then you can come out with your negative remarks and statements.
What a ridicioulous joke of a place to call a "mosque". Women in men's areas... men in womens areas. 0 to no segregation. Women wearing what they want to...to the house of God. No covers for the sisters or the brothers sections. Welcome to Liberal California where reception staff are not wearing hijab and freemixing is readily available and apparantly a norm? Verse No. 53 of Surat al-Ahzab, or the Confederates (Interpretation of the meaning); "...for anything ye want, ask them from before a screen: that makes for greater purity for your hearts and for theirs..."
Loved going there during ramadan, everybody is so nice and helping you as much as they can. I was amazed by the fact that no one judges you in this mosque, wearing hijab or not everyone was open to pray, break the fast together and share a beautiful moment. Imam speech was great , open to the world and era we live in compared to many mosques Ive seen in the world where sometimes we couldnt even understand what it was about. I just mooved to LA and I am very happy to have found this place
I went to this mosque to perform Jummah prayer, and while praying, the workers stepped on the prayer rugs with their shoes, pulling the rug from under my feet. When I addressed the issue people around, they claimed they were not aware because they are not Muslim. However, such disrespect is unacceptable. We enter our homes with the same socks we use to step on these prayer rugs they step on with shoes. The management should take action on this matter. This is not acceptable.
Masha Allah!!! A very well maintained Islamic Center. This place is very beautiful. The Qirah of Imam is melodious. The community is very nice and helping. If you cannot access the door then a man is always standing at the gate to open the door for you. A very clean place. This place well connects you with Allah spiritually. Overall an excellent experience. May Allah SWT bless all those who are behind this great work.
It is ok for certain individuals to hang out inside the masjid between prayers, but it's not ok for someone to come inside and pray . What a joke of a management, the place is turning into a family business. All that aside from the "optional/halfway Hijab", and the impolite loud conversations at the front desk while pple are praying.
Very nice masjid from the inside and outside and actually practices social distancing. Maybe it’s location isn’t the best part. Area is dirty and has many homeless people. Also, the security guards don’t seem too friendly to the visitiors but it’s okay. Overall, a very beautiful representation of our Islamic community and culture
It's funny how they want to claim Muslim are terrorist but Los Angeles is lawless with methamphetamine and crack and you can't buy those drugs in a dispensary. I'm terrorised by those drugs and the fbi and police don't nothing about it but let 100 of pounds of that pass though our highways everyday. Who is the terrorist now?
ASALAMALAHIKUM .... GREAT PLACE , OPEN FOR PRAYING TIMES JUST TO EVERY ONE ALL DAY , VERY CLEAN VERY SAFE AND EVERY ONE IS WELCOME,MY FIRST TIME THERE I LEARNED A LOT OF GREAT TEACHING . THANKS BROTHER JIHAD TURK ,, MY MENTOR I MAY SAY THAT . RAMADHAN MUBARAK KARIM RAMADHAN …

I was impressed with the show out this place brought in on a Friday afternoon in the hood but not at all pleased with the result too many men with they shoes and some even socks off will do to the smell and feel of a room when they all pile in at once and begin moving around.
ASA, I have been Muslim since 1962. Under the influence of then Malcolm X. In 1985 I took my Shahada and completed my first Ramadan. I've tried to study as much as I can Inshallah. I'm a Hajji now Thanks to the Islamic Center of Southern California of Los Angeles.
Poor management. No one picks up the call. The website says Eid prayer at 8:30 am today but the forgot to mention the location. When we showed up at the mosque doors were locked and no one was there. We missed the Eid prayer.
Can be seen as "moderate" or "progressive". They do lots of interfaith things and MPAC works through there I think. They do lots of work with the community and educating non-Muslims about Islam and issues involving Muslims.
Its the best islamic center in the town! They have clean bathrooms and multiple places to pray in and a parking lot, basketball place and a cafeteria! Sometimes the cafeteria is open but its still a great mosque.
Asalamualaikum..this Masjid is a blessing from Allah..may Allah reward the original founders of this Center and may Allah have mercy on Dr. Maher and Hassan Hathout Inshallah... Alhamdullilah wa Allahu Akbar
I just stopped by to pray on my break the girl w half hijab didn't let me in the security was nice it's crazy the masjid is open but we have to pray whenever your worker wants. Haram هذا بيت الله
Alhamdulillah, finally i found a masjid in LA. Nice and comfortable place and also the officer. Hopefully it is become the center of rahmatan lil los angeles people and it's surrounding. Aamiiin.
A very beautiful and well maintained clean mosque. The Quran reciter’s voice is melodious. The Friday sermon was inspiring, and the place has a very spiritual, pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
Pleasant clean and welcoming masjid. Bathroom and wudu place available. Separate ladies room. Big and good designed building in the middle of busy street. Accessible with security on premises.
Fantastic masjid . Stopped here for Jumma on a road trip . Imaan was fantastic , I was made to feel welcome and they gave me tips on where to find halal food . Credit to the management team .
It was the masjid we found to pray in San Diego. I didn't like the first entrance very much, but it was clean and beautiful inside, it could be even more beautiful, thank you. God bless you.
A nice mosque located in Los Angeles. It's Los Angeles's largest Islamic center. 5 times prayers are held in gathering here daily. Jumma has some special guests sometimes.
Security assulted a person with pepper spray outside of there Mosque. They don't want people that are not Islamic standing on the public sidewalk be careful going here.
Beautifully designed Islamic Center, was perfect to visit to pray while traveling. Parking is limited with lots of foot traffic outside being located on a busy street.
May Allah bless those guys who built it and who are managing it. Parking at the mosque is available. There is a separate bathroom and an area for ladies to pray.
My favorite mosque in all of Los Angeles. Though parking is slim to none. Best khutbas. And I love being able to sit outside with that lovely LA breeze!
Nice clean and updated facility. Conveniently located right outside the down town area . Mashallah. In the heart of a large immigrant community in LA.
The food they provides not good at all , rice rice and rice the whole month of Ramadan, and sometimes chicken, but the chickens rhe give half cooked.
Being one of the oldest masjid in Los Angeles it provides various activities to the community. Well known speakers often participate at this place.
I'm black and they told me to find a different mosque, after i told them i felt unwelcome there and was willing to discuss why.
mashaalah nice and clean thank for the brother who take care of the center We praid jomah nice to give some donations.
This my family's home Mosque. We have attended for the last 35 years. They welcome everyone. Sunday school offered.
Unfortunately, they close after each Salat. Didnt like it. King Fahad mosque is open from Duha up until Asha Prayer
Beautiful mosque..clean tidy and spacious, and best of all it is open for Fajr prayer. On point. Ma sha' Allah
The members of this Islamic Center are great. Their food pantry event and Hiking, something I will be missing
Al-humdulliah, beautiful Masjid, been supporting the community for many years, Insha'ALLAH many, many, more.
It's good except I tried to enter parking when I came early and the security said people must reserve it!
This is my 3rd time , I came to offer fajar prayer but it remain closed until 5.31. This is really sad
The mosque is beautiful and clean, but it is not open 24 hours, as it is written, it closes at 8 pm
Good environment, good people for muslim worshippers. They have secured entry in Juma salat.
This is very holy place. And very beautiful. Ireally wanna be here everyday for prayer.
Good samosas and biryani on Fridays. Good Friday speakers as well (most of the time).
