As a frequent mover, I would rate this as my worst moving experience. The movers seemed to be nice guys but clearly overworked. I have a 3 bed/2 bath house on a single floor. It took 6 hours to get everything into the truck with 4 men. My observation was that 2 men worked significantly most of the job. They also only had one screwdriver. The move was less than 3 miles distance. Unloading took approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes (after an hour lunch break), which seemed more appropriate but only after I voiced my disappointment. It may have been faster because I was able to unpack my tool box as well. Also, both myself and my friend helped out with what we were able to in unloading. In the end, there ended up being 3 deep scratches into my new floors. There was also one aspect of the job that remained incomplete (switching out washer and dryers). The leader of the group assured me that he would “take care of me” and “he puts it on his manhood,” but it remained unresolved in the end. I was informed that it would “cost me another move job.” When I asked to speak with their boss, he called the owner John who ranted for 15 minutes calling me names such as “cheap” and stating that I was “lucky worse damage did not occur” without allowing me to speak. At that point, I was not even given the job quote or had a chance to express my concerns. He also inappropriately claimed that he has the “biggest lawyer in town and will win every case.” After an hour later, I was told that he was sorry and offered a $250 discount. I had not even asked for a price reduction but wanted to express my concerns about the floors and the washer/dryers. Because it was late and I wanted to get my toddler to sleep, I accepted the unilateral offer without negotiation. I really wanted the awful experience to end. Upon trying to pay the price, I was told that I needed to pay the full price and he would mail me a check later. By that point, I had built such a distrust for what had happened and I pleaded for them to take the payment with discount. The lead mover told me that he wouldn’t accept it and would not let me leave to pick up my daughter. He threatened to call the police on me. I agreed to calling the police because I felt the situation turned shady. The police told us that it was a civil dispute but that I should put the transaction on credit card for more protection. Meanwhile, John was on speaker phone trying to pressure me into paying partial cash. I asked him why he wouldn’t let me pay the balance and he stated it was “policy.” From my understanding, he bullies you into paying the full price and sends in a check later so that if you write a review on social media, he can say he compensated you. To be honest, this was not the compensation I wanted. It would have been better if he actually listened to my concerns and tried to come up with a resolution. Instead, the debacle added another 1.5-2 hours of wasted time for us all. It also left a bad taste in what should have been a happy experience moving into my new family home. In addition to this, when I finally got home, I saw that the master bed had been assembled incorrectly. Not only was this a hazard and potential liability, but when I wrote the company, they wrote a completely unprofessional response: “Oh really! Can you do it yourself? If not, can you call a company to do that for you? When they come, please keep telling them that you are not satisfied from their service . Thank you! Have a wonderful night ✨.”

I am 100%, a real person and a real customer. I hired JFK for my moving experience and I could not be more happy with the results. This is my first time hiring a moving company and I was very skeptical because of all of the reviews I read about other moving companies. I can say with 100% confidence that JFK moving was far superior to any other company I found. The two gentlemen who did my move we’re hard-working, courteous, efficient, polite, and kept me informed every step of the way. These guys went the extra mile for me and made sure that I was happy. When there was a problem with a sofa that was too large to fit up the steps, my movers would not give up. We ended up getting the sofa inside and this was extremely impressive to me. The workers did not try to milk the clock to add extra hours in nor were there extra miscellaneous charges that came up that were previously not disclosed. Overall, I am enthusiastically leaving this review for this moving company if you are on the edge of making a decision of which moving company to use, I can tell you that I unequivocally recommend that you hire these guys

Marcel lead the 3-man crew and made a plan to be efficient. Although it took longer than expected, did a phenomenal job and everything made it on one piece. All the crew (Marcel, Ahror, and Cory) did a fantastic job. All three has great personalities. They were polite and accommodating to my questions. They place the furniture exactly where my wife wanted them. And left my how clean. Look forward to referring my friends.

Hired JFK to handle my move. I have a lot of film equipment as well as arcade machines. Both which need to be handled with care. Additionally they were moving these heavy items to a 4 story house. The hardwood stairs had just been resurfaced and they hand carried everything - no dollies used to protect the stairs. They sent a friendly and professional crew and made a stressful day as easy as possible. I found them through google as they are verified and been in business over 20 years. I see why! These guys were great!

I had a great experience. They were very helpful and careful with my belongings. They disassembled two pieces of furniture and re assembled them at the drop off location. They had blankets and some other materials that helped keep my things safe. I felt very comfortable!

Moving with attitude. Too lazy to move an extra mattress with an hour and a half left of the three hour minimum. I had to help move the couch up the stairs after the main guy said it wouldn’t fit and stated this isn’t normal moving. Maybe he was just having an off day.

We needed help moving a couple of heavy furniture down 2 flights of stairs with no elevator, and Luis from JFK moving did not complain or hesitate at all. Wrapped up all the items with blankets and plastic wraps and was careful even with the heavy stuff
