Oh boy, should I have read the Yelp reviews before booking John. Due yourself a favor and trust what is written there. I recently had an outrageous phone call with John, where he had a completely inappropriate tantrum and quite literally began yelling at me, all because I reminded him that some of the work his team had done was sloppy. Which it was, and you will see that noted on Yelp throughout. Instead of having him come back to do touch-ups, I ended the working relationship on the spot as I don’t want someone so volatile in my home. His team was polite and fast, it’s just their attention to detail that is lacking. But none of that matters when the owner you’re dealing with is bizarrely hostile. To quote a previous yelp reviewer: “John seems incapable of admitting fault in *anything* and thinks very, very highly of himself and his company's work. They do good work, but the customer service and attention to detail are sorely lacking. In the end, he's just a regular house painter.” Sums it up beautifully. I could not agree with this more.

I used JP Interiors to do interior house painting, including a couple of special things like a "cocoon room" - all one color- and lime wash painting the majority of my new house. I have a very strong aesthetic and pretty solid opinions, but John was the most wonderful help in picking out the colors, doing the job quickly and professionally and super responsive. His team of painters were so kind to my house and to work with. I really can't thank them enough. My little "white box" condo looks better than I could have imagined!

John the owner of JP Interiors really knows about old houses, and my 1899 Brownstone interior stairs and walls needed a lot of sanding and plastering. His advice on colors and his suggestions were extremely helpful. HIs amazing team of plasterers and painters did an excellent job - clean up everyday was always done well and I am thrilled with the results. Would definitely recommend them to anyone. My walls, stairs, spindles, baseboards and 12 doors look new.

The JP Interiors team was very flexible with our moving timeline, as well as responsive, and the quality of the work was really great! John and his team were great. He came and did an accurate evaluation, and then his crew was fast, efficient and flexible in getting the work done. They fit us in during evenings and weekends, and quickly fixed one minor miscommunication. They didn't disrupt our neighbors and left no mess when they were finished.
