A fantastic hair salon to visit whilst in Sri Lanka! I was visiting Sri Lanka for 3 weeks over the Christmas/New Year break. Jaal was walking distance from my hotel and the staff there were extremely accomodating when it came to booking my hair (and my mother’s hair) in for a wash and blow dry on multiple occasions. I also coloured my hair at the salon and they were very knowledgeable in helping me find the best colour to suit my skin tone and wants. The staff members were very warm and welcoming and always made me feel at home when I visited the salon. Will genuinely miss them all and I look forward to going back to Jaal on my next visit!

I have been getting my haircut and color done by Kanchana at Jaal Salon for more than six months now. I come all the way from Marawila to Colombo because of his exceptional service. He always makes sure that he meets the exact requirements of his client. He also assists his clients in choosing the best haircut and color based on their appearance and complexion. If you are someone who is hesitant to go for a new hair cut or color, I recommend you book an appointment with Kanchana and feel the difference. Once again, I highly recommend Kanchana at Jaal Salon for all your hair makeovers.

Actually is not a five star salon, it could be below average saloon in five star hotel! The barber was not professional and seem like he just walkup and he start his duty! He didn’t make any clean to the face either in washbasin or by using towel, even before or after finished shaving, the barber was seem like he just learn this job and he was wearing a sport wear like he his going to sport club! Which is unfortunately not related to profession of shaving, the girl in the reception was have a nice welcome and the place was equipped with good equipment and decorations

Sadly not impressed of the salon of a five star rating. It is very small, very basic. The area for washing the hair (only 2 chairs and sinks) a small area very dark shared with 2 pedicure chairs and next to it was a room for treatments. Worst of all the decor and ambiance of poor taste. I had an ammonia free color and treatment for dry hair LKR10,000 which is quite pricey in comparison to everything I experienced. I do like to try new places - salons and spas this was disappointing Am a travel blogger and contribute to writing reviews to various magazines.
