Really great experience with Phoenician. We highly recommend them. This year we needed to get ourselves a new accountant that would take the time to understand what is going on with our situation and help us to get the best tax return possible. In years previous we had been seeing a private accountant and decided to give Phoenician a try simply because they were conveniently located for us. We popped in and were directed to speak to Sam, who was helpful, and eager to help us out. We primarily had Abbas dealing with our income taxes and he really helped us get to the nitty gritty and dealt with all our spreadsheets in a most efficient manner. Any questions he had he contacted us by phone and email, which I really appreciated that he did both. They literally completed our taxes for this year in less them 72 hours. Plus they used the information from our taxes last year and offered that they could help us out on those ones as well because we felt they were incorrectly filed from our last accountant- right away they saw what was missing and were super great about also completing our taxes for 2015 in record time as well. Cost wise they were a really cost effective switch for us and I felt they offered services better than what our private accountant was offering. I have to put a little shout out to the front desk staff as well who are super friendly and always have a big smile for us when we come in. We are excited to use their services again and won't hesitate to recommend them to our friends and family.

There is no way to please every client as a business owner or a corporation. I am against people getting angry and leaving Google reviews without talking to the business owner to try and solve the problem they are facing, and is the business tries to rectify it, then the client should appreciate that and acknowledge it. I have been with Jaberson & Associates accounting firm for more than ten years, and they are very professional and provide excellent services – especially the owner, Sam Jaber. He is straightforward to deal with and very supportive. If businesses have excellent or bad Google reviews, it should not be relevant because I believe each case has its own story. They have been doing their job right and supporting our businesses ensuring we get the accounting and tax advice we need. it’s impossible to please every single client and to have 100% good reviews. Absolutely the worst company, worked with them for about 4 years any one sent to deal with the company was lost, arrogant, rude, had to eliminate all contact directly to me the controller because of manipulative behavior. Worked with about 3-4 employees and directly spoke with the owner all the exact same personality. Taxes were always late, year end was always late, no reports generated from the company monthly have to ride them to get work done and they try to change processes every time u speak to them absolutely no consistency or efficiency or set procedures just pure chaos. Not convinced anything was done properly either because the accountants never had any idea what was going on. Update to owners reply: Thanks for proving me right. And publicly showing the way u speak to people who your work with. I was the controller not your client. I know better then to be your client .

NEVER HIRE THESE PEOPLE. PLEASE. I Never ever want this to happen to another person. I wish I could give less than a one star rating. Phoenician Accounting made Tax time HELL for me. Like most people, I don't know much about accounting so I was looking for help but one of their accountants, Vadim out of St ALbert SCREWED ME OVER. He nearly forced me to incorporate my extremely small business. I am a subcontractor and make less that 50k and he thought incorporating would be best. I disagreed but he filed for incorporation anyways. When i brought up my confusion and made it clear that is never what I wanted, he threatened me with collections and tricked me with a meeting but instead gave me a bill. I've never been more confused or more frustrated in my life. I am still dealing with the fallout of his poor business tactics. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE.

This Firm is excellent! My partner and I have been dealing with Sam for over 10 years personally and business wise. On both sides he has went above and beyond to make sure our stuff is well organized. Through the years yes we have had different book keepers but that is the name of the game. BE VERY AWARE. This company totally dropped the ball. The bookkeeper that was my contact is not working there anymore. My last contact was November 2021...I believe my year end is December 2021...not too sure. I am not a financial type of guy Anyway I finally get really annoyed at no communication. No response from voicemail or messages emails⁸. I eventually here back from Sam Jaberson who I know know is not registered with the BBB or Alberta Chartered Professional Association. Tax time is not my favourite season not even close, Sam and his team know how to make things simple but make sure to capture every tax saving opportunity.
