What was once actively known as "Bentury" has come and gone. For me: as of today(08/09/21) the space will now un-officially boast weekly watch parties for--The Bachelorette--The rooftop deck portion being the gathering spot for the most serious of fans(such a focused and intentful audience, you can literally smell the anguished disapproval and the fairytale glee as it accumulates in either direction) The look of the establishment has a sort of chic mother earthy vibe to it, and the entrance patio is now privately enclosed with turf walls (they also make appearances indoors). As it is with anything, change is always good. This space feels more like a foodie destination then the weekend night out it used to be. I almost didn't make my way here tonight on the grounds of a couple published reviews claiming an unimpressive culinary offering. However, after carefully reviewing more reviews from the authors of each unpleasant review, I changed my mind and decided to go see for myself. While I didnt get a chance to try everything the menu had to offer. I did start my evening with the Swordfish tacos and a glass of the Halva Lemonade. The pair worked well together. The tortillas were prepared as the culture would have it observed, I didnt get to see how they heated them up, but since they didnt crumble, I knew for a fact they were not subject to a nuking. The swordfish was cooked to standard, any more heat and it would have caused a chemical altering that would have left the filets with a fishy stink. The rest of the fixings in the tacos though non traditional (for my taco purists out there), did a great job amplifying the protiens flavor profile. The repollo was seasoned, the red onion was pickled as expected, but the star of the fixings show was the chipotle mayo('aoili', for the culinary high brows reading this)...it was an indulgence of flavor. I recommend you try it for yourself. I then requested the Calamari Federal Hill style, and an ice cold glass of coke. Unfortunately for me, it was Royal Crown Cola and not Coca-Cola. I was looking for that intensity that only Coca-Cola provides. The Calamari came well accompanied, the sliced green onion stems along side the banana peppers crunched oh so nicely and established enough of a sweet acidity, that I needed not to request anymore lemon wedges. It then occurred to me that I might want to dip some of this Calamari in the Chipotle Mayo(Aioli) that was a hit for me from the previous order of Swordfish tacos; best move I made tonight. I highly recommend you also give this a try. I gave it 5 stars because it was worth the risk, and the food wasnt as bad as other reviewer(s) warned. If It was the other way around and the reviews were a hype train, I would have had higher expectations and less leniency. The place was very cute and the drinks and food were great. Until the very end when we paid. We did not tip on card and I wanted to tip the waiter who was wearing glasses in cash in the end just as a personal thank you. He got busy waiting on other tables and so I waited around till he was done. As he was walking by getting supplies for other guests, he glared at me and said “some of us got bills to pay.” And started slamming items. Little did you know I was waiting for you the whole time and was going to tip you anyways.. so I gave the tip to security up front and told him to just give the waiter the tip instead because I knew if I waited around for him I knew I was going to lose it on him. Me being a manager myself if my worker acted like that I would have corrected it right there.. I understand times are tough for us all. I have worked in and managed in the food industry for years.. So people rely on tips. But just next time, before you throw a fit about not getting tips, think before you react. I had such a wonderful time and he honestly ruined it for me in the end.. not everyone who goes to portland is made of money. The tip I gave him was all the cash I had and I genuinely thought he deserved it. Overall the place is great but I probably won’t come back.

Watching March Madness here was a joke. We were here on day 2 of the tourney and spent most of our 3+ hours here struggling to watch games that we wanted to watch. A 16 seed was beating a 1 seed and that game was tucked away on an auxiliary TV with no audio, while 80% of TVs were showing the same blowout game. (One of the primary TV's in the stadium section of the bar was even showing a college wrestling match because that's what one of the bouncers wanted to watch). Channel change requests were extremely slow, to the point of being useless -- this is probably by design, so patrons just give up. Once it hit 7 pm, when there was still a full slate of basketball games going on, they switched to party mode and stopped playing any game audio out of the TVs. The reason this was a 2-star night and not a 1-star is because the food was great and the staff was attentive when it came to seeing if we needed more drinks or food. You can get a delicious burger ordered and eaten in the time it takes a channel to get changed. This place has so much potential as a sports bar but they insist on also trying to be a club, even during huge sporting events like March Madness.

Cool spot. It gets busy, in a good way - if you like that. Personally, when it got busy I just wanted out. Acoustics aren't great, so you have to yell. People want to dance and they have a DJ so it seems encouraged, but dancing isn't really accommodated. When I was there, they put the DJ near the entrance, where the tables are. They have an arena-like pit in the basement which was unused other than a few people watching tv. If you ask me, the pit should be treated more like a dance club and the front like a sports bar. Play loud music down there and let people have a quiet escape on the upstairs patio. It seems like the organizers are blind and don't adapt to the customers. That said, its a cool place, it just needs some better planning.

Jackies is a mix of everything. Sports bar, dance club, and everything in between. I personally try to avoid weekend nights here. Lines are usually out the door. Way too crowded. For some reason they usually have the DJ outside where there's no room to dance. You think they would have it inside where there is a better setup for that. However, I do love coming here when its more chill to watch sports. They have the perfect stadium style seating inside to watch games. Their rooftop is pretty awesome as well. You can't beat it. The food is really good, and I have never had a problem with service. The cocktails aren't great though and surprisingly their beer selection is terrible for being in Portland. Overall, the vibes are good here it just depends on what you are looking for.

So it was Sunday 1/15. Mind you it was busy in the context of sports due to the football season winding down. Unfortunately there’s not enough Soccer pubs around the area if so they’re pretty full. I was last minute trynna find a place to go and I asked the gentleman at the front who you first meet who is security :) and told him if they could possibly play the soccer match between Real Madrid and Barcelona and they did! I’m stoked to have come across Jackie’s cause now when I can cure my hangover and watch football football and down a beer or 2 on a chill Sunday munching on some good food! Personally got the birria nachos which were tasty! Cheers to the crew that day for being friendly and taking care of us! (Me and my dad) hit this place up if you haven’t!!! - Teo

Usually i don’t leave any comments but i think i should this time :/ The Asian bartender, when i was asking for the menu, they didn’t even respond but just pointed the menu with their finger. I thought they can’t say anything but they can. (This one had such attitude not just this time but also last time) Also for the drink, i been here twice and ordered the same drink. The color and the taste been different. I believe i can make better cocktail :’( I thought last time, that bartender has their own problem, so it would be okay this time. That’s why i came again, but i would never come to this place. I know this place, usually, people do not come for good food or good service, but i wish i could see the basic etiquette/manner, at least, as a human :)

While the bar itself has a great layout and the drinks are good, the security/bouncers make this establishment not worth visiting at all. I have been several times now and have seen reviews stating similar experiences. They are creepy, rude, and unprofessional. Friends of mine and myself have been felt up past the point of a normal pat down. Most recently they looked at my I.D, claimed it was fake, and then bent my official documentation to the point of causing a massive crease down the center of the I.D. This now has messed up the bar code on the back. If they are doing this to real I.Ds, I can’t imagine how many fakes get through because this security force clearly doesn’t know the difference.

Dope spot to visit on the weekends if you're into the club scene, especially on the weekends. But MAKE SURE TO CHECK YOUR CREDIT CARD STATEMENT. It could be a mistake but I was charged a little extra! It was I had the same drink and left the same tip but one charge was two dollars more than I had left. Yes, it's only two dollars but don't adjust people's stuff.

This is a new spot that we checked out for brunch. Downstairs was packed and they had a DJ spinning records. This is more of a place to be seen rather a food spot. Lots of nice people dressed up at noon on a Sunday. Not really our thing, but the upstairs deck was almost empty so it didn’t matter. We ordered from the downstairs bar because we couldn’t get a server to take our order (or the other tables orders). The busboy helped get us someone when he saw me ordering from the bar. The food was decent, the drinks were flashy and lacked any flavor other than sugar water and rail liquor. I would go back, but I’m not in a rush. Give them sometime to settle in and get there flow down.

  • Adam

Highly don’t recommend this place. First I want to say that I’m all for having good security and keeping a place safe. That being said as a concealed carry permit holder that is well trained and carry’s consistently, I found it odd that they had a problem with my licensed and registered firearm. I don’t drink and was simply the designated driver/security for my group of girls as Portland has flat out became dangerous over the last few years. The bouncer asked me to put my firearm in the car and come back but I refused as that is a big no no in the way of firearm security and responsibility, I simply chose to take my business elsewhere.

Great place to watch sports and eat great food. Get there early if you want to sit in the stadium-style seating. Awesome outdoor rooftop and patio spaces, too. Bevies are definitely on the pricey side ($8 for a draft beer, $8 for canned cider seems very steep). The burger and fries is $14 which is right in line with Portland pricing and one of the better burgers you'll get in this town. I can't stand the music (pop/rap/hip-hop) but that's just me - some other people seemed to like it so if that's your thing you probably will too. Great place overall.

  • anna statz

Century was good, Jackie's is better. The food was good, the patio remodel is fantastic, drinks were fine, service was excellent. They have table service upstairs now which is great, some fire places, heaters, and good people watching. The music they were playing the night we went (Saturday) was really good, an excellent mix of throw backs. Lines form very early, by 8 there was a line but it moved quickly and security was very efficient and pleasant. Much has stayed the same but the changes the new owners did make are great!

Beautiful restaurant, but ridiculously overpriced. I ordered the crab eggs benedict and for $16, I was expecting a decent portion of crab. I would be surprised if what I got turned out to be more than 1 oz of crab meat total. Worse yet, there was very little actual flavor to the dish. :( In essence, I paid $16 for one English muffin, two eggs, a few pieces of salad greens, and a couple tablespoons of hollandaise sauce. No, there were no sides included. Unfortunately, there’s nothing here food-wise that would make me return.

  • Amanda Martin-Tully

Jackie's is the type of brunch spot you see in the movies. Everyone's ridiculously good looking and well dressed regardless of the time of day; the sunglasses are always stylish, though probably left on to hide the hangover versus people wanting a mysterious sense of anonymity. Jackie's is the perfect spot to meet friends after a night out, or even just grab a casual drink with a sexy Hinge date after work. I personally recommend the fried chicken and waffles, because it's rare to find the combination done so expertly.

  • Coneydub Creations (Coneydub)

Killer vibes, good music, beautiful people, craft drinks and ample space made this club stand out to me. Lots of places to sit and chill, indoor/outdoor, private party rooms, and several bars to get drinks from. I didn't get to try the food because we were dancing most of the time. The music was good and everyone was having a good time. It can be crowded but the clientele mostly look clean and adjusted, nothing too scary but I wouldn't want to go there unvaccinated due to the proximity and close quarters.

  • Erika Sweet

Super cool space and fun atmosphere but was swindled by the door staff. My friend and I asked if we could go smoke outside of the establishment. We were told that is fine, to just come up afterwards and they would let us back in. Upon our return, my friend was allowed in (who is exceptionally pretty) but for me (who resembles a 12 year old boy); I had to pay $40 cash if I wanted to get back in. Still very confused by the whole situation. Shout out to the guy inside who handed over $40 to get me in!

I stumbled on this place when I was looking for a sports bar to watch a Thursday night football game. I had no idea this place was more of a night club because immediately before you even enter an extremely rude dude says he has to "pat me down." I was so confused. He then begins to grope every part of my body like I'm on cell block D. It was so weird. I've been in Portland a long time and I've never been strip searched before entering a freakin' sports bar at 4 in the afternoon.

  • Anthony Zamora

The vibe at this place is great ! Music and ambiance is cool. The food is way overpriced and not good at all. Sounds mean but it’s the truth . The chilaquiles were very dry and looked like Doritos thrown on a plate with meat on top . Very disappointed. The French toast was not cooked all the way . The prices for everything is just ridiculous . Service was also not the best . Our server was all over the place having conversations with other tables instead of checking in on us .

  • Ryan Wantland

This place is the trifecta. Great drinks, great food, great atmosphere. I've had at least a bite or two of most of the menu, and everything is awesome. Some of my personal favorites are the burger, crab benedict, birria brisket nachos, and the crab dip garlic bread. As far as ambience is concerned, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better outdoor brunch setting in Portland. The view of the West Hills from the rooftop deck is amazing. Highly recommend Jackie's!

  • Zachery McLaughlin

Had an issue where I was overcharged by twice the amount I paid when I went in, but a few days later the charges were fixed and everything was good. Drinks were good and the atmosphere was great. Leaving the review at 3-stars because of the issue that occurred, plus the lack of any good way to communication with the business if anything does happen that needs resolved. Overall though, a good place to visit and hang out with others.

  • Karinna B

I really do like this place. The environment is great, they have roof top seating available, outside seating with fireplaces & indoor. The awesome thing is you'll find something for everybody. They have huge TV projectors to watch sports games, they have basic and cocktail drinks and the food is delicious! I would recommend the Agua Fresca Margarita and the Birria Nachos! Plan a visit to Jackie's, you wont regret it!

  • Phoenix Beauvais

If you want to be served by beautiful people in a fun & stylish atmosphere surrounded by an ambiance of fun, loving & intoxicating energy - Jackie’s hits the spot! The food, sensational. The presentation, exquisite. It’s the everything for me . This about to be the OG hangout spot, I absolutely loved my experience & I can’t wait to go back again & again & you already know i’m about to back again!

  • Jennifer Garcia

Food was good and drinks were good. Our server was not the best though. Took about 15-20 minutes to get something started, we had to ask for waters twice and didn’t get it until we were done eating, drinks didn’t come out at the same time, my order was wrong, didn’t even get checked on once, didn’t get our bill by the waitress so we had to pay inside. Also, they charged me an extra $14?

  • Coral Weber

Super rude service, the security was rude as well. The security acted like they got paid a 30$ hr salary but gave a 4$ salary attitude. Definitely alot of eye rolls but not enough service to even suggest the attitude. I would come back if i felt my money was being spent in a environment that was given baddie/ bad bitxh aesthetic.

Nice atmosphere. Really nice hosts. They really need to work on the servers timing. They took forever to take our order and to check on us, etc. maybe they were under staff? But the servers were SO nice and funny!! Food was really good and the drinks too! There’s a young vibe there. Really young vibe, but everything was smooth and people were having a good time!!! Would go back:)

  • CHANNY’s CASA

Received good service from the bartender but the white door guy was rude, kicked us out 40 min before close and told me to chug my drink because they are not busy. I’m confused on that logic, like just because you guys are not busy you don’t just kick out your customers. You don’t know who may be at your bar. Change your google times to “hey we close when we feel like it”

  • Hailey Stalcup

Gilbert the waiter was his name very unprofessional and needs a evaluation check . Before you throw a tantrum because I didn’t tip you on card but did tip you in cash instead think before you react . Absolutely didn’t deserve the tip in the first place. His attitude was poor , talked about highly inappropriate things . Definitely won’t recommend this place to anyone .

  • abigail lyda

terrible experience. had a “bouncer” dressed in regular clothes throw out my friend after horribly verbally assaulting her and then called me mentally challenged for standing up for her. this man has has MANY problems with women over the course of many years. blindly trusting security guards NO MATTER WHAT is absolutely no way to run a business and not sustainable.

  • Scott Mazariegos

Meet some friends for an after-work drink. The drinks are a little on the speedy side (city prices) and getting frisked at the front door at 5pm on a weeknight was really weird. The drinks themself are good and on the sweet side so we switched to shots :) When we moved on to beer in the can, the menu said 16 oz but really were 12 oz for the same price.

  • David Barron

Gross and unnecessary bouncers frisk you almost without asking. The only bars I know in Portland that do this are owned by the same person. A real shame, Century and Circa 33 were wonderful before this guy ruined those spaces. Keep your paws to yourself, Portland has a million great places to eat and drink.

Jackie’s is such a beautiful space with an amazing atmosphere - definitely unique for Portland! Enjoying amazing brunch food (chicken and waffles and crab benedict) while watching the Olympics on the big screen in the stadium style seating was a fun and unique way to spend a Sunday morning! Can’t wait to go back for brunch and college football!

  • Hemantha Chowdary

Way too Overpriced for watered down drinks. The stadium seating inside the bar was awesome. But the cocktails tasted like some juice and had a lot of ice. The Fries were average and the swordfish tacos were undercooked. The service was okay. There were a lot of crowds but in my honest opinion there's a lot of undeserving hype with this bar.

  • Ronald Watts

Jackie's is a great place for a night out. Comfortable with a diverse and fun crowd. Outdoor lounge with fireplace, roof top seating, dance floor, live dj, stadium seating for sports viewing, fun and energetic staff. It's our go to place for fun downtown.

A bar which can't decide what it is. A mix between a sports bar and dance club, resulting in competing noise. The layout is difficult to get around, with a pinch point in the middle exacerbated by letting too many people in. Security checks for knives but service provides pointy steak knives. Not sure much logic is present anywhere.

  • Lauryn Denton

Security guards are rude and hostile. They think they're cops with the way they act. They have no problem frisking you and getting in your face for no reason. You can't stand anywhere for more than a few minutes without a security guard either yelling at you to move, or shoving past you. Super unnecessary and such a vibe kill. More

  • daniel cavanaugh

Jackie's is a weird spot. This doesn't feel like a Portland bar. First, you get a hyper invasive pat down before going in. Next, it feels like a weird mix between a posh dance club and a sports bar. Last, they only have 3 beers on tap an IPA, Modelo, and Coors light. I'm sure this place is someone's jam, certainly not mine though..

  • Isabelle Lussier

Amazing space and great patio! We got there at 6 and didn’t have to wait in line. Drinks are good! Our favorites were the Agua Fresca Margarita, Del Prete’s mojito and Ms. Pittman. The swordfish tacos, Shrimp Po’Boy, solid gold hot wings were good, the calamari was overcooked. The staff was really friendly and everyone was helpful.

  • Charlie Te

I liked that they were able to keep the inside the same from the previous business. It's definitely great to be able to enjoy some snacks and drinks and watch part of the game. The birria nachos were tasty and the old fashioned was good. The exterior went through some upgrade. Overall, nice a good spot to chill on the weekday.

  • Rabi Dixon

Super accommodating staff and fun atmosphere, stadium seating for projectors, highly recommend! I dropped in with a friend to watch a race and they set aside an area for us to make sure we could see and here, even with just two of us. Will definitely be back for more!

The cocktails while pricey are very good. We love watching games here but I do wish they would play the sound instead of music. The amount of people complaining they couldn't bring guns in because of the bouncer in the reviews is horrifying and makes me feel better that they have a bouncer. I will definitely be back.

  • Joshua Lenker

Had a great afternoon hang here on a Sunday. Music was great, staff was super friendly, drinks were too notch. I had their slushy if the day and it was delicious and creative. I'd recommend this spot to anyone looking for a patio spot in the afternoon. Also lots of TVs for whatever sport you are wanting to watch.

  • Jonathan Isett

Cool spot to hang in Portland. Upstairs roof deck has killer views of skyline and a slick fireplace. Excellent food too. Plenty of TVs for watching whatever sport you want. Fire pit downstairs has ample seating and the indoor section has a great bar and music. Worth a stop if you’re looking for a drink and sports

  • Woodlyne

Ambiance was amazing. Great music. Alcoholic drinks were spectacular and strong— just what I needed. Food was subpar. I had the chicken sandwich and although I like spiced foods (it was very spiced) but did not really have any flavor besides cayenne/paprika, salt and pepper. But I’ll definitely be going back

  • Chris Homsley

Food is good and the staff are pleasant. Not really a fan of the teenybopper music they constantly play (Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus? Seriously guys?) and you get a LOT of sketchy/undesirable bums prowling around late at night harassing people outside.

Jackie's is a great place... The overhead heaters definitely did their job. It was raining and I was able to take off my coat because of the overhead heaters... It's definitely a great experience. I've been there twice now and will be back... Lots of flat screens to enjoy sporting events. …

  • J.J. LaRocque

Jackie’s is super under rated! I’d give it 5 stars any day. Such a cool experience, with a rooftop patio, indoor sports movie theatre vibe and cocktail / restaurant experience. The burger and fries was fantastic along with nice cold beer on tap. I’ll be sure to be back for the football games!

  • Molly Monahan Consulting LLC

The screens were big, lots of seating, the food was a super small amount considering the price. 18 bucks for 8 wings, 'celery crudites' was 3 wimpy pieces of celery. The drinks were good but also very over priced. Staff was excellent. Won't go back for food!

  • Hayli Lundin

Poppin on a Friday night! Great LA type atmosphere. Great lychee gin and tonic. Delicious berry mojito. Highly recommend. Great atmosphere and didn't have to pay to get in! U feel safe too because they do bag checks and pay downs with extra security

  • Beau HD

Super cool vibe but that's the main appeal. It's not the weak drinks, stingy condiments, and definitely not the beer. There was hardly any beer selection even though it's a sports bar! This bar could be great but currently it's mediocre at best.

  • kid Mendoza

This is the spot!! Huge TVs everywhere if your trying to watch a game. 4 different atmospheres... Stadium theme, outdoorsy feels, rooftop experience, and just an overall great party/hangout vibe!! Nice addition to Portland! IG @kid594 #BeinKids

  • Aub Driver

First thing you'll notice is the astroturf siding that creeps up the walls of this establishment. It's got a sunken dance floor with bleacher seats which make it one of the best places to watch a game in PDX. Definitely a fun place to stop by.

  • Brett M

Had time to kill and wanted to grab a quick beer at 6PM on a Monday. Had ID checked at the door but a pat down was required to enter a very empty bar. Apparently the weekend crowd is rowdy. Staff working the door was friendly so there's that.

  • Melissa Jones

Such a fun new sports bar. I've been in this space before but they've really improved the outside so much. Much more seating including swings! The food was very greasy and not the best but the drinks were tasty and the people were really fun.

I’m giving a three start because it was a okey Experience here… I really went because I seen they had a roof top deck and I seen pictures online but when I showed up the roof top looked nothing like the pictures they show so that was alil

Got invited to watch the FIFA world cup here, got there and I couldn't get in because I was concealed carrying, yes they tap you down. They don't allow gun owners and they don't have nor provide security. This place doesn't deserve my $$

Place was nice but staff was rude and seem like they don’t want to be there. Reading a previous review about an Asian bartender for this place. I think we had the same bartender because I found him super rude and try’s to ignore most

What an awesome sport bar experience! The seating is similar to bleacher seating and really gives the you stadium vibes when people cheer! Well designed place, great food, cocktail options, and service!

  • Sean H

I wish this place was a sports bar. It’s something else. Cocktails come from a spout. LIMITED beer. Food was decent and service was fine. It’s just a weird upscale vibe. No wing and bottled beer though.

  • Dean

The ambiance, the set-up, the vibe and the service were all on point. If you're looking for a clean and relaxed place to unwind after a long day of who knows what, then Jackie's is the place to be.

  • Ale Hat

Amazing place that brings in the coolest and most diverse crowd in PDX. The nachos were delicious. Seriously amazing. Also good drinks. Music is bumpin’ and fun. I certainly recommend this place.

  • Max

Love the vibe here. Music is on point, food is great, cocktails could be better (but I do know that they aren’t a specialty cocktail bar so it’s not a big deal) - overall a dope experience!

  • Dave Grall

Cool, funky, hip place to hang out, didn't eat there but good drinks. Nice roof top lounge area. Lift or Uber would be a good idea, neighborhood is a little sketchy with limited parking.

  • Mamba Forever

Cool & trendy atmosphere with a sweet rooftop deck. Really great place to watch the game. Terrible taplist, though, for Portland and not sure the intent with their high price menu.

I love this place. The vibe is great. Great drinks and food options. There is a very cool interior seating for watching sports. It looks like bleachers.

Good vibe but when ordering a gin and tonic, the bartender charged my girlfriend $8 for the gin and an extra $2 for the tonic…never seen that before.

Great place. Good for brunch, clubbing, or just grabbing some drinks. They have a good cocktail menu and it's a fun place to be.
