IF I CAN GIVE THIS SCHOOL A 0 I WILL HAVE.. This is a VERY unprofessional school the employees such as VERY sarcastic MY SON 6YRS OLD HAS A DISABILITY DISORDER WITH A IEP IN PLACE NOT TO MENTION I GOT SO MANY CALLS SAYS I NEED TO PICK MY SON UP I HAD TO QUIET MY JOB... HE TOLD ME HE WAS HIT BY 3 DIFFERENT EMPLOYEES DUE TO HIS BEHAVIOR..AS A CONCERN PARENT I SOON CALLED DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL BOARD YES SOMEONE FROM THE DISRICT DID COME OUT BUT OF COURSE IT WAS SWEEP UNDER THE RUG. GROWN PEOPLE BELIEVE GROWN PEOPLE ACT. MY SON NO LONGER ATTEND THIS SCHOOL SON:BAD SCHOOL..and TALKING ABOUT VERY rude such as a incident with me and a BLACK HEAVY FIGURED FEMALE JUST SAYING NOTHING AGAINST BLACK PEOPLE I'M JUST GO SINGLE HER OUT AND SHE WORKS IN THE FRONT OFFICE. here I was sitting in the waiting area with me and my child now remind you he is sitting beside me she walks by the first time spoke then I spoke..Then she told my son TO SIT DOWN so at this point I'm like do you not see me sitting beside my child HE WAS MOVING IN THE SEAT A LITTLE BUT IT WASN'T LIKE HE WAS RUNNING AROUND AND STANDING UP IN THE CHAIR. so I looked at her and just held my head down she walked back by and said your son shot me a bird...ME:SOOOOO hold up my son is sitting right beside me And you telling me that I didn't see him...her:yes he shot me a bird when you wasn't looking...me:ok OK if he did I apologize but I didn't see it.. Her:yes he did and she STATED WELL WE BOTH WOMEN LETS HANDLE IT LIKE A WOMEN TO WOMEN SO AT THIS POINT I'M VERY BROTHER AND UNCOMFORTABLE SPECIALLY COMING FROM A STAFF MEMBER TALKING BOUT SHOCKED... the moral of the story this EMPLOYEE AT JACKSONVILLE HEIGHTS WENT BACK AND FOURTH WITH ME AS IF SHE HAD TO HAVE THE LAST WORD NOW REMIND YOU I THE PARENT HAD TO END THE CONVERSATION STATING I GIVE IT TO THE LORD ABOUT 6 TIMES BEFORE SHE WALKED OFF NOW THAT'S A TRUE DEFINITION OF RUDENESS AND SOMETHING YOU WOULD NOT EXPECT AT A SCHOOL LESS ON A ELM. SCHOOL SHAKING MY HEAD...DUVAL COUNTY SCHOOL DISRICT PLEASE CHOSSE WHO YOU HIRE AROUND ARE CHILDEN AND YES INFORCE DRESS CODE AND DIFFERENT HAIR COLORS SHOULD BE PROHIBITED LIKE ANY OTHER JOB NO YOU CAN NOT WHERE ALL THIS DIFFERENT COLORS IN YOUR HAIR... I'M SO CONFUSED AND DISPOINTED AT THIS SCHOOL.. BUT I'M ALL ABOUT AVCATING AND SCHOOL SAFTY BUT REALLY Y'ALL THINK DO THIS SOUND RATIONAL.. #WOW AND PARENTS IS PROMOTING TEACHERS AND STAFF WITH GUNS LIKE THIS.. #WOW THIS IS VERY SCARY AND SAD AMERICA ...PUT IN METAL DETECTORS PIAIN AND SIMPLE AND HAVE TWO PEOPLE ARMED ONLY AND THAT'S THE 2 RESOURCE OFFICERS STANDING BY MAIN ENTRANCE BY THE METAL DETECTORS.. OR MAKE IT SO ALL SCHOOLS ARE INSIDE MEANING CHILDREN CANNOT GO OUTSIDE BUILT IN PLAYGROUND DOORS ONLY WILL ALLOW YOU TO ONLY GO OUT LOCKED FROM OUTSIDE SO NO ONE CAN GET IN THE CLASS ROOMS FROM THE OUTSIDE BUT HAVE ACCESS TO THE KIDS TO LEAVE THE CLASS ROOM ONLY DOORS SO NOBODY FROM THE OUTSIDE CAN GET IN THE CLASSROOM AND ALL TEACHERS TO GET BACK IN HAVE A SWIPE CARD AND TO BE CARRIED AROUND THERE NECKS AND SCHOOL POLICY NOT TO BE TAKEN OFF FOR NO MANNER TO GET IN THE DOOR THE CLASSROOM DOOR BUT IT REALLY WILL BE NO PURPOSE TO REALLY LEAVE TO GO OUTSIDE BECAUSE THE CAFETERIA,PLAYGROUND,OTHER CLASSROOMS WILL BE ALL IN THIS ONE BUILDING.AND DISMISSAL TEACHERS AND STAFFF WILL HOLD DOORS OPEN TO RELEASE CHILDEN FROM SCHOOL AND IN CASE OF A FIRE PLACE FIRE DETECTORS IN EVERY CLASSROOM AND HALLWAYS WHICH I ASSUME THE HAVE ALREADY..#PEOPLE JUST PRAY.. #I PRAY FOR FLORIDA.... #MY CHILDREN... #ALL CHILDREN.....

This school treats the parents like criminals. I was not allowed to bring cupcakes to my son on his birthday because I forgot to register for a back ground check. I am the one who registered my son for school, I can pick him up for appointments, I can sign him in if he's late, I pick him up every day after school but I can't walk to his class to bring him cupcakes because they say I might be a sex offender! I wouldn't have custody of my child if I were a sex offender! I wouldnt be able to live down the street if I were a sex offender! I mean they verified my address and I have that address on my license. They don't promote parent involvement. It's like they prefer to operate behind closed doors and I don't feel comfortable at all with that. John Stockton would allow me to pop up and bring my son lunch or speak with teachers. This school has a "secretary" that sits directly in front of the door, blocking incoming traffic from passing like a security guard would, and she's not even apart of the front office staff. It's not inviting or parent friendly at all. My son will be switching schools ASAP!

This is a very unprofessional school. My mom's english has an accent but she's fluent in it. A teacher was on the phone with her talking to her like she was dumb. Calling about my little cousin. You should be calling his parents not us. The lady was very sarcastic with a rude tone repeating the same sentences. I took the phone and went off on this lady. If they're going to talk to grown people like this then i wonder how they're talking to people's children.

Unless your kids are black they don't care.... even then that's stretching... this school doesn't care about our children... the whole zero tolerance for bullying is bullshit... I'm going to need some help from the other parents who actually care about their kids to help fix this school with the school board.... I'm over the racist bs.... sooooooooo sorry we are white and it bothers your children

My daughter graduated from this school 10 years ago. She had a good foundation in Science and applied Mathematics and is currently pursuing her PhD in Organic Chemistry at Harvard University. She is very intelligent and because of her really good foundation during her years of study at this school she is pursuing her dreams of becoming a scientist couldn’t be more proud of her.

My babies just started Dec 2017 and i already plan to take them out ... it’s Ridiculous no matter how many times u go and complain (talk to principal) things continue to happen and they promise it won’t but it does ... these teachers fail to realize the students are not there child i will hurt one of them for mines ‍♀️ …

This is my children's first year at this school and I absolutely will be changing their school next year.Some staff at this school are very unprofessional. They are not resourceful and do not give a welcoming feel. There maybe one good handful of dedicated educators, but mostly teachers and staff that are just there to collect a paycheck.

My kids go to this school and i really don't like them going here cause for one thing teachers are rude and they always putting new principal every year they always want to fell or hold back your child treat them like they are dumb im going to try to find them a better school this year
