We were in Jacksonville on August 5, 2018 when our RV hitch failed and spontaneously uncoupled itself from our truck and flipped us over on I-295. The good people on the road behind us called 911 and helped my husband and I out of the truck. A physician was among them and quickly examined us both to make sure there were no severe injuries. The Jax PD arrived within a few minutes, took over the scene and were fantastic. They were kind, compassionate, efficient and caring. Tyler freed my German Shepard and two shih-tsu's from the disabled truck so gently that my overprotective Shepard just walked out like he knew Tyler. They put them in the back of Anna's police car, who left it running to keep them cool and safe. I wish I had all their names. They were so wonderful. They managed the scene and transported us to Adkinson's tow yard where we met further kindness and help. Thank you Jacksonville PD, Anna, Tyler, the other officers with you, whose names I wish I knew, Florida Highway Patrol, Adkinson's towing and the kind people who helped us. We are so grateful!

I called 911 to report a man unconscious at the ABC liquor store. The phone rang 6 times before a dispatch answered. Unacceptable! After I hung up with 911 , I waited with the man. TWO patrol cars passed right by us and didn’t stop. I waited a full 10 minutes, then the unconscious man began convulsing. I called 911 AGAIN. 2 patrol cars arrived immediately and assisted the old man. This response is unacceptable and unprofessional I hope Jacksonville Police Department addresses this issue.

I think all of us need to think about .. how little bit of info down waiting for a officer to watch servalence tape . Or type of typical . Description . For the apperace of the matter .. at a glance .. we all work. Your attention your help is very welcome and apreaceated ... please no harm .. only run or .. run it .. if you have too . Dare to stay safe and for others ... . . For a time of a coffee out the door. All most seems to be open . Be safe.

Called and spoke to someone on the phone right away. I did not have to wait a long tine. They were very polite and helpful and even friendly, which isn’t exactly necessary at a police station but is surely appreciated!! I went in and the guard was very courteous and there was no line for information services and the person who helped me print a police report was polite and understanding.

I called 911 after I was attacked by two dogs they neglected to show up for two plus hours and called me again saying an officer was on the way. I was already exhausted by that time and the officer may or may not show up the wait continues. Useless absolutely absurd how this played out. I’m appalled by the fact our country is run like this.

Was at the Tedeschi/trucks show in Jacksonville, never been to this venue before. Was smoking a cigarette in a area I guess your not supposed to and was accused of smoking weed. Officers neither searched or even checked, just assumed and threw us out of the show. Not professional in anyway shape or form. Rude disrespectful cops.

I was assaulted by a grown man at the Rolling Stones concert on 7/19/19. Two officers showed up and even after showing them the huge bruise developing on my arm, they threatened to throw me out because the man & his group of friends said that I "started it."

Very racist Police Department. Jacksonville in general are racists. I went to the academy in jacksonville and the staff members are racist to the top of the line, instructors and Officers.

Rude people, no help if you ask for assistance. Police should be defund. Maybe private policy will help. Somebody should do something. Crime is increasing and no help.

It most take truly brave man to stop jaywalkers. It must make your city proud to have such brave thugs, I mean men, on the force.

  • R. L. Creamer

Called 911 because a man was yelling and flashing a gun and calling names. Been half hour and still sitting here.

Never answer the phone. If they do come out it's over 2 hours later. Not safe
