So first of all some auto rickshaws wala arnd the jaipur railway station do frauds here and ask you very high or extra money. So avoid them all and dont entertain them if anyone try to fraud you and try plan to go from jaipur metro , it is very nearby to jaipur junction railway station. Now in jaipur , there is only one line of metro which runs/starts from mansarovar to badi chopad metro and between these stations it covers 9 metro stations and you can see in my uploaded photo. Metro services are not very quick like in every 2 minutes but it will not get delayed by more than 8-10 minutes for every another metro after one departs. Metro station is not very crowdy and you will alwys have seat to sit. Metro trains are fully AC. Some metro stations are little dirty because cleaning not done regularly but not bad. There is lift/elevators from bottom ground floor to top platform metro station at all metro stations cover by jaipur metro line. So use it avoid staircase if you have luggage Fare for the metro is ₹ 6 for one station travel single journey and ₹ 12 for 3 or 4 stations travel single journey. Overall cost friendly. It is still in development but it is already a good mean of transportation in Jaipur. I took the metro from the railway station to my hotel near Sindh camp, fast and much cheaper than a tuktuk. Fares vary according to the distance, about INR 9,00 to one startion to another. There are stations under construction wich will go till the Pink City and Hawa Mahal. Metro is having 9 total number of stations. Only underground metro station is Chandpole which is a part of Pink City. Prices of metro changes after 5 pm. Difference between arriving two trains on the platform is 15 minute.travelling by pink city metro made very easy to reach jaipur junction and sindhi camp bus adda in just 30-40 min. Otherwise earlier going by car/taxi was very frustating in heavy traffic.With most of the first line operating, the system looks like it will be a great addition to the city. Fares are low. Trains relatively frequent. Signage is good. Nice views from the elevated stations and railway too. Staff were on hand to assist as many passengers were unfamiliar.

Watch the train schedule, beware of pigeons and faulty token machines. It's walking from the Jaipur junction railway station, also connected via a bridge. Most of the floor is found to be covered in pigeon droppings. But that's not the issue. You cut their homes in trees and build a concrete jungle in place of it. This is bound to happen. Token machines can sometimes not detect your token at all if you swiped it once before (anywhere). At peak hrs it could get crowded. The metro train itself is very clean and well maintained. Also proper air conditioning in summers. The pigeon situation can be controlled by simply placing small wooden bowls or boxes in the roof ends of the metro station.

Once you come out of jaipur railway station never ask an auto rickshaw driver to take you for city tour. Not very extended route. Cleaniness is not that good, however very few people visit it so its not dirty either. Cheaper than auto rickshaws. No clear markings are made for entrance or exit like delhi metro, which makes it a bit confusing if you are not comfortable of metro culture. Nevertheless, It's public transport and better than the road traffic.

Facilities for passengers are good. Platforms are hot, seating is limited, but I don't expect seat for everyone could be provided. Water Coolers are inadequate. Toilets are dirty. Waiting rooms are there for different classes. Enquiry/annoucement people are present here to help. Snacks/Food/tea/cold-drinks stalls are present.

Metro train available at every 10 minutes interval. Best available transportation from Chandpole to Mansarovar. Route fare also very reasonable only 6, 11 and 17 rupees. If you go Mansarovar from Chandpole by bus it takes more then an hour to reach there but by Metro you can reach your destination within 12 minutes.

me & my friends have traveled in jaipur metro back in 2016. it was a short trip and due to lower traffic we enjoyed it very well.
