Thank fully not in bad shape like delhi jama masjid this mosque too should have been in much better conditions with muslim contribution but dont know why such mosques are not restored properly. Any ways in enjoyed my visit and would recommend any one visiting ahmedabad to visit this place. Prayed my isha namaz in this mosque and it was a good feeling wondering who all must have been here while this was constructed , how many people must have prayed in this mosque , this place like any other old monuments has so many stories within itself. It was nice feeling hope and pray that muslims learn to protect and maintain such monuments.

The magnificent and Built-in 1423, during the rule of Ahmed Shah. The architecture is a beautiful combination of Islamic & Hindu Architecture. It is built of yellow sandstone and white marble. The mesmerising and huge courtyard is made of white marble, surrounded by columns. The columns are decorated with Arabic calligraphy drawn on them, making it intriguing. The Jama Masjid is one of the main tourist attraction cause of majestic architecture. The prayer hall is supported by 260 columns.

旧市街に位置しているイスラーム寺院で、アーメダバード最大のモスクらしいです。 入口はいくつかあり、どれも割と小さいのですが、中に入るととても広々しています。 「ここから入っていいのかな？ここで合っているのかな？」と思いながら様子を伺っていると、地元の小中学生くらいの子たちが、「Jama masjid? ここで靴脱いで入るんだよー」と話しかけてくれました。その子たちも中に入ったのですが、元気に走ってどこかに消えていきました。 中庭みたいな広場がすごく広くて、囲うように建物や廊下があります。 宗教上の理由で女性が入ることのできない場所もあります。 周辺の喧騒から離れて、穏やかな空気が流れている場所でした。

જામા મસ્જિદ કે જુમ્મા મસ્જિદ એ ગુજરાત રાજ્યના અમદાવાદ શહેરની સૌથી જૂની મસ્જિદોમાંની એક છે. તે અમદાવાદના બાદશાહ અહમદ શાહે ઈ.સ. ૧૪૨૪માં બનાવડાવી હતી. આ મસ્જિદનું નિર્માણ થયું એ સમયમાં આ મસ્જિદ ભારતની સૌથી મોટી મસ્જિદ હતી. મસ્જિદની પૂર્વ દિશામાં અહમદ શાહ, તેમના પુત્ર, અને તેમના પૌત્રની કબર આવેલી છે જે અહમદ શાહ રોજા તરીકે ઓળખાય છે અને નજીકમાં જ તેમની પત્નીઓની કબર પણ આવેલી છે જે રાણીના હજીરા તરીકે ઓળખાય છે.

Its name is Jami masjid, not Jama masjid, Big area and well maintained, clean , and beautiful place,you can stay for rest, namaj and ther is vuju khana, and old heritage site so lots of architecture on walls and Stone locking system on construction. I visited at evening or near to night time and suddenly there war rain.and ramdaan

Old masjid in Ahmadabad . holly atmosphere. very good combination of history and architecture. worth to visit.
