THE OLD BAIT AND SWITCH! DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. We needed a toilet changed out and had purchased a new Kohler unit for our bathroom. During the estimate process, which was done through Yelp's project messaging system, I was quoted $280 for complete installation of our Kohler toilet and removal/disposal of the old unit. The first issue was when the workers arrived they told my wife who was present for the installation that installing the toilet would be $40 more because I hadn't told them what the toilet model was and that this was a "weird" toilet. To clarify, this was just a normal porcelain Kohler toilet that was essentially the same as the unit in place but in black, and they had been informed in the messaging system that it was a Kohler toilet and hadn't inquired beyond that. The second issue was that after they were finished they told my wife that it was going to be $50 more to take the old toilet away even though they said that was included in the initial estimate. So, now we are almost 33% over the original quote through their bait and switch pricing. The third issue is that the porcelain on the toilet was damaged from the manufacturer and they failed to notify us and just installed the toilet, which we are now going to have to get replaced and reinstalled! So, now we are at over 260% of the original quote. The fourth issue is when I contacted them to at least get the toilet removed from our back yard where they left it they initially said that they hadn't included the removal in the $280 quote even though it was clearly in writing a few lines above in the current chat we were having. This then led me to realize that the John K. in the chat from John's plumbing isn't actually the owner but apparently a group of employees that have access to the messaging and clearly aren't communicating with each other or even reading the earlier entries in a conversation. Whomever I was talking to then refused to talk to me and said I had to call Anna to resolve my issue. Long story short, after calling Anna numerous times and many failed promises later I still have the toilet sitting in my yard. So, as stated before, this company is using a bait and switch quoting technique betting on the fact that you'll just pay the extra money instead of sending them away once they are on site.

WARNING they do not repair water heaters, they will tell you your water heater is broken beyond repair and try to sell you an expensive new one. Our water heater stopped working suddenly, so I called John's Plumbing because it was nearby and had good reviews on Google. The receptionist told me she would try to send someone right away, and John texted me shortly that he was on his way. The first thing he did was complain about how hard it was to access the water heater. When I showed him the water heater he barely inspected it. Rather than getting his hands dirty and seeing what the problem was, he said off the bat that the heater was in terrible condition and he wouldn't even be able to turn on the pilot light. He was quick to recommend replacing it with a new one for $2,800. I told him we couldn't afford that and he said he could see if he could replace parts of it but that it would still cost me $1,100 and he still recommended replacing it altogether. I said I would think about it, but I was really upset that he wasn't very interested in solving the issue. A few minutes later, he called me to try to convince me to hire him. He said he could give me a 10% discount and that summer was over and I wouldn't want to spend the cold months without hot water. He suggested I paid him with a credit card. This really turned me off so I called a different plumber who had been recommended by a neighbor. Instead of trying to sell me a new heater, this new plumber inspected the heater, turned on the pilot light right away and determined that the only problem was a faulty valve, and that he could easily get a new valve. He was able to replace the valve without issue and we now have hot water again without having to replace the heater. John's Plumbing is just not reliable. It seems they care more about the profit from selling new water heaters than actually solving your issue.

I have two 50-gal water heaters, and after 20 years, one of them died. It was time to replace them both. After some research, I have decided on the high-efficiency tankless water heaters, specifically the Navien model NPE-210A2. Now comes the arduous task of choosing the right plumbing company; I set out to call all the top-rated companies in which John's Plumbing & Drain Services was included. My objective was: 1) a reasonable price, 2) speedy work, 3) a permit, 4) additionally, an installation of a whole building water filter. John himself came to check the site, and shortly after, I received the proposal. Notably, I was told how long it would take and the steps of the installation process. John is intelligent, easy-going, and an amenable person. The work executed by him and his team is neat and, most importantly it is timely and thoughtful; the job done has a sense of harmony, a beautiful proportion, and balance. While working on the project, I received regular communication updates from Anna via text or phone. Anna is an excellent asset to John's Plumbing & Drain Services team. John's Plumbing & Drain Services is now the company for all my properties' plumbing needs. I highly recommend them.

I highly recommend John's Plumbing. Their staff are very friendly, responsive and professional. I initially hired them to install fixtures for a washer and dryer in my detached garage, as well as a sink. Their quote was the best after comparing with 4 other companies. They not only handle the plumbing but they can also get any electrical work done that is needed. The work was done in a timely and professional manner and we were so happy with the job they did on our garage that we recently hired them again to install a filtering system for our home and to clear out a few backed up faucets. Once again, we are very pleased with the results! Our shower pressure has never been this good! Look no further, John's plumbing is top notch.

I called on a Saturday for a non-emergency plumbing issue and got an appointment set for 12:30 the next day. So far so good. At the time of the appointment the plumber called, asked a few questions, and proceeded to tell me the only solution would basically require a minor remodeling of my bathroom/s and he wouldn't come out in person unless I agreed to his estimate for doing that (which would have been thousands of dollars). That was a tough pill so I got a second opinion, after losing a whole day. Turns out the solution was only a few hundred dollars from Roto Rooter and didn't require any remodeling or repiping. This is such a shame because I WANTED to give my business to a local company....

I will 100% call John for all future plumbing needs and recommend him to everyone! John did a fantastic job repairing my hot water tank and Anna was super helpful in setting up the appointment. Before I found John's site, I had contacted other companies who sent out sales people instead of plumbers. John came prepared with the tools and parts to make a quick repair. I very much appreciate John's friendliness and professionalism and am thrilled that my water tank did not have to end up in a landfill.
