We have been using Jon's Pizza for quite some time now. However, after my last encounter with the establishment, it will probably be our last time ordering from here. We ordered through SkipTheDishes, and I have instructions requested to "Leave the order and the front door step, and text (my number) once delivered." The order was placed around 6:00pm, and by 7:45pm, I still hadn't received any text notifying me of my delivery. I decided to call the restaurant, who informed me that they had in fact delivered the pizza long ago. After going outside and finding out that the pizza is now cold, I called them back to request a refund. The man I talked to, who I assumed was the manager, was incredibly arrogant. After telling him that the pizza was now cold, he replies with "Well of course it is." And after requesting a refund, he goes on to tell me that the restaurant had followed the instructions and sent me a text (even though I never received one) and that he would not be willing to provide a refund, but rather give a credit for the next time we buy a pizza from them. Disappointing because the pizza really is great, and that's not what I have an issue with. The arrogance of the management is the reason for this review, and will also be the reason for us to never to return to this pizza establishment again.

Terrible service. They have so much business they have forgotten how important every customer is. Placed an order for two pizzas and was told the standard 35 to 40 minutes. We live 5 minutes away so knowing they would be busy I waited 45 minutes and then drove over. Stood in line waiting for 10 minutes then gave the lady my telephone number. She went off to someone and he came out and said “oh we had a problem with your order, you can take the one and come back in 20 minutes for the other. I said no I would like them both at the same time. He said come back in 30 minutes. So I waited. 30 minutes then back in line. Stood in line for another 10 minutes and then the lady saw me and for another 5 minutes she pretended I wasn’t there. Finally after going and talking to the cook she came back and said “ you can have the one but you will have to come back in 15 minutes for the other. I said “no thankyou” and I went to the big chain and picked up 2 pizzas and was home in 20 minutes. This is the third time this has happened in the last few months. To much business, don’t need to care anymore. One day they will look around and they won’t have to much business and they will wonder what happened. My family won’t be back even though we believe in supporting local business.

We ordered from Jon’s Pizza last night via Skip The Dishes to have it delivered. This is the 2nd time we have ordered from the restaurant and the 2nd time that we have been extremely disappointed. This time for numerous reasons though: firstly, it took the restaurant 45 min to confirm the order on STD, which led us to believe they were closed (especially as the hours listed on their website indicated that they were only open until 11pm on Fridays). We placed the order through STD at 11:15 & it was confirmed at 11:58 (and already delivered when we called to cancel it)!!! We ordered from another pizza place & assumed that our cc would not be charged. Well, we were quite wrong & ended up with 2 pizzas from 2 different restaurant!!!!! Secondly, when I called the restaurant, they blamed it on STD (& STD blamed the restaurant & was not willing to reimburse us). Thirdly, the pizza was terrible!!! It was over cooked, hard as a rock and smelt like feet!! We will never attenpt to order from this place ever again.

We tried to order from Jon's pizza. They took our order and then texted us very weirdly asking if we knew them personally. As though they would deliver to us only of we were friends. We only live 8 minutes according to Google but have 3 families with small kids here for a get together and couldn't do pickup. They took our order and it was nearly 20 mins before we found out they won't come now. They told us "it's not the distance it's the number of orders". I guess just because you are busy tonight customer service doesn't matter? Meanwhile everyone as hungry and now excited for Jon's now we need to reorder and figure out what everyone wants all over again which anyone who has ever tried to get three families with small kids to agree is a hassle. If we don't matter to Jon's , than they don't matter to us either. None of our families will order from there again. They were super rude.

Jons Pizza is far and away the best pizza in the SE of Calgary. What makes it so great? Well, let me explain. First off, the pizza is european-style, meaning big, thick slices, with all the toppings under the cheese. This ensures the cheese is melted over everything, and the crust is the only part of the pizza with any char. Second, they make very unique pizzas, with toppings that were arranged over dozens of years from owner to owner. They understand what makes the best pizza and will not hold back on the meat and veg. Finally, the pizzas are giant, so when you order a large, you're getting a large. You will feed a family of 4 with one large pizza, guarantee. And best of all, they are a local Canadian business. Nothing better than supporting local! Jons won the Pizza Pigoff contest in 2018, and it's for a reason! Go there, go there now!

Celebrated my BD with a 12 Inch Cheese burger pizza from Jon's Pizza. I ordered at the store and was told it would be about 20 minutes. Pizza was ready in less than 20. Took it home and I can't believe that I ate the whole thing!! The toppings cover the entire pizza and boy are they thick. In the middle of the pizza the toppings were probably over 1/2 inch thick! Plenty of everything and their homemade sauce is very delicious! With toppings that thick you might believe that the crust would be Doey but it was cooked to perfection all the way through and lightly crusted on the bottom and along the edges. I gave this Pizza, my first at Jon's Pizza 5 out of 5. With a two dollar tip this Pizza was $27.25 and in my humble opinion it was worth every cent. I'll be going back again to try the special next time! Great job for an awesome Pizza.

So I really think the reviews on here are stacked. Its likely staff and friends leaving them. We have heard all this chatter about this place and thought we would try it. Would I order again? Probably not. Its standard pizza- absolutely nothing special or unique. Sauce tastes like it may have come from a can... There is more cheese on it than your average take away pizza, but the other ingredients are regular quality if not a little bit below. It has an above average size thick crust, so its more filling than your other delivery places but it also sits like a rock in your tummy for a few hours after. At the cost of it ($23/12" pizza) I can honestly say that I prefer Panago, better crust, more options. Its a shame the new(er) management couldn't keep up to the old standards/reputation.

Cannot recommend more! Our team was having a pizza lunch and I just couldn't order from one of those cheap, gross pizza places for my team. We had ordered from Jon's before for our evening meetings that ran too late or month end but they have just recently started doing lunch... YAY!! I do a lot of catering with my job and I am glad to have an option when I am asked to order pizza. Our of our team of 40 very picky people NOT 1 PERSON complained. I can truly tell you that is a small miracle in my team. They all loved it and got rave reviews. I had a few people ask where we ordered from because it was the best pizza they ever had. First pick up experience: Those little potato bites and cheesy bread are soooo good. Pizza is excellent, tons of flavor and delicious crust. Loved it! Tried ordering for delivery as we had 3 families at our place, placed the order, waited for 20-30 minutes before someone started sending bizzare text messages that made no sense, finally they said they won't deliver to Walden. Great, thanks for waisting 30+ minutes Picked up an order for dinner last night, the girl on the phone really had a hard time with a half and half order for some reason. Got home, everything seemed overdone. Woke up in the middle of the night retching and feeling horrible stomach aches. Certainly won't be back again.

WOW!!!!The crust is amazing I think it's hand made. Topping's are more than generous. I have never felt full from 2 slices of pizza..... but I did from here! Top notch service, Ethan was great, not only took my order but cooked a perfect pizza. Don't even get me started on their chicken wings or their baked cookies! Amazing!!! For the value, this pizza place is outstanding a bit and I mean bit more than mainstream retail, however the price is very competitive, considering the pizza tastes much better. Best pizza I've had in a long time. Order here you won't regret it!

Order free m Jon’s always when we get pizza and usually it’s Awsome. Tonight however was not the sane. Small pizza was good but the large was way overcooked. Couldn’t begin to eat the crust which used to be the best. Very disappointed.

I just ordered for the first time, hearing it was the best pizza. Every ingredient for pizza states thick sauce. I barely had any sauce on the dry cardboard dough. No flavor at all. $50 for a large pizza and order of chicken wings. I opened up my soggy breaded chicken wings that were all stuck in a clump, had to cook them to crispen them. I'm so dissatisfied with my order and am out 50. I will stick to my ogden pizza for my gourmet pizzas. I will NEVER return to jons pizza again.

I've been a customer for over 20 years. Have always loved the freshness and the toppings. In 2012 I had to go gluten free. Tried a lot of pizzas but Jon's was always my favorite because the gluten free crust was crispy, held together and complimented the toppings. Recently they have changed their crust. It's still crispy but overpowers the toppings a little and has a bit of an after taste. It's still a great gf pizza and I'm going to keep returning even if I miss the old crust.

My husband LOVES this place. So I’ll give them 3 stars for that. I dont. Their meat toppings are basically just cold cuts which makes me uneasy because I don’t know what brand they are. Chicken? Cold cut. Bacon? Cold cut. I ordered a chicken taco pizza last time and got a beef taco pizza. I order my pizza thin crust, it comes out norma crust. Too much cheese. They have their niche market. Right now, I wish I’d put my restorante frozen pizza in the oven to enjoy myself. ‍♀️

My partner has been raving about Jon's Pizza and all its deliciousness. He only ever ordered from Jon's before I arrived on the scene in 2014 I was unable to get through on the phone to order. But now with Skip the Dishes/Uber Eats we have amazing online options giving me my first taste. Mediterranean tonight...from ordering to tracking Dinkar to arrival in record time...best we've had in 'forever'. Crust, sauce and toppings that make 2 pieces enough for this tummy...yummy!

Excellent service and food. Thank you for the excellent patience while we ordered through the phone and once we got to the store; the staff were all working hard, friendly, confident, calm and awesome.

Always loved Jons pizza, today was exceptional customer service. I work in a restaurant myself and understand pre orders are hard but Im always in a rush and today an order got delivered earlier than requested and i understand stuff happens but they reached out to me to apologize. I was totally fine as I know stuff happens but definitely happy with the customer service. Awesome pizza. Love the thick crust and the pizza sauce is amazing.

Great pizza. Been ordering there for 25+ years. BUT customer service not so much...recently tried to use Calgary Coop coupon and they made up rule on the spot about accepting it for take-out only. Frustrating as it had other stipulations noted in fine print, but definitely nothing about that. Seemed very misleading and cheap of them. With $35 pizzas I would think they could afford to honor their advertising?!?? Disappointed in them!!

Called in our order for pick up. When we arrived, the aroma wafting out, of this small but talented shop, was so mouth watering. Family was lucky I didn't eat it before arriving home. The crust was light and fluffy with a crisp edge. Had a Jon's Special. Meats were great, as they were not greasy. Veggies were fresh and still crispy. Cheese was bubbling hot with just the right amount of chewy and crisp. Looking forward to coming back.

Wow, I was Very Impressed with their Pizza. Definitely one of the best pizzas I've had in my life. Strongly Recommended. The cheese they use on their pizzas are not only plentiful but tastes amazing, I wish I knew where to buy this cheese. This is a locally owned family business, and you can tell they care about their product and customers. I really don't understand Calgary's obsession with chain restaurants.

Love johns pizza I eat here more than I would like to admit lol. The pizza is always amazing as well as some of thier hidden Jems like the potato bites or lasagna everything here is made to perfection. His caring as my boy walked into his place hungry and lost. The time he took to find out who I was and how to contact me all the way from Edmonton. Is pretty hit and miss. They messed up my order the last 2 times, and I gave them a third chance. This will be the last time I order from them. The picture shows my pepperoni with extra cheese. Very skimpy on toppings for the amount they charge to add. Sorry guys used to love your food but 3 strikes and your out.

I have lived in Calgary now for 16 years and I live super close to Jon's pizza, but for some reason have never had it until last night. I ordered the ham and pineapple pizza. One of the best pizzas I have had. Great toppings, the crust is so crunchy and flavorful and the sauce is super yummy. Highly recommend.

Cheaper than BP's and Papa John's, but don't mistake this for lack of quality! Their caesar salad is GODLY-the best I've ever had(and I have never had a bad pizza from this place), and the pepperoni pizza is COVERED with meat under the cheese! Perfect for parties, game nights, or anything! Simply the best pizza in all of Calgary, and for low prices! Can't recommend this place more!

Terrible experience. We ordered on Sunday night @5:30p and didn't receive our pizza until 7:15 (delivered by Jon's). When it showed up it was lukewarm and tasted as if it was a day old. The cheese was hard and the crust texture was stale (oh and both myself and wife ended up with a stomach ache a few hours later). As a matter of fact, I've tasted better pizza that was a day old.

The pizza was not bad. I'm kind of a pizza snob so might be a bit better than I am rating it. Wow GS were pretty good but when I called to ask if breaded they said no, and they were clearly breaded. Their "save the dishes page" wasn't working but they said it was and declined to offer the 10% discount even though we couldn't take advantage due to the page being "offline"

I lived in the neighborhood for over 20 years and it's nice having a neighborhood pizza place to go to. Yes, they are a little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Never had a bad experience so far. the cheese and toppings are way better and there's a lot more. And you can at least heat up the pizza the next day and it doesn't taste like the box it came in.

Its just ok pizza IMO. Ordered the keto crust meat lovers and regular crust Mediterranean. Keto crust was great. Mediterranean lacked the oozy cheese pull, and the next day reheated wasn't great. Keto reheated was yummy. (Only cheese is used for the keto crust) Prices are quite high as well. We'll stick to cheese crust when wanting pizza next time

Made an order for delivery and got a call back saying we were outside delivery zone. Being 8 minutes away from the store we offered to pay extra. When discussing the person rudely hung up instead of finishing the conversation. We had 3 families here hoping to enjoy Jon's pizza. Instead Jon's just lost business from 3 families who enjoy pizza.

We ordered the keto crust pizza. I wasn’t to sure what to expect. It was amazing!! We haven’t been able to order a take out pizza and eat the whole pizza(we’ve been eating toppings only). It was such a nice treat and we will order from Jons again. Thank you for the effort that goes into making these pizzas for the keto/low carb community!!

We had just moved into the neighborhood and the people who helped us all day were getting hangry. We thought hey you know what would keep them from social distancing themselves from our lives forever the best pizza in the new neighborhood. Jon's Pizza certainly did not disappoint! Great pizza, service , great wings and things.

Not my first time ordering but had to leave a review this time. Never disappointing. Delicious, consistent pizza from the very friendly staff every time! It’s hard to order from the other guys when these guys are so good. If you haven’t tried the wings, make sure do! Clean atmosphere and lots of parking if you’re picking up.

This is one of those places that you'll only find by talking to people that know good pizza. Kinda like the rules around vampires and Jon's is Dracula's castle; once you have it you're hooked. Garlic, however makes it better but holy water makes it soggy and pretty sure it has E.coli. l digress, Jon's is immortally good.

Had a less than satisfying experience at another pizza place tonight, left without even ordering (trust me, we wanted to) Heard great things about Jons, decided to give it a try... well, Jon’s pizza came in to save the night!! Ordered a keto pizza and it’s is legit THE BEST pizza I’ve had in a long time. Way to go guys!!

There is not enough great things I can say about this place. Their pizza is phenomenal, absolutely delicious! Customer service is also 5 star. I've been ordering pizza from here for over 15 years. The pizza's are more expensive than their competition, but the amount of toppings on the pizza make up for it completely. I usually get the meat lovers pizza and that one is stacked with meat. I'm full after only two slices. Try this place, you won't regret it.

Unreal pizza. Low carb option is fantastic! But getting a hold Of them is next level ridiculous. What kind of business has one line? Order online you might say? After friends recommended Jon's pizza, I finally tried it this past weekend. It was tasty and I'll surely be ordering from them again. It has a good crust to it, tasty pizza sauce, good amount of topping that isn't too heavy and is just cooked a bit longer to get the cheese nicely browned for some crunch.

I will always suggest Jon's pizza to everyone I know, one of my clients at work told me to try after I complained about not knowing a great pizza place, since than I haven't wanted to find another place, Jon's is perfect all their pizza are packed with ingredients and their avocado ranch sause is AMAZING

First time ordering from here and it was incredible. Ordered the cheese sticks and the Albertasaurus pizza. Well done is definitely the way to go for the Albertasaurus. Pizza had lots of toppings. Cheese sticks went really well with the marinara. Highly recommend this place for some good filling za!

As soon as I went in to order pizza I knew it was going to be great and it was!!!!!!! The staff were friendly and acknowledged me right away even though busy...and the pizza.... the pizza was worth the 30 min wait. The cheese is so YUM!! Hands down new go to place for me. I love pizza!!!

Mediocre at best. I'm not sure if it's just the wrong person that made the pizza the night we ordered, but pizza was a disspointment. The amount of dough/crust to cheese and sauce ratio was not right. It's like they ran out of sauce and cheese. Probably won't order from here again.

Tonight we tried our first pizza and wings from Jon's Pizza. Ordering was seamless, when I got there for pickup, everyone was friendly and courteous. This is one of the best pizzas I've had in a long time! We will definitely be ordering from here ANYTIME we want pizza from now.

Great sauce and nice ingredients on their pies. The crust is delicious, too. Although they are more costly than the competitors, one slice alone is quite filling and makes for some good leftovers. Jon's is a gem and definitely one of my favourite non-chain pizza places.

First time trying this place and won't be back. Unfortunate, way too overcooked and strangely the pizza was cut un even. There were larger slices and smaller slices. Beef and mushroom was not a good choice. Hawaiian was ok. There are so many pizza places to eat at.

We have been buying Jon's pizza for many years. The rise in prices over the pandemic it seems excessive. The toppings seemed to be less as well. I know that take out pizza has been going gangbusters over the last 3 months. Good pizza but feels kinda opportunistic.

Ordered this pizza on a friends recommendation. There was a mix up with the delivery driver, so the order took a bit of extra time. However, when the pizza came there was no charge for the trouble AND it was delivered by the owner! It's good PIZZA.

Fantastic pizza, I always get the Jon's Special. You have to appreciate the mom and pop places as they always give you more than the commercial franchise pizza places. You might pay a bit more at Jon's but its well worth it.

Local, fantastic pub-style pizza for take out. Tons of cheese baked on with good quality toppings and friendly family service. Deliver to most places in the south via Skip the Dishes. A little pricey but worth it!

Great Pizza and great staff. I ordered the Popeye’s pizza and BBQ Chicken. Really good combinations and the Pizza crust was so crispy. The toppings and slices are generous, great bang for your buck.

The pizza is just like the pizza we used to eat when we were kids. Lots of cheese and toppings to spare . Not at all like the chain restaurants. If you dont love this place then you dont like pizza

Wonderful staff, amazing food. Staff went above and beyond, and I can’t recommend this place more. I went with Keto crust and the pizzas were perfectly cooked and full of flavour, but not greasy.

We ordered some pizzas for our movers today. They said it was great! When I got there to pick up the pizzas the gentleman working was so kind and friendly. Jon’s, what a great new pizza find!

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza and it was ok. Nothing special to me, very light on the sauce could have used more. The cheese and toppings were good though. Prefer Ogden pizza and Tommy's.

Just had Jon's for the first time and oh man!! We got the keto crust pizza and they certainly have it down! 100% cheese crust worth every penny! Its by far the best ive had in the city

Pizza is pretty good. Marinara is on the sweeter side, which I like. I like how they have their own in-house delivery driver so the money goes to the restaurant and not a third party.

Jon's pizza is always consistently delicious. The price point is great, the staff and owner so friendly and of course really delicious pizza options. This is our families go-to spot.

My family and I have eaten pizza from here many times. The pizza is always served quickly and cooked to our liking. If you go in to pick it up the staff are friendly as well.

Pizza is really good but you can't ever get through to put an order in because they only have 1 phone line. I've had to order from somewhere else a few times for this reason

One of the best pizza places in Calgary. If you call and it’s busy keep trying it’s well worth the wait. The pizza is always very good and so is everything on the menu.

The old Jon's was AMAZING. I ordered it for the nostalgia as i grew up in Douglas dale and it is now greasy, deep dish (not the good kind). Change the recipe back!

Their pizza is great. If you don't order pick up, don't order. Delivery blows, whether they out source or not, they should be ashamed and held sccountable.

Tried the pizza for the first time. Really good. Could only eat 2 slices and my daughter one as it is a heavy version. Quality cheese and toppings.

Amazing pizza!! We just moved into the neighbourhood and picked up a pepperoni and a Mediterranean pizza and they were absolutely delicious!!!

If you liked to old Jon's you won't like this. The crust is cheap and different. Ordered 2 pizzas like we always do and very disappointed.
