I originally did not want to make this review but i am tire of being disappointed with their service. My visit to Dr. Czerkawski was on 3/16/2022 for stomach issues I was having. My visit with him was pleasant and he explained to me a plan of action for my stomach, but that plan never happened. As a matter of fact, I sat in the lobby for 25 minutes because I thought it was there that I was going to have my blood work done. It wasn’t until the Nurse who took my vitals, noticed I was still there and told me that they do not take blood samples there. So I go back to the receptionist who didn’t explain anything the first time around. She tells me that I can go to MD Anderson to have my blood draw, and gives me a slip of paper with their address. I had to ask her to have some patience with me and if she could explain where in MD Anderson do I go, and to whom do I have to speak to. She gave me the information and I went about my business. Two months go by and I receive no information of my blood work, and nothing concerning the referrals I was suppose to have to see a specialist. At this point I change PCP to Dr. Rafik and it took a month to see him. He wanted to do blood work but I explained that I had some already done and I contacted Dr. Czerkawsi’s office to fax them to Dr Rafik’s office, and it was never received. Also, not too long after that visit, I receive phone calls from the specialist I was suppose to see thru Dr. Czerkawsi!!… 3 MONTHS LATER… After figuring out the confusion, I’m seeing Dr. Rafik now, but I never received my blood work results. Actually, I need to correct myself, a few days after seeing Dr. Rafik, Dr. Czerkawski did call me himself to say that my blood work came back good. That’s it… no sort of explanation or insight of anything concerning concerning the test results. So today, 5 months later, I called and was finally explained that my test results are available thru their app portal. Apparently a letter was supposed to be mailed to me explaining this, but all I ever received was just my EOB. I hope anyone going through anything serious with their health finds a provider that will give you the treatment you need and not leave you wondering what to do next.

I absolutely love this practice & have been going here since I transferred here. Dr Joe actually listens to you & that I can appreciate. They are always on time, very punctual, friendly & will call you back. I would not even think of going to another practice. Excellent practice! NOTE: My comment below has nothing to do with Dr Joe, it is an observation about the hospital: BAPTIST HOSPITAL: This comment has nothing to do with the family practice above, but I think it is worth mentioning because I couldn’t believe it happened. After my appt I had blood work. You have to register before going to the lab. The hospital has 4 windows to register, but they had only 1 person that day. There was a lady sitting there being helped & 6 people in line waiting to register. I got in line & stood there 20 minutes & the line didn’t move. I can not stand that long & there was no place to seat; therefore I left. It has never taken me 20 minutes to register, not sure why this lady took so long. But the bigger problem is why was there only 1 person working in registration as large as Baptist is? This is a major problem that should never happen again.

I called the office at 12:30 - the answering machine said that the office is closed and will reopen at 8 a.m.. I called the answering service to inquire why they were closed & she informed me that they'll be back after lunch, around 1:00, and that this is the standard recording for all Baptist Offices. Instead of saying "well be back after lunch" it states simply "we're closed." When they are in the office, you have to let phone ring & ring, finally pick up & put you on hold for 15 min. I've called Baptist & complained, so I don't know if they fixed this; I went to another doctor, so that's that. How does this doctor actually book appointments if you can never get through to the office!. Baptist health can't afford to hire more people to answer the phone?! That's egregious.

Recently moved from Boston to Jacksonville. Living with a chronic illness I was very nervous to switch from my previous Dr back up north, with whom I've established a good relationship as well as a treatment plan that after 7 years, finally worked for me. I was very nervous to see someone new, but Dr Joe was so friendly, truly listened, and was familiar with my chronic illness and made me feel so comfortable and he was so supportive and I felt like he really listened to me. I'm very happy to have found a physician in my new hometown, that makes me feel comfortable. Just like almost everyone I've met in the south. Thank you Dr Joe!

Dr Joe is so easy to talk with. He's become like a family member. He knows our history and treats us accordingly, the care is extremely personalized and he does everything he can to help you solve the problem. Even coming up with new medications such as when I had to be on narcotics prior to back surgery I had a terrible time with constipation. Nobody seemed to know what to do. He came up with a drug that solved the problem --Movantik! He keeps up with all the new things!

I have been coming to see Dr. Joe and his staff for decades. Not only does he really take time to get to know you, but he speaks to you as if you were family and not just a patient. His staff is also very kind and follows up with your treatment plans and any concerns that you may have. Dr Joe and his staff always let you know that they are just a phone call away if you ever need anything or need to reschedule an appointment.

Dr. Joe is amazing! Simply the best doctor in all of Florida I know this because I’ve been seeing him for 10 years now and even though I have lived in South Florida for 2 years I still come to get my checkups from him whenever I am back in Jacksonville visiting my family. He has excellent bedside manner, always listens thoroughly to my concerns and formulates strategic plans of action to make my life healthier.

Everything in the office is clean. The front receptionists are very nice & pleasant to interact with. Dr. Joseph Czerkowski has been my primary doctor for 18 years. His is "very" professional. He is extremely knowledgeable in his field of practice. He has worked relentlessly to resolve whatever medical issues I've had over the years. He listens to and really cares about his patients. Could not ask for a more Understanding, Caring , and extremely intelligent PCP. Dr. Joe also surrounds himself with great colleagues as well when recommendations are needed. Could not have a better PCP than Dr. Joe !! And, Penny, his assistant, is always 10 steps ahead of everyone, and that is so wonderful when you lead an extremely busy life.

Dr. Traveria takes his time and listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed. My issues were addressed, and I always believe that he hears me. Yesterday was a much longer than usual wait time, however. I was in the office until after 2:00 for an 11:30 appt, but I did not arrive until 11:40, so part of the delay may be my fault for being late.

Dr. Czerkawski is wonderful he is so personable and patient with my mother. she has been seeing him for about five years. He provides excellent care and he is always showing concern when she sees him. There are very few doctors that show care and concern for the elderly in this day and time. I am truly grateful that he is my mother's Doctor.

Dr Joe is an amazing Dr. He is very personable. Dr Joe Always listens to our concerns and takes measures to get our health concerns Addressed I would highly recommend Dr Joe for all your Internal Medicine Needs ❤️ My husband and myself see him he is very knowledgeable and has a wonderful referral system for any of your health concerns.

Dr. Joe is a great guy and even greater doctor. He’s very knowledgeable and follows up to make sure treatment is working. Although he is an Internist, he does specialize in sports medicine. He’s helped me with my back after suffering an auto accident. Knowing the mechanics of the skeletal system is a great asset.

I was impressed by how quickly I was able to get an appointment. Although not urgent, I was happy to be able to come in about a week after contacting 202-4YOU. As for Dr. Joe, I am very pleased. Although I hope I need not utilize his services in the future, should I need to, I know I'll be in good hands.

My husband and I went to Dr. Joe today for the first time. We have been seeing our previous doctor for 27 years and he recently retired. We were referred to Dr. Joe and we couldn’t be happier with Dr. Joe and his warm, friendly, helpful staff. And we will gladly drive from St. Augustine to see Dr. Joe.

Doctor Joe is aces in my books! Never missed a beat, especially in prompt replies to every test result coming from an equally awesome Baptist Cancer Center and his expertise put my mind at ease knowing he left no stone unturned in diagnosing my problems.

Very organized, friendly and up to date with patient care from check in to check out. I feel confident and comfortable with Dr. Czerkawski's assessment and recommendations. Have already been contacted by Baptist with call back number for a referral.

He's the best Doctor I've ever met, concern of health issue yes, the Staff that work with him yes beautiful persons each one, they answer my question very details, I process slow mental so what it means they are very good to answer any question

I’m a patient of Dr Rosemund’s - but when I hurt my knee I asked to see Dr. Joe. He treated my husband years before with an injury and I knew of his specialty. He was correct in my diagnosis and treatment. He is patient & kind.

Easy to get to by car or public transit. Office staff is always nice, caring, willing to help and work the problem out with you if need. The Doctors really listen to you and do whatever possible to help. I love this office.

My first visit to Dr. Joe was excellent. He was the first doctor, (MAYO, St. Vincents, Flagler, Memorial) to actually listen to me. If any of the others had listened to what I said, I wouldn't need to see Dr. Czerkawski.
