Very nice park on the Hillsborough River. Not a whole lot of parking but I guess enough they have a small dog park. That's very nice. All synthetic turf so your dog doesn't get a bunch of dirt on it. End up being a dirty dog. Didn't see any kind of dog washing station. That'd be kind of nice to have cuz then you can clean your dog even though he didn't get dirty cuz he's probably dirty when he already showed up. But other than that basketball courts, you know the pretty typical playground area. It's all on the river. Great views of downtown Tampa. Lots of room to run around and spread out. I mean if you're in the area you need to go to a park. I would say this is a decent park or the worth your time to come check out. Maybe not the best part of town on one side, but then the other side's pretty schnootsy so pretty sure you'll be okay. I mean it's nice I'd go there. Oh wait, I already went there. It was nice

This park looks beautiful, but was a huge disappointment... You can tell it was probably designed by an architect who didn't actually think of a dog. The fake turf gets extremely hot and burned my dog's paws so he couldn't run on it, back in May. And the fencing that they put up, the lowest horizontal bar is not low enough to prevent tennis balls from rolling thru and outside of the park. The water features are interesting, but again I'm sure the water coming out is searing hot and the concrete is probably extremely hot as well. What this place needs is a few dozen of those sun sail shades... And point the thing towards the water so people get views of the water! There's a beautiful river like 15 ft away and you can barely see it with all the landscaping in the way. Just very bad design and disappointing all the way around, And I'm sure it cost us taxpayers a loooooot of money. Will not be going back.

Was one of the 1st ppl to add photos of dog areas. The park is great. If you are looking to use the dog play areas & you have a small dog, good luck to you! The small dog area always has large over 40lbs, & over 3ft tall dogs in it, dogs suitable for the large dog side!! My 6lb, less than a foot tall counting head, NEVER gets to use the small dog side. The large dog side is always maxed out with dogs also. Maybe they should've made several dog sections so all dogs could visit & play. Another note better drainage needed, the small dog side is a swimming area after rains, everything including large dog side and up drains, to small dog side, then overflows to River. Great IF one can ever catch small dog side empty, or with small dogs in it only, & on dry days!

Thank you to the City Of Tampa and former Mayor Buckhorn for creating this absolutely state of the art , amazing public park..the BEST park public park I have ever seen. Water park, boat docks, canoe launch, kayak launch, multiple large powered shelters, insect control, faux turf large AND small dog parks, multiple lighted basketball and tennis, and pickle ball courts, ample parking, city high schools crew house and launch, sprawling concourse, football/soccer field, kids play areas. Etc. Etc.

Good dog park! There’s separate areas for large and small dogs. Decent amount of seats/shaded area. Pups love the fountain to cool off on the hot days and synthetic turf is great so they don’t get dirty/muddy. Unfortunately, for some reason I feel like many of the humans here are always on their phones and not watching their dogs and picking up poop. My partner and I spend a lot of our time walking around picking up after other dogs. If your dog is one of the rare poop eaters, watch out

Great park in regards to the actual park, but parking is terrible, most of the cars there aren't people at the dog park even though it says "dog park parking" so nowhere to park and they've started giving out tickets so be careful parking on street. People tend to not clean up after their dogs but that's everywhere, the staff come every night to lock up and take the trash out and clean like once a week I think.

This place is so amazing beautiful park. But as far as parking in the handicap parking space people that doesn't have a permit for handicap parking don't respect that not does the police as it States on the sign $250 if caught? But Tampa police don't enforce that but everything else was great they got basketball court dog park kids play ground water park and more awesome place to bring the family

Nice little dog park here. Two separated sides, one for small breeds and the other for larger dogs. Both are on artificial turf with small trees, an obstacle course, and a splash pad. The small dog park is right by the river, so nice view of passing boats. You meet some some nice dogs/dog owners there and have some good conversations...with both the dogs and people apparently.

Honestly the best dog park I’ve ever been too. It has a splash pad and good amount of shade! Great for the dogs to cool off/down. Dogs there are also well behaved and fun. Never seen a dog fight there. Whoever maintains the dog parks do very well! Clean! But I do wish dog owners would pick up after their dog. I noticed lots of poop. Some owners just don’t pay attention.

Close, free parking that was ample while I was there. Water feature you turn on yourself, newer artificial turf. It got too crowded and we left after about 20 minutes. I wish this park was a little bigger, but I appreciate how they used the space they could to develop this park. I would go back, but only if not crowded so as to be able to socially distance.

This is a nice olace for dogs the parking situation is horrible is too small and is not exclusive for dog park users, when you want to park next door in the big lot is usually reserved for events even though is huge, they need to stop reserving the parking lot. No even has ever completely filled up the lot and the dog park users can definitely use it.

Fantastic water park across from Julian B. Lane, tucked in next to the river. There are separate parks for big dogs and small dogs! There are big wooden ramps and blocks to climb on and water features. It's a pretty busy park that is kept clean and nice. Definitely a fun place for your furestie to play and make friends!

This has become my favorite park in tampa. The views of downtown are truly the best. The walk to the straz or armature is not far. There are tennis, pickle ball, and basketball courts, a football field, along with two dog parks and multiple children's playgrounds. The river center is a great place to check out as well!

Was a beautiful day and didn't expect to run into such a cool place since our little was along. Cut tree trunk lengths to jump over and walk across and good for an athlete in training as well. Several tennis balls left in there; very secure tight fencing. Areas for large and small. Will go back!

The best dog park in Tampa! The people are friendly and pay attention to their dogs, which limits any scuffles between pups. Its the perfect size in my opion. Turf keeps the dogs from getting dirty and the fountains are so much fun for the doggies, especially in the Tampa summer heat!

It's nice that there is no dirt here. Nice artificial turf and trees for shade. Plus the water fountains are nice for dog play and cooling off. Just wish all the dog owners would pick up after their dogs. I went around and scooped up 5 dog poo piles.

Cute little dog park. Absolutely love the astroturfing and the paw shaped fountain for the dogs. Very small park - no poop bags when I arrived with my dogs. Had to ask people for bags as well as other people were asking for bags. Man there

It is a great area to bring the dogs to exercise and socialize. There is enough seating with most being covered to escape from the sun. There is water and poop bags for the dogs. This is one of the great reasons to live in or near downtown.

Cool dogpark, but a bit small. There is a separate large/small area. The best feature of the park is the water fountain area for the dogs to play in. Water shoots up from the concreate pad and dogs love it.... or hate it.

It’s the only park in the area that has small dog, separated from the big dog park, which is a very good idea. It’s always clean and nice, the city worker are clean every evening. Wry nice location

The park overall is a gem. 5 stars for sure. One of the great amenities is the Dog Park. Two areas to help group the furbabies, and plenty of space and places for the hoomans to sit and lounge.

Great place with alot of activities to do. The environment of the Park brings many type of ppl with a fun environment. I go and play basketball but there are so much more you can do there.

Great park and events. However parking is a bear. So we just go ahead and pay to park. I'm OK with that when we use the church parking areas if I can't find curbside parking.

Cute and clean little dog park. They have a spot for the big dogs and the smaller dogs. Fake grass so there isn’t any holes and there are always doggy bags available.

Awesome small park! Lots of dogs. Very clean with shade, tables, chairs and umbrellas. The splash pad is little but my dogs loved it and were tired out!
