I've been going to Dr. Goodell's office for 3 years. When I told her my husband and I had been trying to conceive for 10 years, she said I'd need to see a fertility specialist. During our conversation, it came up that if I were to get pregnant, I'd choose to be seen and delivered by a MFM (since I'd be high risk) like my sister had been. She got very defensive and told me the MFM shouldn't have delivered my sister's baby, he should've sent her back to her OB. Fast forward 3 years and I am finally pregnant and was told by my clinic that I need to schedule with a high risk doctor (MFM). I called and was scheduled to be seen at 12 weeks by the MFM I had chosen and received a referral from my IVF doctor. Over 2 weeks later, I called Goodell's office to cancel an annual exam and told them I'm pregnant. I was asked who I'm seeing and I explained that I am under the care of my IVF doctor and then will be transferred to the MFM. I was asked what the MFM's name is so I told the girl. Shortly after the call ended, I received a call from the office of the MFM stating that Goodell called him and said that I should be under her care and she should be delivering my baby so he instructed his office administrator to cancel my appointment. I was told I would be required to see Goodell for a referral but then I would still only see Goodell and she would deliver my baby. I told them I'd never seen Goodell for my pregnancy and did not want to see her since she is not a high risk doctor. I was told there was nothing they could do and as a result of what was said by Goodell, I could no longer be seen without the referral but once received, the MFM would only be able to "co-manage" my care but it would be up to Goodell to send me to the high risk doctor if SHE felt it was necessary. I called Goodell's office and was told that there was a misunderstanding and the MFM's office shouldn't have gotten me upset. I asked why Goodell would have gone behind my back to call my MFM and they said it's because "high risk doctors only deliver babies if you're high risk" (however this doctor and a doctors at this practice deliver babies and Goodell knows that). The office told me they didn't know what was said since they weren't on the call but they knew she didn't say what I was told she said. Nobody could give me any answers that made sense. I told Goodell's office I'd never be coming back so they said they'd call the MFM. Finally, only because I stood my ground, I was able to get my appointment back with the MFM. All of this could've been avoided if she didn't go behind my back and call my other doctor with some sort of threat. I told her staff I'd appreciate an apology from Goodell since she caused all of this undue stress. Instead of an apology, I received a letter stating since I've chosen to see another doctor, I've been dismissed of her care.

Recent review: I finally got to meet Dr. Goodell at my 20 week appt. This was my big anatomy scan that I had been waiting for. The front desk employee informs me my ultrasound has been cancelled because I was late. I look down at my phone and I am 8 MINUTES LATE. She explains there is a grace period (which not one person informed me of) and that I will have to reschedule. I took a half day off at work and move slightly slower cause you know I’M PREGNANT. Something I would think they would keep in mind dealing with pregnant women daily. I begged if we could still have the appt and she went to talk to Dr. Goodell then came back with a simple no. I naturally get upset with my raging hormones and excuse myself to the bathroom. Fast forward to finally meeting Dr. Goodell because I still had my one on one with her (and waited a good 20 min for). She comes in doesn’t introduce herself and just asks if I have had any kicks. I am still calming myself down at this point and explain how I took off work and was really upset with not seeing the baby as well as how the front of staff handled the situation. Her response: “well my staff told me you were cussing and yelling in the lobby which is not allowed in my practice, and will believe my staff I have had for many years.” I’m in shock because this wasn’t the case at all and she spoke to me as if I was child and then dismisses the situation to go over my chart. I was so disappointed because I have heard so many great things about her, but felt so uncomfortable and disregarded that I didn’t want to go through my whole pregnancy with a doctor who made me feel this way. I switched to My OBGYN upstairs and feel so much better about my decision. MOTHERS you have to advocate for yourself and doctors should not make you feel this way especially during a very vulnerable time in your life. I really hope she doesn’t make another expecting mother feel this way and should probably look into retiring because she seems checked out. Older review: I have been a patient for almost 2 years now and since them changing their location down the hall I cannot say better things about this OBGYN. I have yet to have Dr. Goodell be my doctor because of scheduling. I have had Jasmine Davis, APRN who is literally the BEST! I felt heard for once, she is so nice, gently and down to earth. Her knowledge on questions I had about my body helped me tremendously. Also Bri is amazing! She always greets me like we have known each other for years! We had a mix up recently with my billing and appointment and she helped me through it so I could get exactly what I came in for. It is nice to find a OBGYN that listens and fulfills your best interest.

Terrible, personally being 16 and pregnant and asking for specific help with depression, anxiety, STDs, and much more I was denied. Those are the select few personal reasons I am never being seen again by this woman. For how much I was poked and prodded, getting checked by unfamiliar nurses or whoever was in the hallway I know nothing about mine or my unborn childs health. I was tested for gestational diabetes and I was never told if I had it or not. I was prescribed medication just to find out at the pharmacy that my prescription had been "pulled" by Goodell all because I told her I am no longer interested in her services. All that shows is that her ego by far outweighs the importance of her practice. Waiting 30 minutes in the lobby then another 45 in a room just to see her for approximately 3 minutes, and make me feel like I'm wasting her time I was baffled. My mother or partner were not welcomed to come with me into the back, I had many questions and so did soon to be Dad and Grandma (as they should). I also while waiting heard her making small talk with another patient about past visits, baby names, and her day, she struggled to remember or say my name when she spoke with me for that short amount of time after I repeatedly told her how to pronounce it. I dont know what I did to make her not like me or whatever but either way it is her job to let me know what's going on so I can properly move on and get actual help. Rather than receiving my consequences for offending her, like not receiving test results and getting prescribed medications that I need "pulled". I didn't want to make it a big deal with my mother or boyfriend that I'm depressed, so I went in there and I saw the posters on the wall saying they offer different types of help for those types of things. When I asked for help she told me "oh that wont hurt the baby" she might be right I'm not sure but I know its hurting me and i needed help. Thanks for reading if you did and I hope noone else makes the mistake of choosing Julie Goodell as their OBGYN.

I was forced to leave this practice because I could not attend the monthly group appointment. After my 12 week appointment, I was told that my next 7-8 visits were going to be in a group setting. The office determines what day and time you need to attend. They are also about 1.5 hour long appointments. When I told them I wouldn't be able to attend all the 1pm appointments due to my work schedule, they told me to look for care else where. They didn't care to work with me at all. I left crying and now have to seek new care at 15 weeks. They didn't apologize at all. I wasn't even aware group appointments were a thing at this practice. Dr. Goodell delivered my first baby in 2020 and didn't have any issues. There were no group appointments then either. That is why I returned for care with this pregnancy. I was told "Dr. Goodell believes this is best for her patients" but it really isn't. I believe group appointments are mandatory because she is overwhelmed with patients and wants to see more people at once. Why else would she force mandatory group appointments? It's probably for the best I leave this practice because honestly, I would not want to discuss my medical history in a group setting. If you work a M-F, 9 to 5 job, this place isn't for you. They will not work with your schedule and will not care one bit if you can't make their mandatory prescheduled appointments.

Definitely the worst practice I ever been to im 32 weeks and tried to make an appointment but they had these mandatory group appointments which I missed and I let them know that it would be hard for me to get there, but they refused to give me any other day because it Has to be a group appointment. I agreed to the appointment because I needed it for my baby got to the appointment didn’t have my ID because I wasn’t told I needed it and they rescheduled me. Got there the second time but because I was five minutes. They rescheduled me. I agreed because like I said, I needed to. Take care of my baby seeing how I have other kids at home and have to wait for someone to get home so I can go to my appointment. My boyfriend was running a little late when I got there I tried to explain to them what had happened they did not care. Staff was so rude rescheduled me and that morning before my appointment they called and told me I was dropped from the practice because of the Two appointments. How ridiculous is that Goodell could care less about how far along I was or how hard it would be for me to find another doctor. This is the worst practice to ever come to because no one cares about you or your child. Please find somewhere else to go it is not for you.

I will not be going back to this obgyn office. The front staff was fine. It was once I get to the back & the Dr comes in.(which BTW wasn't even my Dr, mine is out until June) from the very beginning seemed like she didn't want to deal with me . She thought I was only coming in for birth control when I made it very clear I wanted to talk about other concerns as well as it was supposed to be my yearly exam . The Dr extremely lacked empathy, didn't want to hear me talk about my concerns, I was constantly cut off & made to feel she just wanted to hurry up & get me out & that she had other patients & I was wasting her time with my appointment.. I felt extremely uncomfortable & didn't want to undress & ask for advice from someone that was making me feel like I was wasting her time for coming in & expecting her to help me & do her job.I felt so uncomfortable I walked out.i was there maybe 20 minutes. I wouldn't recommend her to friends or family & I will not go back even when my regular Dr is back. Never again...

I went to the Centennial Hills WHASN for my first 3 appointment of my pregnancy. I had to switch due to Dr. Goodell not delivering at an HCA hospital and I was very sad to go. Everyone was very lovely to me at the office. I was very very sick and scared and they got me in for extra appointments to check on my babies(twins). The women I spoke to on the phone to make that appointment was very caring. I saw APRN Kristin Davidson the first 2 times and she made me feel so taken care of and put me at ease with helping me manage my symptoms. On my last visit I finally met Dr. Goodell, I told her I needed to switch providers and I told her I wanted to attempt to VBAC my twins. She immediately called a doctor who she knew would do this and printed my records to take to him. This was a huge deal for me and I appreciate her so much for that. I was really very impressed with her whole demeanor and will most likely switch back to her after the birth of my twins for my annual appointments.

Not happy with the service at all. First of all she always had me waiting in the room at least 20 minutes while I could hear her talking to the staff about personal stuff outside. My blood sample never got sent to the lab while I waited on the results of my first trimester screening. I finally had to call and find out why I didn’t get a call back. My test results got mixed up with someone else’s, she made it seem like it was no big deal that it happened, it matters when you are worried about the results and are anxious about what’s going on with your pregnancy! She never spent more than a couple of minutes with me and always felt like she didn’t really care. The last straw was when I showed up for a screening and was told she was no longer at this location. No warning no notice I’m 3 months away from delivery and she doesn’t have enough respect for her patients to notify them! I’m so disappointed with the service I received and would not recommend her at all.

I’ve never had a problem my whole pregnancy with Dr. Goodell she’s been great up until I came in for my 29 week appointment and waited two hours just to go back for a 5 minute check up. On top of it I’m now 9 weeks away from my due date and she’s moved locations. I wasn’t even told personally by staff I had to find out by another patient while waiting in the waiting room. So, I either drive farther or stick with her old staff at WHASN which I’d rather not do concidering how rude they are and how long the wait always is. I had decided to go ahead and I’ll drive to her new location, but I have called for 3 days now and left voicemails because I won’t be able to make my appointment coming up and nobody will answer. Sucks that I’m so close to my due date and have to find a new doctor!

  • Lupita Gonzalez

Very poor service. I scheduled my appointment 3 weeks ago. I was instructed to arrive 30 minutes earlier with the purpose of filling out some paperwork. My appointment was at 9:30 and I got there at 8:57 or so. After finishing filling out the forms I waited for half an hour and since they didn't call my name or anything I got up and asked the receptionist how much longer and she was very rude and said she would not know and asked me if I wanted to reschedule!!!?? That is WHY I made my appointment 3 weeks ago!!!!! Finally they called me in and have me waiting in the room for about 40 minutes, when Doctor Goodell Finally cames in she was asking me the wrong questions!!! Obviously she got my information mixed

Dr. Julie Goodell is a fantastic physician. She is extremely clinically competent and was recommended to be by 2 separate local OBGyn physicians. I had a scheduled c-section and all of the hospital staff (nurses, anesthesia, etc) only had great things to say about her. As a physician myself, I know how important this is. Many of the negative comments on the internet have nothing to do with her competency as a physician. Yes, she sometimes runs behind but that is because she delivers her patients and deliveries/complications can happen at any time of the day. If you want an OB who is caring and competent, look no further than Dr. Goodell.

  • Loimata C-W

Dr. Goodell is extremely knowledgeable and provides top notch care. In addition to the health care she provides, her team of nurses and herself host a group setting class with groups of parents around the same due date. They educate parents in what to expect during pregnancy while sharing their own experiences and opening the floor for parents to voice what they may be going through and to ask any questions. This class has helped us throughout our pregnancy journey. I'm so happy to have an awesome doctor.

  • Sara Kelly

My first visit went great. Second visit was terrible. I waited an hour to be seen. I questioned Dr. Goodell about pain & hair loss. After an hour of waiting, I was told by her nurse aka Dr. Goodell's mom that hair loss and pain are normal for aging and to deal with it. Being cramped in a tiny exam room with mother and daughter nurse/dr team is weird in itself. 2 stars only for friendly front office and lab staff. Severe lack of empathy and cramped quarters are a no-go for me.

  • Miriam Borvick

Dr. Goodell delivered my second baby. I had a great experience with Dr. Goodell for my pregnancy and labor and delivery. She was very kind and attentive. She took the time to thoroughly answer my questions and really went above and beyond to provide resources to support me during pregnancy and postpartum. I was so surprised at how she made the delivery room feel like such a calm environment. I didn't think giving birth could be a relaxing experience! Thank you, Dr. Goodell!

  • Brittany Hudspeth

Julie Goodell and her staff made my pregnancy experience the best it could be. On my first appointment, I was offered to do monthly OB visits in a group setting with other pregnant women due the same month as me. I was hesitant at first, but am pleased I did it. Over the months, I grew to look forward to every appointment and to see the other women. I would love to recognize Jasmine, the nurse who lead the classes. Thank you Jasmine for all of the care and knowledge!!

  • VegasLeolady

I’ve been here over 2 1/2 hours my appointment was at 9:30 am . I was told to come back at 10:30 which I did its now 12:00 pm and I’m the last one in the office . I’ve seen people come in and go out and I’m still here . There closed between 12-1 pm for lunch. I can’t believe this . This is my first and my last appointment with this office . Empty except for me a referral from a friend to come here . BEWARE please read this office’s reviews I had the chance to .

  • Paulette Jones

Worst place ever don’t come to her at all they don’t care about you or what your going through was having pains and feeling overwhelmed at 31 weeks they refused to allow me to set a appointment because of two missed appointment which I showed up to both but each time was something crazy no ID and your 5 minutes late like it don’t take time to get up the elevator or walk around at 31 weeks staff is rude and Goodell could care less this has been so upsetting

  • Kaylyn Atkinson

Dr Goodell, It's been almost two years since you were called into emergency surgery and saved my life. In that time I've gotten to love my husband, watch my children grow, and finish my BSN. I'm now a RN and I plan on spending this borrowed time by saving lives, like you did for me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I wish I could give you a million stars for a perfect 5.0 on Google reviews because you deserve them Kaylyn Eiland

  • Billie Bam

Waited an hour and a half for a procedure. Vitals taken after that then waited in the room for another 15 mins while I heard Dr Goodell conversing with her staff. She comes in the room and I expressed to her that I had waited way to long and her response to me was. If my biopsy came back non cancerous I wouldn’t have to see her again. Wow really?... No apology just continued to provoke me until I left. I gave them one star because there is no Zero..

  • Vivien Ross

Had the worst experience I’ve ever had with a physician. I went in because I had irregular period problems; problems I’ve had since I was 16. I changed ogbyn because this one was a lot closer to me. Long story short, she dismissed my concerns blaming it on my weight (I’ve had these problems at my current weight and when I was only 115lbs), gave me a list of weight loss books, and told me there was nothing else she could do for me.

  • V V

If you're looking for a doctor who will listen to you about your issues, take your health into account, and overall allow you to be heard without being given the runaround or excuses (THE BASICS), Julie Goodell is not the healthcare provider for you. My entire appointment was circled around her rather than me and my health. I can only hope I save someone some time by encouraging you to look else where.

  • Nicole Gray

I am approaching my 7 months of pregnancy and I am very happy with Dr. Goodell. She is funny, calming and listens very well. She provides the reassurance that is needed. I seen her back in 2013 for my annual check up so when I found out I was preggo, she was the first to come to mind no doubt.

  • Lisa_mountainbiking50states

Waited for an hour to be seen, made the appointment weeks ago. I watched dozens of others before and after me go back to see the Dr. I wasn’t given any explanation, just rudely ignored. So I left without being seen, won’t be back. Was greeted when I first got there by a very nice lady tho.

  • Rebecca Glover

Love this practice! All the staff is so warm and friendly. They don’t make you feel like a number and truly listen to your concerns. Much better experience than the last practice I came from. Happy to have this team take care of me on my second pregnancy and into the future. <3

  • Jo Jo

1 star is for the girl in the checkout. She is not friendly at all and does not have good customer service. She won’t acknowledge what you said if she didn’t like it. Pretends that she didn’t hear what you said. I told her that I can’t come

  • Randy V

Made the appointment 3 weeks ago. They called and cancelled as we were on the way to the app. Very inconsiderate as we both had to rearrange our schedules to attend the appointment. Not a good way to start our pregnancy journey. May find

  • Theresa Lucero

What a breath of fresh air! Friendly, efficient staff. Dr. Goodell actually listened to me and answered my questions like a doctor should. I felt as though Dr. Goodell was genuinely concerned for my wellbeing, and she was very gentle.

  • Pam Dingée

I wish I would have had her as my Provider when I was having babies lol! She gave me a second opinion on a procedure another doctor kept making me wait for, then deciding to try something else, then didn’t think it was necessary. Dr.

  • Passion Willis

I will give 3 stars because I never seen this doctor and by the reviews good and bad I have decided not to make my appointment with her. Just leaving without notice to your patients is a big NO NO for me. I understand maybe having to

  • Bradi (Half Pint Entertainment)

Dr. Goodell is great. Knowledgeable & great bed side manner,. He new office has been fantastic so far. Had to wait a bit a to make an appointment, but other than that, so far so good! SO Happy she left the office from hell!

  • Tara Mikhael

Please stay away from this doctor. I called her seeking for help since she is my OB from day one of my pregnancy and she refused to help me she told me to go see another doctor or go to the ER.
