Last year experience. The criminal division reminded me of an episode from Parks & Recreation. Clerks at the counter obviously hate their job and I can see the reason. A man who calls himself the manager of the 'place' interrupt the girls to spend literally '30 mins' talking about non-sense while we watch from the other side of the glass. He also is extremely ageist and assume other white people don't speak Spanish. It was disgusting to listen to him make fun of the 'old ppl' who works there. A cabbage patch has more personality than that Eddie. There's also a short lady, who raises her voice and talk to the public in a condescending and her SPANISH is from wish. There is another staff who is insufferable, she was short with my elderly mom over the phone a couple of times and she made fun of every single co-worker in the 40 mins I was at that facility. Over the phone she called herself Kim Busy whatever. Judge Slagle, that's not you because my family knows you and your parents personally for years. Why is your staff so miserable? I work a government job and can say for a fact that not all courts are a circus. Please, they can do better!
I went for a citation I recived and maybe it was to early for this one staff Laura for me to be there and smiling I gave them my information and they couldn't find me so I said ok let me go back to my car get the information for you ,came back and security was waiting on me . I'm like what did I do wrong she goes they feel like its a situation with you up stairs are you ok I'm like yes. I went to go get my information and im getting the third degree she like i was just making sure you can go back up stairs.I would like your name when I get back down stairs. Go up stairs asking what the issue was she goes I called to make sure u was coming back that doesn't make since maam I didn't do anything wrong for security to stop me down stairs the way they did. Feeling racially profile at this point or maybe she hates people being happy she thought I was an issue . All of them had a sour face on them I can see why maybe cause I made the others smile she wants the work place to be unpleasant when she's there that's how I disrupt her day. Other than that I did nothing wrong but walked in with a smile .
I choose to believe the judge has no clue how his staff behaves. The front counter staff appears to be trained by an Oompa Loompa lady who seems to drink vinegar for breakfast. She doesn't allow others to speak and raises her voice to intimidate others, which is disrespectful and shows a lack of proper communication skills. It's also impossible not to hear their sarcastic comments about us behind the counter. I was waiting with my wife to have a ticket dismissed and listened to a man making fun of elders and his co-workers (he is older than me lol). Later, the same puffed-up man showed up at the counter as the 'court manager,' had yet to learn about what we were talking, sounded so dense, and tried to diverge our legitimate questions by repeating the word 'jurisdiction' and 'judge discretion.' I've considered educating him on the five-member county commissioners' court, but he's Michael Scott of Travis County. Those are the people representing Judge Slage.
I worked with a wonderful clerk named Norma. Thank you for taking the time, showing the courtesy and helping me to file the proper paperwork for my court case. I wish you could be cloned as the epitome of customer service for legal matters. You were patient and Judge Slagle is blessed to have your supportive spirit as an employee. Thank you again and best wishes to you and your family.
Judge Slagle is an incredible mediator and runs a well rounded court. He is professional and courteous and insures he has all sides before coming to a decision. This has gone against me before, but you have to respect it. They make everything simple and are responsive to all my inquiries. I can not say the same about the other courts in Travis and Williamson County.
My husband and I were married by Judge Slagle last week and the whole experience was perfect. Everyone who works here was friendly and helpful, the ceremony they provide is beautifully worded and Judge Slagle is just a lovely human being. Huge thank you to his assistant, who took photos for us during the ceremony.
I truly love and enjoyed working with the staff at JP2. Judge Slagle is compassionate to the needs of the families that come through his court but, makes the expectations clear. Although court is not an ideal place anyone would want to be in but, Judge Slagle and his staff makes it less ominous.
I had stuff stolen from me and they said to file a claim costs over a 100 dollars. That's more than I lost. Why should I pay when I'm the victim? They said it could be free if I could prove I'm poor but I don't see how I'm supposed to do that. Ridiculous.
It was such a nice, easygoing, and unique civil wedding ceremony that was made official by Judge Randall Slagle. His lightheartedness and warm words made it that much more worthwhile. Thank you for holding this service. ️ …
Waited in line for 40 mins for turn to hand me papers to fill out and tell me that they’re closing. Not sure why I wasn’t handed papers to fill out for my duration I was there hours aren’t the best
Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. I had no idea what I was doing and although they can't give legal advice they were very helpful and respectful
