"Knosis is hands-down THE BEST PT PLACE EVER"
I almost don’t know where to start about my experience with Knosis Wellness. But I guess the beginning is best: I started coming to Knosis and seeing Anastasia after over 12 referrals to other PTs who barely listened, treated my fairly complex post-surgery chronic pain as every other patient they had, and probably worst of all, saw me in a huge room with 3 other patients at all times, which makes personalized care impossible. The moment I met Anastasia, I knew I was in safe hands. I’ve learned since that I’m lucky enough to work with someone who cares deeply about their craft, encourages and challenges their patients, and has an unnatural ability to soothe pain with a simple touch. I’ve been a patient at Knosis for quite a while, and I’ve gone from on-the-list for extremely invasive surgery, to working out with a personal trainer twice a week; from 8/10 pain every single second of every single day, to flares only when I introduce a new exercise; from barely being able to sit or stand for more than 1 block or more than 10 minutes, to walking a full mile without ANY pain. The belief Anastasia instills in your own capabilities cannot be overstated, and her extensive knowledge of the human body, mechanics, muscle groups, and chronic pain, combined with her genuine care for and understanding of each of her very different patients is unparalleled. I don’t know where I would be without Anastasia or Knosis, and while I am miles beyond needing to come into the office two or three times a week these days, I will always look forward to my more sporadic sessions, that continue to inspire me and reinforce confidence in my ability to always get better. Anastasia goes above and beyond in every area of her life, and her relationship with her patients is no exception — she’ll watch a video of me trying to do a new exercise during her off hours, give advice about the most basic things, and take as many moments as are needed to calm the fears and doubt that come along with chronic pain. I couldn’t be more thankful to have her and Knosis Wellness in my life. And while I’m on the topic — Melissa is the most incredible, friendly face at the desk each time I visit. She never hesitates to work with complicated, busy New York schedules in order to make sure you get the treatment you need, and I feel lucky that she is the first thing I see each time I visit.
I cannot imagine a better place. It's a lovely, beautiful space, unlike any other. As are the staff, the therapists themselves. The facility is extremely well-maintained. Spacious. Bright. Full of light, and with an austerity made of high ceilings, good lighting and unbroken slight lines throughout. And that is only a beginning, a first view that never leaves one. I have admired the professionalism and kindliness, true kindness and open spirit of therapists like Rebecca Gordon (extremely skilled and, at the same time warm and caring) and prior to Rebecca's care, I was in the excellent care of Monica Vitenson. Also, their supervising superior Tracey Vinsel, the person and therapist most responsible for setting the tone of professionalism and engagement and bright spirit within and without. There is also the willing, exuberant and friendly staff, Melissa Rivera especially, always there in a pinch, always helpful. Back to basics: I'm very fortunate to have found my way to Knosis, to Tracey, to Rebecca and to all the other who've made what began in pain, real pleasure, as I am learning now, and for the first time, p/t can be a pleasurable experience worth putting effort and circumspection in. All one need to for corroboration is to peak in. It's really an astounding atmosphere to work within, and filled with astounding pleasant people, staff, therapist and clients like me and others.
I don't normally write reviews. But Knosis (formerly Kima) is one-of-a kind Physio & Wellness studio. Tracey V, the founder, is a very highly experienced, trained & qualified Physio who analyses your overall body and alignment to determine the root cause(s) of the problem. And then prescribes a customized exercise plan (not Youtube exercises!) to address the root cause(s). She does not stop there! She will supplement the program with Pilates or acupuncture or yoga or massage. She truly is a holistic wellness coach!! Tracey introduced me to Pilates instructor Jennifer Long to coordinate my exercise program. Jennifer is superb at what she does and draws upon her background of dance and related studies to change your overall posture. She is also a very compassionate person and always fun to work with. I went to Knosis with recurring severe back spasms; today, those spasms have almost completely disappeared. And my posture has changed for the better. I recommend them very highly.
This place is phenomenal! I work with amy, I came in with a horrible case of plantar fasciitis that did not look good, like I was starting to accept a life with chronic pain at just 21. In 5 months Amy has changed my life and I’m doing so well! It might even be in the cards for me to walk dogs as a job this summer! Knosis is wonderful, a bit pricey, especially with specific treatments, but its right by the flatiron so that is to be expected. If you can swing it financially I cannot recommend them enough! They work around you and can give consistent and recurring appointments. At the same time though they can move things around and the office is so accommodating with zoom visits and cancellations. I am continuing my pt with amy over zoom this summer! Very great and thorough with covid protocols as well, which can not be said for every clinic in town! Love this place!
Knosis is hands-down THE BEST PT PLACE EVER. I went to a whole bunch of places for my herniated disks and labral tear and got nowhere until I found Knosis. The people at Knosis got me strong enough to do some difficult Pilates moves and walk as far as I want when before I could barely get out of bed. My therapist and Pilates instructors are amazing and without parallel. Knosis has a holistic approach—they treat the whole body and they teach you a lot about your movement patterns that are causing you pain. Just go here—it is the best one. :)
I highly recommend Lukasz for physical therapy. His expertise, personalized approach, and dedication to driving great patient outcomes has significantly improved my recovery process and return to sport. The Knosis clinic is warm and welcoming, the staff is friendly, and the range of services they provide (massage, Pilates, physical therapy, Gyrotonic) is truly impressive.
Knosis provides fantastic, personalized care consistently and helped me plan a well thought out treatment plan to get back to doing what I love. Additionally, they did a fantastic job of accommodating my financial needs to help me receive the best treatment possible in a feasible manner. 10/10
I go to Jenny for pilates and she is the absolute best! She is so patient, knowledgeable and informative. She is very meticulous and explains everything to you as you are doing it. If you are coming out of an injury- I highly recommend!
The facility is beautiful and clean. I’ve been seeing Rebecca, and she has been extremely helpful. They have state of the art instruments that helped my injury. Rebecca is a healer and is very knowledgeable!
Knosis has saved me time and again. I came in with neck and back issues and am now feeling better than I have in twenty years, doing Pilates and enjoying my life.
Love the place & all the practitioners! Amazing nutritionist, hydro colon therapist and of course amazing Tracey Vincel owner & physical therapist.
I love this place! Such positive energy and amazing treatments. I always get excited when I have an appointment!!
Jenny Long is amazing!
