Everything I had here is good so I can only imagine everything else here being top-notch. At quick glance the menu is typical for all serious coffee shops using La Marzocco machines that offered avocado toasts and pastries. The latter are sourced from Balthazar and Bibble & Sip. What I really appreciated was the addition of a non-tea/coffee alternative such as smoothies and slushies which are perfect on a hot summer day and a great way to add some fruits/veggies to a child's diet. You can basically customize your smoothie with a preferred base (almond milk, coconut water, or OJ for example) and then add whichever fruits or greens you're in the mood for. They also have a fridge stocked with Health-Aid Kombucha (Ginger Lemon is the bomb) and Gatorade as it is close to all the parks and piers. In short, they did the perfect job keeping their menu and offerings expansive without feeling overwhelming. There are also a number of small tables that were nicely spaced apart (rare in NYC) so you can actually sit, relax, and enjoy the amazing view of the water and city skyline. I enjoyed a La Columbe Black & Tan with a white chocolate matcha dessert which had a lovely raspberry jam on the bottom and topped with a green tea macaron. My husband got a mango smoothie with a coconut water base so it was light, refreshing, and not too sweet. I got a spinach, mango, pineapple, banana smoothie with almond milk and added flax seeds that was delicious and even better than the ones I got from Gregorys or Juice Press recently. After hitting the piers and playgrounds we stopped by for a quick refresher and opted for the mango slushie for the kids and an iced green tea from teapigs for myself. I am also a tea fanatic so was thrilled to see them offering teapigs. I look forward to coming back and trying the avocado toast, their other desserts, and of course - coffee.

One of the few businesses on the Atlantic Avenue side of Brooklyn Bridge Park, I couldn't be more thankful for the existence of Kaigo. I've always been surprised that there aren't more restaurants, bars, coffee places on this side of brooklyn bridge park considering its adjacent to the ferry terminal and the popularity of the park in general. However, Kaigo is here and they're absolutely worth a visit. My go to at this spot is their La Colombe Draft Latte. Frothy and delicious, it is the perfect complement to a sunny day. Even if its not sunny, you can still sit in the lovely cafe and enjoy a cup. The staff are friendly and polite to a fault. They already have lines where the park is crowded and the weather is nice, for good reason. They also offer and array of smoothies which look inviting but I haven't tried yet owing to my preoccupation with the draft latte. A variety of pour over coffees, baked good and some sandwiches round up the menu. There is enough space to comfortably seat around 25 people so its not a hole in the wall. A wonderful addition to Brooklyn Bridge Park, Kaigo hits all the right notes.

If you are looking for a nice experience, avoid this place! I went to buy a pastry and was working outdoor of coffeeshop. I felt I just simply disturb the staff and was an inconvenient to them! The way 2 staffs answered my simple questions from "What is the Wifi password?" "is there any gluten free options?" felt I should have apologized for causing work for them! Needed to plagued in my phone and they said all I can do is to plague it in and leave it unattended immediately! I was checking my text while doing so and was told I was standing there for too long and they could not let me!!!!! There are so many coffee shops that let limited customers inside and ask for proof of vaccination. That is much more logical practice than what I experienced in Kaigo.

Good coffee and pastry. Coffee has some sendiment. So it would be nice to have a better filtering. The service is bad. We were there 40 minutes before closing. We bought our coffees and pastry and wanted to eat inside. They said we cannot sit down as dining area is closed. The dining area is basically open space before the bar. So we chose to stand by the table. At some point a worker came over and tried to kick us out citing they had to clean up. One of the people in our party was an elderly man. This was very disrespectful. If business is still open, people should be able to sit down. Very bad business model. Wish they would train their staff better.

Absolutely recommend. I'm from New Zealand so pretty particular about my coffee but had a perfect Flat White here. Friendly service from the girl at the counter and I really enjoyed the vibe in this spot with the view etc If I lived in the area, this would absolutely be my new morning coffee spot but I will have to settle for popping in whenever I'm back in the area

Matcha latte is very strong, felt more charged than in other places. Taro latte is interesting and delicious of you like that flavor. The place itself is clean, service is cool but the ambiance is not very inviting, there is a lot of empty space and it feels too laconic. Not a cosy cafe where you want to sit on a rainy day.

The avocado toast at Kaigo Room should be the standard for all avocado toast everywhere. The thick cut piece of sourdough, the generous portion of perfectly mashed avocado, and flavorful toppings make this toast a winner worth coming back for even though I’ve moved away. Not to mention their staff is always so attentive and hard working!

I LOVE Kaigo! It’s become a staple for my husband and I. The service is fantastic, coffee is great, and the food is amazing, especially the pastries. I personally am obsessed with the danishes! SO delicious. The staff is so nice here and really go above and beyond with the fantastic service. I also really love how dog friendly they are! Kaigo is just all around totally awesome. Highly recommend!

The cappuccino and the pour over were good, nothing amazing. They have great pastries from Balthazar. Excellent location by the water, a bit pricey, especially that you can sit in the nearby benches on the waterfront for an even closer view of the water.

We stopped off here for a coffee and a sandwich. Simple menu with a good selection of snacks both sweet and savoury. It was very quiet when we were there and we had a nice little table looking towards Manhattan. The grilled cheese sandwich was simple and delicious and the coffee was fine.

It has taken me 5 weeks to write this review because Kaigo was the first coffee we had in NY in early October and we've only just arrived home. Little did we know at the time that this would be the best coffee we would have for our entire stay in NY! Highly recommended.

Avocado toast with pickles, tomatoes, and balsamic is incredible. The oat milk latte is perfect every time. A good amount of outdoor seating. The people are nice and the location could not be better! I end my runs early because I can’t walk by without craving a latte.

  • Nita’s Niche

Great coffee place. Beautiful view, clean, friendly staff and most importantly great coffee. The aroma and flavor of latte was excellent. In addition, barista did a complicated figure on my latte which made me feel valuable as a customer. Highly recommend this place.

Great location and great coffee. Such a treat to enjoy a tasty drink with a view of Manhattan and an easy stroll through Brooklyn Bridge park. Plus everyone at Kaigo was super friendly, the drink was awesome, and the latte art was top notch too. Will surely be back!

Cold wind and rain accidentally forced us to visit this place. We decided to try Caramel Latte and were very happy! We enjoyed not only a coffee but also a wonderful view of Manhattan outside the window !!! Thanks so much, guys, for amazing evening ❤️❤️❤️

Prices are just out of this world. Almost $7 for an iced coffee. How could their own employee afford it elsewhere? Location, however, is great and the coffee does taste good. Giving 4 stars because it came with a plastic straw.

Lavender matcha latte - a signature drink, and it’s delicious. Plus, nice comfortable well spaced outdoor seating with lovely water views. Staff is nice and efficient! Will be back to try some food.

Great Cafe to stop by if you're in the area. Friendly staff and very clean. Great coffee, drink, snack options with reasonable prices. Nice open space to hang out with awesome views of the city.

They brew Parlor coffee, and they do it well! I love their cold brew for its amazing flavor and I love how light it is; it’s not the kind of jet fuel cold brew that will leave you jittery.

  • Heaven Rivera

Very friendly and efficient. Delicious coffee and pastries. Kaigo is an asset to this part of the park. A little too hidden though they need a better sign to see from the park.

  • Nicole Martin

We love the avocado toast here as well as the coffee and their delicious smoothies. They often stock those small immunity shots and keep them cold; nice way to start your day.
