I have been coming to Kanburi Thai Spa for a few years now and have always had a great massage, loved the atmosphere along with the friendly staff, however on my latest visit that happened last week I found a huge disappointment. I was given a different therapist from my usual but I was assured it was the one I booked and has been to a few times already, I would think that I would know! she was also quite unwell but the cherry on top was when I was told that my loyalty card was not accepted here anymore. I had collected 10 stamps at this point worth over £600 and naturally I was looking forward to receiving a free massage on my next visit. The male receptionist was explaining to me in a very unfriendly & unpleasant way that I had this card for far too long, I explained to him that with Covid and travelling a lot I had been unable to attend but he kept repeating that I should have been informed about this previously, but no one did inform me and the conversation kept on going back on forth. As you understand my whole experience was completely ruined and I was upset to be treated this way, how can you treat what I believe to be a loyal customer in this way? There are so many other local massage places I could go to but I chose to keep coming back here because I liked the place and there was a reward promised, it is called a loyalty card and if you are not going to honour them then you don't offer them! I think it is pretty unacceptable to let one book and pay for all massages all the way through and then dispute the free massage, the least they could have done was to have honoured my free massage and then tell me that this will no longer be valid to pay for a massage in the future. In the end, I was offered a 50% discount which I found unprofessional & misleading and decided not to go back where a customer is not valued, the company simply does not care and has dishonest values as well as the wrong approach.

I have visited Kanburi well over ten times with my partner and always had a good experience. I have even invited friends for massages there. Today, I attended a 1hr Thai combination massage. My partner’s experience was excellent; mine was not up to the standard of any of the previous massages. The receptionist asked how our massage was and I explained. He rudely replied that the particular therapist was one of the best and insisted that the problem was my expectations rather than the massage itself. I was shocked to hear him say that at most he would give us £5 off. Obviously, this was not about the money, given we have visited so many times. He did not even apologise. We will not be returning. Edit: After posting this review the receptionist sent my partner a series of abusive text messages, calling her a ‘liar’ and threatening legal action if we did not take this review down. Shocking.

I had as an issue with this spa place before as one of their masseuse caused severe bruises on my back which led me to be bed bound for a number of days. I complained and they returned my money back. This was not an issue as I have been going here for years so I know the standard is good, however it was just one masseuse. Today I tried to book an appointment with a different lady and after confirming my appointment they called and cancelled it an 30 min before my appointment and said I was barred and no longer welcomed. I think this is extremely unprofessional that I am not allowed to book appointment and also have my mobile number blocked all because of an issue caused by one of their massuese.

Saw an add online, had a free hour and said, I’ve got nothing to lose. We’ll, I’ve lost my back for the last 4 days now. Can bearly walk, felt it in the first moment when I’ve left the massage bed. The lady who was giving me the treatment wanted to go home , and wasn’t nice at all, was pushing me the whole time . Seriously I advise you guys to stay away from this place, let’s see how many more days I’ll be suffering from my damaged lower back. WOW !!So after posting my review few days ago, I’ve received an email that accuses me of lying in my review and if I’m not going to remove it they’ll have to act legally!! I’m shocked!

I’ve been intending to book a massage here since they’ve opened but I never got to do it until today. I went for 60 minutes Thai massage and my masseuse Cora was extremely professional and skilled. This is probably the best massage I have gotten in London and I would most definitely be coming again. Cora made the massage feel a lot longer than sixty minutes, she was so attentive to my entire body, worked through the stiffness and pain in all areas which is quite rare in London, most masseurs try to rush things so I was very pleasantly surprised.

Korn's skills are amazing! I am someone who has good knowledge on anatomy and massages so am super particular when it comes to these things. Prior to this visit, I had a horrible experience with another Thai masseuse. I walked out of Kanburi spa not only feeling relaxed. It felt more like a treatment as Korn knows where needs tissue work - combining both gentle and firm pressure only for me to feel pleasure and relief. The environment was also clean, modern and relaxing. I would definitely come by again!

Extremely good experience, perhaps the best massage I've had in years. Treated very well from arrival all the way leaving. Booked in a 1hr anti stress head and back massage, and left thoroughly relaxed enjoying my time with the very friendly staff and lovely massage. Masseuse's name was Bee, Thailand trained lovely lady she was strong and very skilled and made me feel at ease as soon as she entered the room . If this is what you are looking for, I recommend you ask for her. A.

I went for a massage 2 months ago and since then have been in a lot of pain and have difficulty walking some days. I was asked if i had lower back problems and i replied yes. The therapist was very hard on my lower spine. I told her twice it was hurting me but she ignored (maybe she doesnt understand English). After the session my wife had to come and help me walk home as I could hardly walk. I would avoid this place at all costs. Masage is dangerous if not done correctly.

I took my mother there last month and OMG this was the best massage she's ever had in her entire life! I took her there as an early birthday treatment and they took time out to buy a small piece of cake and sang happy birthday for her. Seriously they are so amazing and talented. I'm taking my sister there for a surprise hopefully this month! See you soon again!

Wonderful massage and overall experience! Had the Thai combo massage to relieve sore muscles and the masseuse used the right amount of pressure and also worked on the area asked. Peaceful ambience, gentle background music and the treatment room was separate. Very good massage, would highly recommend and will be coming back here!

One of the best Massages I have experienced so far! Korn was highly professional and passionate at her job. I highly recommend anyone looking to get a deep tissue massage. One of the best massages I've ever had! A lovely calm oasis, very clean and with spacious treatment rooms. The Thai combination massage was a perfect mix of techniques and the pressure was perfect. Will definitely return even though I don't live nearby, fantastic value and highly recommended

I had a great massage at Kanburi Thai Spa. The centre is brand new, very welcoming and clean and my therapist was brilliant. Also, they offer a wide timetable to book your appointment, which is a bonus.
