Apart from broccoli purée, noting tasted good. Don’t be fooled by the reviews like me. The grilled chicken stuffed fillet was extremely dry as though the Grillmaster doesn’t know at what temperature to bring it down, oils y finish it after two bites. The tandoori murg was dry as hell, well you can grate it to make spicy chicken powder I guess. The chicken tikka was so so and the momo was decent but not fresh made but kept frozen as though when they served it watery liquid was coming from inside after first bite making sure it was frozen for longer time and not made fresh. The surprise was they gave the feeling of a fine dine but no one came to ask about the taste or experience of the food, rather quietly ignore as because of my skin color maybe cause they were very prompt to two other table with more fair skin tone people. I just laughed at that cause they could have easily got me into spending more than any other table at that time cause it was my last day at Nepal and I was on a spending spree, judging by cover was not wise I guess. Anyway it’s a long review, they are an old establishment with good reviews but to me it is not totally worthy at all with the amount they charge and the quality of food and service. Hope they improve and people don’t feel down after visiting them.

I had the pleasure of dining at Kathmandu Grill for dinner yesterday, and once again, it did not disappoint! The food here is consistently amazing, and the staff is incredibly friendly. I tried their dal Bhat set, paneer kulcha, dal tadka and the flavors were outstanding. I can't get enough of their delicious Indian Nepali cuisine. My lunch experience at Kathmandu Grill was equally fantastic. The quality of the food is consistently top-notch, and the friendly staff make every visit enjoyable. I tried some of their signature dishes paneer biryani and pulao, and they never fail to impress with their authentic flavors. For breakfast on the following day, I couldn't resist returning to Kathmandu Grill. Their breakfast options were a delightful surprise, and I couldn't get enough of their fresh and flavorful offerings of aloo paratha and puri bhaji . The staff's warm hospitality added to the overall positive experience. In conclusion, my two-day culinary journey at Kathmandu Grill has been nothing short of amazing. The food is consistently superb, and the staff's warmth and friendliness create a welcoming atmosphere. Whether it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I can't get enough of this place!

Zamówiłem steka z warzywami i frytkami oraz zamkniętą butelkowaną colę. Najpierw kelner przyniósł mi w otwartej butelce Pepsi, do której napój z nalewaka z wody wodociągowej sieci Katmandu. Później dostałem danie, ale bez sztućców, na które czekałem 3 minuty. Danie: zimne frytki i zimne warzywa, stek miał być medium, a był wysmażony generalnie jedna wielka porażka, nie polecam!!! Według mojej oceny opinie zostały przez tą restaurację na Google kupione i są fałszywe. W odpowiedzi na Waszą odpowiedź: Zamawiam najdroższe danie w Waszej restauracji i dostaję, to co napisałem powyżej. Nie mam zamiaru nic u Was jeść!!!!!!!! Szkoda mi pieniędzy, czasu i nerwów !!!!! We ate here three times (one lunch and two dinners) during our stay in Thamel, Kathmandu area. It is a really nice restaurant. Although we preferred eating outside, we chose to eat inside during our last two visits because the outside dining is the smoking area while inside is nonsmoking. The Nepali musicians in the evening make the atmosphere even more enjoyable and can be heard inside quite clearly. Everything we ate was wonderful. We enjoyed the vegetarian Thali, mushroom soup, paneer kolcha, vegetable soup, and peanut sedhako. The manager, Lila, was always helpful. He came to our table to inquire about our food and visit each time. If you have any type of wait while there, it is because the place is very popular and the wait staff is literally hustling between the many tables. Any bit of wait is worth it to eat at this restaurant.

Despite visiting on a Friday night for a meal, it seemed we were the only Nepali patrons. The delay in taking our order, coupled with the late arrival of the Thali Set, was understandable due to the crowded venue. However, the lack of attention for refills left our lentils and vegetables cold, and we observed a possible bias in service compared to other diners. The apparent discrepancy in the timeliness of service made us wonder if our nationality played a role. When we addressed our concerns, the response was an apology and a 10% discount. Feeling humiliated in a Nepali-style restaurant is disheartening, reflecting poorly on the establishment's commitment to customer satisfaction.

I was happy with my meal, until the maitre d submitted my bill. He, not subletly, sought that I add a service charge. With over 80 days in Nepal, this was the first time I rudely received this expectation. He should have left things to my waiter, who was excellent, and deserved a tip. I had a vegetarian pizza. It was satisfactory but I have received better value elsewhere in Thamel. I requested tomatoes and I received onions instead. The "special" dessert was pricey but enjoyable; not that I would order it again. The restaurant atmosphere is nice.

I don't typically review places. However, this place was terrible. Bad food. Overpriced. The pasta I ordered tasted like ashes. Its as if they made a fire, and dumped the ashes into the dish. I directly told them this. I couldn't eat it. I got a refund for it, though can't recommend it. The pizza was also terrible The only thing that was decent was the Himalayan potatoes. The problem is that when we asked to put the rest in a takeout box, they threw it out. The area is nice. That's about all this place has going for it.

Grilled Chicken

This is our 2nd time dining here jn a week because food was just impeccable. The owner was nice and accommodating to allow us to "customise" a dish (grilled trout), and oh boy was it the highlight of the night! He also recommended the tandoori murg which was equally juicy and bursting with flavour. Every dish was unique and delicious. We have another 10 more days here and would definitely be back here once more before we fly. 100% recommend!

The waiters were impeccable. They make you feel very welcome and they are always with a smile on their faces. The prices are perfect for low budget and you don’t expect the food to be so good. The steaks are delicious and the sauces that are combined with full of flavour. But I would highly recommend it for the staff. Again all the waiters are so kind!!!! Best service.

Great food and great ambiance. We tried veg thali for dinner, as a light eater one portion was big enough for two people and unlike most places the veggies were fresh and full of flavors. Three of us went here because it’s close to our hotel and had a good rating, but despite restaurant being almost empty simple chicken curry took quite long to prepare, while part of the order (salad and the main dish) the waiter just forgot ! These are my airpods and too salty and sour salad for almost $5. And before I asked the restaurant manager about the green leaves’ salad that I was looking for. Lovely food and service (my server was Mahesh) at Kathmandu Grill. I ordered the pork one night and for my very last meal in Nepal, I had the vegetarian Dal Bhat. Both were delicious.

After a couple of weeks trekking the steak I had was amazingly good. Two weeks of little more than dahl baht left me craving some meat! And Kathmandu Grill delivered.

One of the worst experience that I had with my friends for dine in. The Grill came cold without taste they sad wine bar with only one selection of wine the food was cold not as expected with the chefs signature dish. Not worth it

It is a good choice for those who want to admire a combination of tasty food and calm garden-type ambience! Murj Malai Tikka together with naan (a special tandoori bread) is very delicious! After 6 p.m. you may enjoy local folk music, which creates a nice ambience

Delish momo's and fantastic Thukpa, wonderful dining experience with live music by the fire.

Very cosy environment, nice staff and manager, very friendly and great service. I can just chill here whole afternoon. We had pizza and fries and it was delicious. The latte here is fabulous. Must try!
