Went here on a Monday morning at 9am. The spa wasn't open at 9am even though Google says it is. I called to see if anybody was there anyway, no response. About 30 minutes later I receive a call saying the spa would be open in about 15 minutes. I get there when it's open, and nobody is at the front desk downstairs. So I wait a little bit, and eventually someone comes downstairs and asks me to take my shoes off before going upstairs. I get upstairs and am greeted by a man at the front desk. I say I want the reflexology massage, which is about 45 minutes long for 2,200NPR. I'm brought to a room for my massage. The masseuse speaks very little English. About 20 minutes into my massage, I tell her less pressure. But she doesn't understand so I'm still in pain. I tell her about two more times, but it doesn't register with her. So I'm in pain for my massage and end up in more pain than when I arrived. She worked more on my calves than my feet, too. When she did massage my feet, she was digging in with her nails, too. Very uncomfortable. I tell the man at the front desk afterwards, and he apologizes and gives me 200NPR off. Next time, it would be better if they ask our pressure preference prior to the massage. This could even be done by giving customers a scale on paper to fill out in English and in Nepalese to address the language barrier.

The space is clean and massage beds are good. The massage itself was okay but unfortunately not what we had asked for. Asked for a massage that would focus on back/lower back and what we got was a massage that massaged those areas for a few minutes and then moved on with the standard program - very disappointing! Regular Price was 3500 rupees for 60minutes which is a lot for Nepal. We were given a holiday discount but in the end were supposed to pay more than what we had been told at fire. Recommended for a standard massage but not if you Jahr special requests

I went to have a deep tissue massage after trekking for 9 days following the comments on Google. I do not know whether it was in the end of the day for the staff or just the one massaged me but it was too soft, without energy and yawning every few minutes during the one hour massage. As I live in Asia I have had hundreds of massages in the last 6 years but this one was not worth it at all. I give two stars instead one because the staff were friendly.

I came here after 12 days of trekking. There are different types of massages available here but I decided to go for Trekker's Massage. It's a deep tissue massage and quite relaxing for me until I dozed off a few times. Though I find the price is a little bit expensive but the masseuse is quite professional. I'm quite impressed. At the end of the services, I find that the price is worth it. No body ache or whatsoever. Totally recommend this place.

It was my first treak. And i went Thamel spa which was in the main street of Thamel which it was located. I went with my friend it was one of the beautifull spa in the Thamel and the facilities of the sap was fabulous and the staff was very helpful and they were well traned staff the wifi was very good and the room was so clean and tidiness.

Do not get a manicure here. Worst manicure ever. “Manicurist” managed to cut me when removing my cuticles. I also ended up having to file my own nails and had to ask the lady to remove the nail polish as there was polish all over the skin around my nails and under my nails. They still made me pay for this “service”... …

I was very impressed with this spa. I have had well over 500 massages in my life and this was in the Top 10. Especially after a trek. Well priced. Clean and comfortable rooms. And my therapist - Sangita B - was very good. She definitely knew what she was doing. I definitely recommend this spa.

Had great experience of Sauna and steam bath. Kathmandu Spa and Massage center is located at the heart of touristic place thamel. The management team and staffs are very friendly the welcomes us with organic green tea. I suggest you to visit this spa if you are planning for massage or spa.

Highly recommended,, the therapist was so professional , above my expectation,, even the price is so reasonable... I was really impressed when the therapist confirmed whether the pressure was okie for me.. feel so relaxed now.. Will definitely visit again in upcoming days..

Last week i visited Kathmandu spa in thamel i tried Nepali traditional massage. It was excellent ! A professional staff, clean place and well managed place i really recommend this spa.

This has to be one of the best massages i have had, and it felt even better after a 12 day trek. We had the 1 hour 30 min trekkers massage followed by the sauna- brilliant. Thank you

The price was a little on the higher side but extremely professional and well trained masseau. Highly recommended for a deep tissue full body massage. Costs 2200 NPR for 60 mins.
