Can never reach them by phone and internet is a hit and miss. As a South African citizen living abroad this is my only lifeline in an emergency. They dont seem to want to be contacted. Update: I went to the embassy and the Indonesian lady at reception was very combative and did not want to offer solutions to the issue at hand. (mind you I was still angry at the telephone not working). The excuse that I have received for almost 5 years now is that the switchboard is being moved to another provider. When pressed on this explaining this is 2023 and Jakarta is one of the most connected cities in the world I was told it was a complicated process. The email i sent 3 days ago has still not been replied to and one of the email addresses on the website returns mail. The African lady that assisted us was very professional and deescalated the situation. Sorry it was too heated to get names. My daughters first visist to an embassy and it was an education. I pray I never need their assistance.

Staff from embassy was really helpful. I came to interview the Acting Ambassador, Mr. Vickesh Maharaj for an assignment. The office located at 7th floor. First come you have to register at front office and tell your necessary. We typing with Mrs. Anna and she was friendly to schedule an interview Mr. Vickesh. I send a lot of thanks to embassy's staff, great service!

Impossible to contact no matter what the situation. Not even a recorded message. The one time I managed to speak to someone they said they cannot help me until Home Affairs is open in SA and this happened a while back already. Jakarta has been mostly open for over two weeks, but not the embassy.

Mengurus visa sendiri ternyata mudah asal lengkap dokumennya. Bu elan sangat ramah dan cantik . Lebih baik datang langsung untuk informasi lebih jelas bila ada kekurangan . Saya sangat suka dengan south africa semoga suatu hari bisa kembali kesana lagi untuk hiking gunung2 di sana .

Poor service, appauling for an institution of such importance. Competency is to be questioned. Slow response times. Number listed on website is inactive, multiple complaints have been made but the same inactive number is still listed. Emailing is no different. Bad service all round.

Take longer tgan 15 days to process my visa application, then they asked a confirmed flights, but still no decision yet to get my visa granted. I am very disappointed. Noted they still hold my passport too

Actually this South African embassy was very friendly and gave professional service, something one does not see often anymore for government services in SA.

it must be better, because the security officer is not good, and the instructions given to us to make a visa are not clear enough so we are disappointed

The service I recieved from the Jakarta Embassay of South Africa was excellent. The staff were knowlegable and provided me with a service that is 10/10.
