The last thing I have time for is to write this review, and the fact I am writing it at all should tell you how I feel about this business. We run a small business and are expanding quickly. Our goal was to find an accounting firm in Dallas that understood our growth mindset and was entrepreneur-friendly. We wanted help with tax preparation and to make sure we were bookkeeping with best practices. It took months and countless unanswered emails to get anywhere with Kelly CPA accountants after the first in person meeting. Our intake form and answers provided were even lost by their office at one point. After calling and being blatantly ignored multiple times by the accountant their first assigned us, they finally assigned a new accountant a few weeks before the deadline to file. I asked multiple times over email and calls to meet in person to review our information since the firm lost our data. He ignored my requests for the in person meeting just like the previous accountant who was assigned. I have major issues with the way they bill. Part of it is my fault - make sure if you use them to get their fees agreed to in writing. They claim they discussed this in person at our first meeting, but we don’t have this written down nor do we remember for sure if it was agreed to many months ago. They don’t include pricing in the engagement letter, which makes no sense to me. A simple google search shows this business charges 2-3x the average market price for tax returns - definitely worth knowing before signing an engagement letter. Finally, after requesting a sit-down with their bookkeepers to review best practices and being ignored on that, it was clear they weren’t a firm that truly cares about supporting small businesses. They have done a great job with their marketing and the millennial friendly office space - but these things definitely duped me.

I'm an attorney in solo practice, and have struggled through all things numbers for 20 years. With my practice growing, I began to think of different ways to free up my time to do more legal, and less admin and bookkeeping work. A friend referred me to Marie Kelly, and finding her was seriously one of the biggest turning points in my professional career. In addition to my personal and corporate taxes, they set up a streamlined bookkeeping plan, online payroll and time management software. So, while I initially was looking for a CPA and help sorting through my QuickBooks (which was a mess), what I got was a full service accounting/bookkeeping/mentoring firm that provides over-the-top service. I estimate I'm saving at least 2 hours a day now (some days 3), which frees my time up to practice law, and generate revenue. Kelly CPA's bookkeeper Kyle comes to my office once a week, for maybe an hour, and pays my bills/reconciles my accounts, and makes my life SO easy! I give this recommendation as a perfectionist. I highly recommend Kelly CPA.

Ms. Kelly assisted me today with directions of how to handle a financial situation for my motorcycle club. She was attentive and compassionate as she explained my options. She took the time to look up some records online to get a clearer picture of my/our predicament and then gave me advice that put me on the right track to solve the problem. I had left messages with approximately 20 CPA's and she was the only one to call me back and offer help even though the day I called was a tax deadline date of some sort so most of the offices I contacted said they could not assist and to call again at a later date. It's people like Ms. Kelly that give me faith that the world can be a less scary place.

Not a good experience for me. Only used them for one year, got passed around to a couple of CPAs, did not seem to be very organized or efficient. Was asked multiple times for docs they already had. Nice people when you’re there in person but pretty clearly a poorly run shop. Better than a hot beer, but would not recommend using this company.

I had a brief phone conversation with Marie in the group. I’ve been running my business for under 1 year and she notified me of a few items I needed to address immediately. And they never asserted that I “had to” work with them, rather recommending I use another group because my business is not yet large enough...they were saving me money!!!

Marie, Lisa, and the entire team at Kelly CPA are great. They go out of their way for me as a client. Any of the team members are willing to answer any questions at any time of day. Also, their pricing is great!

Kelly CPA was wonderful to work with! They did an amazing job on my small business as well as my individual taxes. I highly recommend this firm for those looking for any tax related help.
