Looks good, but value, quality and after sales support are terrible. UPDATED following King response/second failed repair below. Take note - they only got in touch about repairs after i wrote this review, and offered to pay me to delete the review rather than fix the problem. Spend your dollars elsewhere. I've ordered two pieces from King, a bed and a reclining sofa. Both have had warranty issues and after 3 months of chasing to get a response, i am still waiting on a fix. Bed - after waiting months for a bed because lights werent available, the lights provided flickered and we had to wait for a replacement. Now the charge table wont stop blinking. After raising this with King in June 2022, they sent a replacement table and this did not fix the issue. The King attendee diagnosed it as an issue with the bed frame. That was in July 2022. Despite logging a ticket online, calling the support line and visiting a store, nobody at King will tell me what to do next. Apparently their warehouse wont tell them whether parts are available... at time of writing it's been 3 months! Sofa - the recliner mysteriously started reclining on its own, and King sent some staff to replace 'fuse boxes' - however when the staff arrived they mentioned the switches are impacted by humidity, which means if it rains the lounges can move on their own. This is a problem if you have small children who can get their fingers caught in the mechanism, or older people who might have a fall when trying to get in/out when the mechanism starts of its own accord. Bottom line, dont buy if it has electronics/moving parts - you will be disappointed/at risk. King has asked i contact a dedicated customer email for this - but i have contacted them via email and other methods previously on: 25 June 3 August 18 August 15 September 29 September (phone) 8 October (store) 18 October (support ticket). 12 November: i have received a response from King stating it is still an additional 4 week wait for parts despite this being logged with the 'spare parts department' some months ago. 7 December technician visit, swapping a part over in 5 minutes. Worth nearly 6 months of chasing? 8 January 2023 bedside table part flickering again. These people are not committed to quality..

The actual showroom is fine and sales people were nice, helpful and I have no complaints about my experience of purchasing furniture from them. So one star to them. However, everything else that happened after the fact of placing order was pretty bad customer experience. We purchased Delta III sofa in May and delivery date was set to early July. Well, quite a waiting time, but we accepted the necessary. But the troubles came when it was time to get our sofa delivered. When the sofa was delivered, it came with one part missing. It was not even in the papers that delivery team had with them. So it took me a couple of calls to customer care to locate the lost part and they arranged another delivery on Saturday same week. Since each delivery means you are stuck at your place for half a day (their window usually like from 8am to 12 pm), we had Saturday wasted. But this is not all, those parts that were delivered, while unpacking, I found defect on the cover and immediately took a photo of it and called up customer service. They just asked me to email the complaint. And it took a week for them to respond. I expected better response, considering that I was complaining about the quality of delivered goods. They responded saying they will order new cover and it will take another 6-8 weeks to get it produced and then they will arrange a technician to come and replace the cover. So another waiting day. Why do I have to go through this pain when purchasing new furniture? Go figure. UPDATE: The contacted me after the review and offered $250 gift card for the inconvenience. So one more star for at least not refusing to acknowledge the fact of bad service. Plus the sofa itself is pretty good. UPDATE 2: They promised to post the gift voucher to me a month ago, and it hasn't arrived yet. So not at all sure it will ever do. UPDATE3: The voucher has arrived indeed.

Terrible quality and customer service. we have always wanted a king living furniture and were so excited to finally receive it. Dec 2022 we received our lounge set. and that's when all the troubles began. the recliners don't close properly and the charging tables don't work. technical team came out first in Jan 2023 - thought it was fixed but nope. came out again in March 2023 - said the recliner frame is crooked so will order a new one - new frame came - but then technical team said oh its the media console unit that's not crooked and they ordered a new one back in JUNE - we are in November and we were supposed to get a new media table (which i hope fixes the issue - but considering the history i don't have much hope) - and no news!! we are absolutely appalled by the quality of the lounge - it makes noise when it reclines - apparently its a leather thing - never had that issue with other leather recliners - the media tables don't work - we have changed all of them and they worked for 2 weeks and stopped working again!!! the recliners don't fold back properly... we disabled the sensor (absolute pain) and it still doesn't recline properly. just so disappointed with the whole ordeal!!! My piece of advise - Save your money and go somewhere else. Edit: 14 Nov - Still have not received any calls and no responses to my emails. I have now officially lodged a complaint with Fair Trading.

In store service was good and delivery was made earlier than anticipated. The after sales service however has been appalling. Underneath the lounge the dust cover was torn. It took 9 months for someone to come out to fix it. It also took 9 months for the leg joiners to be sent out (despite mulitple promises before hand.) The men that were sent to fix the dust covers told me upon their own inspection there was nothing wrong with the covers. I had to get down and find the tear myself. In the process of fixing it, they have chipped the corner of the unit so the veneer has been broken in a very obvious place. The service men must have noticed this as it is very obvious but they said nothing at the time. I rang to advise of this when I got home and realised this and was told to respond to my original repair email.I did so and heard nothing. Upon calling back, I was told that the call had been closed and that a new ticket would need to be opened, so effectively we go back to the start again. Extremely unimpressed with after sales service and would not use King again because of this. UPDATE: Have sent email to address as requested. Note I have now been offered $150 off my next purchase. I have kindly declined that offer and again requested that the chip that was made from your service technicians to be replaced.

Posting on behalf of my wife after an appalling experience today at the castle hill store. We went to king living as we are fans of the brand looking for a specific type of bed. The female floor attendant was absolutely terrible, providing no insight, unhelpful, cold, asked no questions, and in general would not provide the information we needed. When my wife (who is 7 months pregnant) asked for a price and information to take away, she was told ‘giving you the price is pointless as it changes’. I left to go and browse some other items, only to find out that the store manager Troy (who in a prior experience I was led to believe was a good person) dismissed my wife saying ‘don’t worry about them, they are a waste of time’ We aren’t a waste of time you fool. We bought a king bed from his store a couple of years ago, and had already finalised a sale for a mattress and a Dyson appliance that day. I am a head of sales for another business, and can assure you this team of arrogant, poorly trained and rude people are costing this franchise money hand over fist. We finalised the sale with another business downstairs and will not be returning. Wake up to yourself mate, you’re kidding yourself! Buyer beware!

18/06 and 19/06 After worst experience last week , this weekend we visited Northmead showroom… 18/06 , Northmead- Shannon was really helpful and we received all the information to make our mind to buy king living furniture.. really good customer service 19/06 today - We visited castle hill shopping Center and when we were passing king living show room , my wife thought to go and have a look the sofa we really like. We met Troy and he was absolutely a super hero. Made my day with giving us so much more information and his experience is second to none Thanks Troy and Shannon for being really helpful and we have decided to buy the furniture we really like. One sept close to making the deposit We will place the order through Troy @ castle hill as it’s closer to where we live. ********************************************************* Worst experience Worst sales people Staff hate customers Management will need to take a quick decision on staff in the castle hill showroom , unless for sure company will go bankrupt We went to shop and really liked a sofa set and we were thinking of buying it …. But unfortunately sales girls didn’t wanted to sell it to us ..

Troy Wedesweiler the manager of the Castle Hill showroom and his team embody the true meaning of above and beyond customer service and professionalism. My partner and I have been saving for our dream sofa for the past year and as soon as we arrived at the Castle Hill showroom we where greeted with enthusiasm, product knowledge and a genuine desire to make us feel that we where the only people in the showroom. We where amazed that Troy and his team even though very busy. All customers where attended to and looked after as we where. We where offered experienced interior decoration advice By Troy and along with his eye for detail and flare we felt immediately that this gentleman new his stuff. We will definately be placing an order for our new sofa before the end if the week. We can not express highly enough the amazing experience that we received and we will be making a point of telling all that we know. Thank you once again to Troy and his team at the Castle Hill Showroom.

Expensive and doesn't last. Showrooms look good but I have had nothing but problems with the lounge. It takes 8 weeks to get one made and delivered and they rang me on about the 6th week and told me they hadn't started it yet. Three years later and many warranty call outs the couch looks sloppy and terrible. It just cost me $1080 to buy a new cover for a two seater. The first cover I had pilled badly and needed replacing after 2 years. My house is constantly covered in feathers that push their way through the fabric of the back cushions. I constantly have to adjust the cover so that the seams are in the right place. The seat cushions have moved forward and now hang over the front of the couch towards the ground. They offer a warranty but failed to mention that after 2 years they charge a $75 call out fee. Everything takes them FOREVER. Save yourself the time and money and go somewhere else.

This is our first luxury couch we’ve purchased so I was concerned that the process would be complicated, awkward and and frankly overpriced . To my surprised I was extremely happy with the the whole process. The team were great to deal with even though with their sale the store was buzzing with people asking a million questions pulling them sideways . Our representative was able to keep his cool dealing with us and others without losing focus on our needs . We felt so comfortable that quality we were investing in would be a wise choice . We were happy to pay the deposit and wait the time for delivery which to our surprise was sooner than expected . The installation team were very professional and knowledgeable of the products and assembly was extremely high quality. We are very happy with our choice and happy to recommend them for others to use .

I've frequented this store on multiple occasions, and I've consistently experienced a lack of proactive assistance. The employees stationed at the front desk seem to have a clear view of customers like me who are standing around, waiting for someone to approach us for general inquiries, but unfortunately, no one does. It's frustrating, to say the least. It's unclear whether the issue is a result of arrogance or laziness among the staff, but it certainly leaves a negative impression. If the store's manager happens to come across this message, please understand that I am more than willing to make a purchase here, as I have the funds to do so. However, the recurring lack of attentiveness from your staff is discouraging me from spending my money here.

I recently took a side table back that had broken. It originally cost $120 and to replace it 2 years later it cost me $260 + a delivery fee into the store $25. I had to pick this up.... I complained as I had an extended warranty but 'oh no' that was for the lounge electrics only how convenient. After me complaining I got a 20% discount on the table and they waived the delivery fee (yes the one into store for me to then pick up). Can anyone tell me if their salary has increased to the extent of the price hike above in 2 years? It is just a cash grab nothing less. The sales assistant was good as I think she saw the ridiculousness of this. The store manager kept her distance from me and let her staff handle my complaint. Makes you wonder.......

Customer service We have an electronic sofa from a different company and it’s broken, we wanted to go back to the original store but the store was gone. So we went in to this store ask if they have seen that company or if they know anything about fixing it. That sales lady (or even manager, Idek) just shook her head and said no she knew nothing WHICH is understandable because why would she want to benefit their competitors right. What really threw me off is her attitude. If she asked and understood what my problem was, and introduced her own product nicely without giving me her attitude, perhaps we would purchase a new sofa from them. I will never come back here because of today’s experience.

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever received. Went in this morning and we weren’t even acknowledged by either of the ladies on the floor, aside from the first lady barking at us to sign in and then turned briskly and walked straight back to her computer before I could get a word in. We had already chosen online the sofa, sofa bed & desk that we wanted to purchase. We did a loop of the store and sat on both the sofas we wanted for a little while, then went and sat at the desk were intending to buy for a good 5 minutes, without being acknowledged, before we decided to leave. Their rude behaviour cost them well over $10,000 sale.

Thank you Chelsi. Never have I ever experienced any service like this before. Chelsi listened to what I was after and sought to understand the space itself. From there Chelsi shared with me the importance of textures and colours. As a designer, I was blown away by the knowledge and passion Chelsi had for her products. She was so extremely professional for such a young talent. Her understanding and professionalism that she brought to my visit was so unique. I was looking for a lounge that would suit our apartment, with limited space. Though I am the owner of 2 King lounge suites. I didn't think it possible to purchase a King lounge on our budget. We were presently surprised. Kristine from Castle Hill Store served me and was amazing it steering me on possibilities and choice. Her product knowledge and design guidance was so appreciated. She got my style. I didn't feel pressured to make a decision or commit. I'm so excited about my choice and look forward to be sitting in my beautiful King lounge.

The worst store manager I ever met. She told me that a wobbling leg is normal because it is 'adjustable'. If you ask what would be the solution for my problem, she said the product does not have any problem, but "you" do have a problem. what will be the solution? I asked then. She said " I don't know, I don't work in manufacturing, I don't work for CUSTOMER SERVICE! to be honest I don't know, you can come to our store, and ring the customer service from here." That will be the treatment you are going to have after YOU PAID 5000 dollars.

Buyer Beware: Worst customer service. "Attempted" a delivery, the courier service were having a whine about access. Nothing that I've had 3 different major deliveries, and a removalist delivery furniture with 0 problems over the last few weeks. Their poor attempt meant that I needed to spend an additional $200 for them to "redeliver" my furniture. Resorting to poor tactics to squeeze more out of customers is really poor taste.

Fantastic service and extremely helpful sales assistant named Zeinab couldn’t have made the process of ordering a whole new living room simpler or provided a better experience. Highly recommended King! And as for anyone who rates this place a one star, it’s completely unreasonable and dishonest! Half these people have had discounts to their complaints and still rate the retailer one star! How is that fair?

My husband and I had a wonderful experience with a lovely sales rep named Marcia. She was very warm and extremely knowledgeable of the store and the products offered. My husband and I were on the fence about a coffee table, however Marcia took my details to email me later to let us know that it was on sale! Fantastic customer service experience. Would highly recommend Marcia!

Absolutely appalling. Would not allow my wife to enter because they do not accept medical exemption. We have never experienced such discrimination. Some people cannot be vaccinated for legitimate medical reasons that are beyond their control. The poor security guard looked very sheepish having to send us away. We will be taking this further.

We owned a few King furniture pieces in our home. This time we wanted to add additional sofa. We went to the store in castle hill and was served by Kristine. She was very knowledgeable. With a few of our selected pieces, she provided us with very well informed recommendation to help us with our selection to meet our style and budget.

Went into Castle Hill store ready to drop 5-6k on a sofa today after doing all of our research online. The floor manager needs to re-sit the customer service 101 course. He was dismissive and aggressive and just outright rude. We will be spending our 5-6k elsewhere. Nobody needs to be treated like a peasant to live like a king.

Please do not go to this store. My boyfriend was in intensive care and they refused the nurse's request to change delivery date. He had to fight hard to get the date changed. They are heartless and do not care about their customers. I would have given it a 0 star but the rating does not go lower than 1 star.

Ordered a new sofa a few months back and received it today. They were able to organize contactless service. Troy the sales manager was fantastic. They forgot to deliver a minor part, however after sales process is seamless. Highly recommend King Living Castle Hill.

This shop, although not as big as some of their other premises has a reasonable sized show room. We always know what we want when buying from King, so for us it is just a matter of ordering then getting the item delivered.

Very helpful staff and good range of sofas. The Northmead store is much larger though. Sales stuff are knowledgeable, but not pushy. They work from a shared commission so you won’t have people following you as you browse.
