Boring station in comparison to Indian railway stations ...I was expecting lots of shops to buy any food items but there was not a single shop , there was a silence like hospital everyone should try to visit Indian railway stations....We can hear the sound of ...Chaiiiii .....Chaiii...there, We can eat lots of pakoras (fritters)and many more things, lots of vendors can be seen in trains and on platforms also...it's an altogether a great experience , but on king street station my experience was not good related to food ....but architecture is really good ...nice beautiful building

There is no busness class room (as compared with Union station). People working there are friendly. There was a huge spill near to ladies room that never got cleaned up the entire time I hung out there waiting on my train (almost 6 hours!) The signs for handicapped persons (where to wait) are not clear and the boarding door information can be confusing. My advice pay attention try to figure out where the boarding person is "headed". Also I overheard a train attendant tell a gentleman there IS no overnight sitting in station

Not much to say, it's a train station. It was nice, bright, and festive for Christmas. The women's restroom could use a major upgrade and there were a few homeless people sleeping inside near the restroom. I did see a souvenir shop that sells hot breakfast items, sandwiches, and coffee. They also have a restuarant located outside nextdoor to the station, not sure of the hours. There are alot of hotels in proximity to the train station, you can get to within 5mins by Uber.

King Street Station is a beautiful destination that boasts a rich history, stunning architecture, and a convenient location in the heart of Seattle. Featuring a clock tower, domed roof, and arched windows is simply breathtaking. The station's interior is just as impressive, with marble floors, high ceilings, and elegant details that harken back to a bygone era. Whether you are a transportation enthusiast, architecture buff, or simply riding Amtrak.

Good size station, with very grand interiors. The drop-off area was a little chaotic, but everyone seemed to come out of it unscathed! Plenty of seating available for all gates. There is no public announcement system, so you had to pay very good attention to the employee speaking loudly, to ascertain where you needed to be and what you needed to do. This was tricky due to an echo created by the very tall stone ceilings and walls.

This is a beautiful train station in itself. It has high ceilings, crown molding and beautiful wooden pews. The drop off area is a little tight but always seems to work out. There is food and amenities nearby the station while inside there aren’t many options but there are some. They have people inside to help direct you to where you need to go and do try to make things clear with the signage and posted information.

Signage is terrible to distinguish between the right rail between the Sounder versus Amtrak. There are a lot of buildings and doors ALL except one are locked! Put up sone signs that direct people to the right entrance! I have mobility issues and the elevators are not easy to find and or are not working! This place needs some serious help making it ADA accessible!

  • Austin LeFevre

The stations old style decor is nice, but inside it echos really bad and it's extremely difficult to hear anyone shouting instructions or changes. There's a little seating but nothing immense, the staff are friendly and helpful. The parking is very limited and the pick up/drop off needs to be redone. People get stuck all the time and it doesn't flow well.

Was here today, coming up from Portland for work. Place is very clean inside and I love the architect too. Really like how they keep the place clean and free of street folk…aka….homeless people. Shout out goes to all involved for making this station a safe and clean place to do business. Thank you all and keep this place another safe haven to travelers.

Wife and I were close by and she needed to use a restroom so we went into King Street Station. It was absolutely beautiful! They just don't make buildings like this anymore. Aside from it's beauty, it was clean & well maintained. If you need a train ride or just want to see some beautiful architecture then I totally recommend checking this place out!

  • Jojo Pototo

Quaint, with beautiful architecture. Wonderful staff (shoutout to you, David!) That check on waiting passengers to assist in whatever needs they may have. He was non-stop with assisting and directing to lavatory or to which door and track to go to. Thank you. (It didn't hurt that the train was on time also, which Dave kept us up to date with)

While I was waiting in line with around 100 people, the security guard said as he stood next to the door 'you look tired and grouchy' I replied 'wow that's a weird thing to say to a stranger' and he just laughed. Then the guy on the train offered me a lift home in his friend's truck!!! Why are men like this. 1/10 experience on the train.

Architecturally interesting, but no services, lounge, or things you would expect in a major train station that services two of the most popular long distance routes and a regional that goes from Vancouver to Eugene. I needed an elevator the other day and it was closed for repairs and I had to drag my suitcases up the stairs. Not cool.

Had a wonderful mini vacation went to Leavenworth with the family for a couple days took a bus up to King station for the first time no driving around jumped on a train to Leavenworth awesome I recommend it, stayed in the Bavarian Lodge across the street from the park in Leavenworth fun with the family

  • Baronesse Bham

Clean and beautiful architecture. Bus departures are from outside to the right of the taxi area. If stairwell up to Jackson is available, take that for easy access to the light rail. There are a few outlets for charging your phone along the wall by the women's restroom. The tile floor is pretty.

First time actually “in” the station! I usually am dropping off or picking up my daughter who lives in Bellingham. Beautiful building, reminded me of Central Station in New York. Surprisingly very clean (for Seattle)! We were immediately greeted and asked if we needed assistance…this was nice!

  • Topher Smith

This is a smallish, yet really beautiful train station. I take trains out of Seattle pretty often, and the boarding process is better than a lot of other cities. And if you have some time to wait before your train, it's a great place to walk around outside and take some photos.

  • amantastic

It’s beautiful but acoustics suck. Hard to understand speakers while waiting for the train. No lounge for first class passengers, and one has to pay for them to hold baggage, even if you are first class. Restaurants close by, international district just a few block walk.

  • David Lankford

Easy to get through the station but the acoustics need improving as it was difficult to hear the announcements. Probably not a lot can be done since it's a huge building. I found the restrooms clean and employees friendly so this Amtrak station gets a thumbs up!

  • Melissa Davis

The station is beautiful, and there are plenty of places to sit with plug-ins for charging available. The staff is helpful and they are very organized. Bonus, we saw the Blue Angels practicing as we went in to board on Sat, 8/5/23. It was a nice send off.

  • David Wright

Rode an amtrak train from there, (sorry greyhound I will never be back to you.!!) The train is so much better and was even cheaper for my trip.!! ( bonus..!!) The people at the union Station are friendly and helpful and it's a nice old place to visit..!!

  • Gagan N Kangovi

Nice little train station. The staff was helpful the moment I even set foot in the station, asking for the help I needed. They helped me with transferring my ticket to an earlier train, and checking in bags. This place has a slight retro feel too …

  • MBM Hulk

My 1st time at a train station was a couple of weeks ago. I came from Jackson, MI to here. It was an awesome experience. This place is beautiful! The staff was friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. I love the architecture and the layout.

  • Elle R

This is a lovely train station. However, there is no business lounge for people who paid more for their seats and there’s absolutely no place to get anything to eat except for a couple of vending machines. Be prepared and bring your own snacks!

  • Tim Sheng

Very nice and safe station! We had an impression that the wonderful security guards contributed to the peace around! They should be praised, awarded and promoted for their contributions by the city council! You guys got good people in Seattle!

  • Keith Smolkowski

Had a couple hours to kill and found a fantastic art gallery on the 3rd floor. As a bonus, it has an enjoyable space to relax. The gallery exhibited a variety of pieces—oil, photography, sculptures—to view and a pleasant and helpful staff.

  • Stephen Mbah

Trip from Vancouver to Seattle went well without a hitch. The return trip had the scheduled train not show up due to "nature" as described by Amtrak staff. We got transferred to a bus alternative which affected my scheduled activities.

  • Nader S.

Convenient train station in downtown Seattle, was pretty clean overall not near the train tracks. Plenty of people but no issues while I was heading home. Train came in fairly quick & there was a worker there announcing the train info.

  • Melodee Schlosser

The architecture of this building is still stunning , simple and elegant but also functional in its simplicity and original design that is still very much alive and intact as a modern conventional transportation continues to evolve .

  • Lady HAKA

Gorgeous architecture ❤️ So great it's been persevered through the years. It was a really easy departure and arrival. Taking the train was a lovely change. Everything went very smoothly and all the staff was very helpful and polite.

  • Cheryl Goodall

Thank you Seattle!! We loved your station considering what we dealt with in Indianapolis. Very clean thank you nice bathrooms thank you and a security officer to keep out trouble. Again thank you very much. I will be back to visit.

  • Luis Puente

Bring your own food before you go on your bus ride. There are two restaurants opened, but you may want to bring your own snacks and bottles of water before you travel. This station is across the park from the light rail station

  • Delores Thomas

I love this , train station to security guard there are always warm loving hearing listen to you when you have a problem be there for you within me to reach to the right bus and to reach to the right place that you need to go

  • Praharsh M. Patel

Very accessible unlike their counterparts in northeast and midwest the station is built for practicality and easy access. It is very small as compared to any of the big union stations but serves its purpose very well.

  • Jeff Woiton

It was good to do train travel again, but somewhat marred by a surly redcap whose obvious bad day or job dissatisfaction tried to spoil my enjoyment. Some customer service training might not be the wrong idea.

  • Gregory Biddle

Bathrooms were dirty didn't open up at posted time 6 a.m. security was overwhelming and if you didn't fit the description as being a paid ticket holder they bugged you constantly even if they just checked you.

  • Andy Van Brocklin

Very enjoyable train stop. Felt for more than a moment that I was back in London. Train to Hogwarts, anyone? Friendly staff and people. Beautiful, restored, architecture. A great start to a Seattle visit.

  • Randy “Bigbenboys” Daniels

They really cleaned up the train station a few years ago. Now it's stunning. Staff helpful and friendly, very clean. A plus getting to ride the train. The station really transports you back in time.

  • Jeffrey Weiss

The renovations and restorations have returned the station to its original splendor. Removing the aging and discolored suspended ceiling revealed the gorgeous coffered and sculpted ceiling.

  • Wayne Remington

Such a beautiful and well kept Amtrak station. Makes you feel like you are going back in time when you get off the train and walk thru the doors. Staff has always been very helpful too!!!

  • Richard Corbett

Kings Street Station is an architecturally classic old building and clean inside. The staff were friendly and helpful. There were a few homeless people outside but didn’t bother us.

  • Stephanie Durham

Station was very clean first thing in the morning. My Amtrak train left on time. I felt secure walking from Embassy Suites to King Street Station alone at 7:30 a.m. in August.

  • j c

I've been catching trains here since I was a baby, but since moving away, I hadn't been back in awhile. It was awesome to see all the changes and updates, it's so pretty now!

  • Nick Werner

Beautiful train station, and easy to navigate. Checking baggage and boarding always goes very smoothly, never had any issues taking the train to eastern Washington from here.

  • mellissa hiatt

Very picturesque but the elevator literally has piss in it. Sad. Lots of destinations and modes of transportation can be accessed here. Still a beautiful piece of history.

  • Robert Ruenitz

Wonderful classic station. Clearly marked friendly staff, clean restrooms. I would take Amtrak ant day rather than wait on a corner in the rain for a bus to show up.

  • David Adams

This station was so clean. Spotless and the bathrooms were the same. You get all your questions answered and it was very easy to get in and out of the station

  • Jim J

Beautiful, rehabbed old real station. Works great as the downtown Seattle station. Short walk to Light Rail and bus. Streetcar is right outside the side door.

  • Erin Michelli

Well run and fairly easy to navigate for a first time riser on a train. Do not go over the 50lb luggage limit. You’ll have to take stuff out and carry it on.

  • Amy D

Great station located next to the light rail. I took the train from Seattle to Vancouver and they were more organized than the Canadian station

  • Chuck Harold

Cool historic place with beautiful architecture. Allow yourself extra time to get there due to downtown construction and nearby special events.

  • Christopher Young

This is a great way to get into Seattle. It is cheap and you don't have to find parking. It's a couple of blocks for the market on the water.

  • Randy

Nice station, classic Americana look. Might be a little small given the size of city. It was pretty full in here but beautiful and pleasant.

  • Val G

Beautiful, old, large train station! Helpful, friendly staff. Extremely small parking lot. Convenient, yet small drop off and pick up area.

  • elizabeth black

  • Russell Fascenda

Beautiful historic building, large waiting area. Too bad there is no food service, just two vending machines.

It's a beautiful station but I didn't feel safe there one bit. Scary people and a lot of homeless everwhere.

  • sandy

Lovely station recently renovated back to its original splendor. Does not have a first class lounge though.
