After the terrible service we had last night from Yafa Cafe, my family and I decided to give Middle Eastern food another try. And I am so glad that we did. This place is more a pub style setup…modern & spacious. They also stay open until 12:30 tonight (Saturday). I ordered the Shish Taouk platter & it was delicious. The rice wasn’t clumpy, the chicken wasn’t uncooked or burned & it was served with 2 types of salads & hummus. It was simply delicious! My husband & son had the beef shwarma platter which they also enjoyed. But what made our visit memorable was the young lady who served us. She was very pleasant & attentive. But most of all she knew how to keep customers like myself happy. We had noticed that their desserts (multiple pieces) were displayed in boxes & we were hoping to just get a slice but was told that they were only sold in boxes as is. Which we understood & had no problems with. We were quite satisfied with everything so that minor detail wasn’t a big deal. However, she came back & said that there was a box already opened in the kitchen & shared some mini pieces of baklava with us, on the house. Wow! The fact that she still found a way to cater to our craving blew us away. That’s going above and beyond. We felt appreciated as customers. We will definitely be back.

Unbelievably delicious! I wish we had tried this restaurant earlier. Wife ordered the Chicken Shwarma Wrap with fries. I ordered the Beef Donair Wrap with garlic fries. Ordered Falafal to share and Garlic Dip to share. Grabbed the Coconut box (coconut cake)Tried the Pineapple Barbican drink. As soon as we opened the garlic dip, the smell of creamy garlic filled the room. We almost ate it in the kitchen. It’s so smooth and creamy with a great garlic level. It’s whipped and you get lots of it for your pita. The Shwarma was really savoury, the Donair was amazing. The pita wrap for both was somehow soft and crispy at the same time. Incredible. My garlic fries were basically fries with garlic dip and that made me so happy due to the garlic dip being my favourite part of the meal. So freaking good! The star of the show was the falafal. Best we have ever tried. Crispy with a smooth texture on the inside. Comes with a little garlic dip too! Coconut cake was crispy and sweet! Quite good. Pineapple drink is delicious. If you have not tried Kings, you are missing out. This is my new favorite Crestview food joint and the prices are fantastic.

Amazing food! Best Western food we had in town. Everything so fresh and absolutely delicious. The felafel is the best we ever had! Manakeesh is amazing! And the plates presentation is so nice. They are doing an excellent job! The service was also great and very clean restaurant. We loved we can go with our son and didn't need to worry about smoke. I am so happy and grateful we have this amazing restaurant close to home, so we don't need to travel to South side anymore. Already spread the word to all our friend. Highly recommend!

Kings Restaurant in Winnipeg offers a great Middle Eastern food experience. The highlight of our meal was the Smoked Beef and Rice in Charcoal Oven Clay Bowls. Accompanying the main course were the hummus and baba ghanoush, both bursting with authentic flavors. The hummus, along with the smoky baba ghanoush, were delicious, especially when enjoyed with pita bread. The staff was attentive and helpful, and we were well taken care of throughout our meal. To quench our thirst, we enjoyed the refreshing Barbican Pineapple and the Pineapple Juice with Basil Seeds, which perfectly complemented our meal. For those seeking great Middle Eastern food with friendly service, I totally recommend Kings Restaurant!

I'm not going to lie. We were a bit worried when we went in at 6pm on a Sunday and the entire place was empty. As our first time there, we didn't know what to expect but there were a lot of 5 star reviews. I immediately assumed that the reviews were fake but we decided to order anyways. Wow! It was absolutely delicious! Two of us had the Chicken Shwarma Platters and one person had the poutine and it was excellent. If we're ever back in that part of town, we'll definitely be back.

Sorry, my pics are bunk...but we couldn't stop eating once the food came. I've been looking for a great Middle Eastern spot in town forever and finally.... Here and Joy Cafe. Top. Food: very clean, delicious, light. you can tell it's cooked with good ingredients and love. Cost: Very inexpensive. Washrooms and restaurant: Very clean. Ample parking, looks wheelchair accessible all around. Server was very friendly. Will definitely be in to update the pics, and to increase a few notches on my belt. A little far from the south side though....hopefully another location in the future :)

What do three friends do after a great movie let’s take a drive to the west side of the city try a restaurant middle eastern cuisine. Was it worth the trip, it sure was. The restaurant is clean & the service was friendly & fast. I started off with Blue Hawaii & they had Mango Peach drinks. They had cool pull tabs to open the drink bottles. Mmmmmm. We ordered three different meals. The service was friendly & quick. The meals were plentiful & delicious. I took half home & took to enjoy another meal. Our taste buds were exploding with delight. What an incredible feast. The flavours so intense and unique. Our food was at our table rapidly. The King platter and the chicken kebabs were so tasty and the red cabbage and beet salad with pomegranate seeds combined perfectly. The restaurant has moved to a new venue so is still being transformed. Highly recommend. Staff very attentive to customers.

Writing this review mid-meal because it's so good. We tried the chicken wrap and the king's platter. The wrap was delicious and it came with fries which were fresh and well seasoned. The king's platter was massive and so tasty. We also tried the mango mocktail. Everything was great with good portions and appropriately priced. The place was quiet when we came as it's a weekday, but i bet it gets busy. It's clean and spacious. Great service. Can't wait to go back

First of all, I went 30 min before closing time on a week day with low expectations. Boy was I wrong. This is the flavours of India meets Lebanon! Best that the middle East had to offer. I devoured my mixed platter until there was nothing left. Everything on the plate complimented each other. I would've been happy with just the rice, let alone the flavour packed meat, the salads, and the hummus. Hats off to the owner, you've earned my respect. I have dined at many many shawarma places but not quite like this one.

The first time I visited the place, I had lunch with my friend whom I haven't seen in ages, She suggested the place and I am glad we tried it. The food was very tasty and delicious. The lady serving us was very nice and friendly. The only critique I would have is the music being a bit too loud, I was chatting and catching up with my friend, I had to talk louder to compensate. Food was very delicious with fresh ingredients! Price was very reasonable and the display was also very nice. I ordered fresh carrot juice and it was made right infront of us! The server there was very kind and made sure we had every we needed! 100% going back! +second time I went there I did a take out. The staff is very nice. Loved the music playing although it was loud since we were entering an empty place. They turned it down when we came in. The water was warm so maybe chilled would have been a good idea. The meals were amazing. Beverage prices were very high but the food is wow. Please check this place out it is so worth it. We had kabobs, falafel and shawarma. The red cabbage salad is amazing. The fries r great. Will be going back for sure for dinner and hookah lounge.

Stopped in for lunch on a whim. Was my first experience at this establishment. Initially told the sever that I wanted my lunch to go, changed my mind while I was waiting. Was accommodated without hassle. Place was quiet, music was good, volume appropriate. Sever was friendly and informative. Chicken shawarma was hot and delicious. As I was eating my lunch the server brought me 2 salad samples to try, free of charge.

Absolutely delicious. Got the chicken shawarma platter. Huge portions. The chicken was so juicy and flavourful. That red cabbage slaw was money. Only downside is that it’s too far away from me :(

This is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants that we have tried in Winnipeg. Everything is made fresh from scratch and you can taste the difference.

For starters, i love Kings and their food. This was my first time dining in post covid and at their new place and it was not great. Good things.
