My daughter has been attending this school for 5 years. She started in SK and will graduate next year! Kingsley is more than a school. It's a family. The teachers genuinely love and care for my child and that feels amazing. My daughter isn't an "easy" kid. She came from a bad experience at public school with undiagnosed ADHD and very sensitive to transitions and change. She has medical challenges and sometimes has difficult days. The teachers always worked with her and saw through the "negative" behavior (and there was plenty!) And saw my daughter for who she really was. And I'm glad they did because she's a great kid and I never had to convince them of this. She's learned a lot of valuable life skills and it feels like a team helping her. Classes are always small. Learning is individualized, hands on and one on one. She gets lots of outdoor play every day. She's been exposed to French and music almost every day since she started. (The music program at Kingsley is superb!!) I selfishly have avoided leaving a public review until now because i wanted it to be the best secret in Etobicoke! Haha but I have recommended it privately to everyone for years. I highly recommend this little school with a big heart. It is a private school but quite affordable and worth the cost. Pros- the teachers, the music program, the cost, small, safe and happy classes and did I mention the teachers? Cons- it's hard when kids don't return and your child's best friends don't come back. Wish there was earlier before care options. Pandemic has had challenges and changes but I do understand it's not controllable.

As a parent of two boys who has taken a lot of time searching for the right school that blends a mix of academics and a focus on emotional intelligence both my husband and I made the choice to enroll our two young boys into Kingsley. Simply put we are very happy with our decision as it was the right fit for our boys and the collective impact we were hoping a private education would have on our children. Our rubric when investigating schools was to understand the organizational culture of a school, the teachers, the focus on academics but also character development and importantly learn about the importance a school community places on emotional intelligence. Our boys are both thriving as members of the school community and the teachers are absolutely wonderful. The exposure to diversity and inclusion starts right from the beginning and were very fond of the experience we have had so far. Highly recommend this school with a big heart.

I can't say enough good things about this school. Academics follow the Ontario curriculum and are enriched by a focus on character curriculum and emotional intelligence. We spent a year in the public system before moving here and the difference was significant. The teachers are fabulous, they are constantly enriching the learning experience and really understand your child. Teachers are present for the entire day, so free play (recess and lunch) is always moderated and any issues are dealt with quickly and effectively. The students respect each other and you see students from across all grades interacting. Before and after care is available for the year, just the days you need it, or on demand and is also run by teachers, providing children with a seamless, high quality day. There are numerous enrichment opportunities, including a first rate music program.

As an Educator, I take pride in my child's education, my child deserves the best!! And Kingsley is the best, the hidden gem of Etobicoke. The Principal and Teachers focus on student success. Their passion for teaching comes alive each day through their student centred lessons in all subject areas. All of Teachers admire each student for who they are and cultivate student's talents and strengths. This school is very fluent in using the 21st century competencies of creativity, critical thinking, communication and collaboration and the Ontario of Ministry Curriculum to guide students as they flourish into responsible citizens.

I've been teaching bands and private lessons here for many years and Rebecca Enkin has been teaching classroom music here for nine years. It is a wonderful, warm and caring, small school. My boys are in high school now, but they attended Kingsley for primary school and it was their very best school experience ever. The school is in a fantastic new space and is ready to expand, so book a tour with the best principal ever, Louisa Florio: grades JK through grade five and growing!

It’s a gem of a school and I highly recommend it! We’ve been with Kingsley for over 4 years now and loved every aspect of it. All that matters is your kids waking up each day excited to go to school to learn, create, collaborate and have fun together with the teachers and friends.
