To begin, I have mixed feelings writing this review and sharing my recent experiences. To be fair to both sides though, I will share my entire journey with Kit and Ace. My goal isn’t to deter people from shopping here because I do think they have great products and the majority of my experience with Kit and Ace was satisfactory. I had one bad experience with the company and they decided to not rectify my issues in a way that was acceptable for me. This has resulted in my decision to both express my disappointment and no longer support/recommend the brand. I discovered Kit and Ace a few years ago as recommended by an acquaintance when I was searching for attire options for myself and my groomsmen for my upcoming wedding. I like to try and be somewhat outside of the box, so I was looking for a more “custom” approach to our suits. Kit and Ace had just what I was looking for. I am a big Lululemon supporter and apparently the ownership/founding of Kit and Ace involves someone who used to work with Lululemon. Another reason why I initially felt confident about the brand. I bought a couple of sale items (pants and a suit jacket) to test out the comfort and quality. To fast forward, I was happy with what I was seeing, so I decided to go ahead with making the order for my wedding. I ordered 3 shirts, 3 pants, and 3 suit jackets (approximately $1650). This purchase was in the fall of 2021 which was a year prior to my wedding. Fast forward to October of 2022 when the clothing was worn for the first time. After this single day of wear, I noticed pulling and pilling of the fabric on the front and back of the shirt. The rest of the clothing was just fine. To me, a “high quality” shirt, especially at their price tag, should not be damaged after one wear. I wore the shirt one more time to a casual outing, but decided the damage to the shirt made it not something I wanted to be wearing. The next part is my mistake as I waited months to finally go to the store and address my issues with the shirt. It sat in my closet until then. This time period may be their main reason for deciding to not honour any kind of warranty/replacement/store credit. Again, from my perspective 2 instances of wearing the shirt still shouldn’t reasonably cause damage to something of “high quality”. Anyways, time for customer service. My experience at the Kit and Ace storefront in Calgary was always welcoming and pleasant. The staff were always helpful and kind when helping me with choosing clothing and trying things on. This stayed true until this past Saturday (May 20, 2023) when I took my shirt in to express my issues with the Kit and Ace staff. I went into the store and waited in line to be helped. Once I got the the front of the line, I was greeted by a staff member that listened to my concerns and offered to look for my order in their system for reference. I was soon told that my shirt did not qualify for any warranty, replacement, store credit, etc. Not satisfied with this, I requested to speak to a manager, but it turns out I was already speaking to this location’s manager. The reaction I had from this manager regarding my concerns could be described as cold and unconcerned. Usually I would hope for some empathy and understanding in a situation that I am clearly upset. Instead, the manager offered to use a fabric shaver on the shirt in an attempt to improve the damage. I accepted in the case that it might help, but it didn’t change much. I asked if there was anything else that could be offered to me and the manager said there was not. I left the store visibly disappointed. As soon as I got back to my vehicle, I decided to email the company directly in order to try and get further assistance. I received an email response today (2 days later). In order to not go on much longer, I was basically offered the same response from a different person. The only difference this time was that I was generously offered 15% off of my next purchase. At this point I can tell you that this offer felt like being kicked while I was already down. The end.

How I love this store! The people are so helpful, there are always great sizes to choose from, store is organized in a smart way from seasonal and then formality, and the colours are beautiful. Slightly higher prices, but matches quality and timelessness. Have I mentioned durable? The brushed Terry cotton is AMAZING. Washes perfectly and is a perfect weight to feel like it has shape, but also coziness. I have pjs, dresses, shirts, the long vest, and short and long puffers for the cold season’s go-to. May even venture to get the vest in a second colour since it is by far the most complimented and versatile I’ve docked one star only due to the muddy line between online shopping and store purchases. Online always gets advanced colour selection and some new styles before the store - however - they often run promo sales that switch pricing to final sales. This actually deters me from buying new items because I don’t want to be stuck with something I don’t totally love. I wish they would revisit this policy as it feels like the customer is not first to them when employing it.

We always have such a wonderful experience every time we go to this Kit & Ace location. They are very welcoming and accommodating- we have young children, and they are always so friendly to our girls and don’t mind them hanging out in the store while my husband and I shop. We love the quality and style of the kit and ace clothing and have yet to be disappointed in anything we have invested in. Everything is a classic style and very soft, high quality fabric, making everything very comfortable. Gordon assisted us with getting an email copy of our receipt as soon as I realized I didn’t have my receipt once leaving the store. Although the clothing is pricey, it’s worth the investment as our kit and ace pieces are worn more than any other articles of clothing in our wardrobes. We highly recommend this brand and purchasing from this location.

I really give this place 4.5 Stars if I could. The service and showroom are excellent however there is sometimes a shortage of fitting rooms during peak hours. Complimentary hemming is very nice and the staff are excellent to deal with. every single member of their staff seemed very knowledgeable about their product offering. They tell you about how to care for your garments at checkout. I really only would deduct that 0.5 star because the clothes are quite expensive for their materials. Though it is marketed as technical cashmere, it is usually a blend of cotton and polyester. I find the claim a tad misleading at the price point. I haven't had their garments long enough to comment on long term durability, however initial fit in cut as excellent. They seem to fit into an "athletic business casual" market which is awesome!

Kit and Ace has never disappointed! Since I was introduced to it, I have loved every garment I've purchased. I am quite tough on my clothes and the durability of Kit and Ace's fabrics are built to last! I am so proud to wear them. The service is undeniably my favourite part. Each time I walk into the Mount Royal store I am greeted by friendly and personable staff members. Shout out to the hiring manager for picking wonderful people to work at Kit and Ace and represent the brand. I have no issues with the people who work there! Overall, Kit and Ace Mount Royal has never lacked in terms of community events, community feel and leading with optimism. I look forward to my trips down and cannot wait for many more to come! :)

Be very careful if buying online. Although I love the item I bought decided to return it as it was too big and smaller sizes are sold out. I read the return policy and was totally okay with the 8$ return fee. When I attempted to return I was not allowed the option so I contacted support and was told the item was final sale even though I paid full price!!??? No explanation was given but I assume it was because I used the 15% first time buyer code. My only option was to return for a 265$ gift card. When I tried multiple times to get more customer assistance with my query I was ghosted. I got the one reply saying it was final sale and that was it. Buyer beware!!

The staff at Kit and Ace Mount Royal were AMAZING in helping me find the perfect outfits for the spring and summer. They went above and beyond all of my expectations in assisting me with everything. They were honest, transparent, friendly, helpful and extremely attentive. I will absolutely be back again,a cannot recommend the brand and this store particular enough, they were incredible. Thank you Kit and Ace!

I wear their clothing every day to commute back and forth to the office, and I'm still able to wear it all day in a corporate setting. I had a small issue with a pair of pants and Gordon went above and beyond in his customer service. The overall experience and customer service is excellent, and they are super open to any feedback from someone that uses the gear year-round for the intended purpose.

Helpful staff, though Store design, product innovation, quality, don't match the premium upcharge for garments. I don't support fast fashion, though this outlet is a vanity shop for the "elite" that buy into their ethos of bettering the community with simple Post-It Notes. I welcome higher management to have a conversation as per their business model.

This amazing retail store is so much more than ultra comfortable and luxurious feeling clothing made from technical cashmere. It isn't just about the super friendly and helpful staff. The team here is ultimately focused on bringing people together and creating meaningful relationships. A refreshing gem in a world of economics rules all.

The quality is top notch. You shouldn’t really marry a brand when it comes to clothing, but if you like to just have small number of clothes that are very high quality, rather than having lots of cheap clothes, then this place has some things that will really shine your wardrobe. I’d label Kit & Ace brand as comfy and stylish.

What an amazing shopping experience! The staff was really friendly and knowledgeable about product. They were quick to help find sizes, fits, colours, etc to accommodate your needs while managing other customers with grace. I love their community feel with a weekly bike ride to a local brewery!! I’m so pleased with the Burrow turtleneck that I got for my daughter. The top is incredibly soft and the cut is so flattering. The friendly staff at the Mount Royal location were very helpful, in particular Elisa who went out of her way to accommodate my request! Thanks, I’ll be back!!!

Large showroom store with really friendly staff. I was surprised by the size of the men's offerings which was quite extensive for tops and bottoms. The staff were very knowledgeable of the products and could answer any question. Complementary hemming was also available!

Service is always fantastic and they are constantly asking what they can do better. Clothes are a bit expensive, especially considering they are mostly synthetic fibres, but are high enough quality to be mostly worth it.

The staff are attentive and helpful, the clothing is soft and high quality, however, the price point is very high for what the product is at full price. They do have some amazing deals on at the moment though!

I spent my time mostly with Courtney and she was absolutely fantastic and patient. I have two pieces from their commuter line and so far they’re great. The shirt is especially wrinkle resistant which I love!
