EDIT: Amazing customer support and reassurance that the issue has been noted and addressed. Not even 5 minutes after posting the initial review I got a call from San at Kita dental, they informed me that the dentist I saw no longer practices at Kita dental!! I am leaving this review here as it is still my experience however I am satisfied that they have taken action to stop others from having the same experience. My initial 1star review is below. Horrible experience a year ago:I left in pain, crying and never wanting to go to a dentist again, they made me believe I had no hope for my teeth so they could charge me for services I did not nee. They oversold the damage to my teeth, terrifying me for no reason which sent me into a depressive spiral. I have finally had a second opinion(different dentist office) and am disgusted by how much kita dental exaggerated the work I needed done. They quoted me $10,000 for multiple surgeries I would need immediately; after getting a second opinion most of these suggested treatments were unnecessary and not likely to even resolve my teeth issues. They also told me (21yr old) I couldn’t come back without a parent claiming I was too erratic to handle my own medical information which further scared me and also made it impossible to check if what they had told me was the correct as they refused to give me all the details. I will never go back here and recommend some changes to the staff or level of patient care if U don’t want to traumatise more patients.

I booked with Kita Dental as I was having significant pain in my wisdom tooth, I believed the tooth needed to come out as the gum had began forming/pressing against the tooth. I arrived at Kita, was given an X-ray and they advised me that the tooth could come out, but there was also a high chance my face be “numb” for 30 years, as it was close to the nerve. After that information I just agreed to have my tooth cleaned & the wisdom tooth looked at further as they believed the clean would fix most of the pain. I was then giving local anaesthetic (3 times) and yet during the entire clean & scrub I could feel everything in that area, it was extremely painful & created more pain that I originally had. After the procedure, I was told be Dentist Boon to take “lorazepam” next time I come to see him as I was “anxious” which I thought was highly inappropriate. I have just recently seen another Dentist who advised me that there is no way any Quality dentist would advise that the “clean” would do the job & it is highly obvious this tooth needed to be removed. Very disappointed in my experience with Kita Dental, the entire experience seemed highly unprofessional.

Thank you to Kita Dental for seeing me last minute when I was suffering from terrible pain which felt like tooth ache in every tooth. I have never experienced this before and haven’t slept for few days and missed a couple of days of work due to lack of sleep. Both Dr Kent Boon and Dr Fiona Dang were very gentle as I am a very nervous patient. Luckily Dr Kent Boon was able to identify the origin of my aching which turned out to be a jaw issue due to high stress. He saved me from unnecessary dental work, as pain was in every tooth. Thank you so much to both doctors for being patient and understanding, and most importantly gentle as dentists are very stressful experience for me. They also had amazing Therapists for kids next door and we enjoyed listening to their wonderful singing voices!! Overall very lucky to see these professionals.

I found Kita Dental on Google and decided to give them a go as my wisdom teeth were causing severe pain. Dr. Kent was very informative, which made me feel comfortable in going ahead with two wisdom teeth extraction (one tooth being a minor surgery). Having never had any major dental procedures or tooth extractions previously, I was quite nervous, but Dr. Kent and the team were extremely professional and made me feel very calm throughout the procedure. The procedure was painless and Dr. Kent was more than happy to pause to give me a break or additional anaesthetic if I needed it. They were also kind enough to check up on me a few days post extraction to make sure that I was healing well. It was certainly the best dental experience that I've had, and I will be going back to Kita Dental for any/all future visits. Highly recommend.

Had an appointment with Dr. Kent Boon for a dental cleaning and examination, and the bill amounted to $471.50. 1 The dental cleaning lasted only 10 minutes, and despite repeated confirmation from the dentist that it was sufficient, I had concerns about the brief duration. The dentist's technique was good though, and the procedure was relatively gentle. 2 Dr. Boon took X-rays and used expensive cameras to capture photos of my teeth. However, they declined to provide electronic copies of the X-rays and only allowed me to take pictures by using my phone. 3 I appreciate the dentist's professional knowledge, but when discussing the treatment plan, it felt somewhat sales oriented. They were reluctant to provide a estimate and required repeated requests before disclosing the pricing. 4 The overall maturity of the team seemed lacking.

There are dentists that can fix your teeth. Then there are the dentists that can do so gently with great skill and experience. Kita dental does this, but what sets them apart is doing so with a level of care and empathy not often seen in the dental industry. A breath of fresh air!! This is a family run place, and in a way you feel their warmth from start yo finish. They take their time to explain what is going to happen, to answer questions and generally center the visit around you as a person - not a slab of meat to be prodded and poked. At all times, pricing and works to be done were made completely transparent, and consultative rather than pushy. The friendliest, gentlest experience at a dentist I’ve had. I never would have imagined that I would describe a dental visit like that! Highly recommended.

This has been my best dental experience ever! I highly recommend Kita Dental and will be bringing my family and friends. Key stand outs: 1) Dr Kent took the time to educate me about decay and the phases and visibly showed me where on my scans they were. He also was able to show me the key areas on my teeth that I need to focus brushing as they were more prone to build up 2) Dr Kent and Sam were very transparent in providing a treatment plan and quote, they did not pressure me to make a decision but instead provided information for me to consider 3) Sam took the time to explain what the cleaning entailed and the technology/methods used. This was so interesting and provided me great assurance. 4) the customer service was amazing- both brothers are so lovely 5) clinic is super clean and modern!!

I’ve been to Kita Dental more than 6 times in the past July and August to remove my wisdom tooth & also to do a root canal. The decoration was very relaxing and every doctor/assistant I’ve met was super kind, helpful and efficient. They’ll always give me a pair of sunnies to protect my eyes, and on the wall there’s a tv playing some documentaries of the grand mama nature. If u’r nervous you’ll be given a bun jellyish toy (could be 2 buns sometimes) so you can relax even more. All the doctors care extremely about how you feel, they make sure that there’s minimal sore/pain, they‘ll always tell you what’s the next step, and they’ll explain what to do after all the treatment with the most patience. A great appreciation to Doctor Kent, Doctor Melody and Doctor Fiona and all the staff members!

I found my forever Dentist! My first visit to Kita didn’t disappoint: Kita has a very modern and fresh aspect upon entering (super shmick and brand new facility) and Sam gave me such a warm welcome upon my arrival. Kita’s online commitment to non judgemental dental can be felt and I was very comfortable and even shared a few laughs with this great team. Fiona and Sam were both friendly, gentle and professional. Fiona has an extensive knowledge and has a great way of explaining what’s needed and how things work procedurally. This duo of dental awesomeness are an amazing and talented team. I really enjoyed my first visit to Kita and plan on returning in future for all of my dental work.

If you want a kind, gentle, thoughtful and inclusive dentist, go to Kita. I have a lot of anxiety around dentist visits and the brothers at Kita were incredible. They did everything possible to make me feel comfortable and accomodate an anxious patient. On top of the actual dental work (which was great), they also believe in informed financial consent and walked me through the cost breakdowns for the future treatment I needed, even checking how much my health fun would cover so I knew exactly what to expect. I highly, highly, highly recommend Kita Dental. I picked them at random but Im definitely a lifelong customer now.

I attended Kita Dental because it was one of the few dental clinics that would accept HCF that had an appointment within a week. Kita Dental is genuinely the nicest dentist I have been to. The waiting area is clean and doesn’t even feel like a dentist so you feel calm and relaxed. Dr Kent and Sam (assistant) were both so caring. At each point they told me what they were doing and why (never had this before) which made me feel very relaxed and cared for. I would thoroughly recommend this practice and have decided that this will be my dentist, even though it’s a 50 minute drive for me.

Brilliant service and very reasonably priced. I woke up with a toothache at 6am on a Sunday morning and was so lucky enough to find this dentist. I was able to book online and was being treated by 9am. Unfortunately I had to get a root canal but they were so helpful and supportive. They explained all my options clearly and we able to treat me right away. The follow up appointment was quick and easy. I will definitely be going back to them as my regular dentist from now on. A friend had suggested Kita Dental to me so I went in for a check-up & clean and was not disappointed! Their location next to the station was convenient for me, so I didn't mind the travel from Earlwood. The one drawback I had was that they don't provide BUPA covered services, which meant no fees waived unfortunately!
