I phoned the store to ask if they had an item I needed (light projector for my baby’s room). The man advised me that they had the item in stock. Upon arrival, I asked a female worker where I could locate this item. She kindly requested the item number, from the website. The item was located in the party section. I headed over to the party section and could not find it. I then asked another worker about the item. She too could not find the light so she advised that she would look in the back and return to me. I stated that I would wait for her in the party/ baby section. I waited for 15 minutes and she failed to return. Whilst waiting, I found a different light that I was considering. I walked over to where the cash registers are located, only to find that worker standing there with clothing items being held. As soon as she saw me she walked over to me and asked me for the item number on the website. By this point I was furious. Not only did she lie to me and fail to return to advise about the item, she completely disregarded me and continued working and helping other customers. Another worker stated that she would go look in the back. By this point, my husband had phoned me and told me our baby was crying and restless, they were waiting for me in the car. The worker took her time and another 15 minutes had passed. I was so angry that I bought the other light and was going to leave. As soon as I pain, the first worker returned with the item. I took it off her and asked for an exchange. A male worker advised that I needed to walk all the way to the other end of the store. By this point I had enough and needed to go. I bought the second item and left with two lights instead of one. When I got home, the light was damaged and broken. I am appalled at the service I have received. Instead of being in the store for 5-10 minutes, I was there for approx 50 minutes. What an absolute disgrace.

When we finally got her attention and asked to be served, she barked "wait one second!" There was a lady in front of us who had told us she was waiting quite a while, when the female finally casually came out to assist her the lady had asked for a refund, the female at the service desk threw the money at her not once but twice because she couldn't be bothered to actually listen to the lady's request of refunding everything but instead insisted that she go to the registers to pay for what she was trying to refund. She huffed at her when she finally understood the lady's request and threw the money at the lady. When it was my turn pick up my online order, she huffed because she had to go back to the store room. When she came back with my order, she dumped to bags on the bench. I asked if i could check my order to be sure if it was all there, her reply was "yea whatever, just move" and pushed my order away while she yelled out who's next . As I continued to check my order, she grunted at me and looked extremely annoyed at me. The girl just looked like she just couldn't be bothered and her attitude was less than desirable. She couldn't be bothered to say can I help you, please or even thanks. Beyond bad service and without a smile!

Treated terribly by the security at the exit. I handed over my shopping bag as asked and told the guy that I had made to separate transactions and both receipts were in the bag. He looked at one receipt and then said to me "where's the other reciept" I replied they're both in the bag (like I had already told him). He then stood there and handed me items from the bag instead of just reaching for the receipt which you could clearly see. This was extremely frustrating as being heavily pregnant, I couldn't really manage to hold everything and the overfilled bag. He just said this is your stuff you have to hold it and shoved it into my stomac. He looked at the receipt and jammed some things back into the bag, but everything I was handed would no longer fit. I had to carry the other stuff out separately as they no longer fitted into the bag, he didn't even put the receipt back into the bag, or hand it to me, I had to physically take it from him. I wouldn't come back here again because of the extremely rude security guard.

If Kmart is going to profit and encourage customers to come back, the good experience must lay on CHECKING OUT EFFECTIVELY AND EFFICIENTLY as they are mostly self-served. Kmart needs to place some trust in its ordinary citizens who are honest and appreciative of Kmart's product offerings; these people do the right thing and have no intention of stealing whatsoever. We don't need to be punished because of a select few who are not willing to pay. Product offerings are exceptional, staff work hard to ensure stock and tidy up, some may be impolite to customers but nevertheless it's the checking out that matters too!

We ordered a 12 dinner plates, 12 small plates, 12 bowls and 12 mugs from kmart online. It was shipped from Kmart bass hill, in a catch.com.au box (a new partnership). Nearly all of the plates were broken as they were not packed properly. The mugs were missing. Apparently they may turn up later (up to 14 days after order). I have returned the damaged goods to my local Kmart at Campbelltown, and the ladies there were shocked as to how the box had been packed. The plates were barely wrapped in a thin corregated cardboard which clearly offers no protection to glasswear. There was no FRAGILE tape on the box either. The box was thin and everything almost fell out of the bottom when picking it up. Someone PLEASE teach the the staff how to pack breakable items. This is the 2nd time I have received broken goods from kmart online. I won't be ordering breakable items from the online store anymore.

Whoever packed my home delivery order needs to be fired! There was absolutely no packaging to protect my items, they were just thrown into a box that was overkill big for the amount ordered and the items were rattling around in the box as the delivery guy handed it to me. They left a security tag on one of the singlets which are close to impossible to remove from home. I get delivery because of a physical disability that makes it impossible for me to browse in stores so unfortunately I have to rely on the staff to do their jobs properly in order to not make my life harder. I called the store to try to come to a resolution but for 30 minutes no one answers the phone! The store manager needs to make sure there are sufficient staff to answer calls as being disrespected with a home delivery order is stressful enough without having to repeatedly phone the store to address the issue!

Great staff, store is always clean & maintained with prices always being updated & accurate with stock placed correctly throughout the store when I visit. I would highly compliment & recommend Zara for a more managerial role in the store, Zara was at the customer desk up the back today, she went above & beyond to assist me locating an item that was lost, during this she had to multitask as the store was busy & answered all questions chucked her way, she had in depth knowledge of the policy’s & the system she was using & she also ensured that I was looked after with all other shopping needs, would recommend this store for there amazing staff like her. Will come here instead of Bankstown now for her efforts, it really showed compassion to help people

Very clean and well organized Kmart however, Stock availability is always an issue for most products that I'm looking for. Few occasions i had to return to Kmart Bass Hill after purchasing clothing items because they have left the security tags on a few pieces of clothing. Very frustrating. I was at Kmart Bass Hill yesterday and I had a cart of mixed items (small and bulky) Roughly 20 items. They had all checkout lanes closed. There was only 1 worker assisting all customers at the self check out which was a disaster. My items would not fit on the baggage area so that forced me to keep calling the worker over several times. Hire more workers would ya. Very disappointing and I would not go back unless they have more workers on the floor/checkout.

So, my click and collect order for a few items got cancelled automatically despite the items being 'in stock' according to the website. When I contacted the store, first they didn't pick up. When someone picked after several attempts she didn't have any clue and said would transfer me to the service desk. The phone kept ringing, and no one answered. I called again several times, no one answered. Unprofessional and disappointing. Such a time waste and so frustrating. Why did you introduce click and collect with such an unprofessional and faulty system? Orders getting cancelled with false information on email 'upon customer request' is ridiculous to begin with. And the treatment afterwards even worse. No solution being provided. Appalling!

Bad service. I bought a mirror and when i unboxed it, it was cracked within so i have been trying to call the store for a refund the 4 DAYS!! and they still have not answered my calls. I have been calling for minimum 15 MINUTES each time and they do not answer. I thought maybe it’s busy so i’ll call at a different time but still, they had still not answered so i had just hung up as it had been half on hour of me sitting on the phone waiting for them to pick up. Also When i went into the store to buy the mirror, the girl at the cashier didn’t care that i was struggling to scan my mirror by myself and kept texting on snapchat on her phone. I called for her to come over and she said “one moment” and kept texting.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Went today to collect an order. Waited over 15min at the service desk for an employee to turn up. No “sorry to keep you waiting”. Collected my order and noted the package looked smaller than it should. Opened it to find incorrect sized dog coats (I ordered xl got s) showed the girl it was incorrect. No attempt to rectify order or help me locate correct size, she simply refunded me (without telling me) just handed me a receipt and said “heres your refund” What an absolute waste of my time. Kmart needs to do better than this.

Everytime I order online from THIS particular Kmart, my items either arrive damaged or are sent back before even being delivered due to damage. After this I am usually offered a refund and told to repurchase the items that I want and again pay for shipping. This is unfair and I believe a replacement should just be sent. Upon opening the package, it is not packaged well, no bubble wrap and just a piece of tissue paper, no wonder my items keep getting damaged. Someone PLEASE teach these people how to pack.

I had been three times in the last week and half and there is nobody cleaning the trolleys, there is not hand sanitizers at the entry of the store and if you actually wanted to clean the trolleys there a couple of girls pointing to a bottle with some liquid and some paper towels those are inside the store only if you request meaning they're doing nothing to protect the customers I called this morning and no one answered the phone and when they did they were very rude, hope to see some changes soon

My activewear tights came to me with the security tags still left on. Trying to call your store to discuss this and no one seems to be available to answer the phone ? As someone with a tight schedule, I order online to help with this, and by the looks of it this isn’t the first occasion security tags have been left on. Now I need to go to my local store and prove I didn’t steal them to get the tags removed. Going on 10 min of ringing now :’)

This place has excellent service and the staff are very friendly, helpful and attentive. I heard a lot of great things about this place. I had to see it for myself and I was not disappointed. It wasn't very busy at the time I visited (2pm) and there were plenty of places to park my car. A delightful experience and I will definitely be going back. Cheap prices Huge selection of toys, clothes and homewares.

First they cancelled my click&collect order right after a day. Their reason is due to no stock in store. So i checked the exact product on website and it says its in stock. So i gave them a call and they asked me if I cancelled it. Turns out it is in stock and they just decided to cancel mine somehow. I ordered from bankstown instead. hopefully they don't play "who cancelled this time?" on me.

Good store layout etc, though have recently been irked by the attitude of some staff. When I asked a question, the response of one staff member was "Nutt" rather a "no, perhaps try at the counter" - I got a response akin to a neanderthal. Staff at the cash registers are disorganised, never paying attention and last time I was there, the staff member was chatting with a pair of her friends.

Put a laybuy on months ago, went to pick it up an they had sold it to someone else or lost it, offered to refund me the money, lady at the counter didnt care at all, just wanted to get back to talking with her bf! So rude an disrespectful. Didnt offer to find the items again, once refunded i walked around an found %90 of it! Absolutely useless! Wasted 4 hours of my time.

I had a trampoline delivered today and some parts were missing when we started to assemble it. I called up the Bass Hill store around 5.30pm and spoke with the manager and he spoke to the couriers and arranged for the missing parts to be sent tonight. They have just arrived at 7.45pm! I went there just for the menswear but there wasnt much styles of clothes for men it was kinda empty the eacks didnt have many sizes too choose from either but everything else was good beauty womans wear had alot too choose from so my main reason for three star was it was short alot on what they had too offer for the boys/men..

My online order was packed in Bass Hill, but the person packing it just chucked the fragile ceramic pots inside the box without any wrapping for protection. Obviously, it arrived broken! An excellent store. They have great products at good prices [e.g. I recently bought a pair of polaroid sunglasses (the only type to wear when you are driving) for $15. They are $30 or $50 anywhere else ]. They also have a "Cheapy counter" where all the end - of - run stock is sold for just a few dollars

It's ok but the only problem is there are so many staff on duty but there are none on the registers they expect you to do the self serve all the time, they and other departments chains should give a 5 % discount if you go to self serve on the checkout because you are doin the employees jobs for them.

I have not been to Bass Hill shopping center for at least 3 years since Covid. The place has new lighting that brought life to the interior and it is very lively. I love the newsagent and the best sushi in the area. Kmart is always good with affordable toys for the kids and t-shirts for this dad!

The Muslim female at the customer service desk is as rude and disrespectful and repulsive as they come. Making a complaint about it to the store manager doesn't seem to be doing anything. I'll be going to a different Kmart from now on, even if that's gonna take me an extra 20 minutes of driving.

I’m not gonna lie, Bass Hill Kmart is the best in Sydney. It’s big, clean and honestly a pleasure to shop at. The only downside I would say is the checkout speed, it’s not terrible but more employees on hand to help with the often unresponsive machines would be great to see.

Located on ground level with plenty of car parks infront of the entrance. There wet wipes provided at the entrance and trolley doesn't cost! Very similar layout with the rest of Kmart stores in Sydney. Fully stocked up and easy to shop.

Best time to go to Kmart is Mon-Fri 11am-2:30pm and then from 8pm onwards..As you can imagine with Woolworths and Aldi being in the Plaza it attracts alot of customers and at times is sold out of new arrivals regardless of what category.

Best K-mart I've ever shopped in (including US stores). Shop there all the time. It's huge, has friendly staff, and is incredibly tidy. Especially compared to the Bankstown store, which is frankly, a train wreck.

Generic Kmart store. Stock levels seem to be good. Staff are friendly and helpful. Has all the Kmart essentials you need for home and the car.

I enjoy shopping at Kmart bass Hill as I tend to find more stock here than any other kmart store. Staff are also friendly and helpful.

Easy to find items. Staff knew where an item was. Good to see a few staff around tidying shelves. Most staff are young and helpful

Self checkout machines inadequate with glitches and not enough staff to oversee the machines very frustrating and poor experience
