Never bother being polite & smiling with a greeting to the person at the door. They will STUPIDLY watch you put all your purchases through & then ask to check your purchase bags. The fact that you just showed you paid by example is not factored into their brain. They will although not ask to see anyones bags who are exiting without purchasing & who are the ones trying to steel without paying. Common sense is not part of their understanding. Back to the don’t smile or be polite upon entry…. I find if I walk straight in without acknowledging them I don’t get stopped (after purchasing) but if I’m polite & treat them with respect as people l am stopped on my way out. This is ridiculous to say the least The person helping us poor customers whose (register) decides to stop & you need to ask for help, l don’t know why they bother going to work… rude, unfriendly. Every time I go into Kmart Footscray, l go in a happy person & come out hating the staff which wrecks my day. It always reminds me of why I next to never go to Kmart. Bad form Kmart, you people have some growing up to do

Absolutely terrible click and collect service. I drove around the block 5 times looking for signage to point me in the right direction where collection is from and there was none. I called the mobile number 10+ times and no answer and it was then turned off on me. I called the store number and it kept ringing with no answer. I then asked some coles employees if they knew where to go to collect and they told me up through the secure parking in the back left corner and ill see some bollards. There is barely any signange and if I wasn't told where to go by the coles employees I wouldn't of found it. I then find where to park and there's a sign that says collection is closed between 1:30pm and 2pm and another one that either says until 2:10pm or 2:15pm. I've was driving around for 20 minutes and I was left sitting in the car for 45 minutes before I was approached by staff at 2:17pm. I received my order at 14:24 which made it a hour ordeal. Customers everywhere standing around and waiting in cars trying to collect.

Had the absolute pleasure of the BEST customer Service experience l have EVER experienced from WENDY at the Service Desk, Kmart Footscray. I was so impressed, l was compelled to write this review. Wendy went above and beyond to help me with an issue in relation to a bicycle purchase, and she did so with such efficiency and absolutely immaculate customer service and followup skills ... keeping me informed at every step of the process. I cannot record an instance in my lifetime where l have had this extreme quality and high level customer service expertise and liaison, as l had from Wendy. Wendy was beyond outstanding in helping me and is an absolute credit to the Kmart Footscray store and she exemplifies what true and exceptional customer service is. THANKYOU Wendy! I deeply appreciate your help and incredible efficiency. You made my Christmas. Kmart Footscray management need to have you on the highest pedestal, for all to see, praise and follow. This Kmart is one of the worst ones I have been to. Layout is hard to navigate, while there are self serve checkouts near the door, the instore signage indicates you should pay in the centre of the store, where the checkouts are not staffed. You can't see where the service counter / click and collect is from the store entrance. With noone at the door to assist. When I arrived to the service counter, there was already 3 people waiting, after 5 mins of waiting I went to find a staff member who told me I should have pressed a button at the counter for service (this button was behind the protective screens, and was not accessible by customers) After my Click and Collect was brought out, I asked if everything was in there, the staff member told me it was, but didn't check with me at the counter. After arriving home I discovered about half of the order was missing despite labels on the bag showing everything.

Worst click and collect experience. SocialQ (the website to book for a specific time to pick up order) did not specify where in the carpark to meet. Barely noticed the sign at the ticket station saying that its on level 3 next to the lifts. Waited a long time to just collect my order. Upon receiving my order the product was not to my expectations so I wanted a refund. The worker informed me that I have to lodge a return form and book a time again. I wanted to do it then and there only for the website to inform me that I have to print the form and have to book a return time again. Upon getting out of the car park security guard kept telling me to pay for parking $3. I constantly told them that I only came here for a click and collect order and the worker informed me it was free parking. After a while, I managed to get out of the car park with no charge to my parking

I mean, let's be honest. What isn't there to love about Kmart? Need a new wardrobe because your washing machine is busted? They got you covered. Want to restyle your home? They got you covered. Need to cook, clean, game, sleep, get a present for someone or yourself, grab a snack, make pies? They got you. They're like the best friend who's house you can walk into without knocking and they'll be happy to see you even though you hardly message. I mean, they'll make you check in because they're legit like that. But it's great. Plus free parking if you spend $15+ there or at Coles. Just save your receipt.

Kmart website shows that the Footscray store has low stock for an item I'm looking for and I've been trying to call them to find out if they actually have it. In the past the stock levels on the website have not been accurate at all and my trips to the store have been a waste of time. The phone has been ringing for 45 mins and nobody has answered it yet. That was enough time to watch an episode of something and I'm still waiting. And this is just before the call has been answered, I can only imagine how long they will take to actually answer my query...

Urgh! Who's responsible for cleaning all the spills in this joint? Apparently, they leave it to the wolves, because as I was circling the children's bicycle section, I caught a nasty puddle of oil in the middle of the aisle and biffed it hard on the hard floor and faceplanted on the hard floor. My tooth is gone. My kids are gone (unrelated). Everything hurts and I would be considering a lawsuit if everything didn't hurt so bad. Spending this next week in a hospital bed hooked up to a buncha tubes. THANKS KMART! Watch your step.

Worst click and collect exp ever! Firstly the app directs you to the wrong address, nowhere near the shopping complex. Then you go in the car park to pick up as directed and there is zero signage on where you actually need to go. The when you click arrive, it's ask for a bay number. I put it in but apparently is meaningless. Then I gave my name and order number 4 times. Still took 30minutes for them to finally hand me the package. Such a waste of everyone's time! Go to a different Kmart

I had a great store expierence, This particular Kmart was well stocked with all the essentials. All the great buys were easy to find and clearly price pointed screaming out their great value. The store team were friendly and willing to help even though they seemed busy to complete their tasks. Finally the store general maintenence and general housekeeping was decent, with only some general trading time mess which the team were on top of. Extremely happy with this particular Kmart!

Never have had this bad experience before. The female cashier Kenzie(?) may have just got dumped. She was showing the worst attitude to everyone, and was just throwing the items into the bag without even checking that there are no tags intact(I had to remind her there was still an intact tag on one of the clothes set and she took it out then). We gave her cash and she asked if we gave exact instead of counting them herself. It was the worst cashier experience I’ve ever met.

Saw some people shoplifting in the middle of the store, went to 'security' guard at the front to report the incident that was still occuring. The guard tried to play dumb and ignore me, then I kept explaining to him that there are currently people trying to shoplift inside the store he then continued to try and brush me off and ignore the situation. And now I hear that the stores have facial recognition I side the stores to prevent shoplifting?? What a joke.

This Kmart is fairly well stocked considering it is tucked away in the lower floor of the building. You get free/discounted parking if you buy something from here and validate it at the parking machine. Staff are friendly. There is a good range of products. As with a lot of other Kmart's you do end up walking out with stuff you had no intention on buying. The self checkout registers are good. In the middle of the store you will find the attended checkouts.

I was new to the town, and they thought that i was shoplifting because i TOLD the change room clerk that i was going to purchase and walk out with a 10 dollar t-shirt. New to Footscray, came from Dandenong, never have i had this bad of an experience in a convinence store, i know this may be due to a high number of thefts in the store but treating all of your customers as potential shoplifters is a messed-up approach, up your game Footscray Kmart.

As far as Kmart stores go, this one is fine. However, I always feel that it would be so much better if they had more staff on the actual floor to answer questions. If you have a question, you have to go right to the front at the information counter. I don't know why these big organisations don't simply employe more people.. It's not the fault of the staff who are there; they are doing their job fine, but there's not enough of them.

It's a great place to shop, huge variety. The staff all seem friendly & helpful. However it's a bad place for Mobile reception. I had an emergency call that try'd to come through to me while I was down stairs in Kmart about a week ago & every time I tried answering the call, it would cut off & when I tried calling back it said no Network coverage. That's the only 1 thing I was a bit disappointed with & feeling a bit frustrated at.

I placed an urgent order on 30th august. even after 24 hrs i still didn't get any email saying that my order is ready. I've been trying to call Footscray store for more than an hour now and there is no answer. Very disappointed in Kmart's click and collect services. Please be more attentive to customer needs and have a clear communication system. It's very disappointing that during times like this we can't get our items collected

Subterranean shopping is fun in Footscray Peaceful atmosphere below street level is so relaxing and invites you to shop without distractions, it is a unique experience. Incredible selection of really good quality merchandise. Multi level parking above and a Coles and small businesses at ground level including food and drink for light refreshments. Of course being in Footscray there's something for everyone.

Run down and bad customer service. The Kmart website said they had stock if a certain item...we then called about this certain item and were told they had 10 in stock. We arrived 15mins later and there was none of this stock in sight. They hadn't checked when we called and just went off the stock info on screen of computer. When we asked at service desk they said that their screen still said they had 10.

Always have a good experience here except the last two times the woman at the service desk has been rude. She shrugged when I asked for help to find something. Today, she barely acknowledged me and didn't look at me when I spoke to her. I think here is something wrong with her, as she is ridiculously rude. She shouldn't work in customer service, that's for sure. Also, no one answers the phone here.

Bought a cheap chair here that was actually kinda heavy and a really nice young guy carried it around the store for me, while I looked for screwdrivers; and then to the checkout. I didn't ask him, he just saw me dragging it around and offered to help. I felt really bad but he seemed super enthusiastic so I obliged. Pretty good service for what is probably his student job, should have got his name.

All kind of stuff under one roof. Great prices .. not crowded and no queue for check out... I purchased household items at great discounts and good quality as well. Kids toys for girls and boys also available. Kids clothing men and women clothing also available. Limited stuff related to cosmetics. Lingerie variety is also there and at great price too. Must visit for your daily need items.

For some unknown reason this store never has staff working the checkouts on the weekends, opting instead for the self serve checkout instead. This is a major error on their part as the self serve at this store in particular is very cramped and the machines often breakdown during use. When shopping here it is recommended that you choose off peak times and avoid Saturdays at all costs.

Could not find the item I was looking for In store and asked for assistance. Was told they should be “over there if we have them!!!” I explained I couldn’t see them. “We don’t have any then” I checked the website and they showed as in stock. “Oh. It is always wrong” I was told After lots of prompting they were able to find the item out the back. Bring back customer service!!

I don't believe 4 stars. Service is extremely poor with no staff to answer the phone. They just let the phone ring and 3 times i called layby a person picked up the call then just hung up with no word. Ill be filing a complaint. Floor staff look like theu dont want to be there either. If ypu dont like it then find another job and let someone who will be grafeful take your place.

Pls make sure you get the right customer representative to properly do the job of distribution instead of having the guard sitting there feeling reluctant to explain and serve while sending off that toxic vibe to customers. There's a huge distinction between being a customer representative and a watchdog!! Another guard from this outlet has similar attitude as well!!

It has reasonably priced stuff. I love how i can find everything here. The staff at the register can be rude sometimes as they doubted me for putting something in the sling bag i brought to the payment counter but it had its strand in it. It was so hurtful. Kmart in footscray must make their staff learn how to be courteous, 2 stars because of the experience.

Phoebe at the Service Centre went above and beyond in helping me print & organize my photos at the Printing Kiosk as it was my first time and I didn’t know what to do or how to print it but Phoebe made it so easy for me in helping me out. Will definitely come back for shopping for and more photo printing. Thanks Phoebe you are an amazing Soul! God Bless.

This store is quite large, but the shelves are often a bit bare of stock. The staff are helpful but very busy. It can take some time to get assistance. The queues at the tills are extremely long (see picture). Expect a long wait for both self-serve and staffed registers. You can park for free if you spend $15 or more at the Woolies upstairs.

Downstairs and hard to access, can not take trolley upstairs - broken escalator. Inconvenience to customers. Customer service is average and very little staff available for assistance. Good store setup and reasonable prices. Excellent prices on clearence items. Felt like not enough space in the store, due to the nature of the setup.

stood waiting for click and collect for over an hour, had a very bad system of doing things which slowed it down even more. i understand times are tough but simple organisation would have fixed this. also had to pay for parking because they made me stand around for so long. save your time and money honestly.

Kmart offers everything from home furnishings to electronics, toys, Mens womens and kids clothing to linen, kitchen appliances and even some hardware needs... all products sold are of reasonable quality compared to price, and as far as prices go you can't pass up giving Kmart a look... worth a browse...

Never had any issues when I went to shop pre covid but the online click and collect is horrible. They will contact you after 3 days of the purchase even though they say they will contact within 24 hours of purchase. And also most of the items from the order will be missing and you will be refunded.

Utter unprofessional service. Me and my kid were testing out some basketball before buying them and one employee told us to stop bouncing with a such attitude. Even the other customers also express concern on how bad the Kmart employee treating their valuable customers. Absolutely unprofessional.

Lower ground floor. If yr picking something up that you've already paid for, park, pickup, and then scan yr ticket at the car park machine - usually don't have to pay for under 15mins. If just over, use the intercom and let them know you were held up a bit in Kmart, usually they good about it

Clean, bright, and newly renovated. Staff can be a bit too social with each other to the point of neglecting customers a bit. No mobile reception as it's in the basement, good range of pretty cheap stuff. Open late which is handy, although Footscray can be a little hairy later at night.

Great store, clean and friendly staff. Although, the hell is with the checkout, just don't like the layout and the lack of actual humans on registers makes the checkout service slow. Phone reception is also non existent here because it's on an underground floor.

Things don’t change much here after 4 years: super wide stores, all kinds of varieties, hella long line for customer service, items getting chucked up carelessly or made a mess by someone. But staffs are friendly all the time, so that’s a big plus.

I live approximately 600mtrs away from Kmart Footsgray, I checked store & they had my product in stock. Not having the best of health I ordered & paid $10.00 for delivery. I was informed I should get it a week later. Not happy Jane.

They often have long ques at manned payment check outs. But discovered self service checkout yesterday which made my experience a lot swifter and more enjoyable. Cheap prices. Found some plastic free things. Always check the labels

Went lunch time large queue at both pay stations. I staff member trying to assist customers who were having trouble self serve about 4 people. Had to wait ages ...nearly walked out... you need a better system to handle peak times.

Great store, love the underwear section, cheap but good quality & beautiful colours in larger size bras - almost unheard of usually but always $100+ elsewhere. There's almost always reduced $2 racks too!

Nice well lit shop, with a great variety of things to buy. Most of the stuff is very affordable, and if you spend more than $15, you can park for free. As a side bonus there is also a Coles next door.

Just love this store. Such an amazing atmosphere and variety of goods at a sensible price. Such a stark contrast to the old Kmart and 100% more attractive than Big W which looks a bit tired nowadays.

Trollies are insane really hard to push because of wheel lock. No facility for click and collect zone to receive goods from out side.staff was good and help full.

Located under Ground , there isn't much mobile service. Usually only middle check out is closed only 1 staff available at the selfcheck at the exit.
