I purchased the four ring inflatable pool ($19) from KMart Indooroopilly, which holds a volume of 52 litres of water (weight 52kg when full). I blew it up and filled it with water. Come time to empty the dirty water and refill it, I discover the pool has no drainage valve. I contacted KMart customer service via email and requested a refund on the basis the pool is not fit for the purpose in which it is sold. I have my receipt and clearly cannot take the pool back to the store, as it is filled with water and can't be emptied, unless I slash it and destroy the pool. KMart's (Shaun, the Customer Service Team Leader) response... was to claim the supplier of this pool (BestWay Corp) advised them that the pool is easily tipped up to drain water and therefore doesn't need a drainage valve. Clearly a volume of 52kg is not possible to lift, unless you're a weight lifter! KMart outright refused to provide me a refund and in fact told me I am not entitled to one. BestWay Corp in this instance have failed to comply with legal requirements to meet product standards and all product laws and have been dishonest to KMart in their response. It is most concerning that KMart feels entitled them to absolve themselves of their legal obligations to me as a consumer. I'm now forced to waste time making a formal complaint to the ACCC for the compensation/refund I am entitled to as a consumer. Naturally, this review reflects my dissatisfaction with KMart Customer Service and KMart in general.

I had 3 items, went to the checkout and was confronted by a robot. I require a human being at the checkout. A staff member offered to scan them, she did so then walked away, then left me to pay. So the robot started to talk to me, giving me instructions. I left the goods and walked out. Hey, I know it's my choice. If I could shop elsewhere for the same products I would. I know its precious, lol, but I give my business to companies that employ people. It's one of the main reasons I go to aldi. I know when I buy from Kmart it's cheap and I also know the quality is pretty average. I will accept that, but a damn robot machine is not going to take my money! I have never used a horrid machine and I will go to my grave without ever doing so. I know, my loss.

I have been going to this Kmart store for years. I used to love shopping there, it was the only store that I would definitely visit whenever I went to this shopping centre. However, I find the new store layout extremely confusing (everything radiates from the centre of the store where the new checkout area is). Kmart used to zone their products extremely well and it was very easy to locate any items that I look for, but this is no longer the case. Now when I go into this store I spend twice as long in there not because I enjoy it, but because I feel completely disoriented and can't find what I am after. Shopping here is not longer a fun thing to do and I will not be going in there in the future unless I absolutely have to.

The attitude and behaviour of the nightfill team here at kmart indro is genuinely disgusting. Particularly the group of boys wearing hi-vis uniforms, they were aggressively walking through the store, masks down or off completely, swearing, knocking into people, and it was extremely uncomfortable. As someone who is immunocompromised, and thus takes extra precautions for my safety like going later at night, I did not feel safe. Also being a woman, I felt quite threatened around this group of intimidating men. This was a really scary and disappointing experience, and I hope for the safety and well-being of the community, that you call them out on this behaviour and educate accordingly.

Usually I love kmart but today I was very disappointed! I bought a printer and it didn't come with the usb cable that connects it to the computer (this printer is not capable of wireless either). You need to put a sign up on the shelf that says to purchase the cord separately. Buying the cord separately is not an issue - it costs like $5, what is an issue is not making people aware they need to buy it. I walked home with the printer and tried to set it up to then find put I had to walk back to the shop to buy a usb cable. Ridiculous.

Always like Kmart. Checked all Kmarts from the Gold Coast to Brisbane for the particular item on the Kmart website that we were after. Only one to have stock was Indooroopilly despite Robina saying they had stock which didn't exist when I drove there. Rang Indo and they put it on hold. Scary parking at Indo so asked best parking area and they were spot on. Told me the entry road and parking colour. Confirmed by phone before I left the Coast and item ready and waiting. Absolutely fantastic service. Top marks.

I don't like the idea of self check outs because you always have to call for help with the check outs it's no a very good idea for older customers they would prefer the customer service as I would because I like to get the proper service as you can talk to at indoorpilly there is no one on the check out for the service u have to go and do it your self I like to keep people in a job and don't get the self service check outs it doesn't matter what time of the day you go you have to serve your self

Love visiting Kmart, prices are always fantastic for very decent quality items. This store's staff have been very helpful each time I've visited too! Edit: Lost a star from me...I've placed an order for click and collect and it got cancelled/refunded on me. Reason was "Cancelled by customer request"...the item is actually out of stock according to the website now. I've been trying to call the store all day to confirm what happened but it's not getting through (just ringing).

Kmart is like a glorified dollar store these days. Sure, if you are happy to buy "Anko" brand products for cheap, have at it. Don't be fooled though. Kmart will keep display items on the shelves, even if the product is out of stock. An infuriating and lazy practice. The staff are nice enough, although you really only see 'em at the entrance and checkouts. It's not as if every department has a dedicated staff member. But then, it's not really a department store anymore.

came in looking for outdoor fairy lights and had the pleasure of dealing with izzy who went above and beyond. couldn't find what we were looking of at first but when she did she chased us up on the other side of the store to show us the products they had available. such amazing and happy staff although as we were checking out we were sadden to hear the way matt the manager was talking to the staff with such disrespect. not a good look.

Went into store looking for an item, went to service desk and asked the lady of stick was still available. She looked at image and advised that she had never seen it before, I had the SKU. Refused to look it up in the system and just said never seen it maybe it’s new. Went Kmart at my Ommaney and was served by a fantastic lady knew exactly where it was and even checked the SKU to make sure it was still available

My kids and I loved going to kmart but this new fit out is very confusing and unnecessary, everything is so hard to find, kids & outdoor stuff is less than what used to be, and seriously the entire store is almost fashion. And the check out counter like a maze inside a maze. Prehaps the management should Listen to their customers before they spend zillions of dolllars doing some meaningless upgrade.

Five stars for the excellent service from the young woman in charge of the fitting room desk on Easter Sunday who went out of her way to check stock databse for an item I wanted. And five stars to young Emily on the photo desk who helped me and was so patient when I was trying to create photos while tired and stressed for my Dad's room in hospital. Thank you so much. Above and beyond.

Usually quite good, last visit however when looking for help got met with the staff member asking another staff member 'ugh you can deal with this' and disappearing. Told me my click and collect was nowhere near ready(fair enough) then got a text by the time I'd walked out of the shop. I rang and cancelled it in the end. Great range of product but staff need some training in customer service.

Kmart Indooroopilly is the worst Kmart for counter service. There is never anyone behind the counter and they force you to use the self service machines which are literally the worst self service machines in the history of self service machines and everytime I shop there rather than the Mt Ommaney Kmart I leave feeling angry and frustrated.

Disappointed with the manager Matt, we explained we had been given the run around from stores looking for an item. His store had what we wanted, but it was a 25 min drive to the store. He would not assist and hold it, we risked the drive, hoping it would still be on the shelf. But on arrival the store had sold out. Very disappointed

My go to Kmart for sure! Always so neat and fresh. Friendly staff. Print my photos here all the time- I’m old fashioned like that. They just redid the layout of the whole place a couple months ago. Taking some getting used to. Quality of all the items is just getting better while maintaining that amazing pricing. Would recommend!

Pretty good as expected of a Kmart but tbh the previous version was better, the newer one is a bit of a hassle every time you leave, would prefer more convieniency for shopping. Also a lack in stationary and general decrease in quality of products over time. The management team seems a bit ridgid. Good for some handy shopping.

I accidentally left one of my bags with stuff I paid for at another shop at the self serve checkout, came back 5 minutes later when I realised what had happened only to find that my bag was stolen. Staff didn’t care at all and even refused to look at security footage which had the checkout I was at in clear view.

Kmart in Indooroopilly has recently changed its layout and now all items are not grouped together but just categorized (kids- has bikes next to and mixed with clothes) also it is harder to find anything as a result of too many isles.It is still cheap and once you memorized the layout it is easy to find items.

This is a great Kmart store. It's massive and has heaps of different varieties of products. Plenty of undercover parking which is free for the first 2hrs. If public transport is more your thing then there are buses that will drop you right a the front door and the train station is a 5min walk down the road.

Kmart is a great store cheap, quality items needed for every day living and use. They stock a large range of clothing, bedding, accessories, books, party needs and many kitchen items. They are affordable and have a great return policy and customer service. Don't forget to bring a plastic bag with you.

Was on hold on the phone for over 15 minutes with no answer. Tried calling again and pressing a different option but still no answer even to say "we are busy but if you don't mind holding we'll get to you" you would think that would be the bare minimum. Don't bother calling them for help.

Always astonished at the pricing at Kmart. Good value for money and products are reasonable. However if you are looking at strong durables these may not cut the chase. There is a wide array of options and for most simple consumables it would be ok. Staff is friendly as well.

Their customer service is a total joke. There was only one worker at the self-checkout area and it was impossible to get her attention as she was too busy chatting to another customer for ages. Unprofessional, especially in such a big store. I hated it. Better shop online.

Sanitisers not working. Easy shopping. Again sanitizers not roped up. Store well laid out, sales clearly marked. Missing floor walkers as someone was eating Easter eggs, and mother packing stroller to go through check out. Interesting. Clean store which is important.

Absolute trash customer service. Tried calling, nobody answered. Laziest bunch of staff you will ever meet. They always hiding from serving customers and act like they are busy. The management is pure trash. I shop online now. Waste of time dealing with these bozos.

My bag and everyone elses were checked if you have stolen something. So every customer is a potential thief? Never tretead like this before in a shop. Never mind a company that is working against there own customer like this. Very rude, will never go there again!

I am always warmly greeted on entry, all the staff I have dealt with confident and efficient in the discharge of their duties, the store well stocked. My only complaint would be that online advice regards stock in-store availability of an item can be incorrect.

There's always a helpful staff member to help you find what you want, even if it's not in their branch. Only room for improvement is increase their stock levels when it comes to popular products - they should stock more given it's a larger branch.

Kmart is a great one stop shop for everything. The indooroopilly store is well stocked and tends to be kept quite clean. unfortunately this one only has the single checkout area in the centre of the store which can be a bit annoying at times.

Love Kmart and this store is one of them. Could end up spending $$$$ here and just like other stores, staff don't really exist except at checkouts which I don't really mind, just means more walking around finding things you never knew about.

A good kmart, nice layout and everything's easy to find. Parking is the stuff of nightmares. If you can get into indooroopilly shopping centre parking lot and survive the hour long wait for the elevator, good luck getting out.

They give free away woks. Highly recommended going there when the teenage boy is supervising checkouts as he doesn't seem to care what's scanned or what items are placed in the Weighing section of the self service checkouts.

Shop is good but hate where the registers are. What person sticks a register in the middle of a store and has a line blocking the aisle, I'm sure it's fine for a smaller store but not a big department store. Just MY opinion.

Bad internet connection inside store so don't try and transfer money on a app or check your account to tap and pay. Dispite being a covid hot spot a few times still nobody checking people entering in had used Check in QLD.

Kmart is a great place for cheap, reasonable quality household items. You do need to be careful, as sometimes the quality is not really good enough. Most of the time they strike a good balance and are good value.

My friend and I were helped by a lovely boy named Max this afternoon. He was so helpful and kind which is rare now days. As we left we were also approached by the lovely Fiona. Two very hardworking staff members.

Good clean layout. Big selection. Hard to find a logical reason for where things are. Staff very busy, but helpful when called upon. Not a very efficient checkout section with sensitive self service registers.

Online it says that they have stock of a fan so I go there and there is none in stock. The parking there is terrible and wasted my time. I also checked later at night the same day and says its still in stock.

Kmart is a great place to shop, so many products. Kmart is my number one choice for all my homeware shopping. I spend hours in Kmart, and the prices are so cheap I always find something to buy at Kmart.

Horrible process! Went through the check out, noticed straight away I was over changed. Asked the them to refund the difference they sent me to the service desk where I waited a further 20 minutes.

Good place for a good price! Almost all my kitchenware is from here; some clothes and tech appliances as well. The Staff is friendly and nice, always willing to support you since you are in need.

Used click and collect. Had to go into the back of the store and wait for a long time to pick up what I thought would be an easy , fast way to shop. Next time I will just go and collect myself

The Mens Socks my Nephew wanted, that we're supposedly meant to be in stock. Were no longer there. He did find something else there, at a responsible price. Grateful that he was happy.

Conveniently located in the shopping centre so you can quickly get what you need without walking too far (if parked at the car park closest to Aldi). Nice big store, friendly staff.

It is a bazaar for shoppers. Kmart has everything. Value for money because everything that is sold is inexpensive. Value for money. You need time to explore this store. FUN.

Good store with a very large variety of different products available. They have fast service with self-serve and manned registers. Overall pretty good shop.

Parking was a breeze. Lots and lots of shops. Not really busy on the Sunday we where there.

Love it. The store is quite big and has more variety then the ones I found in Melbourne.
