I went in yesterday and I got a turkey bacon avocado combo with chips a drink and a pastry. You would think that would be a pretty easy thing to get together, I went when they were not busy and there was no line whatsoever. I was in a hurry and I left and I did not get not get my chips, which the chips weren't the issue. I asked for my order to go with the counter they took my name and they brought it out not to go, and when I asked the counter cashier if I could get it to go she gave me an attitude and told me she could bring me a box and I can put it in the box and bag myself which that's not my job if I ordered something to go it should be ready and prepared to go, the cashier also gave me an extreme attitude because I asked her if I could get it put in a bag and have them put it in a to go form which I already previously asked for when I paid for my order which was nearly $20. I like to say that it was my mistake because I did not look in the bag before I left but I should not have to look into a bag to see if my order is complete because I work in customer service and I always get people's orders correct because if I did not my head would be chopped off. I got home and realized that my chips were missing which the chips make the sandwich what's a sandwich without chips? Exactly. I called and spoke to the general manager Desiree and she said she would make it right so I came in today (the next day) after a very long and stressful day at work and she paid for my meal and I got the exact same thing and the chips were missing which I again did not check the order because she said that I would be taken care of, and that it shouldn't be an issue for me to check the bag because the order should be completed if you ask for something to go. But alas the chips were not in the bag and I had to walk all the way back to kneaders after I walked 15 minutes away to get the chips. I definitely would not be going here again unless the cashier at the counter is fired or shapes up or is able to use her eyes to see if an order is correct. I gave the manager a chance to make it correct but it was the same issue as the day before. Lost a customer and I will be calling corp. :)

This makes me sad to write, but perhaps the owners will do something if they read reviews. I’m only leaving this review now because this is the only Kneaders location that I’ve had multiple visits that were very disappointing. My daughter and I stopped in and the entire lobby was filthy. Food and garbage everywhere on the tables despite only a few patrons being in the dining area. While we had friendly staff, there just wasn’t enough people to keep things going in a positive way. There was garbage littering the drink station as well as lobby, but there was utensils and product filled. I ordered a slice of pie for myself and the entire bottom crust was apparently not a part of my pie for me, left somewhere in the pan for me to wonder about. The grilled cheese sandwich took an exceptionally long time to come out for my daughter’s kids meal, it was almost cold when she got it though. Put together haphazardly for such an easy meal. We were just stopping in for a quick bite, but for $15 we definitely could’ve gotten a better experience elsewhere. I won’t be patronizing this location again. It seems they never have enough staff to make the time spent here a positive one. The last time we were here it was a similar disappointment with the food and wait time. Good luck Kneaders. Perhaps you should be paying your staff more considering everything on the menu has gone up in price by at least one dollar.

Great location and lots of foot traffic. These guys are in a prime spot. Ordering online is in no way, shape, or form a time saver. Working by City Creek is a great benefit but on busy days, it's hard to get and out of somewhere quick and get back to work and eat. I prefer to order online to pick up and bring back. I ordered breakfast to be ready by 8:15. It was just a simple egg sandwich with cheese. When I went to pick up, no one came to the "pick up" register at the south end of the counter, so I had to stand in line. By 8:27, I still didn't have food or my iced coffee. When I finally got my food, it was cold and I still had to wait for my coffee. There was no point in ordering online, because I got my items in the same time frame I would have if I hadn't ordered online, except my food may have been hot if I’d ordered in store. Incredibly disappointed in the sandwich as well. The egg was under-cooked and the whites of the egg were runny and I had to eat around it. I keep giving Kneaders tries after failing at other items, such as a Ruben. Never order that here - you get 3 SLIM pieces of corned beef and a ton of sauerkraut. It's not worth $9 in any way, shape, or form. If a Great Harvest were closer, I'd be going there. I'm giving up on Kneaders at this point and saving my time and money in City Creek.

Three stars for the food. Zero stars for the service. I popped over to the nearest sandwich shop, which happened to be Kneaders at City Creek, to grab a sandwich to take back to my desk. I didn't want to take a lunch break today due to my workload and upcoming deadlines. Nonetheless, it took a full hour from the time I arrived until I left. During that time, I watched the staff bump around each other looking very confused... mainly with their backs to the customers as if to avoid any unneccessary contact. The only person who appeared to be mature and intellegent enough to be the shift manager spent the entire lunch hour organizing a retail shelf rather than helping customers (or her staff for that matter). I'm sorry, but if you're going to run a sandwich shop downtown, you must be more considerate of the professionals' time. This was completely unacceptable and I won't risk visiting again. Train your staff! Jump in to help out during a rush! (BTW, it wasn't all that busy for a lunch hour.) Prepare what you can in advance. Be realistic with the time it takes to prepare any catering or take-out orders.

I have gone to this Kneaders location for the last 7 years. The quality of food and competence of the staff have gone down significantly over the last few years. I try not to complain often, even when they consistently mess up my order, including the managers. I have so many stories I could share (indented finger prints in brownies, unremoved plastic wrapping around cheese slices, frozen chicken in my turkey salad, old produce, etc.). Yesterday I had the worst experience. From the time I ordered to the time they delivered was 35 MINUTES!! THIRTY-FIVE MINUTES!!! OVER HALF AN HOUR!!!! This is unacceptable. I understand that they can get busy, but this is not a sit-down restaurant. It should never take that long. If they were short staffed, they should have let us know the delay while we were in line. I would have gone elsewhere and thanked them for saving my time. Instead I was late getting back to work. I really like Kneaders in general, and I honestly think it’s just this location that is so awful. I just don’t think I can come here anymore. Kneaders, please don’t apologize. Just do better.

I have been in to this location twice first time I ordered takeout and wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt because they’re clearly understaffed. However the training is lacking. I ordered the sandwich I’ve been ordering for the last 6 years both times. Which is the chicken cheese and ham on cibatta. Both times there was no veggies. The second time which was today was dine in. I got a sandwich that was burnt and for some reason cooked in the panini press. I asked if they could remake the sandwich, which they did. However when I got it, again it was cooked in the panini press. Leaving me with wilted lettuce that was bitter. I asked for a manager and was told “He left already” our visit was around 2pm/2:30pm. We ordered a total of four items and they were all wrong. The staff is kind and overall trying their best but no one has been trained. As a business leader/owner i see it as a disservice to the brand and your team to not spend the time and resources to properly train them.

Terribly understaffed. I am a current business owner and I have worked in food service so I know how hard it is. It took almost an hour to get our food. The initial order was wrong. To top it off, they then brought us someone else's order. One member of the staff then snapped at the other. After that the solo cashier who had to staff the already long line was rushing to get an order out and dropped a sandwich on the floor. The person next to me also got their order wrong and then another person was commenting how understaffed they seemed. You never know what is going on behind the scenes at a business so public criticism is hard, plus nationwide there is a labor shortage. But clearly this seems like a miserable place to get food and seems miserable for the staff too. Otherwise food and everything else is great but terrible process and staffing.

Get ready for an oh-so-tasty carb overload!!! Similar to the Panera Bread that I'm used to but with higher quality meats. I got the club so I could taste them all. The turkey looked and tasted as if it was carved right off the Thanksgiving turkey. The ham, roast beef and bacon were all delicious as well. Everything comes with a side of bread and you get a choice of around 8 different types. Even my 7 year old son commented on how yummy the bread was. They also had a very unique soup that I just had to order. It was portobello and artichoke. It was fabulous and made the place feel less commercial and more local deli like. If getting a sandwich I would recommend asking for a side of mayo and mustard. They were very light on the dressing. Overall worth stopping by but keep in mind you'll be extra full and may have to hit the treadmill to work off the fantastic bread you'll be gorging on.

I don't recommend this location. After ordering I went to a table to wait for my order to be ready. Customers who walked in AFTER I sat down were receiving their food before me. My daughter went down to the food court, ordered from Osaka, brought her food up, ate all of it before my food was prepared. I only ordered a Reuben Panini and side of soup. Eventually I grew tired of waiting, went to the counter and asked where my food was. The Reuben was sitting on a tray, no soup in site. The staff member filled a cup with soup and handed me my meal. Trouble was, not only was it extremely late, it wasn't what I ordered. I ordered a panini, I got a sandwich with very little meat and no swiss cheese. Not wanting to wait another 20 minutes or longer for my lunch I took it and left. I won't be returning and I recommend you stay away. Staff has no interest in customer service.

Service here was amazing, our waiter and everyone else to attended to us was very friendly and attentive. They made the experience great. I ordered the Michigan has with over easy eggs and a side of toast. I love potatoes and we all know that (if you didn't, well now you do!) but I enjoyed the toast so much more because their homemade strawberry jam is sooooooo gooooooddddd! Hence, why I took a separate picture of my almost gone toast. The hash was really good too, it consist of a lot of veggies and sausages. To me it was cooked to perfection, I loved every bite and was really sad that I couldn't finish the whole plate. This place gets really busy, so sometimes the wait is a bit long but to me it's worth it for the food and service. I always go on the weekend, so I'm not sure what it's like on a weekday. Hopefully, not as crazy so you don't have to wait too long.

I love kneaders… biggest fan. However, I came here to get my favorite Turkey bacon avocado sandwich & they were out of Turkey … how does a restaurant like kneaders run out of Turkey. Okay, I’ll order some soup in a bread bowl like I’ve done many times before, they don’t have any bread bowls … just slices of bread. I am very disappointed… this is not the first time I have gone to this location and they were out of Turkey!!!! It took 30 mins for them to scoop a ladle full of soup after a very disappointing ordering experience. I understand everywhere is understaffed and it’s a very difficult time but this is NOT the first time this has happened!! I would hope kneaders learns from past experiences and maybe thought to order more Turkey ??

USED to be good. They have most definitely gone down hill. The prices of the cakes have gone up. AND the size has decreased drastically. Not worth the 2 bites of cake for 5 dollars. The club sandwiches used to be full of meat, now they consist of hard bread with little meat. I have gone back numerous times and it's still the same. I went there to today, it was still terrible. The sandwich bread was hard and tasteless, I got the club. The soup was decent. I also got a brownie but that too was awful. It was old, hard and disgusting. I definitely wasted my money on that one. I went here because it was my last resort for semi healthy food. As I was waiting for my food the lady comes and slammed the two trays down. .... disrespect at the fullest. Thanks for the rude, tasteless and Arrogant Service.

Food is great! Location is great. How they manage their line is horrible. You have to either stand outside in the inclement weather to get through the line, or weave through tightly positioned tables - not comfortable for those standing in line or those eating in those areas. The dining area is one door away from the outside, so whenever anyone opens the door the freezing cold washes over all the patrons. They need a better system for managing delivery of food orders. While it's really nice that they bring your food to the table, they call out a name again and again as they walk around the dining area. This isn't really conducive to having a nice conversation with those you are dining with. I would prefer a numbering system or something. While it's not as personal, its more professional.

We used to love ordering the delicious French toast with yummy buttermilk syrup! Favorite thing to eat in Utah! We went for breakfast after recommending to a friend but they no longer have the syrup. Instead they served the French toast with a cup full of caramel. It was dry and almost inedible. I was embarrassed to have recommended the dish. Why did you get rid of the syrup? Please bring it back! Edit to respond to owner’s response- The staff confirmed to us they used to have syrup and told us they don’t use the buttermilk syrup anymore. Another customer even got up and asked about the caramel and asked if they could have syrup because the caramel doesn’t go with the French toast. The caramel was hard and thick and not a syrup. Bad business decision to switch from syrup to caramel.

The worst service ever. 6 sandwiches and all wrong. How can you screw up a hot ham croissant. Four times they put vegetables and mayo on it. The 1 slice of ham was so thin, made Subway sandwiches look good. The ham, cheese and egg croissant they could not even get right. 3 times they forgot to put ham on it. Received no receipt to attempt to get a refund for horrible food. Then the wait was horrible by the time we got our final meal that was still wrong, we have been there for an hour and the rest of our party we were with had to wait. Just ended up walking out. SAD is all I can say. I will not promote this restaurant any of our other parents who came with us. Which is around 100 people.

I love kneaders but today's experience disappointed me for sure. I was excited they were open new years but... They were out of a ton of things The French toast was terrible (first time ever experiencing that) The syrup was just straight caramel My fiance asked for runny regular syrup and was given a cup of hot water and told to mix it with her syrup. There were only 4 employees there total and not a single one seemed of voting age. So here's my feedback. Its not the kids fault that work here. It's totally a leadership problem. You chose to have the restaurant open on New Year's and don't have the support for your staff or customers in place. And now I'm questioning if I want to come to this kneaders again cause the food/service was legit gross today.

I usually really love Kneaders, but after my experience today, I won’t be back anytime soon. I’m not usually the kind of person that writes reviews, but after today I had to share my experience. We waited almost an hour in line to order food. There was only one person on the register and that same person was answering the phones as well. After ordering it took almost a half hour to bring us our food. The salad I ordered didn’t have half the toppings it’s supposed to come with. I spent almost 12 dollars on lettuce, tomatos, and cucumbers. When I went back and asked for just one of those missing toppings (my croutons) they acted so annoyed. Not a good experience

Oh my gosh I can’t say enough good things about our experience here this morning! We came in for breakfast and long story short their soda machine wasn’t working, they gave us a free smoothie because they felt bad and some canned drinks with ice. I asked if they had canned Diet Coke and they didn’t so a lady (short blonde hair) said “I’ll be right back” this lady literally left the building and came back with a 32oz Diet Coke for me from a gas station or somewhere! In the middle of their breakfast rush, she left to go get me a Diet Coke! I felt so bad but talk about outstanding customer service! She deserves a raise for sure! Thanks Kneaders, we will definitely be coming back to this location for sure!

The service at this location is always so slow. I stood there for 10 minutes today as my to-go order just sat on the counter. The staff was having a hard time keeping up with to-go orders (they need a dedicated person for this, especially during busy hours). Also, I got home with my order and my Thai salad doesn't have chicken. I'm looking through the app and it looks like this week they changed the salads so that they don't come with protein. The protein is an extra add-on. They also made an extra dressing an up-charge. However, the salad prices are the same, the photos show them with chicken. Kneaders. This was a *pathetic* decision. Way to penny pinch your customers.

I placed a huge order for my school district last year… And asked for cookies to be replaced with brownies in the deluxe box. It was a great hit for more than 125 administrators. I placed the same order a couple of weeks ago. Today - We did not receive the brownies at all. Plus when I placed the order on day one it was 1299 for each deluxe box… Three days later they jacked the price up to 1699 without telling me. I’m waiting to hear from the manager now because that is not acceptable. Plus they didn’t give us the brownies. And the order overall was messed up with other items. I know times are hard it’s hard to get good people to work with this is just unbelievable

  • Chris Cottrell

We went a couple days ago and they got the order all wrong missing a sandwich. And we went back a few days after to give the benefit of a doubt. We ordered 2 already made desert items and they didn't look busy. But the order took a long time to complete. Employees kind of standing around with no organization. I see the comments about a lack of staff and totally agree. I think there is a lack of management there and order also. Maybe that is creating a retention problem. Despite the staffing issue, the deserts are really good. I never got my sandwich, but had some of my wives. The desert was better.

This is actually the worst place to get food in the downtown area. If you work downtown and regularly eat out, you know. If you place an order ahead for pickup, you’ll be waiting at least an extra 10 minutes in-store for a sandwich and cup of soup. We placed a door dash order today and got a call that they were out of Turkey, croissants, and bread bowls. I asked for chicken and ciabatta as a replacement. They gave me sourdough bread and forgot my chips. This is after it taking 30-45 minutes longer than it was supposed to. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.

I understand being short staffed and how unpleasant that is. One young lady that works there was being as pleasant as she could be, but the woman who took over right before my order was very unpleasant. Very short and uninterested in helping customers. They were also out of pumpkin and have been for days. There should be a manager override or something if you’re gonna be out of stuff for that long. I’m fine not having it, but it’s the fact it’s plastered everywhere with no acknowledgment that they’re out until you’re ordering. Probably won’t come here again.

The food was great but they forgot to give us one of our 6 pastries and then one of the others they did give was not the one we ordered (we ordered 6 using the Buy 5, Get 1 Free). Considering it was the two pastries that we had originally wanted, saying we're disappointed is putting it lightly. It's not the end of world, though, and the food tasted amazing. If there were more vegetarian options and if I hadn't faced the dessert fiasco, I would definitely consider this place for one of my new go-to joints. Update: changing from 2 to 3 stars as they did their best to fix this mishap. All the same, the options are limited for a vegetarian.

I decided to take my wife to lunch at City Creek after going to a play. It was 2:30 pm on 26, December. The food was horrible. We both ordered the French dip. The bread was so hard it took all the au jus and it was still dry and tough. The meat was the flavor of the burnt grill. We also bought orange rolls that had to have been from Friday, they to were dry and if it hadn’t been for the frosting it would’ve taken a gallon of milk to get them down. Also the trash was over flowing so we left the stuff on the table and left. What an expensive disappointment.

I've always heard that kneaders was so good and I could not be more disappointed. The staff was friendly, but the food and drinks ended up getting thrown away. We ordered a cheese cake (it was pretty good!) , two cookies, (which my kids ended up throwing about half away), two kids hot chocolates-- I specifically asked for the kids temperature (both were too hot for my husband and I to drink, let alone my kids), and a vanilla steamer (which we threw away after just a couple sips-- I dont think there was any vanilla in it ‍♀️). Again, the staff was all very friendly, I'm just mad I wasted $18 on food and drinks we threw away.

  • Matthew Franchetti

25 minutes for a “gourmet hot chocolate.” To provide context - there was no line and maybe 5 tickets ahead of me. 15 minutes later there was a line of 12 people. I asked to see the manager and was told she would be right out. She never showed up. When I asked the employee who came to see me about the three people doing nothing and not helping , the response was that the “schedule was more important then the customer”. Thanks for the Christmas spirit Kneaders (insert sarcasm) and I will never frequent you again. If you like long waits with no lines, please stop by. Oh and in case you were wondering, the hot chocolate was cold.

Stayed a night in SLC to drive to Jackson Hole. Ordered a simple chicken salad croissant and Turkey /w Cheese with some pastries. They must have dumped a jar of salt on the chicken salad and a basic turkey w/cheese, well, got a cheese only sandwich. Talk about a bad impression with a place that seemed to have so much. Either it's just this place or the food expectations in the area are really low. Had to throw it away. I will say the City Creek mall seemed nice. Food not so much.

Order took an hour for 3 sandwiches. missing items and my chicken cheese and ham was make pretty poorly. As an ex employee of kneaders I am rather disappointed. I asked for no onions and got loaded up on onions, and there is a lot of cheese, and none of it is melted so its just a big chunk in my sandwich. The bread is also much harder than in normally would be, making it pretty difficult to eat. the sandwich looked better than it was, and i was only able to eat half of it because of how difficult it was to eat.

Ok. The lobby was a little messy but we came after the lunch rush and everyone in America is short-handed. So I don’t care. Cameron helped us at the register and seriously gave the best service ever. My parents were visiting from out of town and he let them try all the soups and things like he didn’t have a care in the world. He brought extra dressing and their eclairs did seem like they were filled to the brim. I care about service and the quality of food/portions and those were both 5 stars ⭐️ for sure!

Good food, but not so good customer service. I went in with my dad and we didn't really know what we wanted as he have never been there before, instead of the staff being courteous and explaining the items on the menu she rushed us to make a decision. She could have been more out going and say "Do you have questions?" Or, hell she can just start explaining the menu to us. She however acted more annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted. These small emotional connections with your customers can make your business more money, sadly most stores like this fail.

Kinda disappointed with the food...i am ok with the service though it was slow...we were standing by the counter for 3 mins and no one even greeted us. The food was just so regular that i can cook my omelet way better and how it was presented was not appetizing. I don’t know if it’s because of the pandemic that they have to use disposables but it’s too much trash already. My coffee was so light I can’t taste any coffee at all and I can see the bottom of my cup. My first was not as amazing as I expected...i feel bad the food did not complement the ambiance.

This is my first visit here and I was extremely disappointed. I ordered an egg, ham, light cheese CROISSANT with an Americano. The croissant sandwich was exceptionally GREASY!! I tried soaking off the grease with the napkins. The Americano was alright. That was the highlight of the order! I had high hopes for this place according to the reviews I read before going. Very disappointing.

The service is very bad, there are many employees but poor logistics because they do not know what tasks each one has. The food is ready and they don’t serve it, it stays there on the table waiting until the customer is angry and asks for it, are waits of 20-30 minutes to eat cold and with forgotten items (incomplete order). Also, the whole kitchen is very messy, there are many unnecessary things that make everything take more time.

Good stop for a little dessert! Came in with a friend after walking the mall for a little bit. Both just wanted a little something sweet to round out the afternoon. I had the key lime tart, and she the mini raspberry cream cheese tart. Both were very good! Place was clean. Staff was friendly. Prices were reasonable. I'd say a fine stop for a little sweet if that's what you're craving.

What happened? I usually ask for Greek omelete because it’s so good and filling! But this time it was AWFUL! it looks like it has been done with just one egg and it’s missing half of the ingredients it usually has! The strawberries are awful, and the bread? Omg awful! Not worth to pay for it. I used to come all the time but you guys have just gone down hill for awhile and I might just pay more in another brunch place, awful.

Ordered takeout. Showed up at the time my order was to be completed. The place was understaffed. It took an additional 25 minutes for my order to come out (a single sandwich). It was the complete wrong sandwich. However this was not the worst part. The garbages were overflowing and there was food and garbage on the floors. I felt bad for the staff because there was only 3-4 people for a restaurant which needs double that.

I work very close to this location and I’ve noticed every time it takes longer than normal to get my food, but within the last couple times it’s been extra long. It’s clearly not at fault of the staff, the manger needs to schedule more people. This time there was 1 person taking and running orders and someone hiding behind. It took over 30 minutes to get just a bowl of soup. Kneaders needs to support their staff better.

Ran out of all soups by 6:30 on a ridiculously cold night. How does a soup place run out of soup? The few scraps of soup we were able to get prior to them running out we're cold, we returned them and they microwaved it. The sandwiches were soggy and the amount of meat on the salad was laughable. The management of this location is terrible! Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. Sorry I don't like giving 1 ⭐ reviews but need to warn others before giving over your hard earned

4.5/5 the chicken pesto on french country was superrrr good!! this place was super cute i loved looking at all of the pastries on display. the food was great quality and you could tell was fresh made. the coffee however… i ordered a regular iced coffee with almond milk but the drink was like 90% ice and 10% coffee. and the ice was like crushed so it was hard to get the straw through and drink it. otherwise, the food was great!

I was here for breakfast on early Monday and ohh my god!!!! The service was terrible, there were no more customers than us but it was super slow, and my surprise was worse when I asked for sugar for my coffee and they didn't have, they said, that is a bakery without sugar!!!! One of the girls who worked there told the girl taking the orders not to sell any more cappuccinos because they were hard to make and she didn't have time for that. I don't recommend this place at all

Going to kneaders is always a fantastic experience. From the French toast to the sandwiches, everything is tasty and fresh. The workers go out of their way to see that you're taken care of and are super patient with customers. They had given us the wrong dessert and we didn't realize until we got to the table, and even though it was the dinner rush, they helped us with a smile! Thank you kneaders, I highly recommend.

Store said open at 9. We show up at 9 (during second week of January. So it is 34 degrees outside.) The workers see us standing outside with our 5 month old child. It’s starting to get cold. At 9:10 they decide to tell us “we aren’t opening until 9:30 today” so we go downstairs to the food mart to stay warm. We go up at 9:35 to eat breakfast, and they won’t let us order because we don’t have a mask. No signs saying anything outside or online. What a joke.

When I walked in, baby in tow by myself and saw a line I was nervous it was going to be a wait. It was my first time ever going in so I didn't know what ro expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The line moved fast and efficient. The menu was easy to read and understand. I placed my order and found a spot to sit and then they brought my food out to me. I got the chicken salad sandwich on a croissant. It was delicious! I definitely recommend going!

  • Talayna Johnson

Absolutely would give 10 stars. My husband and I are sick and all we wanted were bread bowls. They were out, unfortunately, but they went above and beyond sending us extra sourdough and cookies. They wrote sweet get well messages on everything. I may be a bit delirious from fever but it nearly made me cry. They were so kind and everything we got tasted amazing!

Went to Kneaders at the City Creek Mall and got the Chicken Pesto Panini! It comes with a pickle, bag of parmesan chips, and I got a regular drink! I wish there were more chips but my meal was still satisfying! The store wasn't that busy Saturday afternoon. The service was friendly and quick (wait was less than 5 mins) and they have pebble ice (plus!). Went around the mall and saw a lot of nice places to eat around the mall!

  • Mark Melville

Kneaders is fine. I like the soups and sandwiches, but I wouldn't say I love them, and I think the pandemic has taken a toll on the restaurant. They don't have all the things they used to have (key lime tarts, mint brownies, etc.). Yet even though they have gotten rid of many classics, they're still using the same old bland sugar cookie recipe. They are seriously the most flavorless fresh-baked sugar cookies I have ever had.

  • Sam

Morning visit. Attentive staff. Very clean dining area. Very nice bacon and cheese sandwich however they don't sell tea! "Sir, we have not sold tea for quite some time" "I'm British, I need tea!" [shoulder shrug] to indicate it was a me problem! .. Kneaders, may I perhaps recommend removing items from your menu if you don't offer them!?

I worked at the city creek kneaders for years along with a few other stores. I have never turned down an order from anyone no matter how little or big. I have gone into this kneaders two times now and got the worse service ever. There is never a full pastry case and what is in it is bad. My case was full by the time we opened. No one ever had to wait for fresh pastries. People need to take a look at this store. Very bad

  • Michelle

I was there about 30 minutes before they closed. The place was a mess. I only ordered a tea which took 20 minutes to bring to me l. They lost a friend's order. 10 minutes before they closed they were putting chairs on top of tables telling us they were closing... come on! It was a Saturday after a symphony. Figure it out!! Very disappointed!!

Perfect place to meet up family and have a meal! My brother flew in town and we met there before his next flight out. We love the all you can eat French toast. You can’t go wrong with the special syrup and strawberries. Don’t miss out on their delicious baked goods! They also do pies during the holiday season you can pre-order. The line is usually super long to pick up so the pies must be good!

  • Leah Snider

I will not order from here again. My order said it would be ready by 12:08 pm. I didn't receive my order until 12:47 pm while I was in the store they wouldn't let me cancel my order and get a refund. I ordered a turkey bacon avocado on focaccia they didn't put avocado on the sandwich and the bread was rock hard.

They were not busy, around 3 pm, and the help was sitting on the counter behind the register. They served me an avocado in my salad that was hard as a rock. Could not even bite it. Wonder how he cut it up? Took it back and he gave a ripe one! The help should have been wiping tables, sweeping floors instead of talking amongst themselves. I'm sure the owner/manager would not have approved!

  • michelle m

While their desserts deserve five ☆☆☆☆☆, their catering/delivery service earned three ☆☆☆. We had our Thanksgiving holiday party catered by the downtown location. We ordered months in advance. We informed them our party started at noon. What time do they show up? Just about noon. Granted they should have sent more than one guy to deliver and (not) set up our very large order.

  • Aaron McGuire

I get that inflation is hitting everybody hard but the value just wasn't there last time I went. Two of the saddest strips of bacon for a whole size BLT was disappointing. They didn't have straws which would have been good to know before my smoothie arrived, made it inconvenient to drink. Service was just fine.

Kneaders is always a favorite! I love their little samples they put out all day to try. Their salads have REAL big chunks of meat with plenty of choices on dressing and the soups are always top notch. Quick, easy service isn't too bad either. Prices can be a bit high sometimes especially on dessert, but it's quality food so I make exceptions

The service was incredibly slow. After waiting 20 minutes for a muffin top, eclair and an iced black coffee, the worker ignored me when I said that was my order and he delivered it to another customer. Instead of rectifying the incident, the workers kept preparing other orders. I waited 5 more minutes then requested a refund. Very poorly ran!

Staff member ignored me. When we asked questions she was extremely rude and talked down to us like we were stupid. Food is highly over priced and honestly not at all that great. Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

First off, this was an isolated experience today (2/7/2020 at city creek). My coworker and I get in line with maybe 10-15 people in front of us. It took 20 minutes order our food and then 25 minutes to get our food. It was still super delicious and excellent quality. NO excuse for the long wait. 45 minutes to acquire food is too long.

  • Dave Thornton

Best customer service!! We got here 1 minute before closing and snagged a brownie and didn’t see any chocolate chip cookies. I asked the lady behind the counter if they happen to have any in back and she said ‘as a matter of fact we do’. She went and got the last cookie and my daughter was soooo happy. Great experience. Thank you!

  • Myshelle DeSpain

I have been to Kneaders a few times, even different locations. Tried different things on the menu to see if maybe I just wasn't ordering the right thing. Everything is tasteless from the sandwiches to the baked goodies. Even the breakfast sandwich is bland. Very strange unless that is what they are going for. Bland tasteless food.

  • Brenda Harding

I normally love kneaders. And this location, but something must've changed here recently, chef or management, because the food quality has gone DOWNHILL. greasy, sloppy and not very appealing to look at.. wth happened? Ugh. Don't know if I will return to this location

It’s a great place to get super fresh and tasty salads, soups and/or desserts. My most favorite salad is their Turkey Cranberry Sunflower Salad with Sweet Poppyseed dressing. I just love that!!! That day I ordered from their salad and soup combo menu, so had the Roasted Red Pepper & Gouda soup with my salad. Yum!!

  • Tongue Twister

Worst cafe experience ever. I ordered two brownies that were literally smeared onto my plate. They grossed me out so I threw them out. The service was so bad when we ordered that Iididnt even bother to say anything when the order came to the table.

Worst Kneaders around, there's always something wrong. For some reasons, for 2 weeks they couldn't make their chicken pesto panini, I've had sandwiches made with bread that was clearly from the day before, today no ice in the drinking fountain. Anyway when everything goes well the food is great.

  • Lily Miller

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I waited an hour and a half and never even got my food. When the woman working the register was confronted about orders taking upwards of two hours she snapped at customers and was being extremely rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. More

Just one word: great. The kindness of the employees, the cleanliness, the typical decoration and especially the food. We had an avocado bacon sandwich, a cookie for me, and a white chocolate éclair for my friend. Everything was fresh, good and very tasty. Thank you for this delicious lunch!

Went here last week and ordered there french dip. It was served fairly fast, i should have returned it but we were in a hurry. There was only two very thin slices of meat inside the bun. No meat was hanging out over the edge. I should have taken a picture. I won't eat a sandwich here again.

Overpriced, food quality is going downhill. Went at 6PM on a Friday. The line took 20 minutes to order, they were out of a lot of items, then took another 45 minutes to get our food and they got our order wrong.
