We just left Kohl’s on Elston Ave in Chicago. We had a such a horrible experience using the Kiosk to place an online order using our new Kohl’s credit card we were approved for today. With the approval, we were offered a 35% discount for our purchase. We quickly realized there was no way to enter a code for the 35% discount using the Kiosk to buy items not available in store. The store manager came over to us and assured us we could get the 35% adjustment credit at the customer service counter after our online kiosk purchase was finalized. We spent about $600. Customer service was helpful as well. They told us they needed to call in to the web/online sales department to ask them to apply the credit. Things went downhill very quickly after that. The online sales representative was uncooperative and told the customer service person they couldn’t credit the account. A store manager was called and she spoke with the rep. Karen from the online department still wasn’t helpful. She then asked for a supervisor. Karen from online wouldn’t transfer the store manager to her supervisor! Unbelievable!! Karen from web then asked to speak with us directly. We explained we were told we would receive the 35% discount. After a long back and forth, she wouldn’t help us. We then asked for her supervisor AT LEAST 6 TIMES before she finally put someone else on the phone. We realized the reps were just following a script and they were not local management (maybe from Taiwan or China?). They were awful and not in line with the store management as a unified customer focused team. We finally just returned everything in a purchase over $600, cancelled the Kohl’s credit card, and walked out after about 2 hours of wasted time. Absolutely terrible experience! Needless to say, we will never shop at Kohl’s again. The lack of quality care for customers was shocking. All due to a bad online service rep system. You have options like Target, Macy’s, and other retailers who will treat you better. Macy’s has most of the same items we tried to purchase today. We are heading there tomorrow. Update 9/25/21: After all the wasted time and bad service we received from Kohl’s online representatives the other day, now we received a notice that the order we cancelled was shipped. They also charged the Kohl’s charge card that we thought we cancelled. Unbelievable! The online rep on the phone the other day confirmed the order was canceled and the credit card was canceled. She obviously lied. Now we have to call them again, make sure the card is canceled, and figure out how to refuse or return a shipment we had canceled. We already wasted about 2 hours of our time. This is such bad service and such a poor example of how a company should be run. Terrible. I want to stress the Elston store manager and customer service counter team was very professional and helpful. Our bad experience was created by a bad company set up for online/kiosk order customer service. The store team really tried to help, but even they were flabbergasted and shaking their heads about our experience with the online customer service people we dealt with on the phone. Also, it should be noted there was no follow up call or attempt to resolve the problem our show respect and value for a customer after they became aware of this really bad experience. Simply a lame poor apology to this review and stating they’d follow up with store management. Please follow up with the company executives who should contact us and fix bad online web order service!

SHOCKINGLY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE TODAY FROM BRYANT V. at Amazon return desk ON PURPOSE, AND HE WAS LITERALLY LAUGHING AT GIVING ME THE BAD SERVICE A customer who of course had no idea what had happened, as I was the one in the interaction, not another customer, tried to chime in until I explained to him what had happened and then that customer had nothing else to say after I told him what happened Upon hearing the customer's remark to me and my reply to the customer, the supervisor or manager who I had requested to fix the bad service, Esmeralda, immediately nodded to me in recognition and said "I apologize for that." Esmeralda was much appreciated in this awful situation and is the only reason I have not placed the complaint higher yet. Thank you, Esmeralda. Bryant V., you have your bad customer service to thank for this review AND also thank that ignorant customer who did not know what had happened in the first place to be saying anything about it. You're welcome! And have a good day! (like you insincerely told me at the end) I had another bad experience too at this Kohl's not long ago, so thought it would have a lower rating like it does on Yelp, but perhaps the overall Google rating is still okay because of employees like Esmerelda.

I found the exact items I wanted at my Bucktown Kohl's. The prices were very fair. I paid for purchases on both floors and both register workers were kind, helpful, efficient and friendly. When I arrived home I realized I had left my cell phone in my shopping cart. Thankfully, one of Bucktown Kohl's honest customers turned it in. When I called the store from my home the gracious store manager, Mary, assured me my phone was there. She emphasized she would keep the phone with her and wanted to make sure I would drive safely when I returned as she knew I was panicked!!! A big “thank you" to the honest people who shop at Bucktown Kohl's and a special thank you to the manager who was so thoughtful.

Presentation is everything - this store is so clean! A place for everything and everything in its place. It's apparent that Kohl's sets the proverbial bar high. Apparently the store associates in each department takes their jobs seriously enough to maintain order, they are knowledgeable about inventory, and they eagerly & enthusiastically assist customers. Special thanks to cashier Pam B.! Although I was conducting my transaction after closing time, she was patient with me and guided me through the process of applying for and obtaining a Kohl's charge card. She was attentive and she went out of her way to be helpful. Her presence and customer service skills are assets to the Kohl's brand.

Outstanding deals and super polite staff. I saved so much money while shopping for deals and looked for discounts on EVERYTHING I purchased. I cannot believe that what I bought and the number of items purchased when combining discounts weren't as close to wholesale pricing as you will ever find. Granted every store offers discounts on older stock...but you will be impressed by the sale pricing structure of Kohl's. They had the best selection of Levi's and watch for the sale tags. I purchased about $500.00 worth of clothing for $178.00...I still can't believe it. Check it out and Blessings...

Kohls sent an email saying that I had $15 to spend in Kohls cash. It was from an online order so I didn’t have a physical coupon and the email didn’t have a bar code. The employees didn’t look up the issue and simply refused to deal with it. Though I don’t fully blame them since I’m assuming the physical coupon was in the package I ordered (that hadn’t arrived yet) and Kohl’s system isn’t sophisticated enough to know whether or not your received the package with the coupon yet. I went to Kohl’s because of the poorly timed email they sent, it was a waste of time.

I did not get paid for a $72 mail-in rebate. They do not put prices on their items, they instead have screens by each display listing all the items in the display and their prices, but the descriptions on the screen often don't match up with the products themselves. Some screens have a line of text at the bottom saying that coupons, like the $5 one you get for Amazon returns, can't be used with those items. Parking lot has lots of Do Not Enter signs, but no signs actually telling you which way to go to get out. They need to install some Exit signs with arrows.

I stopped by to return something I bought from Amazon and ended up buying other active wear. Kohl's offers Under Armour, Nike, among other brands. The store was organized and clean. On the first floor they have clothing and upstairs they have home and other things. I was on a rush but I'll be back to get more things. Note there is also Sophora inside the store and it's in the first floor right by the entrance. They have plenty of parking, they offer curbside pickup too. Good service.

We went to return 2 Amazon purchases and I am thankful that I can do this at Kohls. I also needed some gym shoes and I found the perfect pair, they weren't cheap but we got $5 off coupons for each of the Amazon returns, so that was nice to get $10 off my shoes. Pleasant person greeted us to, she was excellent and gave us the best directions to get to where we needed..nice to have that human touch when it's becoming a thing of the past. Will definitely go back!!

Excellent customer service. I’m a typical wait until the last minute shopper for a big event. Walk in right before closing frazzled unsure of what I’m looking for exactly. Lenka was phenomenal, she was patient when I was being obnoxiously picky about her suggestions even though I was vague about what I wanted. She helped me find the perfect fit very quickly and quite literally saved the day for me in the final hours. Thank you so much for your help.

I had a terrific experience in the Home Dept. ...was having trouble locating a runner for my kitchen. Eric spent a lot of time going through merchandise..checking the computer and finally assuring me that the one selected may have been mis labeled and would fit...it did and Im very grateful to him. Kohl's is my go to store for many items. Really appreciate the time Eric spent with me..you are fortunate to have him as an employee

Upsides: -Had an appropriate number of registers open, was through the long line in less than 5 minutes Downsides: -Difficult to look through the Adidas and Nike merchandise because it’s all locked up. Makes my shopping experience kinda icky knowing that shoplifting is apparently a problem at this store and that they’re watching me. -Took some searching to find an associate on the sales floor to “unlock” the Nike sweatpants

Loved this Kohl's! Many different sections of clothes, great sales, and lots of options for men, women, children, plus, teens and more! They have a great house section as well and seasonal items. Will definitely be coming back here again for any clothes or shoes shopping before I try other stores. You can't beat their prices and getting Kohl's cash! Also, we had lovely cashiers that were kind and funny. Great place to shop!

Hassle-free returns...yeah right! So if I have a receipt I can’t return it, but if I had showed up without a receipt you would’ve given me a store credit...but you didn’t. So now instead of having a customer who would’ve returned to use the store credit, you have one that left & will not be returning. Great customer service. Edit: would like to emphasize the item in question was $14.99. It should not have been such an issue

Good store pickup experience except for a lack of signage for the pickup location. Associates were very friendly and helpful and directed me too the second floor in the far corner. It would be nice if the pickup location were on the first floor. The associate had to go to another area to get my order and bring it back, she was thoughtful and helped me get it to the elevator and into a cart so I could take it to my car.

So I like the store but not a fan of the sneak prices and the headache of waiting over 20 minutes for a sales associate to come and take the alarm off the clothes you can buy them. I know retail theft is hard but my goodness. Also I really don't like that you get a coupon when you return something from Amazon. But there is really nothing you can use it for lol. No nike, under armour, Adidas or anything of name brand.

In response to the reply - I made a complaint with your corporate number (a foreign call center) and never heard a thing. Take your you lip service to appear that you care and are going to make changes and actually make some changes to this location. It's a terrible shopping experience.

Great location in the same mall as the Best Buy. Plenty of parking & multi-level building. Always a busy store. If item is not available in the store you can order online at the store & have the item shipped to you. Friendly & helpful staff.Currently you can not access the 2nd level from the parking lot. Nor can you exit from the 2nd level to the parking lot as the entrance is closed.

Absolutely the worst return service possible. Unlike every other retailer who can take returns at any checkout, returns are upstairs in an unmarked corner. Of course there’s only one person taking returns as opposed to the 9 cashiers standing around downstairs. Maybe this helps your revenue to make the return experience the worst. But I’ll never walk into a Kohls again. Boooo!

Alana was such an ANGEL !!! I accidently left my wallet outside in one of thier shopping carts, she found it and brought it back inside. I came to check if maybe I left it inside by accident, the manager told me that Alana found it and turned it in!!! I'm so glad there's nice people who are so kind and loyal !! This store is pretty clean. The staff is helpful and seem to be well staffed as there is always someone available. It's a two floor store so there is a good amount of merchandise and big selection to choose from. There is also an Amazon kiosk in the store for returning amazon orders or trying out amazon products in store. Lots of parking.

I did a drive up order and the service was amazing as always. The friendly worker who dropped off my packages let me know that my tire was flat. He saved me from making it worse and I was able to fix it. Thanks to him my day was saved. I come here often and service is always great but this encounter really meant a lot.

Great experience, went in to return an Amazon purchase. It was quick and painless and in the process they gave me 5bux in Kohl's cash to spend that day. I found a pair comfy CK PJ pants that I am currently wearing and falling in love. You can say this rates up there as a very successful Kohl's trip!

COVID-wise, I feel safe in their store. They have a great system set-up to order online and pick-up in-store or have them deliver it to your car (sometimes it takes a little bit, but considering the service they are offering, that's just fine by me!) -- the employees are so fun and light-hearted

Haven't done much shopping this year so I was happy to visit one of my favorite Kohl's stores and see they have good sanitizing protocols in place. Unfortunately, their fitting rooms are closed so I hope everything fits. The store is nicely organized and there are plenty of sales right now.

The Amazon return people have been very helpful with walking me through how to do a return. The employees for the kohls check out line were very quick to open 3 registers when there was only 3 people in line because the customer behind me was rudely complaining about the 20 second wait.

I loved kohls but after Thanksgiving , around the first week of December, there was a big red sign that said 20% of sale. When I went to the cash register I was told it didn't start until Saturday. I bought it any way, just not happy. Clearer signs with brands not covered.

Good store, decent selection. Service has been hit or miss but lately they seem to be working extra hard to be more outwardly friendly. The parking lot is always a bit of a labyrinth but it's nice that they have pickup spots right by the entrance for when you order online.

The clearance section has a lot of hidden gems! I wish this place was closer to my apt. The layout is a bit confusing due to having more than one floor level, but I imagine if you're going on a shopping spree, you'll figure it out.

They didn't have cashiers upstairs. The parking lot is full, the only parking available is upstairs, but if you buy something, you need to go downstairs to pay.
