Best place for aquarium and terrarium hobbyists！ The two gentlemen, Simon and Jeff are very friendly and helpful. They speak fluent English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. I got interested in non-filter, non-CO2 aquariums about 2 months ago (been watching YouTube videos). And bought my first 7 Gal tank there. (I’ve posted Wk1-4 pictures of my tank and everything was bought there, including the tank itself, substrates, gravel, aquatic plants, driftwood, fish food, etc.) Being a total beginner, I didn’t know much about setting up a new tank. Simon and Jeff gave me good advice and suggestions on how to do it, like cycling the tank, adding bacteria to accelerate the process, and they helped me test the water for ammonia and nitrites. Well, they’re just like friends. They won’t recommend anything that’s not suitable for the aquarium just for sales (I practically begged Simon for selling me 3 Danios on Wk 3.5, when there was still a tiny trace of ammonia in the sample). Instead, they genuinely hope that you can get the best results and that the plants/livestock you pick up are going to live happily. It’s been 4 weeks now, and my aquarium seems to be fine. The fish, shrimps, and snails are living well altogether. I’ve not yet lost any of it. They also offer custom designs for aquariums and terrariums I think. Might need to make an appointment or inquiry by calling them first. All in all, this is my favorite pet shop now. And I would recommend any hobbyist to have a visit there.

This is a review about the experience I had purchasing from outside the city via shipping and not of the actual store itself. I was interacting with a man named Simon via email and phone. I am not sure if he is the owner or manager but I haven't seen a man more passionate and caring about his profession. The level of customer service I got was hands down the best I've had in over a decade. I placed an order for "Vampire Crabs" which are very delicate creatures. They generally don't do well in shipping but the way that Simon packed them was very professional and all my crabs arrived very healthy!. The box was filled with protective foam/insulation and a heating pad to ensure the temperature was not compromised. There was a slight misunderstanding/miscommunication in my first order I placed. However Simon went above and beyond to fix it and I am still blown away by how much he cares about his customers. Considering the fact that I am not an in person customer and I got luxury treatment goes to show that he wants everyone to leave satisfied and will go out of his way to ensure it. Thanks again Simon!

Don't trust the staff at this store. They will do whatever they can to get a sale. Do your own research, as they will outright lie. Otherwise the prices are okay, the service is poor, and the quality is bad. I've tried giving this place multiple chances over the past 3 years, and it continues to be the same. 1. Plants are in poor condition - e.g. Java fern with it's Rhizomes planted and broken 2. Fish carrying parasites and worms - e.g. anchor worms/ick 3. Water above 100ppm of Nitrates. Staff will lie about the care requirements of fish/plants i.e. Plants being low light, fast growing, not needing CO2 to carpet Tropical fish not requiring heater and tank mate compatibility They are willing to negotiate at times, but often for sickly fish that they're trying to sell. If you did your own research, and feel comfortable with assessing the health of fish/plants, it's not too bad, but, the staff don't really care about the customers and care more about making a sale.

TLDR: Went inside, smelled foul. Saw mistreated and dead fish, seems like fish aren’t taken care of well. My girlfriend and I wanted to look at some fish at this store, however upon entering, we were met with a foul odor. After looking at some of the fish, we realized that some of them were severely mistreated, particularly the betta fish, some of which seemed dead. Some of the betta fish containers had an overgrowth of algae on all sides of the container. Looking at the bigger aquariums, some of them also had an overgrowth of algae on the glass as well. The store itself felt very much like a warehouse. It was cluttered, there were supplies and stock everywhere and generally seemed very disorganized. The floors were wet, the betta fish containers were built into wooden shelving units and seemed small for the fish.

Disliked it. They did not have a large array of fish. Standard selection at best and many of the fish do not look healthy, a few I noticed were blind in both or one eye. Some fish should not be in certain tanks of that size due to their size. The front of the door does not guarantee any of their live stock which is a big red flag in this hobby. I would advise coming in with caution as if they do not guarantee their livestock (either because they know their fish WILL die, or because theyre being cheap) then it can be signs of unhealthy fish which can be carrying disease and may cause problems for your tank as a whole. They do however have a good Betta selection and are kept in drip boxes.

Loved loved loved this aquarium shop. Travelled far and was worried about travelling with fish.. the packaging and handling of the fish was superb and even fixed up my bags from other fish stores and filled them with oxygen, packaged them in a styrofoam box and cardboard. He absolutely went above and beyond ! Educated and super knowledgeable. Very very friendly and down to earth. I highly recommend this aquarium shop. Also normally I wouldn’t wanna order livestock online and have it shipped.. but with the attention to detail the owner has I would gladly order online and have his fish shipped to my address!!!!!! Thank you for such a great experience and good quality animal care!

I ordered vampire crabs, shrimp, and a couple snails from this shop and they all arrived today in great shape! Someone from the shop made sure to call me yesterday before sending out the shipment to confirm my address, and make sure I would be home to receive the delivery. The animals arrived today safe and sound, and were packaged very well! Lots of fluffy packing material, and each crab was packaged individually! I was very impressed with how everything was packaged to insure the safety of the animals. The people who work here obviously care very much about the animals they send out. I highly recommend this shop, and will definitely be ordering from them again! Thank you!

Went in today to try my luck at finding some fish I’ve been looking for awhile now. The owner/employees there were super friendly and helpful. They took the time to explain everything and even offered some of their input which not a lot of aquarium stores do unless asked. They seem pretty knowledgeable too and surprisingly I was able to find a school of the red neon blue eye that are pretty much out of stock in most places. Their aquariums are pretty clean too and I asked them about quarantine too since I don’t have an extra tank to do so, and they were very patient and upfront with their information. I will definitely come back for my future aquarium needs!

The customer service here is very good. Honestly this place has a lot more than meets the eye. When you go here you have to look under the shelves, you'll find a selection of anything from rocks to driftwood and more. Look up and you'll find filters etc. This store can also grab spare parts for your broken filter and order in almost anything to fit your needs. They will even try to help you hunt down a certain species of fish if needs be. Full co2 setups are also available if you ask, they will call you back with an all in quote if you're into planted tanks Don't hesitate to ask the staff for any of your needs.

Don't buy fish from this guy Simon! I bought 5 puffers from him and 3 died within the first week, I messaged him and called him but he ignored me. This is not how you do business. He acted like an immature kid at the age of 5!! He will not warranty or guarrranty anything! He is a greedy person all he cares about is money! Once he got your money that all important for him! For example. He was selling Mbu Puffer for $1000 each when bought from Big Als in Mississauga for $300 each .So becareful with this guy!

I found my go-to fish store! I had quite a lot of fun checking out their wide variety of stock, the prices were great, the fishes were healthy and the person working was patient, honest and knowledgeable. I would like to point out also, as large as the GTA is, its rare finding a place that is dedicated to updating their stock, prices and having a well designed website. Browsing their stock online and seeing the prices listed made it very easy choice for me to check this place out. Solid 5/5

Absolutely disgusting store. Do not ever buy fish from here. The store is absolutely disgusting and filthy. The prices may appear "cheap" but would you pay good money for trash (What the fish will eventually become). Every tank has dead fish and the ones that are alive have parasites, external damage, and look very sick. The positive reviews on here are probably the store owners other accounts. Do not go here unless you want to burn money.

I've loved coming here when I was little and I'm really glad to see them still around! They have a great selection of healthy and beautiful fish, especially bettas, for very reasonable prices. The staff and owner are all very friendly and helpful, they are more than happy to address any questions or concerns you may have. Come pay them a visit, you just might find something you love. Picked up a nice pair of bettas recently!

Surprising find up in these parts. The guys who run and work at this place knows their stuff. Prices are fair. The fish that I’ve bought over the years were always healthy and grew well. Not the biggest selection for community fish as they specialize in a few higher end fish. Also good people to deal with if you have any specialized requests. Call a head if you are looking for something in particular.

On the day I visited the water quality and health of a few demanding fish in some but not many of the tanks was poor. I keep a variety of tanks and livestock so I know that things go wrong occasionally and take time to sort out. I'm not judging after only one visit. Staff and owner are very friendly, polite and welcoming. I do however look forward to visiting again and will reevaluate then.

Great amount of fish, plants and supplies to choose from. Excellent communication with friendly staff. Prices may be slightly high but you can get a huge variety of fish and plants. Place may need a bit of tidying up but not too bad in general. Went a couple of times recently but the store was closed even if the sign says open from 1200. I'm not sure what was going on with that.

Recently went here to purchase some fish and received so much more. They give great advise and tips for starting a planted aquarium, and they even tested my water to make sure the fish were safe! You know they care about their livestock and what happens to them, and they want the new aquarium hobbyist to have the best experience possible. They also have some lovely plants!

Very knowledgeable, informative, attentive and patience. Amazing hugh selection of aquarium plants, especially both semi and rare finds, they have them all. Competitive pricing! Will be the only place I will recommend. I came here for Neocardina shrimp and plants, learned a lot of care and build to maintain the already great condition of their great selections.

Store isn't the cleanest, but it's not terrible. Also have a great selection of fish, especially some harder to find ones. Good prices as well, staff was nice to me. Fish seemed to be fine, every pet store has a dead fish here and there, no big deal. These fish are perfectly fine, I visited 3 times before buying my fish to make sure they were in good health.

Not the best fish store, just kinda decent. Tanks aren't in the best shape. Fish can be hit or miss. Some look great and healthy and others are very skinny. The store smells a bit. Not a ton of dry goods. Staff are also a hit or miss. Owner is very nice and friendly tho. Id really only buy from this store if there is a fish I can't get anywhere else.

Overstocked fish in small tanks. Apparently the owner won’t sell the fish if they’re sick but their tank conditions seem to increase chances of them getting sick if they’re that crowded. Tanks have gotten dirty recently. Lionhead Ranchus have lost their quality over time and the AA ranchu is a bit pricey for its medium ish size

Excellent service, always willing to answer questions and provide suggestions for those new to the hobby. I initially purchased some hardscape materials (good variety of driftwoods and stones/rocks). I ended up returning a second time to purchase some sand, red root floaters, and some plant tissue cultures. Would recommend!

Picked up some discus. They seem to have been carrying disease as they have not eaten and are hiding with one showing rot on the fin. Initially I thought they are just shy but my existing discus now stopped eating as well. The water has been perfect for years and all tests show a good water condition....

Very friendly owner and staff, we asked for a moss plant grown on wood but they didn’t have the exact one we wanted at first. However they did extra work just to fit our want and didn’t charge any labour fee. Pleasant shopping experience, would recommend for any livestock related shopping purchases.

Not the cleanest place to visit and most likely a place for experts and hobbyists. Cause they can tell which is which and what is what. For beginners I suggest bring cash (no tax) and get the cheapest. They just give their livestock the harshest condition to build up their immune system.

If you are an aquatic enthusiasts. This will be the place to go for anything related to it. The owner of the shop is very knowledgeable and friendly. He will do anything just about anything to satisfy your needs. Highly recommended if you are looking for something like this. Cheers!

My roommate ordered from them and did not double check about the colour/breed so when the fish arrived, it was not what we expected. I called and they were very professional to provide a solution. I was very impressed with the service and will be buying from them again

Worst customer service ever especially the creepy lady who refuses to return anything that was already defective! Never ever to come here and buy fishes as they will die in a few days when bought home. Very cheap low quality fish here! That is my tip to you all.

people are really friendly and knowledgeable. We needed a pump/tube, guy was nicely explained all products. when we are ready to pay, another guy seems to be the boss, showed us the same different product but with a little twist, saved us more than $10

I always buy fishes here and supplies. I did buy plants, fish foods (per pound... lasted for years). I liked to buy tropical fishes when on sale (monthly sale). Otherwise, I still bought the fishes that I liked. Great customer service and instructions.

Fantastic selection of anything and everything you'd need for any freshwater aquarium. Fish, hardscape items, tech, plants...it's truly a one-stop shop. They tend to have high quality bettas, guppies, snails, and an extensive inventory of plants.

Awesome guys, so patient with my son who was picking out sword tails and a goldfish. He even pointed out that his first choice for a gold fish looked a little peckish and recommended a similar one that was looking much tougher. I'll be back.

The shop is good, and the owner is reasonable and good price. I bought a few times of tetra, cories from this shop, and so far so good. They have no refund/exchange live stock policy, but this is fair as their price is not as high as BA....

It's a very nice place for fishes which you often do not see in other fish stores but I am giving 3 starts and not 5 because the place is not well maintained and not clean. If they could manage to do that, then it is 5/5

They take double the prices like 80 dollar tank they will charge 150 or 155 dollar tank they will charge 250, sands 20 dollar sand they will sell for 38 dollar so if you want to loose money on accessories go there

Was looking for some rare fish and found Aquapets the two gentleman educated and then sold me 3 fish shovel head cat, peacock bass and finally my favourite a red pike.. I will be seeing these two again in future
