My family needed to hold a wake and funeral service here recently and it was a smooth and comforting experience. I like that the funeral parlour is open air with plenty if parking space directly in front. No need to go thru basement parking and lifts nonsense. It does get hot in the afternoon but pleasant in the evening. This place provides “less frills” but a very decent option as compared to the swanky, money-minded business right next door. Kwong tung cemetery and funeral services is one of the oldest in KL and has been servicing the chinese community since our ancestors decided to settle down here. I have learnt to appreciate this place more after attending funerals in kwong tung vs the big “N”. The pricing at “N” can get quite ridiculous and unnecessary in my honest opinion. It is my hope that “N” does not become a monopoly so that there are more options for the community.

Recently had my father's wake here. We are in the RMCO but they are still very compliant to the SOP and that sends assurance to visitors who come to pay my late father the last respect. We chartered the air conditioned room that comes with attached toilet for guests. Place is really clean and well managed. They have to close the place by 8pm now so it wasn't that spooky but slightly quiet as there's a restriction to number of visitors at one time.

Just sharing on the environment here. They provide basic refreshments such as mineral water, hot water dispenser, instant coffee, milo and peanuts. Plenty of parking. Service crew always help to clean up tables. There are only 2 ceiling fans for guests and it can be very hot. Toilet was very dirty with broken locks. The halls looks old and hope they can renew it yearly. Ceiling inside the hall was dark.

A place where the chinese families hold their wakes(tah chai).Kwang tung yue san is a very old chinese cemetary and the turn in can be misleading and you will end up in the highway.

A well known place to held funeral rites among the chinese societies.The only problem is the road to the entrance of this place is kind of dark and some says eerie.

BIG space to rent, many parking slots, but during night time the road to go in this cemetery is too dark, very dangerous!
