“Staying for two months at Taita Studio Málaga residency was quite an experience! I not only enjoyed the spacious and gallery-like workspace, but the proximity to restaurants, bus and train stations and the cultural center of Málaga. The bike provided a quick mode of transportation and relaxing trips to the beaches about 10 minutes from the apartment. Marta was on-hand nearby to help out with anything I needed to know about living in her nice, comfortable apartment and studio. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place to re-charge batteries and focus on a new body of work in complete privacy and support! I also appreciated the nice Open Studio reception at the end of my stay, which was coordinated and affiliated with a local gallery."

Wow, what a dream place! I was walking around Malaga city centre last week with my boyfriend (we both live in London), when we discovered this amazing oasis super close to the Carmen Thyssen Museum, and we fell in love. The space feels incredibly inspiring and peaceful, and her owner (which happened to be just upstairs the gallery doing her artwork) had a lovely chat with us about her inspirations, art, and life in the city. We really felt connected to her art and her stories. We will definitely visit Marta again as soon as we are back in the city, to carry on with the nice talk, and buy some more inspiring art!!! <3

La primera vez que entré al estudio quedé enamorada con la atmósfera tan acogedora y envolvente que había en el lugar. Desde ese momento sin dudarlo un segundo supe que quería ser compañera de Marta. Compartir espacio con ella en el estudio es todo un lujo. Me siento muy afortunada de compartir tardes de trabajo, té y charlas con ella. Y además poder admirar como trabaja en sus obras tan inspiradoras y sanadoras tan de cerca me parece precioso. Crear arte en un lugar tan especial realmente sale solo muy agradecida.

Marta’s studio is a very charming and cozy space which has makes you feel you are in the countryside even though it’s right in the city center of Malaga. Marta has a great sensitivity and you can feel it by looking at her artwork and workspace. She is open for questions about her creative process and surely you’ll also get a delicious cup of tea :)

Marta’s grounded and creative energy is so special. Her work is amazing and i couldn’t be prouder to own one of her pieces. Being in her studio and learning more about her processes and journey behind the pieces is always so inspiring! If you’re in Malaga I recommend booking an appt with her to see her work in person
