I'm extremely disappointed with the cake I ordered. As soon as I picked it up and headed to the car, the cake completely fell apart. Not only was it poorly constructed, but it also wasn't properly frozen, making the whole experience even worse. When I returned to the shop to address the issue, they not only refused to acknowledge their mistake but were also incredibly rude about it. What's bothering me is they said I "fell"with the cake and have footage of it. I grant them full permission to show the footage. It's frustrating that they're making up stories instead of listening to customers. It seems like they have a new chef, given how he treated me. The main chef was on vacation, and it's clear the replacement's lacks experience and customer service skills. This level of customer service is absolutely unacceptable. Honestly, I should’ve seen the reviews for the past month which clearly proves my point. Wouldn’t recommend .

I ordered a cake and was told it was going to be ready at 7:00 I arrive at 7:00 and big lineup of people waiting to order sweets (picking and choosing). I asked the girl at the cash do i have to wait in line to pick up the cake? She says yes everyone is waiting! So i wait in line and after 20 mins I’m paying i tell the girl after she had to look back and forth for my cake in the different fridges.. i tell her a lady picked up the cake and payed without standing in line.. she says: well I can’t read your mind! I then lost my temper and told her you don’t need to read my mind i told the other girl that I had a pick up!! She says: well I don’t know what to tell you.. Basically one of them was stupid and the other one was rude and manerless! Both with zero logic and no idea what customer service is. I will never go back again.

Today is my daughter's birthday I ordered a cake last Monday and I was supposed to pick up the cake in the evening and when I went there to my surprise there was no birthday cake ordered in my name . This was the first time I ordered cake from La Brioche as it was a very special birthday for her . I was almost in tears and of course I was angry . So ultimately I had to buy a regular cake from that shop and the salesman didn't even care to give me any discount rsther he asked me to go to the other store which is almost 20 min drive then I had to request him to call and confirm . He said the cake was not ordered .. Very bad experience as a first time customer. I find the salesman very rude . Next time I will not buy anything from there and I will not refer anyone to buy stuff from there . Zero star .

Honestly hate to put a bad review out especially because the workers were very friendly and accommodating but truth be told the cakes are veryyyy dry. I dont know about the whole ones but when it comes to the individual small ones maybe 2 out of the entire box we purchased was good. And 2 of them especially tasted like they had been in the store for a couple of days (extremely dry). When it comes to the gelato/ice cream it was $6 for a scoop. Really regretted it because as soon as i got a taste i had to throw it out, would have been okay with the price as long as it tasted fine atleast. Not sure if it was the particular flavour i got but i just couldn’t get the taste out of my mouth even after downing a few beverages, felt really sick after

I ordered a fruit cake for a birthday and they gave me the wrong cake when we cut the cake it was no fruit it was dry not fresh, when I called in explaining that it was the wrong cake the lady by the name Zahera she has poor customer service she doesn’t have the ability to handle customer’s complaint she was rude and she start to have arguments with me and all my call was to tell her it was a wrong cake I have been a customer for 20 years at the Bank Gleeb location and the desserts, cake always fresh and customer service is the best but for the last year and so it’s not the same, however, I will not go back neither recommend it, I am sure old customer like me they already discovered this.

Very good selection of Lebanese and French pastry. The service is fast and friendly. Prices are comparable to other Lebanese pastry shops in town. Tried the Kallaj and Znoud El-Sit, which are pastries filled with Ashta (similar to ricotta cheese) and they were both ok. The Ashta filling was generous but the texture and flavor were just ok. I'll update the review once I've tried some of their other products. **Update (Sep 2018)** Very good knefi. Generous portion and has a thinner bun so you can really taste the knefi. Tried both the cheese and the ashta knefi. I liked the cheese, but not the ashta.

They are selling expired cakes. Don’t waste your money their I am really frustrated, and not expected bad customer service from labrioche staff I want it to replace the cake with the fresh one which was smelly, and it could be the cream was expired or it was from 2 or days ago wasn’t fresh at all completely different terrible test which I experienced. Even right the way one of my friend start coughing because of it, and right in front of them I throw it to their garbage bin, We got ignored completely by the staff, very cheap people they neither replace it nor refund. I don’t recommend this.

This is the bakery to visit to enjoy some deserts. This is the best place to get cheesecake it was delicious and made to perfection. I also enjoyed the Black Forest cake and tiramisu cake as well. The Balaclava had a wide selection with different toppings and types and I enjoyed the ones I selected. The Server was also very nice and you can’t beat the price I was surprised my bill was less than 20 with so much options selected. I recommend a visit to this bakery.

When I saw a customer complaining about the presentation of her order, in my head I was laughing until I got home and saw how they packed 4 pcs of knafe in one package. Im never going to get Desert from this place again. Waste of money and an embarrassment. Edit: Went back to store and they where happy to give me another knafe in a bigger container. Message to the owner: your prices are not cheap. Use some of the profits to give customers presentable packaging.

In reply to Rita Bedros, we had showed you the cake before you had left to which it was in perfect condition for you to walk away with it. our cameras tell us you had fell outside with it which makes that your fault and not ours. you came in and our wonderful employees were patient with you despite your behaviour, we still wanted you to walk out happy and gave you a free medium sized cake. if your not happy with this kind of service your welcome to leave

I am genuinely in shock - this place puts every Lebanese pastry I've ever had to SHAME! The young lady who served us was so so nice, happy to answer questions and was just a genuinely sweet person. I can't say enough good about this place. The cream wardats are out of this world, the baklava is amazing - nothing is too sweet and you can taste the high quality ingredients used. I will be back, I will send all my friends - keep up the amazing work! <3

We stopped in after visiting the barber shop across from this bakery, they treated us to a piece while we were there and we had to give this place a try! Baklava is yummy, the lady who served us patiently explained the sweetness & flavours since it was our first time buying these sweets. I can’t quite comment if it’s better than other places because we haven’t been to other bakeries yet, but for newbies… we’re happy with the quality!

Visually stunning but flavourfully disappointing. Carrot cake was like a sponge, missing the mouthfeel of a normal carrot cake with carrot and raisins and the icing was sugar icing as opposed to cream cheese. It also had a thick top layer of some kind of orange gelatin. Chocolate cheese cake was visually good and flavour was good too but again; too much sugar. Another desert we purchased was visually attractive but flavourless

Ordered a cake for my sons birthday. Design was absolutely different, price changed from 65$ to 85$. Cake was dry. When I called her she had attitude and was saying that I was lying. Hung the phone up and once I called again she talked and hung up in my face. I asked her to pull up the cameras to see what I said and she wouldn’t accept. Again, she did not mention there was going to be extra charge. Wouldn’t recommend!

Love love love this place. The baklava is to DIE FOR. Everything is super fresh, their cakes look amazing (I haven't had occasion to order yet), their pastries are rich and satisfying and the prices are so cheap you feel like you're stealing. I stop in whenever I'm in the neighborhood, and pig out on baklava for DAYS with just $10 worth. Highly recommend if you're craving a sweet treat!

The customer service was good but the little cakes are old and dry. And too sweet i did not like them at all and will not be coming here form the cakes again. Its was gross and disappointing EDIT: I was poking around trying to eat the soft parts of the cakes and I found a hair in my mango cake. Very disappointed I was really hoping this place was good

One of the best pastries in the town! I am obsessed with the Kanafa sandwiches and the Middle Eastern sweets. The female employees are super nice. I was lost to pick good ones but they offered me testers which was really helpful! What I like about the sweets in here is that t’s very fresh and delicious. Photos can’t do the justice, it’s much better and yummier on the site!

It was on the day of Eid. Me and my wife were standing on line to order something. We waited for a long time for our turn but didn’t mind as there were lot of customers but only one lady at the front. However, a guy long after us comes and speaks their native language and the lady serves him before us. At this moment I lose my head and go out without saying anything.

I just bought some sweets and I haven't even tried them yet and its sitting next to me but I wanted to write this review because I was blown away from their service. Zaina from the store was very helpful. I asked her for some recommendations because I was having a very specific craving and she helped me picked some good treats. Highly recommend this place.

This business prioritize their service based on customer's appearance, ethnicity and race. I usually do not write a bad review unless I have to. My recent experience at this location made me to post this comment so that Management would know how their employee(s) handling their customers and I am hoping they will make some effort to train their staff.

I bought 1/2 kg of cashew baklava and it’s DISGUSTING! It taste sooo old! It’s not crunchy and has no flavour at all! I had a sample of it and it was good. For $27/kg it’s not worth it. I bet the girl put me the old ones to go.. thank god there is sweet castle across the street. Which they have the same price. And it’s much better quality.

This is the best cake ive ever eaten i had 25 people bakery baker spoke to me on phone beforehand and customized a vanilla stawberry cream cake to perfection. It was fresh made the morning of reception and it was actually the star point of anything . It was incredible thank u cakemaker This is the place if u need party cake

I just discovered an awesome place. Their staff are doing an amazing job in term of customer servises, how quick they are, and the smile that they always have on their face. If you did not went there yet, let me tell you that you lost half of your life. I really recommended to check it out, and you won't regrt :)

Superb bakery! Tons of selection of cookies, cakes and pastries to the point where you want to bring home a bit of everything. The staff are always friendly and pleasant to talk to. Personal favourites from La Brioche would be their cheesecake slices and anything involving mousse or chocolate.

I ordered a cake for my wedding, it was the worst cake I seen in my life very bad design and it test not fresh, I don’t recommend this place at all don’t buy from them and when I called them to get my refund they refused and they didn’t answer my phone call again very bad customer service.

Never going to this branch again. Ordered 1kg Baklava mixed/gift. The lady tried to push a pre-packaged one which I declined. Once I got it, it felt light. So I weighed it at home with a digital scale. Turns out only 900gm including plastics plate &wrapping. This is basically cheating...

They have a huge selection of desserts that are honestly, underpriced. The staff is welcoming and inviting, and the new larger space is beautiful. Try the baklava for sure. We will definitely be coming back. I had chocolate cheesecake too!

Most of the pastries are fresh specially the large ones at the front that have ashtar fillings are so good when you too them with their syrup. I normally avoid buying any of their less popular sweets as I experienced they tend to be old.

I tried the pastry today and to be honest I think it's the best in Ottawa, the girls were really professional and the pastry was even better ! They wrapped it as a gift and I will be coming back again forsure keep up the good work

Really great place to satisfy your sweet tooth. The staff is friendly and service is quick. Little subpar in taste, compared to the original store located downtown. But made to order cakes have the freshest cream!

Just went there with kids, paid $25 for 14 items, amazing prices and super fresh pastries! Cheesecake is so tender and fresh... Yummy. Kids give 5 stars to this place!

We had an order for wedding and it was very bad quality. Just see the photos for the requested and the received Cakes. We return it back but they charged us $50.
