A Hidden Gem in San Francisco La Cuisine is a hidden gem nestled in the vibrant streets of San Francisco. From the moment I stepped foot inside this delightful café, I knew I had discovered something truly special. With its focus on breakfast and lunch, La Cuisine captivated my taste buds with its delectable offerings, leaving me with an unforgettable culinary experience. The first thing that struck me about La Cuisine was its cleanliness and inviting atmosphere. The café was impeccably maintained, exuding a warm and welcoming ambiance. The cozy interior, adorned with tasteful decor, created a charming and comfortable space to enjoy a meal. However, it wasn't just the ambiance that made La Cuisine stand out; it was the owner's exceptional hospitality that truly made my visit memorable. From the moment I entered, he greeted me with a genuine smile and made me feel like a cherished guest. His kindness and unique approach to customer service were unparalleled, as he took the time to engage in conversation and ensure that each customer felt special. Now, let's talk about the food. La Cuisine's menu boasts an array of breakfast and lunch options that cater to various tastes and preferences. Every dish I tried was an absolute delight, bursting with flavor and made with the utmost care. From the fluffy croissants to the savory sandwiches filled with fresh ingredients, each bite was a culinary revelation. What impressed me most about La Cuisine was its commitment to quality. The ingredients used were fresh and locally sourced, resulting in dishes that were both delicious and wholesome. The attention to detail and the evident passion for food shone through in every aspect of the dining experience. During my five-day stay in San Francisco, La Cuisine quickly became my go-to place to satisfy my cravings. I found myself eagerly anticipating each visit, eagerly exploring the diverse menu and savoring every morsel. The café's consistent excellence in both food and service reaffirmed my decision to make it my favorite dining spot in the city. In conclusion, I cannot recommend La Cuisine enough. With its exceptional food, welcoming ambiance, and the owner's genuine warmth, this café truly deserves a perfect score of 10/10. If you find yourself in San Francisco, do not miss the opportunity to indulge in the culinary delights that await you at La Cuisine. It is a place worth revisiting, and I would gladly return to this city just to experience its magic once more.

Nestled under a charmingly sleepy office building, sitting across from the UN Plaza, placed only steps away from Civic center station, La Cuisine is the epitome of SF hidden gems. You wouldn't think twice when passing it (the surrounding homeless population would surely catch your eye first), but if you ever had the chance to pop in it would likely be one of the most splendid and satisfying cafes you've ever been to. What La Cuisine lacks in space and location is made up for in artfully crafted, fresh, delicious cafe food; fresh pastries (sourced seemingly from the best bakery no one has ever heard of); and an intricate interior that makes you question how this little spot came to be. I wish I had more on that story, but until I do all i can say is some of the best cafe food I've ever had has come out of this spot. Please try them out :)

You'd never expect coffee, freshly ground to order, in such a baroque interior hidden in the Civic Center area. For the iced coffee I ordered, it looks like they made an espresso into an Americano which was then put in some ice. I don't know much about coffee and only ordered it because I wanted to sit down outside but it seems like a nice place to me. To get to the restroom, you'll have to go through a residential building, into a loading dock, and you'll be holding a key attached to some tongs. It's an interesting journey.

This place looked big in the pictures but actually small in person. The high ceilings were decorated with exquisite chandeliers. It’s a bit tight with cozy European cafe ambience. I ordered salad #4 with beets, avocado, capers, cherry tomatoes and lettuce etc - it was delish! My sister ordered a cappuccino while I got the latte with almond milk. price is reasonable for the city and customer service is excellent despite the busy lunch rush hour. I could try the sandwiches next time should I happen to be in the area again before or after watching a play in the Orpheum theater or ACT.

Beautiful European style coffee shop service fresh salads, sandwiches, and pastry. I went in today and the hospitality was amazing. Coffee properly done in the espresso machine and Callí (?) was so helpful. If I worked in the area, I’d go everyday. Their ham cheese croissant was so nice. It really felt like I was in Paris or Rome.

YUMMMYYYY!!! 10/10 recommend this place for breakfast! Feels like you’re into Europe! The little tables, small elegant vibe, with impressive windows and chandelier! I loved the coffee and the lox bagel was *chefs kiss* I would come here all the time if I lived closer. Maybe the best croissant I’ve had in the states! A little hidden (we walked by 2x) but that makes it even more fun right?! Come thru get some food, fresh coffee and don’t forget to tip!
They serve Verve coffee! Super cute place on Market Street, I had a late latte here but want to come back for lunch. They were almost out of bakery and pastry items which is always a good sign. High ceiling and nice setup made it very inviting. Definitely a transition from the chaos outside.
