Our family has been excited to try La Diperie all summer and we finally went last night. We asked the employees how it worked and they pointed out the frozen cheesecake and talked about the ice cream. Since most other pictures and advertisements show dipped, soft ice cream, that’s what we decided to try. After we ordered, they told us they didn’t have soft ice cream. They also said we could order hard ice cream but only in a dish and they couldn’t dip it, just ladle toppings on like anywhere else that serves sundaes. One of our kids ordered hard chocolate ice cream (in a cup) with cookie dough topping and gummy bears. After they scooped the ice cream they told us they didn’t have gummy bears so the ordered changed to rainbow sprinkles. Another family member ordered lemon-lime sherbet. I didn’t order anything since they didn’t have what we came to get. We got barely one scoop in each dish, charged extra for toppings we didn’t want and just the ice cream was $4.99 each, toppings extra. Came to over $12.00. Portion size was terrible. Employees assured us they would have soft ice cream next time. I should’ve checked Google reviews before going. Cookie dough topping was so bad, we couldn’t eat it. Very disappointing visit. Won’t return. Advertisements and web page don’t match the products at all.
This location is located inside a Mr. Sub shop. The Mr. Sub staff service both the sub side and the La Diperie side. Consequently, with only two staff available for the Mr. Sub front counter, the La Diperie front counter and the Mr. Sub drive thru, service was extremely slow. So slow that I put a piece of cheesecake I had chosen out of the fridge back in it. I went specifically to get my husband carrot cake. It was listed on the flyer that we received in the mail a few days ago. The Mr. Sub clerk was totally unaware of what products were available. He basically just said he guessed they didn't have any. I asked him if they friend the donuts fresh there. He said no, them came in frozen and they prepared them from frozen. ( I am not sure how as I did not see a deep fat fryer or any place they could possibly prepare them.) I ended up getting two pieces of Oreo cake for my husband and a piece of what was supposed to be "Cinnabon" cheesecake. Total came to almost $30. Overpriced, questionable quality (it wasn't cheese cake, it was some cake with some overly sugary something on top) and poor service. I know they just opened, but I didn't see any sort of enthusiasm from the employees that would make me think things would be different in the future. We won't be back.
Purchased an Oreo Ice Cream cake back in late April for a Birthday from the Rymal store, worst ice cream cake ever. Kids took one, maybe two bites and found that it was freezer burnt and unfit for consumption, and thats saying a lot for a family that LOVES ice cream cakes. Parents verified, cake was sealed very well but must have thawed out more than once and refroze, even the sponge layers were in crystallized. 95% cake thrown out. Called the store to offer feedback and let them know. Spoke to an employee and apparently it’s a known issue, the owner would rather sell products that are bad than take a loss. Employee said that even the slices are like this. They relayed my message and said the owner would return my call, Nothing! Called back to talk to the owner in an effort to relay my experience, employee stated that the owner said he’d return my call in 10-15 minutes, Nothing. Another employee said they don’t eat or recommend anything off the menu to friends/family (now that’s reassuring) Wasn’t looking for a refund, although that’s what good customer service would dictate. The fact that they are knowingly selling a freezer full of garbage makes me wonder what the rest of their standards are like.
TERRIBLE customer service and extremely rude staff. Ordered from Skip The Dishes on December 9th at 6PM and they sent the wrong order with a note saying “all we had left”. My husband called to ask why they didn’t call us to ask us what we would like instead and the (incredibly rude) staff member lied and told him she tried to call and no one answered. When we asked her what phone number she had, she blatantly lied again and said the one he was calling from - but we ordered it from MY cellphone and he was calling from his work phone which has no apps on it. When he explained this and told her that what she was saying was a lie, she told him she won’t deal with him if he’s going to call her a liar and hung up the phone. This is very childish behaviour that in unacceptable in the service industry. My family and I will not be supporting this business any longer.
Just ordered from this location off of Skip. 2 of 3 items were completely wrong and a total waste of $50. On one of the wrong orders a note was written saying "this was all we had left" which was birthday cake cookie dough. When I asked the employee why they didn't bother calling to see if we wanted something different she claims she did and called the very number I was calling from - which was a total lie because I called from my company cell phone which has no affiliation to anything personal including Skip. The order was placed from my wife's cell phone. What a joke. After I told her that was a lie she got rude and just hung up. If you're the owner reading this, do yourself a favor and get some staff that cares about your business because as you can see with the other Google reviews, your employees don't care. I'll be sure not to use this location again
We went there with coupons we got in mail said buy 1 ice cream cup get one 99cents and they said we couldn't use it after we ordered...also I ordered a dipped cone ...the vanilla ice cream tasted like curdled milk almost like cheese...also the sub shop closed 15 mins early and customers wernt able to get a sub at Mr sub...they came from caledonia and they said sorry we close early because we dont get paid to stay later ...no wonder why they have poor business..shame on store manager for this...and rushing us out with our 3 nieces because he said to hurry up because they are closing...also no labels or dates on the cakes slices and or ingredient lists ...also they dont have any ice cream or yogurt for diabetics ...was not impressed at all it was a let down for us all
Stopped by the other night knowing Dairy Queen would have a huge lineup and I just wanted a small soft serve cup with chocolate dip, the girl said they were out of milk chocolate for dipping but they had 30 other choices which I didn’t want but she scraped out the can and made it work , I paid drove home 5 minute drive the ice cream never melted at all I started eating it the chocolate tasted like and old waxy candle and the ice cream was gritty not smooth at all , waste of 6 bucks I couldn’t eat it , I left it on my counter an hour later still wasn’t melted talk about modified milk fake ice cream, never again
The customer service is non existent at this place, the staff was rude, they offered us samples just to actually take donuts out of our original box. Dont offer samples just to take it out of my original order then be mad giving rude faces. The donuts aren’t even good they’re not fresh, baked in the oven for like 5 seconds then the guy barely puts any toppings on it AND the toppings are stale as hell. Will not be coming back here whatsoever! Explains why its always dead driving by. Go to Mr. Puffs instead.
We arrived and were told by the staff that the majority of the items on the menu were not in stock. Literally of the four menu boards, only one menu had items on it - just dipped cones and hard ice cream. Only had waffle cones and still charged the premium for waffle cones despite not having another option. Will never return
Like make reviews stated, was missing half the menu items. Ordered an ice cream but was told only after the dip was added that they didn't have the topping I wanted, or the three other toppings I chose as an alternative, and so I refused to pay for the ice cream and left.
Extremely rude employees that gave us dirty looks as we ordered a large amount of items, although we were the only customers in the store. The donuts we had bought were cold and dry when calling over the phone they had told us they make
Just went here with my daughter and wasted almost $20 on ice cream. There were holes in the bottom of our cones and they were dripping all over us and in my vehicle, and the ice cream wasn't even good. Not going back ever again.
No soft serve , no donuts, no cookies, 2 mr sub teenage girls rudely told me that the only food available were the frozen items in freezer, no labels and no dates on the items. Will never return. Close the store.
Many of the cheesecakes appear to have freezer burn and the soft serve ice cream had clumps in it. They offered hard ice cream but by that time I felt sick. If you go, stick to the hard ice cream!
The store is also run by the same Mr. Sub employees. The service wasn’t amazing and the soft serve ice cream was broken. I would try another location for hopefully a better experience.
Don't go by the bad reviews. The Ice Cream and Service were great. We came with two small kids and the employees were very sweet to both. Looking forward to our next visit.
Super disappointed my last 2 visits they no longer have choc/vanilla soft serve...vanilla only and their servings and toppings are getting smaller with each visit!
$15 for two pathetic cones. They have no idea what they're doing and don't even offer half the things on their menu. Total garbage never go back.
Soft serve ice cream is gritty and has a bad flavour. The dark chocolate sea salt also had a strange taste. Will not be returning.
Just ordered through Uber eats, and I would not recommend.. the donuts were stail and some hard.. :/ not worth $30
Bought an Ice cream cake for my husband’s birthday and it was freezer burnt. Not ordering from there again.
Over priced, customer service was terrible! it seemed like we were a inconvenience to the subway staff.
Terrible ice cream. The soft serve came out watery and was served like that. Will not return.
Didn’t have half of what showed on the menu. Soft serve has weird bits in in.
Great service! Very friendly and ice cream was amazing with so many options!
Uhh tasty. I can’t imagine a more beautiful thing
Not recommended. Buy from a different location.
Unbelievably bad service.
