TL;DR Ordered on Uber Eats, got moldy cheesecake, employees denied it was mold before and after I brought the cheesecake to them in person. No apology or ownership of the issue. Employees kept repeating that it was supposed to look like that and then blamed Cheesecake Factory. Called Health Inspector as employees weren’t at all concerned (completely denied) that they are selling moldy food to people. I ordered two Classic Cheesecake Slices through Uber Eats. When my order arrived I opened the paper bag and in the clear clamshell containers I saw a significant amount of what looked like mold. I made sure to open the container and smell the items as well as tasting a bit just to make sure I wasn’t overreacting. It is/was undeniably mold. I called the store and the first employee (female) didn’t seem to believe what I was saying (“thats how it looks” “It comes from Cheesecake Factory”) and transferred me to another employee. I explained my issue and he said “thats how its supposed to look” (without seeing it) and then again said it all comes from the Cheesecake Factory, implying its not their problem. Advised me to call Uber? Made no attempt to placate me, he just kept telling me its not mold as if I was just making it up. I didn’t ask for a replacement or compensation. I wanted an apology and for someone to look into the issue and make sure they aren’t inadvertently selling moldy food to others. They were completely unbothered and just denied it. I started getting frustrated with the response I was getting. I told him I would come there in person so he could taste and smell the product and then tell me it wasn’t mold. I arrived at the store and it was extremely busy. Employees didnt bother acknowledging I was there intil I repeatedly asked to speak to the person I spoke to on the phone. The male employee looked at the containers and told me again “thats just how it looks”, smelled the product and said it was fine. It is very clear that it is not fine. I would have been satisfied with an apology and an acknowledgment that it is in fact, mold. Instead, the employees told me in front of a full store over and over that “Thats just how it looks” or “It comes from the Cheesecake Factory” as if I was an idiot- I have ordered the exact same thing many times, I know what its supposed to look like. I was by this point very angry and after getting nowhere, I told the male employee I would be contacting the Health Department since they didn’t seem concerned about food safety issues. I left, taking my $20 mold with me. Called 311 and an inspector called me back quickly- they will follow up with the restaurant and investigate. I understand things happen (especially with third party suppliers) but this whole situation could have been avoided if the employees I spoke to had just apologized, taken responsibility for the product they sold me and asked me if I wanted a replacement instead of arguing with me. Ive included pictures here. I may sound like Im making a big deal out of nothing, but its the reaction of the staff that set me off- If they had been apologetic and at least pretended to be concerned about a food safety issue, I would have just dealt with Uber. Instead, they argued, tried to gaslight me, and ultimately did nothing about it. I will never purchase anything from this restaurant again- I would suggest others consider their lack of concern about what is a potentially unsafe food product before visiting. Either their employee doesnt know what mold smells and looks like or they were being intentionally dishonest.

La Diperie in Oakville is a true gem for dessert enthusiasts like myself. From the moment I stepped foot in this delightful establishment, I was greeted with warm smiles and an inviting ambiance. The experience that followed was nothing short of heavenly. The star of the show, without a doubt, is the unique and creative soft-serve ice cream creations they offer. La Diperie takes soft-serve to a whole new level with their vast selection of mouthwatering dips and toppings. The range of flavors is impressive, catering to every palate imaginable. From classic options like chocolate and vanilla to more adventurous choices such as matcha or lavender, the possibilities are endless. What sets La Diperie apart is the attention to detail and the care that goes into each dessert. The ice cream is creamy, smooth, and perfectly balanced in flavor. The dips are rich, indulgent, and add a delightful crunch to every bite. The presentation of each cone or cup is a work of art, making it almost too beautiful to eat. Almost. The staff at La Diperie Oakville is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always willing to offer recommendations and create personalized creations. Their passion for their craft shines through, making every visit a joyous experience. The service is efficient, ensuring you never have to wait long to indulge in your sweet treat. The atmosphere inside the shop is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy your dessert with friends or family. The seating area is comfortable, and the vibrant decor adds a touch of whimsy to the entire experience. Whether you're visiting for a quick pick-me-up or looking for a place to satisfy your sweet tooth, La Diperie Oakville is an absolute must-visit. In conclusion, La Diperie Oakville is a dessert lover's paradise. The exceptional quality of their ice cream, the wide variety of flavors, and the impeccable service make this place deserving of a full five-star rating. If you're in Oakville and crave a unique and decadent dessert experience, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to La Diperie. You won't be disappointed!

I recently dined at la diperie with my friends and had an unfortunate experience that I feel compelled to share. During my visit, I encountered a situation that made me deeply uncomfortable and, frankly, hurt. I believe it's important to bring this to light. While ordering my meal, I observed an incident of racism within the restaurant. They are not welcoming with our group, also we are group of 9 people and everyone is ordering their choice of dessert. We needs some time to finalised the order. Half of us placed the order and others are still looking for what to order. And one of my friend asked to the pop stick with the crew. The crew asked his other colleague that if we still have that particular one in their stock and other lady told him i do have but I don’t wanna give to these guys and unfortunately i heard this from the other side. The response from the restaurant staff to this incident was inadequate, and it left me feeling unsupported as a customer. Racism has no place in our society, let alone in a restaurant where people should feel welcomed and treated with respect. I hope La diperie takes this matter seriously and takes steps to address it, both in terms of staff training and fostering a more inclusive environment. As someone who values diversity and inclusivity, I was deeply disappointed by this experience. I hope my feedback serves as an opportunity for growth and improvement for La diperie. This review emphasizes the importance of addressing racism while maintaining a respectful tone. Your aim is to draw attention to the issue and encourage positive change. I hope could rate 0 rating for this incident. And i do not want to visit next time at this location. Poor hospitality.

I had the worst experience at this store tonight. I went in at around 9:30 to buy a little treat after a movie night. When I arrived there was only one couple ahead of me and only one staff member working. It took him 10 minutes to get their order ready ( which was a soft serve cone dipped and doughnuts ). At this point I was agitated because I was waiting for so long to even order and when I did I order one of the specialty ice creams only to be told that they didn’t have it. I proceeded to order two hot chocolates and the tried to order just an ice cream dipped. However, I was told that “we have no ice cream”. How was there no ice cream if the young lady in front of me just ordered an ice cream not 5 minutes before. I was so confused but I still wanted by hot chocolates which took another 6 minutes to make. By the time I had gotten out every ice cream shop near this one had closed. I could have driven home, made my own hot chocolate and stopped and another store to buy an ice cream and driven back before my order was done. This is infuriating and is an unacceptable business model only having one staff member and not having the main item in stock!!!

While the ice cream and dip are delicious, when you pay $9 I would expect not to be ripped off by serving a hollow cone. It was clear that their method is to line just the inside of the cone and leave a gaping hole in the middle to save on ice cream. You don’t know this until you are outside and take your first bite off the top of the soft serve dip. Not cool and I will go to Streetsville location from now on. By the way, both mine and my husbands cone were done this way. Response to owner below: I think I was very clear as to what you can do better. Don’t ´fake’ an ice cream cone that costs $9 by not actually filling the cone with ice cream. I have never seen this anywhere else before for a soft serve cone and it’s cheap and does not look good on you.

Service was absolutely awful. The owner was aggressive and rude both times we had been. He yelled at me because I didn’t “tell him soon enough” that we wanted chocolate dip, while he hadn’t even finished scooping the ice cream. He literally walked away from me as I was ordering so I didn’t get the chance to tell him. Was such a long wait time for absolutely no reason and the ice cream is half melted by the time you get it. Very overpriced for what you’re getting and the quality really isn’t that much better than chocolate you could just get at Bulk Barn. Will NOT be going back.

I always want to love this place but I'm always left underwhelmed. For the price, I don't think it's worth it. I ordered the rainbow cake and it legitimately had no flavor. It was pretty though. I was expecting it to be super sweet, but instead it was flavorless. There was no inbetween. It was like tasting air. Also ordered the mini donuts with cinnamon sugar..meh. Harvey's sells the same ones and those are like tiny Tom knock offs. Anyway I think La Diperie is mediocre at best. Hate to say it. I will say, their mini donuts with all the fun toppings are good though!

I had read the 1 star reviews and ignored them thinking I should give it a chance because of all the good reviews. The negative reviews are accurate and spot on. I regret going here. It has overpriced icecream, flavorless, and very poor customer service. They are very stingy in toppings. Most people I saw going there were new customers, it doesn't look like they have any repeat customers. See the photos for yourself, those are the toppings after we paid double and triple for having an amount of toppings put that other parlours out as standard.

La Diperie is an overrated money grab at an attempted “niche” and “one of a kind” dessert type. All of their ice creams are vanilla soft-serves dipped in different creams that come in bags and are poured, then melted. Their prices are typical of that of a DT Oak ice cream place: ~$7 for a regular. Somewhat disappointed because the cone was hollow in the center… I would go back again, since the ice cream dips & variety are good, but I much prefer better dipped ice cream places, such as Sweet Jesus.

Went there yesterday. We got ice cream scoops each. The flavor was amazing! We got strawberry sorbet and mint with chocolate chip. Small scoop portion was fair for the price. It was just super hot inside. I think the AC wasn’t working. The employees weren’t too welcoming but that’s probably why. All in all I definitely do recommend this place. Great flavor till the last bite! It never ran out of flavor!

  • Amber Eadie

Paid $9 for a large ice cream but it ends up being highway robbery because they make the ice cream hallow inside. The large is just an illusion. I don't think it's a one time thing either because I can see many other reviews now that say the same thing. They need to start giving people the ice cream they paid for. I'm going to stop coming now even though I really like the location and dip flavours.

The place was hot as hell, which probably explains why my milkshake was more like a soup. Took so long for my order to be ready that my boyfriend was done with his ice cream by then. They gave me the milkshake with no whipped cream so I asked for some (assuming they come with some as the pictures suggest) then they asked me to pay again for the whipped cream! Amazing!!

  • Farhad Nizamuddin

Excellent customer service and very clean restaurant. Variety of options to choose from, which could be confusing at first looking at all that yummy treats. But the employee was kind enough to give out the inside scoop of what to choose and how to decide. I went with the Le Roche which was exceptional. Would love to go back again to try other items on the menu.

Very good customer service. Though we had to wait outside for about 5 minutes due to covid. There is a variety of options to choose from. We went with one scoop of mango flavour and it was delicious. Loved it. Enjoyed the ixe cream in hot summer. I would definitely try with another option when I visit this place again.

  • iqra khan

The service was pathetic, very rude staff. Asked the staff for tasting a flavour, they denied rudely, asked them for some customization they denied again. The lady was not at all professional, was looking at people who were taking some time to customize their order with such a rude look. Would never visit again

  • Silver D

Stay away - this place is a rip off, they are so STINGY with the dips! Even the ice cream was not the same quantity you get in other La Diperie's. We had to go back and ask for proper dip coverage but even then felt like we were robbed!! The one in downtown Toronto is wayyy better...stay away from this branch!!

  • Nandita Wise

Still digesting surprised how rude they were! They didn’t have chocolate soft ice cream, so my daughter paused a moment to decide, and they abruptly went on to the next customer. There was only the two of us and two there in the store. I regret not leaving asap. Absolutely no customer service skills. Ugh!

  • Jordan Vaughan

Horrible milkshakes made with convenient store bought fake Nestle milkshakes.... So gross I had to throw it in the trash and go get a real milkshake from Marble Slab. also to add the kid working had Gino music playing so loud you couldn't think... Would NEVER go there again.

  • Tika Carpenter

They serve both soft serve and scooped icream. Typical prices but not typical product. These employees hollow out the cups and Cones to give the illusion of value. I'd say, save your money and go somewhere else. there are plenty of ice cream and Gelato shops along the strip.

  • jocvtlyn yt

I had such an amazing experience here. the employees were so incredibly helpful since it was my first time there. and the ice cream was insanely good and affordable! definitely will be back! if you find free time, you need to check this place out as soon as possible!

  • Rachael

My cheesecake was ok. It was sweet which was good. Definitely one of the lower-end cheesecakes I've had. The texture was so off. It tasted like it had freezer burn. The whipped cream (or frosting, not sure what its supposed to be) was hard and cold. $10 wasted..

  • Indre Ra

It’s good ice cream, lots of dip flavours and toppings options, but was surprised to find a hole right in the middle of my ice cream. What’s the point of selling a “big” size if it’s half empty? It might as well just be sold as regular size then.

  • Tanya Vohra

Ice cream - absolutely delicious. The only reason I won't give it 5 stars is because I asked about a peanut allergy and could have done without the sass I got. The owner (?) clearly doesn't take it seriously. I was mansplained, very slowly,

  • richard martins

A few bad experiences today for my first visit. 1st they did not honour coupon which stated buy one and get one for $0.99. They said second ice cream has to be small size and coupon states nothing. 2nd didn’t want to accept cash saying they

Finally! A dessert place open past 10:00pm on a Saturday in Oakville! This place is popping on a weekend night and offers a huge variety of desserts from doughnuts and ice cream, to cheesecake and milkshakes! The ambiance isn’t all that

  • Prads RK

They have a huge variety of menu to choose from. Polite friendly staff. There was a queue due to covid restrictions, only 5 people were allowed at one time inside, which is perfectly okay.. Loved the Mango icecream I tried out here.

  • Calvin Gatez

This place is very sneaky and unfair with their portion. A $7 medium cup and they purposely hollow out the middle. They did this for all orders. Unfortunately they do have good selection and flavours if you don’t mind being robbed.

  • Fatima Ansar

Best customer service!! Had such a wonderful time speaking with Anis and Sanchi. They were both so accommodating and incredibly sweet by taking their time with our orders. It was a joy to meet them, thank you guys!!

Staff was really nice. I felt the dip lacked a bit of flavour (birthday cake). It would be good to go back & try a different flavour and see how it compares! The prices were good too
