I have to update my previously glowing review. The last two times I came in to try their CroBrio, aka Cronut, it was not good. I don't know what happened, but it tastes totally wrong now, and not anything like a cronut. The inside was super soft, the dough was tasteless and again barely any custard. Cronuts should be slightly crispy or flaky on the inside. The entire concept was a donut with the texture of a croissant, and when done right, they taste amazing. The first time really was amazing, but the last two, not so much. This was over the course of a couple weeks. Maybe they have a problem with consistency or something, or this was a new baker. I don't know, but, I'm not interested in trying these again. oh well.... I guess the hunt continues for cronuts in Austin. Luckily, they have some other items which taste consistently good like their caramel éclair. I've had these a couple times and they have been amazing every time. I also found a new item which I also like. Their Raspberry Rose Lychee Ispahan. An Ispahan is kind of like a giant macaron, which they also have a selection of incidentally. -- original review: One morning I woke up and had an intense craving for a cronut. Cronuts are like a cross between a donut and a croissant, with a custard filling in the middle. Did Austin even have cronuts? I did an search and here we are... They can't call them cronuts since the name is probably trademarked, as is kronuts, so they call them CroBrio instead. Which is weird, since I'm not even sure what that stands for, but I'm sure it sounded great when they thought it up. Whatever they call them, they were awesome! And exactly what I needed to fulfill my urgent medical cronut need. As an added plus, this location looks super snug and cute with an laid back outdoor patio, and local neighborhood vibe.
I love flaky pastries and a cup of coffee with a good book (who doesn't) and I can't believe I never knew about this place. I ordered the night before for pickup in the morning which ultimately didn't seem to make a difference since I had to wait for my coffee to be made and the pastries to be bagged. That's understandable as I don't want luke warm coffee but I'll place my order in person in the future. I ordered a latte w/coconut milk and a hazelnut additive and it was delicious! I usually have a bitter cold brew in the mornings so this was a nice sweet treat. Unfortunately, I accidentally dropped my coffee cup while I was exiting my car at home but c'est la vie The Millefeuille was wonderfully flaky and had a carmelized taste that I enjoyed. This one is definitely a repeat for me. The Seasonal Peppermint Eclair was inedible for me. The peppermint flavored chocolate in the middle was overpowering and unpalatable. My lips were tingling from the peppermint oil afterwards but on the plus side, my breath was freeeesh. The Opera cake seemed at first glance to be dry but I saw other reviews and allowed it to come to room temperature before enjoying it later that day. As I hope the photos show, the sponge was moist and crumbly. The level of coffee flavor was perfect for me but the chocolate was a too thick for my liking. Due to the slightly stale quality of the eclair and the opera cake, I can't give 5 stars but I will continue to patronage La Patisserie and adjust my review as needed. Edit: Bumping up to 5 stars because those macarons are DELICIOUS! WOW.
Get here early if you want to have the most choices of macarons! They run out and I'm not even kidding. As far as the flavors and quality of the macarons .. they really are the best that I have ever had. I do enjoy their other pastries too but I will never drive by this place without grabbing at least a couple of macarons. I have tried macarons in France, NY, and LA but these are still the best out of them all. The location is tiny so there is limited space for parking but this area is pretty friendly to pedestrians so don't worry about parking a bit down the street and taking a stroll to get here. The staff is always friendly and their presentation of the pastries is very cute and hospitable. The interior does not have that much seating but somehow manages to have a small kiddy play area in the corner of the room so they are definitely kid-friendly! I always bring out-of-towners here and also take macarons to family who lives out of town also. That goes to show how much I love these guys and take pride in their ability to put a smile on your face. *they usually have rose and lavender if you get there before they run out - these are both really worth trying* love love love .. love this place If you get a macaroon that's not chew on the inside then ask them to change yours out!
I drove from Kyle to get a fresh pastry because of all the good reviews. Well, my experience was less than satisfying. My husband and I chose the Almond croissant, that little chocolate thing ($5.25) and since I have never had a macaroon, I asked for one of those. The croissant looked right but was dry, bready not flakey and actually stale tasting. I thought they baked fresh daily because I had read that they discount the last hour and selection runs sparse. That little chocolate thing was a pricey bite of bland tasting goo with the mouthfeel of cornstarch. The best bite was the macaroon but it wasn’t what I expected. It was like a bite of cake with a dab of frosting in the middle but at least it was edible. I was expecting a crispy shell like crust, maybe a soft chewy (cookie like?) center and a flavorful filling. I had read that they are made with egg white, ground almonds and powdered sugar so I imagined a different experience. Those 3 items were not worth the trip or the $12.30 price tag. Our table by the front window was so rickety that we didn’t dare order drinks. We had to ask for silverware and I got a paper towel from the bathroom because there was no napkins offered to us. The place is quaint but far from comfortable and what we had was nothing special.
After trying this place several times this year, we won’t be back anytime soon. The service is lovely, and the space is cute. The presentation on the items is generally ok as well. As much as we want to love this place, everything we’ve purchased has ended up in the trash. Honestly we kept thinking we were coming in on off days, but after several visits, I don’t think that’s the case. My experience has been that the cake and macarons are ok at best. I have not tried other items, so some of those may be better. Most recently, we were sold slices of cake that were horribly stale. They may have been fine when they were fresh, but they clearly should have been thrown out long before we purchased them. The cake has been ok on other occasions but nothing special. The macarons are the big disappointment. They have an unpleasant artificial taste (possibly from both the food coloring and flavor used) and lacked the light, slightly crispy exterior that is characteristic for the cookie. Some flavors are better than others, but I would purchase the macarons out of the freezer section at Trader Joe’s over these.
La Patisserie is a cute little bakery that represents the charm and appeal of Austin that draws people to the city. It is also located next to the Austin mural for those who are visiting and want to take a nice photo. Inside they have a wide selection of baked goods, both sweet and savory. I ordered an orange macaron sandwiched with a layer of cream filling and coated with candied orange peels. I can’t remember the exact name, so if anyone happens to know please help me out because I would order 5 more of these easily. The macaron texture was perfectly chewy which paired well with the light but sturdy cream. The candied orange peels were probably some of the best I’ve ever had and tied the entire dessert together very well. The mouthfeel when taking a bite was extremely satisfying, and after eating it I didn’t feel too heavy like I would with other desserts which I really appreciated. Overall I really enjoyed my visit to La Patisserie and would happily recommend everyone to stop by and grab a treat (or 5).
Mouth-watering macarons that you never want to stop eating and splendid service! The texture and flavor of these macarons were actually incredible, and based on the quality of these macarons, I've finally begun to understand why these things are expensive. Definitely worth it in my opinion. Top marks to the smooth taste and floral fragrance of the lavender macaron and the gritty flavor bomb of the pistachio. My girlfriend said the chocolate espresso was also very good. The service was equally as pleasant, with the employee giving us great recommendations and explanations of the flavors and process behind making these delectable tidbits. Big tip -- check in with Yelp to get the free macaron. The employee was even nice enough to throw in an extra free macaron, which was amazing! There's also the infamous "Greetings from Austin" mural just beside the shop so make sure to incorporate that on your trip here!
Their cakes are good. But it doesn't matter when they take your money, give you a 1 hr pick up window and are not even open to give you the order. I tried calling the number of the store and noone answered. A kind gentleman from the business next door called the owner and ....nothing. They do not care. Definitely NOT worth driving for. Definitely CANNOT be relied on. Order at your own risk. Edit: To the concerned owner below: (1) if you would like proof of my order, feel free to provide me a cell phone or a an email address so i can send it (2) you also could have listened to your voicemail messages and contacted me that way (3) funny how suddenly you are oh so concerned when there is a negative review, but did not care during the two phone conversations the gentleman from next door and I had earlier with you guys.
Edit may 2022: Reduced from 5 to 4 stars. I'd like to start by saying that I've been a regular since I moved to the area and I've been enjoying their Gluten Free goodies and macarons for years. I thought my last experience, however, needed to be shared. When I asked for the GF scone, the two staff discussed in front of me whether it was actually gluten free or not. Which doesn't really feel comforting or come across as reliable. After the seemingly more experienced lady confirmed that it should be GF, they proceeded to package it with my husband's NON-GF pastry on top of each other in the same bag.. I would very much like La Patisserie to be a little more thoughtful and sensitive when handling food intolerances, especially if they want to continue catering to customers like myself.
While we were in Texas visiting family we stopped by the “Greetings from Austin” Mural to take some quick photos. We ended up spending a good while at La Pâtisserie which was just down the street. The pastries were great and the atmosphere cozy. It was pretty busy inside and appeared that the owner/operator was the only staff running the store. But despite being busy we were greeted and served pretty quickly. We sat outside in the nice morning weather drinking our coffee and eating our pastries, an assortment of muffins, cakes and croissants. The atmosphere was peaceful and felt separated from the noise of downtown. We left very satisfied. I would recommend stopping in if youre in the area.
Apparently not a lot of places do cronuts around my city, so when I found out that this place did them in ATX, I was excited. My wife and I tried the cronut with vanilla cream and one with lemon. Unfortunately there were no options for a plain ole cronut with no filling; but there were also not a lot of options in general. Overall, I'd recommend the vanilla filled cronut over the lemon. It is a hefty treat, so you may want to share it with a friend. Items were pricey, as the donuts set me back I believe 8-10$, yet they were quality treats. In the end, not a bad start on my quest for cronuts. While I don't see myself returning, I enjoyed my experience and the hospitality. 4/5
We visited to get treats for my birthday since I love pastries and everything was absolutely delicious! I tried the cream puffs, Millefeuille, and two types of the crobrios (chocolate and cinnamon). My favorite ended up being the crobrios, it was like the perfect ratio of cream to bread for me. The pastry cream itself was on point too and so smooth. I loved it! The location is super easy to get to, they have a drive thru window we saw on our way out, and I think there may be a little parking in the back for those curious. Also if you have a sweet tooth but can't eat too many sweet things at once, everything is the perfect size for sharing.
I got a 2 12 packs of assorted macaroons and I ordered over the phone, I asked for some specific macaroons and then the rest just random ones. When I picked it up the order I didn’t check it, but then when I got home I noticed I didn’t get the macaroons I asked for and they filled the order with the macaroons that obviously no one orders. I guess I should of been more specific about my order and I should have checked it but considering the price I made the mistake of thinking they would want to make it worth the money. Some of the macaroons didn’t even have filling. It was disappointing. Guess I was wrong, I’ll be more careful next time.
Edit: To clarify, I misused the term "stock photo" but I was referring to the staged pictures on their google page. Also, I didnt see very many of the items showcased in their photos. I wish I took a picture of how sparse their pastry selection was because apparently the owner's response to my review implies that they don't believe me. The stock photos that La Patisserie uploaded are HIGHLY deceptive. This was an extremely small coffee/tea shop with a limited offering of baked goods. Everything was overpriced and looked unappetizing. Their iced tea was more like iced water. Super disappointed.
Ordered the brioche cronuts as a special gift for someone who had never tried cronuts ever before, so was excited for them to try. Right before the donuts were due to be picked up, La Pâtisserie texted the recipient that they were out of the chocolate cronuts I'd ordered online, which bothered me a lot because she was already on the way to get them. But then when the recipient arrived, they gave her the seasonal special cronut - almond joy-flavor - which not only had chocolate on it but was, by all accounts, delicious. So ultimately, all was well that ended well.
I never leave reviews, in fact this may be my very first review, however the experience was THAT unpleasant that I felt the need. The customer service was abhorrent, the girl helping me was so incredibly rude and condescending. Sometimes I'll go back to a place with terrible service if I like the product enough - but the dry pastries are not even close to justifying returning. You would think with a global pandemic the girl would be a bit nicer; I also work in the service industry, so I get it, but it's not hard to just be nice to people.
their coffee expensive compared to nearby shops and it is not good.the lattes are so watery $8-10 idk if the baristas are untrained or what. the staff is nice and kind but they are stressed. when you walk into the shop it is very awkward as there is only silence in the shop, no music. the inside is not inviting to stay and sit. there is a new cafe opening up across from them. sad to see a neighborhood spot probably be replaced by a chain but will probably happen since looks like this place is mainly catered toward tourists.
Funky eclectic decor inside a house turned French pastry shop. The pastries are best in the morning if they haven't sold out. Lots of good things to choose from. The most popular are the Macaroons. These are traditional Almond flour and sugar kinds (think sandwich) with lots of varying and fun flavors. The macaroons are about the size of a quarter... so a little smaller than expected. All in all a nice treat after some very tasty treats in the neighborhood.
Came in for a quick snack, and it was amazing! I decided to get a 4 pack of maroons. Each one was really good. She threw in an extra blue raspberry because they came out small. I was surprised when she put another in my box! If your a fan of anything scented lavender, then you need to try the lavender maroon! The barista was super nice. Come check it out. We didn’t see this place until we walked by it trying to get to the Austin mural.
Lovely place, perfect location. I tried macarons, they were perfect by the way and chocolate raspberry pistachio cake. Cake is just fine, because if you can find similar item more than one place, they are losing their uniqueness. That doesn’t make them special. Ambiance is ok. They tried to look like Parisian cafe but with American size tables and chairs. You can stop by here just for macarons if you don’t have any better option!
Being a tourist, I stumbled across here while snapping a pic of the Austin mural. Very cute shop, with plenty of charm. I came in and got a coffee which was nice and strong, and some macaroons for later. I forgot about the macaroons and didn’t eat them until the next day but they were still delicious. Hadn’t dried out at all and were full of flavor. I highly recommend stopping in to get to your fix while you are in the area.
Scrumptious croissants and breakfast pastries. I love these croissants more than any others.the breakfast bun, orange cadamaron pastry, and the turkey cheese croissant are perfect. Also try the macaroons. There is a good selection so I haven't tried them all yet, but there's a green I can't remember the name of one that was delish. Yummy. From the street, parking looks sparse, but there's plenty of spots behind the place.
We tried the fig morning bun, almond croissants, and chocolate croissants. All of them are simply the best I have had so far. I have lived and traveled to places in Europe. I should say the quality and texture of the pastries remind me of French and British pastries. Pro tip: they have a 50% off on pastries nearing closing time from 4PM to 5PM. And unfortunately that they have to stop brewing coffee after around 4PM.
This morning I tried a chocolate almond croissant and a vanilla bean custard filled CroBrio pastry covered in cinnamon sugar. They were two of the best things I have ever eaten. I warmed them up at home in a frying pan with a bit of butter, but they can also warm things up for you in the shop. One more thing: This is our go-to place for macarons. They are much better than the ones at Whole Foods or Central Market.
Le Patisserie is the go-place for croissants in Austin. We have tried croissants at many other bakeries and restaurants and not been able to find anything comparable to the buttery, flakey, flavorful options at Le Patisserie. If you are looking for exceptional croissants for yourself or large parties (you can preorder these online) look no further. We are designed that Le Patisserie is in the '04 neighborhood!
I think they better use the phrase "inspired by." These pastries are fresh and well-made. As for authentic, no. The beignet and almond croissant are close but not quite. The crobrios as original creations are delicious and balanced out by a cup of black coffee. The aesthetic is again inspired by a French cafe-small, artistic and looks like it's family-owned. I don't know if it is or not, but that's the vibe.
This cute French bakery is right next to the famous Austin postcard mural, not that you need another reason to visit it. It's small but filled with delectable goodies. Everything we tried was pretty good but the lavender macaroons deserve a special mention. There is a small room that you can eat in if it's too hot outside, although the setup outside is spot on. Pro Tip - Bakery items are 50% off after 3pm
Good coffee, good snacks, good baked items (French-inspired, including croissants, pain au chocolat, and macarons), and good service with indoor seating and a nice small outdoor patio. This is at the location of S 1st and Annie, next to the "Greetings from Austin" mural. Convenient for those folks who are from out of town and working to capture that Instagram photo, or like me, are simply close to home.
This place is adorable! From the owner’s story, to Stephanie who chatted with us as we picked out our macaroons. This little shop has a lot to love! And the macaroons are to die for! Seriously my husband has never been a fan and once he tried these, he was obsessed we both are! Stopping by this place was the cherry on top of our trip from Chicago, we’re looking forward to visiting again soon!
This is a cute pop up pastry shop close to “welcome to Austin” mural. The lady who runs this place is such a delightful person to talk to. This place is known for its macaroons but since I’m not a big macaron person, I went for the croissants and boy were they good!! We took the chocolate almond and pistachio croissant and the Opera cake. The croissant were the show stoppers for sure!
La Patisserie is a good french-style bakery. The chocolate croissants have never been particularly good, though. They seem to have a problem melting the chocolate bars, and the croissant dough is tough and not very flaky. Great macarons, the doughnut with cream inside is decadent, and their eclairs are pretty good. Still, a french dessert shop should have particularly good croissants.
I came to TX , I can't found good coffee shop last 6 months. When I first visited to La Pâtisserie, it was amazing. Because latte is not just latte. It's like a ART! I can't drink latte, because it was really beautiful. La Pâtisserie lavender latte was fantastic taste. La Pâtisserie said, her used handmade flower syrup.I never forget lavender latte. Now I say "rose mojito" is amazing!
I love that I found this place! I was visiting Austin and wanted to take a picture of the Austin mural and saw this adorable bakery next to it. I decided to check It out and the macaroons are some of the best I’ve had! I love the building which drew me into the place. The staff were so kind and friendly and I love supporting local small businesses. Definitely check this place out!
I am a big fan of this cool little coffee shop. Delicious pastries and macaroons available to enjoy with a full coffee menu all at reasonable prices. Not a ton of seating but there is both indoor and outdoor seating with strong WiFi signal. There is a small children’s play area inside that can be noisy at times so I always prefer to sit outside if the weather is cooperating.
The delicious pastries - from the swoon worthy Cinnamon Crobrios to the flavorful macarons, and scrumptious cakes (whether a classic Opera or summery Blueberry Honey) - and friendly customer service along with the quaint patio and easy parking make this bakery a must! As a recent transplant to Austin and pastries aficionada, I am elated to support a woman-owned business.
This bakery is fantastic. I had been speaking with friends that I wish there was a real bakery like one I lived next to in the past. I came across La Patisserie. I ordered the almond croissant and the cream puff. They were both delicious but I am partial to a cream puff. They had such a variety of pastries I can’t wait to try them all. So excited about this find.
Ordered the Pistachio for my BF birthday and had to reschedule the order due to cold weather. When i went to pick it up and tried it, it tasted like an old cake that has been sitting for a month or so. The chocolate cover is like a chunk of butter with a hint of chocolate. I also bought a butter croissant and cinnamon roll. The egg tasted so overwhelming in both.
The hibiscus tea is amazing. The crosonts were very good alot stronger flavor than store-bought and had a crisp flakness. The butterscotch eclairs were very good and the butterscotch was a different flavor than american butterscotch. The turkey and cheese croissant was very good but it needed seasoning. The average price for everything was about $3.50.
A delightful, homey space serving quality pastries and good coffee. Macarons are always on offer in interesting and subtle flavors. There are usually a few gluten free options available. I enjoyed the pistachio rose macaron and gluten free cranberry orange scone very much. It's dangerous to have a place like this so close to my house.
Mmmm! So good! When you are in Austin, and after you have taken that obligatory photo of the ‘Greetings from Austin’ mural at Roadhouse Relics, do yourself a favour and stop here and treat yourself. The iced coffee and the crobrio were simply awesome! Sitting on the large patio, basking in the early morning sun was equally enjoyable!
The new ownership is bringing down the lovely concept of the former la Pâtisserie. Viennoiseries too dry and rancid taste, macarons too sweet, even the coffee was a disappointment. Adieu for good.

Great, quick service, decent prices for such great pastries. Orange Honey Cardamom macarons are the BEST. The Rose (not the Rosé, haven't tried those) are also pretty good, it also just smelled reaaaaally clean which is always a good sign to me. Also, their packaging is the cutest and makes a great gift for no extra charge!
My happy place! Flaky, warm chocolate croissants...soft pillowy beignets, ah so this is what a real-life dream looks like. A cute little pastry shop that puts a smile on your face from the moment you enter. Thank you for bringing your delicious sweets into the world, sharing them with us & keeping my inner child alive! :)
This French pastry shop is a great spot to enjoy some delicious desserts and Parisian pastries. It's a cozy place to catch up with a friend over coffee. We tried their coffee and eclairs and they were really tasty, with a yummy filling and topping. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you're a dessert lover!
So far I've visited this place on three occasions during my week long Austin trip. I've tried the hazelnut cake, pistachio raspberry chocolate cake and the last beigne they had. Everything was amazingly decadent and the beigne ruined doughnuts for me forever. Not sure what days they make them but GET SOME.
I got a variety of pastries and they were all superb (especially the kouign-amann and almond croissant)! Perfectly baked, delicious flavors, and beautifully crafted! I also got a cold brew coffee with oat milk and lavender syrup; it was so refreshing; I highly recommend it and I’m excited to go back.
Never had macaroons until I stepped in here. Basically had one of each, or what I was recommended. I'm assuming whatever batch is made, will be sold as they go. Nothing new gets added as the day progresses. (Based on [a] review[s] and visiting the place). Love the interior work, cute small shop.
Made an online order for a large amount of pastries to pickup before my nephew’s baseball game Saturday morning. The order was nicely packed up and ready to go right on time. My family and I devoured everything. So delicious. Might have to make this a Saturday morning baseball game tradition.
Choc. Chip cookie just so so, nothing to rave about. However we tried 4 other pastries, and both choc and cinn croissant were very good. Scones yummy. Bite sized eclairs were great. Its not a budget friendly shop though. Be prepared to pay a fair amount for your tasty treats, but enjoy!!!
Its a very quiet place, with good parking around thr corner. The coffee is good for that not to be their focus, paper cups only. The pastries are very good, and freshly baked. I think a small change to make it a little closer to a coffee and dessert experience would make it a daily visit.
Super cute bakery. I was craving ice cream that day but still went inside to check it out. Very clean and perfect spot for pictures and social media posts. They had a variety of desserts available and the employee was attentive! I'd come back to try some of their food next time we visit.
The bakery treats here are DELICIOUS!!! I came with my boyfriend, and we got their vanilla bean macaroon along with croissant. The macaroon was amazing, and the croissant, while simple, was delicious :) I definitely will be coming back here as they offer quiche, tart cakes, and more.
My first visit; I went because they featured Ukrainian pastries with poppyseed filling as a fundraiser. OMG. Delicious. They had a terrific selection and everything in the display case was beautiful. Next time I will take a friend and enjoy a cup of coffee on their sweet front deck.
Customer service is top notch and the French macarons here are the best you will get anywhere outside of Paris itself! Recently, the employees helped to make a gift for my sister's birthday extra special and at no extra charge. I love La Patisserie and will be a lifelong customer <3
Again and again, La Pat impresses! Every year they go above and beyond for my daughter’s birthday cake. I recently used the for gifts for my clients. I received so many thank you calls about the macs. I spent a month in Paris( pre-Covid) and honestly could not find a better macs.
The place itself is cute, atmosphere is great, came here for the macarons and there were only three flavors... but still got one, a donut, and cappuccino. All these things were good but not for the prices, the donut was $5.50. Overall, we didn't hate it but it wasn't amazing.
I parked my car nearby and was walking to a competitors location when I walked by this place and decided to give it a try instead. I got the chocolate chip cookies and they were damn near perfect. I'd rate 9/10. I'll be coming back and the interior was very nice and cozy.
This place just isn’t good on three visits now haven’t enjoyed. Throwing in an extra slice of cake because it’s old, gross, and shouldn’t be sold was the mail in the coffin for me. Spent $30 tried one bite of cake and two bites of macaroons and threw it all in the trash.
Walked in this store today 15 minutes prior to closing. The lady behind the counter told us to not order any espresso because "she is not trying to be there all night". Pretty rude, we just wanted to purchase macarons but left because this comment was uncalled for.
Silly me. I have been driving to this location from North Austin because I’m obsessed. Found out today they have a North location. Either way it’s so worth the drive to either location. They’re always so nice and cheerful and the pastries oh my. Delicious!
Went for the first time ever. I had the Chocolate Noir Cake which was amazing. I believe it's only outside seating? You ordered inside but I believe the furniture inside is only for decoration. Not too sure about that but I'd still return in the future.
I placed an online order for a large number of crobrios to share at work. They were ready right on time (I walked in at 8 a.m. on the dot, and they had everything waiting for me!), and so incredibly delicious. I will definitely be going back for more!
I love this place. Small, quiet, and super friendly. A great place to get a light lunch, coffee, and dessert. I love their French macarons. It's never super crowded like the other over-hyped coffeshops in south Austin. Definitely a hidden treasure.
The croissants alone get 5 stars, which I would lower to 4 stars for the macarons, they were soft and not great. Back up to 5 because of great customer service and location. Nice little front patio and the decoration is nice, clean and inviting.
I went busy to order some to try for my wedding bc I wanted macaroons. I ordered 1 dozen. I compare this to: Costco macaroons, Elizabeth street cafe macaroons and bouchon in Napa. These were hard like a rock and a waste of 30 dollars for
1 star because she said welcome when I walked in. Purchased 1 croissant aux amandes , 1 choux, and 4 macarons. I haven’t had the macarons yet, but both the croissant and the choux were stale. Absolutely horrendous for the price you pay.
If you are ever in South Austin, don't miss the opportunity to try out La Patisserie where they are known for their crobrio-their own spin on the popular cronut (a mix between a donut and croissant). Their green tea crobrio was a little
I submitted the photo of the eclair in this place. Maybe it wasn’t the best batch they ever had but I wouldn’t put them on sale. I wouldn’t recommend the eclairs over here for anyone who is looking for a delightful pastry experience.
Very cute and cozy. We paid $4.60 for two little cookies. The cookies are delicious and totally worth it. We didn’t realize this place was here. We had only came to this spot for the Austin Mural. We’re happy we stopped by.
I was expecting more variety of a traditional Patisserie, but this one is mostly a macaroon shop. I saw faces of others trying them, and they seemed pleased. End of day so selection was minimal. Still give them a try...
Could not have been happier with our custom order for 160 koala + kangaroo inspired macaroons. The team exceeded our expectations and they were a hit at our event. Thank you so much. We will definitely be back for more.
We had macaroons, a mille-feuille, a couple of tarts and a pain de chcolate, as well as coffee and tea. They were all fantastic and it transported us back to our time in Paris. We will stop by next time we visit Austin!
A cute little pâtisserie is offering various pastry and desserts. There is a kids play room, a rare bonus. A nice small patio allows enjoy a good weather with coffee. Unfortunately, I wasn’t impressed with the taste.
Hands down the best macaroons I have ever had. They are so soft and flavorful, wow. I buy them as gifts for luncheons and everyone leaves with a big smile on their face. The staff is so kind. Definitely stop by here
They're understaffed and busy. Went through the drive thru, had to wait and then they didn't have my turkey cheese croissant. Boohoo. Make more please. The 2nd best croissants I've had. Recommended. (Come early).
My parents come to visit me from Algeria, we stop at this beautiful shop and the lady was super gentle with us ( from Lille). Back home we like a French pastries. So sweet your lemon tarte and good millefeuille.
Best patisseries I've had in Austin. Not cheap, but go after three on weekdays for half price off many items. Sign in on Yelp and spend eight bucks get a free macaroon. The wild strawberry macaroon is the best.
Lovely little shop with a good variety of pastries, all looking very well executed and delicious. The employee kindly refilled my water bottle! Morning shade on the patio was a perfect spot to enjoy my treats.
Heaven in a quaint little shop in a cute neighborhood. The pistacchio latte was divine, service was excellent and the pastry selection was phenomenal. Everything was delightful and we will be back. Thank you!
We went here yesterday when visiting Austin and it was hands down the best experience we had! The owner is incredibly nice and the pastries are AMAZINGLY GOOD. highly highly highly recommend you stop by!
Just had a chocolate raspberry croissant. Game changing goodness. I would highly recommend. Plus the little shop is just cute. Husband said they remind him of the ones in France so I'd say we left happy.
Delicious treats with a girly Parisian vibe! Right across the street are two murals, one of which is the famous “greetings from Austin” postcard mural. Beat the heat in this cute cafe with yummy treats!
We're taking our daughter to France next year and wanted to get a head start on understanding the food. We tried seven different items and every one exceeded our expectations. 10/10 will go back again.
Best croissants in town!! Their pastries are to die for, their drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is lovely and quaint and it has an amazing kids area to boot! Best kept secret (sorta) in Austin!
During our trip to Austin while checking out the “Greetings from Austin” mural we saw this cool macarons shop, La Pattiserie, macarons were really tasty, I just wish they had more variety and yes.
This is my 3rd time at this place, my last 2 visits werent pleasant at all! This lady is today, is racist! I can tell she didn’t want me there, on top she over charged 3 items for $15! So cringe
I hate having to leave a bad review. Usually I take my time to leave positive reviews. Unfortunately, mine and my father's experience left such a bad taste in our mouths, I have to share.
One of the best Kouign Amann's I've ever had. Perfectly flaky, sweet, and evenly baked. The croissants were also flaky and tasteful. Loved that they had dairy free options for the milk.
croissants were dry and flavorless. made me feel sick. just tasted like bread with a tiny bit of EXTREMELY bitter dark chocolate. looked like a loaf of bread too. would not recommend.
I have not tried all their pastries but their macaroons are phenomenal. The pistachio and the cranberry pointsetta champagne are my favorites. The almond croissants are also amazing.
We shared a slice of the lemon-raspberry cake and it was delicious! The iced tea with lemonade was really good! The inside was so cute and very inviting. I would definitely go back!
Their Macarons are not smooth on top and I think they just use regular frosting which is too sweet to match. I’ve lived in Paris so I expect high standards. But these are not bad.
My friend and I shared three croissants and a coffee. The croissants and coffee were so good, and the red-haired barista was so nice and cheery this early in the morning!
Great, delicate macaroons nestled amongst a busy area. Super aesthetic decor, and right next to the Welcome To Austin mural. Grab a treat and a photo in one space. More
Loved this place! It’s so cute and pink. Customer service was great, I tried 2 of their CroBrio, morning bun and maple pecan bun. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.
Very cute cafe with a lovely patio out front. The staff here are friendly and the coffee is good. It’s the type of place where you can sit and enjoy for a couple hours.
Cute little pastry shop, ran across it wile visiting the Austin Mural. My iced coffee needed a bit more caramel as I tasted it once and the rest was pure coffee taste.
We ordered eclairs and a vanilla bean cake. Eclairs were delicious. Cake, not so much. The cake was very dry and had a bread like consistency. Probably won't be back.
Great coffee in a cozy shop with an outside patio. We had a seasonal macaroon which was delicious and technically perfect. Chewy and crunchy and creamy, all at once!
