Who doesn't enjoy a nice piece of pastry in the morning? Whether you're in the mood for some cake or some macarons, you can find it all at La Patisserie, Austin's only authentic, from-scratch French pastry shop. With so much to choose from, I got a little bit of everything such as the: - Mint Chocolate Drip Cake (seasonal): Good tonality of richness, which has you wanting to take more bites. Not overbearing in sweetness and a good balance of chocolate and mint! - Cinnamon "CroBrio" (Croissant-Brioche Hybrid Donut filled with Vanilla Bean Pastry Cream): This one was really unique to me. I like the fusion of the two pastries in both the texture and flavor. I was hit with a surprise vanilla filling because originally I didn't know it was filled! So good though. - Orange, Honey, & Almond Bun (Seasonal): Think of this one always like a croissant. Interesting mix of sweet, tart, and nutty flavors and fun texture to bite into. - Blackberry Kouign-Amann (seasonal): This one was my favorite. Think of it as a denser version of the croissant, but filled with a blackberry jelly. - Toasted Almond Eclair: A classic! - 6 Pack Macarons (from left to right): Vanilla Bean x2, Pistachio, Bailey's Irish Cream, Mint Chip, & Lucky Charms. My favorite had to have been the Lucky Charms and that's because I'm a sucker for anything cereal. Holistically, they offer interesting flavors to choose from, so you can't go wrong with anything! All in all, you can tell how much work is put into these pastries. Not just visual or structural, but also in flavor. High quality ingredients and good balances of flavors all around. Nothing was overpowering in sweetness which was great. All in all, I was highly satisfied with what I got.

Yikes! Truly one of the worst places in Austin. Went in around noon on a Sunday. There's not a lot in the display so we picked a slice of funfetti cake for $6.50 and pumpkin spice Eclair for $4.25. It's pretty pricey. We took one look at the macaroons and they did not look too appetizing. My wife called it at the time without even buying that this looks pretty old and stale. We bought the food and went into the car. This is really for the kid and he took one bite and he said it's yucky. So we tried it and he was right! It was so stale! The frosting is all hard and you can just tell from the picture that it's really old and stale and just not appetizing at all and so we ended up having to throw it away. How do you serve something this old at this price, is there no quality control? The pumpkin spice Eclair, while not stale, was not particularly good. The bread was too dense and hard and the cream wasn't particularly tasty so all. Overall, it was just a very disappointing experience. I don't know why this place would exist with so many other great things in the surrounding area. It just feels mismatched and we definitely wouldn't come back and would advise you the same.

I received a gift card for my birthday. When I went to use it, they said they couldn't take it because they didn't have a scanner for the barcode. Next time, i could make my purchase online & pick it up. A couple of weeks later, I tried purchasing online, but the beverages weren't available. I called them & they told me yeah, not everything is available online. So next time, i can just purchase a gift card with the gift card and use it when i come in. Went somewhere else. That was okay. The third time, I tried to purchase the gift card & a pastry, & it said it wouldn't be ready for 3 days. Called again & was told the yeah, that's only for special orders. And the pastry I selected they were out of any way. So I asked if I could just purchase the gift card & go get it the same day. The person I spoke with said they weren't sure & they would have to have the manager call me. It's been over a few days, and nothing. What I did purchase the first day was dry. Coffee was okay, but small for the price. This place has one of the worst services I've ever received. Monkey Nest, right down the street, always great! Yall should take a page from their book.

I got a chocolate cronut, maple pecan roll and chocolate espresso macaron. They were underwhelming, definitely not worth the price. Macarons were $2.55 per piece which is pretty common in Austin, it was a good size, but it was barely decent. The cronut was okay but a little dry. The morning roll was pretty good. Almost $14 for all 3. I don’t mind paying for good pastries, but these were not worth it. I’ve been wanting to try this place ever since the cronut craze. I live south so Im never around when it’s open. Today I went because I was in the area. I went 15 minutes before close, walked in and the cashier gave me a dead look, looked down at her watch and was annoyed. The cashier wasn’t even done checking out the previous customer and she wanted to get my order ready to get me out of there. I get it, it was closing time, but I was literally there just to buy pastries, only took about 5 minutes. My husband payed and as soon as the transaction went through she just walked away and ignored us. I usually don’t care about service, but this really made this a bad experience since I’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest time

Lezlie was and is pure magic. She created an ombré macaron tower for our wedding and it was a hit. She also stuck with us throughout the crazy COVID times and changing our dates. We were also able to taste test the ones we wanted. Very unique and made our vision come to life. The bakery delivered and set up; I didn’t even know they were there it went so seamlessly…on a Sunday too. We had a ton of macarons left over that didn’t fit on the tower that ended up coming home with us, but were all gone by morning! To those who know French macarons, you won’t be disappointed as they taste just like they do there. For those who have never had them, get ready to crave them and eat way too many!!

Love, love this place! It's such a cute French bakery, which reminds me so much of our visit to France and exploring the many bakeries there. We have tried practically most items on their menu and especially love their macarons (there are so many great flavors to choose from), croissants, eclairs, and cookies during our weekend trips out of the house. We've had such a great experience with their baked goods that we used them over the years for birthdays and special occasions. It's also a plus to learn that they use ingredients that don't have all the preservatives you find in most baked goods these days.

I ordered a dozen macrons for a surprise proposal for my now fiancée since they have been her absolute favorite thing since our Christmas trip to France. They were absolutely delicious with a wide variety of amazing flavors, and they made sure not to include chocolate as I requested in the online order! We can’t wait to order more!

It is a lovely French bakery. Visit it for the delicious French pastries like croissants, macaroons, lemon tarts, éclairs, and beignets. The chocolate croissants are a must-try - they have a perfect dough and just the right amount of chocolate. And I recommend to try mocha here as well to complete your treat!

The almond croissant was so delicious!! I also had the apple croissant and plain croissant and they all blew me away! I can’t wait to be back and they their other macaroons. I like how they have unique flavors and not just the basic ones!

Very good high quality pastries!! I’m not much of a macaron person so I can’t say how they taste here but they certainly looked good! Mini S’mores tarts are my favorite!
