Large open dining area, service was OK but some of the staff didn't know the menu very well. The food whilst well cooked just lacked the presentation that I've seen at others; mates oysters whilst cooked OK were left swimming in the sauce, so much you couldn't actually see there was an oyster in the shells. Our seafood platter only had calamari, a good serve, a couple of prawns and a piece of grilled fish, no scallops, salad or chips, the salad and chips were a side but you only got to choose one or the other. The grilled fish was probably basa, a fish I think needs to be left in the sewerage farms they're raised in overseas. We have some of the world's best food here but we are served up imported inferior cheap foods. The cheesy garlic bread however was fantastic. Next time I go I'll go back to the meat meals or pizzas both of which I've had in the past and they've been first class.

Lady at the front was very grumpy, we were seated and our order was taken but the waitress was very unenthusiastic. Our food took 35 minutes to come, when tables around us who arrived after us had their already, we were even offered dessert before our meals because we had been sitting with an empty table for so long. Even after apparently taking 30 minutes my chips could have used some more cook time or even a dash of salt, bland and the eggplant Parm looked dreadful All the staff seemed like they hated their job except for a team member, i believe his name was Jake, he wasn’t our server but i wish he was, super upbeat and friendly loved making small talk with us and surrounding tables before (i assume the manager) yelled his name several times across a table to get him to go to his section. It would have been more professional to walk over and kindly ask instead of embarrassing him in front of guests…

Go to the Mentone restaurant NOT Cranbourne! First Italian restaurant that doesn’t offer any breads as sides. Asked for the bread rolls that were given to us at the Mentone restaurant & they said “we don’t do that anymore, you can only order it as takeaway” Makes no sense & is ridiculous. If we’re paying for it & can take it away, why can’t I just have it with my food in the restaurant? What’s the issue with eating a bread roll in the restaurant? Sometimes restaurants just make things so difficult for customers for no reason. There is no point to this at all. I would say if you would like to go to La Porchetta to dine, visit the Mentone restaurant instead. The service is MUCH better. The quality of care & attentiveness to customers is at a higher level.

The manager was very rude when me and my boyfriend tried to order a pizza to take away and in the end we decided to stay. One of the other ladies in the restaurant told us it was ok to eat inside, but then the manager replied rudely saying she was the boss in there and had to leave her restaurant. We honestly don’t care. We want to be treated with respect and good service. It’s the minimum I’d expect after paying. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. Treating us as if we were stealing a pizza. Train your staff well!!! But don’t take it on us as customers cuz we don’t have idea of how poorly your policies and logic works! Also, what a freaking expensive and horrible pizza is that? Just order uber eats 2 large pizzas for $44 and the dough is flat, tastes old and zero taste. The chicken pizza tastes like defrosted cardboard. I have called and spoken to the establishment and unfortunately there is nothing they could do. Please people save yourself from ordering over priced thin cardboard pizzas, please. I usually understand certain circumstances however there should be better quality control I would not send these put the door looking this way. Sorry will not be ordering from them ever again

First of all when you're taking an order you have to speak clearly and not mumble! I asked for a Super Special and you gave me one with The Lot! No hot salami but a poor substitute Strasbourg and no bacon!! You raise your prices and produce a second rate pizza! Never again! Went and got take away. Relatively quick! 2 pasta and 1 pizza done in 10 minutes. Also got free bread rolls! Pasta and pizza was very nice. The reason why it’s 4 stars is because I expected the tiramisu to be better. This is probably one of the worst tiramisu I’ve ever had from an Italian restaurant. Even ALDI’s tiramisu is better than this. I know you guys can do better. You are great at hot foods! Staffs are very friendly too! Keep it up!

Beware if your order the pizza for your kids meal. Despite what the menu says, the store's "policy" is to not serve sides with it. You shouldn't have to escalate to a manager to get whats written on the menu. Better off going to the Rowville restaurant instead as they give you exactly whats on the menu. Tandoori chicken pizza was also pretty average.

Was there with friends for a birthday party. Unfortunately the food was below standards and out of a party of 9 only 2 of us finished our meals. My main I ordered was a pizza and it was extremely oily unfortunately. The pizza itself would have been great had it not had as much oil coming from it. Changing my star rate from 3 to 1. We had a book in today and when we went in the lady was to rude to use the told us you guys have to leave by this time ... Ok thats doesnt matter but the way she asked wasn't request nor she was polite and when we took a seat and then she keep on sending staff to take order I mean atleast we need few min to decide what to order. Absolutely exceptional customer service! Honestly every single staff member were so amazing! I wish I got names but the older lady was AMAZING she went OUT of her way for my daughter! Helped make sure she can eat her meal with a spoon. Food was yum, service was amazing Even the register staff and floor staff were great. Let my girl pick what flavour ice cream the works. Thank you for the best service possible! Will 100% be coming back!

We went for dinner on a Saturday night which was busy but they accommodated for everyone that walked in. The food was lovely. We spent just over $60 for 2 large pizzas a pasta and a dessert to share. The staff were absolutely fantastic. Nothing was too much to ask and they had a chat with you. We will definitely be back again soon.

First time dining in this restaurant with family members. Very good variety of tasty Italian food. Loved the seafood plate especially the way the barramundi was baked(?). Will definitely find another opportunity to dine there again. The service was friendly and prompt. To avoid disappointment, make sure you make a booking as the place is very popular. It was full the night we had dinner there.

I want to write this review, to thank the amazing people at this restaurant. I am in a wheelchair and I went in tonight, to pick up my food and the staff not only offered but actually carried my food to my car. I can’t thank you enough, and will definitely be back as food has always been delicious.

This is a great place to take the family out for a meal. The food is good, given the price. Great service, excellent music, and atmosphere. The kids think it's great. A not so good greeting when we arrived by older woman. Moving right along we were served within 3 minutes. Very pleasant drinks waiter. Our waiter Jake was very nice so pleasant and helpful. Best La Porchetta ever!! I had the gnocchi and my husband had a Parma and both were delicious! The gnocchi tasted like little clouds in my mouth and the flavour was delicious!! The meals were also great portion sizes we definitely left feeling full! The staff were also fantastic! Could not fault them at all! All so lovely! Will definitely be coming here regularly now!

We had stopped coming to this restaurant, decided to give them another go, wow! The staff were amazing! The food was awesome! We had our two young children who can be demanding, yet the staff were not bothered at all, even down to running out to the car as they noticed we had left our sons drink bottle. The lady that waited on us was honestly amazing!

I had the Spaghetti Pescatore with Napoli sauce, it was only two sized prawns and muscles but was very filling and tasteful. I feel with a bit of chilli it would top it off. My wife got the Ceaser Salad which looked and tasted amazing (added chicken and removed anchovies) would definitely go back again.

We love it here. We come every couple of weeks with our kids. Today was just husband and I. We got the chicken scallopini and garlic prawns. Always satisfied and we always order different when we come. The whole menu is great and they have great prices to.
