"Hurry hurry while the bread ( pan dulce) is fresh early morning breakfast tacos and homemade pocket filled gorditas are the best, thin corn stuffed with the perfect amount of meat and veggies to your liking , the rice was nice n fluffy very aromatic and nicely colored"
"I love this place the people that work there are so nice and so friendly the food there is so so good the best thing on the menu I think is the beef fajita tacos or anything with beef fajita in it they have the best beef fajitas in Austin and I was born and raised here and the breakfast tacos are so good now onto the bakery/pastries I go every single morning to get something sweet i I love their donuts though but they have all sorts of stuff everything looks so delicious everything I've tasted so far has always been really really delicious Food & Pastry wise if you haven't been there I really really recommend it so so good"
"We were looking for a mexican bakery and this place had such good reviews that we went out of our way to go there"
"This use to be an Austin favorite on 1st street for over 20 years"
"I used to like this place until I got food poisoning on Monday May 7th"
Hurry hurry while the bread ( pan dulce) is fresh early morning breakfast tacos and homemade pocket filled gorditas are the best, thin corn stuffed with the perfect amount of meat and veggies to your liking , the rice was nice n fluffy very aromatic and nicely colored. Barbacoa is awesome served individually or by the pound not greasy at all tortillas are homemade as well but sold separately. It’s a little small dining area but comfy seating. I highly recommend the gorditas food is 8/10 you can tell they make everything with a home feel and take pride in there food and bakery, their conchas go fast especially the yellow ones. The staff are the owners so there might be a small wait but trust it’s worth it.

We were looking for a mexican bakery and this place had such good reviews that we went out of our way to go there. To my pleasant surprise, it is also a restaurant and had a sign that says caldo all day. I asked what caldo they had and they said menudo or chicken. So I ordered chicken, paid a little over $8 for the caldo and a concha, that was delicious, but the caldo never arrived. In fact, the staff went in the back and never returned. After almost 30 minutes, we just left. That turned out to be a very expensive concha. Something not right there.
This use to be an Austin favorite on 1st street for over 20 years. Just found them after 4 + years on William cannon. The new restaurant is small and food is slightly different But the PAN Dulce is still the same as I remember. Saddens me an original Austinite to see our current council allow outsiders to push and not protect what made my city special. Support for Austin originals must be considered 1st. Visit La Reyna support them.
I used to like this place until I got food poisoning on Monday May 7th. I ordered the chicken fajita tacos and bought the cream cheese empanadas. This was the only thing I ate this day so I’m sure this did it. My stomach was very nautious for the rest of the day and night. I was feeling short of breath. I finally threw up the tacos, that night. It wasn’t until after that I finally started to get some relief. Never ever again!!!
My Uncle and I dined at this restaurant on November 15th. I ordered the chicken enchiladas. The plate came with a salad and French fries which was an unusual combination. The enchiladas were horrible, the worse I've ever had. Before we left I ordered six pumpkin empanadas which were just as bad. I do not recommend this place.
A hole in the wall panaderia "bakery" on East William Cannon that is worth the trip. Lots of freshly baked goodies. Too many options will mean multiple trips to satisfy your taste buds. My favorite is the Pan Dulce (Mexican sweet bread). And the menudo is a great side dish to go with all the sweets. Make the trip!
I showed up at 7:45 AM. That place was closed and the doors were locked. Their Google listing says they open at 7 AM and their door signage says they open at 7 AM. They were not open! A complete waste of my time. And for that reason I give you one star!
So we ordered menudo. Was asked if for here or to go and we said for here. Took about 20 min to get our order because apparently its just some teenaged girl working and then when asked for limes she said they don't have limes. How are you
I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. Amazing Mexican food is a given down there. This place tastes like an easy, warm mid morning spent sipping coffee with my mom when I get to visit. And the pricing feels like I'm still in the
Slow...they have a 11 yr old taking the order and running the register.getting everyones orders wrong....i didnt see any adults there..only her going to the back to make the tacos..I think i need to report this place
Breakfast tacos awesome they have donuts, sugar bread and excetera I recommend this place to anyone show your support... Oh yeah I left something out I did not know they serve lunch so come out people show your love.
Freshly baked pan dulce. It was amazing.. and it looks like they sell breakfast tacos. Next time we will try the tacos. The conchas, empanadas and cuernitos were delicious. Great service and delicious bread.
Great mexican food and bakery. Our entrees for lunch tasted great and prices were reasonable. For dessert, we picked out a couple of fresh bakery items and they tasted delicious. Highly recommend.
Phone is NEVER answered. .I cannot get to-go order in. Call back several times and get “mailbox Is full”. Can’t you have person dedicated to to- go- orders? Must be missing out on lots of sales!
Picked up some pastries from here late in the day and they were very good. They were freshly made and very good. Highly recommend this place and I will go back again when I am in town.
This place is awesome, we always get treated right here and their pan Dulce is always fresh!! Breakfast and lunch this is our go to place! It's small but worth it!
This place has the best Barbacoa tacos I’ve had in a long time. Incredibly flavorful and juicy. Bakery items are great as well. Don’t pass this place up!
Amazing taste, I am from Peru, but his food made me appreciate Mexican food. I ordered Carne guisada and it was a great choice for a very good price
Good food but recently the long time server ziedea quit over a dispute with owner. Most went for her good service and attitude. Hope they know that.
Love the barbacoa they have and the sweets are always delicious. The staff is always nice and there is hardly a wait here on the weekends.
The Pan Dulce is good if you're there early enough to get the fresh stuff but if you show up around midday to try and get any, good luck!
Great Service!! Great Food!! Limited Menu, but still Delicious Food. Limited Space, but Cozy & Family Atmosphere. Fresh Mexican Bakery.
Lo mejor de Austin Texas, pan recién hecho, buena textura,sabor,...los tacos de barbacoa deliciosos …
I drove 35 minutes and got here early to find the shelves empty, on top of that everything on the shelf was stale
I came in for tacos... I was not happy with the taste of the food.. Tasted spoiled meat? Had a funny taste...
Pesimo servicio, antes fue mi favorito, ahora no atienden a los clientes, solo se la pasan atras haciendo pan
