REGRET #1: I have heard about this place before many years ago, and am now regretting the fact that I didn't check it out sooner. REGRET #2: I wish I had a bigger capacity to be able to eat everything on the menu! REGRET #3: I wish I stayed closer to this place. This establishment has a very reputable following since its days over in Damansara Heights when it was originally housed there. A few years ago, it made the move over to Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, and continues to gather even more fans than ever. Parking along Lorong Rahim Kajai 13 is normally quite full, but you should be able to get a spot a little bit away and walk here. It's worth the calories. La Suisse serves a hybrid of Swiss, French and Italian food, and they do all of it very well. The simplistic decor greets you as you walk in. Nothing pretentious, just a straightforward restaurant with simple furnishings and nice table settings for each of the well spaced tables inside, with a Swiss accent. The menu is wonderfully simple. And true to my belief that restaurants with lesser items on the menu normally serve better food than those with an overstuffed menu that presents nothing but bland food. I was celebrating my daughter's birthday here, so as a party of four, we could afford to order a bit more than usual. For starters the Raclette and Smoked Duck Salad were heavenly. Loved the slightly nutty taste of the cheese with boiled potatoes and pickles, while the smoked duck slices on top of the fresh salad was scrumptious. The Crab Bisque was also one of a kind, as the lingering aroma of brandy infused into the soup left an exquisite aftertaste. The Button Mushroom soup was rich and creamy. The mains were quite large in portion and was was good enough to share. We had ordered one main course each and it was way too much. But soldier on we did, as my Braised Oxtail was tender, with meat falling off the bone in a rich sauce that could only have taken hours to simmer and draw out all the richness of the vegetables and the meat. The Sliced Zurich Chicken with Rosti was super delicious. Pieces of chicken breast in a rich sauce together with a piece of rosti was a meal in itself. The Chicken with Herbs De Provence was a flavourful grilled chicken with a light sauce. And my daughter's Viennese Chicken was light and crunchy, and she remarked it's better than any other schnitzel she has ever had. We ended our dinner with a special deep fried banana dessert with ice cream for my daughter's birthday celebration, thanks to Claudia, the wife of the proprietor and chef, Mike. And speaking of Mike and Claudia, they were truly warm and accommodating, and made us feel more welcomed than ever. Prices here are reasonable when you consider the freshness of the ingredients of the food, the superb preparation and overall satisfaction. Taman Tun folks, you don't know how lucky you are to have such a fine establishment at your doorstep!

Totally terrific from start to finish. Simple sounding menu is done to absolute perfection. All chicken dishes were done amazingly well, and the steaks are gorgeous. Soups amongst the best ever had. Mike Yap and wife are doing TTDI a real service, with their brilliant cooking. No wonder they were recommended by Michelin. Affordable, too EDIT: For 2023 they've spruced up the place and added a few more options to their menu. Still affordable and amazingfor the price

Discovered a nice restaurant nearby my office lately! Their steak is really nice! We ordered an Angus with Brandy sauce, the quality of beef is really good and their sauce is just nice for the steak. Will definitely come back for their steak! Their smoked duck is surprisingly good too! Think cut and decent portion. The sauce is homemade and fit the dish well. Not forgetting their hots sauce ice-cream! They serve the sauce and vanil ice cream separately, scooping the hot sauce into the vanila ice cream when we eat, the ice cream is half melt and half cold. The sauce taste is not very strong so might not an good option for this who like flavourful dessert (strong taste) but I added additional scoop of ice cream We can’t have much wine that day, hence we ordered home poured wine, but it’s surprising not bad! Not forgetting, the lady boss, I like her vibes so much! The way she talks is like a grandma talking to her kids. It made me felt like talking to her more. It was a really decent dining experience. Will definitely go again!

Quite a memorable Christmas dinner I had! First time I had Swiss-French cuisine and one of the most enjoyed European food in KL. All the courses I ordered was done properly with heart from the quality of the ingredients, the way it was cooked and to final product on the plate, it was very delicious. Unfortunately didn’t manage to pair it with some red wine. Hopefully next time with ample of opportunity to dine-in again. The only downside was those crockery used for serving food to me was cold and lacked garnishes on every course. I particular do like part of their exterior and interior which has some kind atmosphere like of old Swiss or German house. Thinking about their food there makes me wanna go back there and dine again. This is an old school establishment that knows exactly how they want to do their dishes and run their restaurants. The food is so good: everything we had was good, from the raclett, to the halibut and the rainbow trout: cooked to perfection. The oxtail is so tender, the Zurich chicken is fantastic. One side dish i didn't enjoy was the mash potatoes which tasted really cardboard like They know exactly when and how to serve, and all 5 of our mains came at the same time. Perfect The decor feels a bit dated like it came from the 80s and 90s, but still, so fun to sit at a table with good ol fashioned table cloth. Price is a bit on the high side: we paid 400+ for the 5 of us.

Me and my friend celebrated one of our birthday here initially I was wondering how they mamage to maintain such high rating after so many years and with so many reviews. After our visit we are totally convinced and they truly deserve this high rating. Their food is very well presented with adequate portion, fair pricing with the quality of food ingredients serviced. We had Angus sirloin which was juicy with the right char, the Halibut with toasted Almond which is really very fresh and the Almond definitely adds a different dimension to the taste, Raclette is a very interesting was to serve melted cheese on a platter, Smock duck salad and even the Garden Salad was fresh and they did not stinge.on the potion. We enjoyed every dish and the Owner Chef Mike came by and was really friendly. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. Highly recommend.

Visited with my family on my birthday. The minute i stepped in, i said to myself, this feels like walking into my own home. We shared 2 appetisers. A raclette which was served with bread rolls, gerkins and boiled potatoes - fantastic. Kids loved it. Would have liked to have an extra plate all to myself if i had my say. And a crab bisque - this was so flavourful and rich. A wonder on a cold day. You could literally have a whole pot to yourself and a loaf of bread which would make a fine meal. For mains we had poached halibut with mussel sauce - so so. Braised lamb shank - very nicely done. And a chicken with herb's province - this was ok. Table service was attentive and curteous. Lovely evening spent here.

A place running by husband and wife with a team of workers… service was great but get prepared to wait for a bit longer of time for your food to be served Mushroom on toast was good and flavourful.. escargot sauce was creamy and full of garlic taste .. personally love the pumpkin soup, as it tasted so fresh and clean.. For main courses we ordered beef, beef cheek, chicken , lamb and fish too.. to be honest, the home made sauces was great but all the meat served was lacking of the meat flavor.. I.E for the almond fish, the almond flakes was overcooked till burnt , and the fish meat was not tender and you can taste the water (guess due to defrosting) inside the fish itself .. Crepe was a bit burnt.. raspberries ice cream tasted better compared to it.. Love their Zurich sauce.. guess they are great in all the home made sauces more

I was inclined to try it simply because it had such an insanely high rating and since the place had been opened for over 20 years now. However I was disappointed by the food as it did not match the expectations I was given through online reviews. Food: I ordered a medium rare tenderloin steak and it came with simple boiled vegetables and some mash. I have no problem with simple food- as long as it tastes good but I was met with a rare steak with under boiled vegetables. Service: The service there was nothing special our waiter attended to our needs quickly and our food came out of the kitchen at a decent speed (at the time there were only 3 occupied tables so I would not know how they handle large crowds)

Though they don't do fancy presentations, the food was very well done. Its very homey style and nice food. Highly recommended to have the Mussels with Fresh Herbs, Chicken "Zurich style" with Rosti and Poached Halibut with Herbs Sauce. If you like something spicy, you can try the Grilled Salmon with Mexican Sauce. But I don't prefer the lamb chop and Chicken Herb Province though. It's nicely done but I find it nothing to shout about. I also don't recommend Chicken Viennese style as well as it is very dry. My friend highly recommends the Halibut Fish Pan Fried with Almonds.

Service was good. Environment is your typical neighborhood restaurant and nothing to shout about. However, the food was lower than our expectations from the reviews provided in google. I ordered Aus rib eye steak with red wine sauce. Came with side of bland vege (cauliflower and carrots). The sauce was also very bland. Contrary to that, my mum ordered chicken with herbs which was too heavily salted. Their appetizers fair better than the main course ordered. Inconsistent quality of food.

Impeccable warmth delivered by Claudia. Since there was a large group indoors, she suggested the quieter outdoor area for the two of us. Generous portion of food at reasonable prices. The crab bisque with brandy and smoked duck salad were especially delicious. Two guests sitting indoors started smoking, perhaps because they were at the only table left. — Returned with family this time. Another memorable dining experience.

The second I stepped into the place,I was greeted by warm hospitality. I must say that I am glad that I decided to try them out, their crab basque soup is so flavourful yet mellow at the same time! Totally must have and perfect match with the bread. It’s so surprising that they could make dory so delicious, even my partner that hates dory enjoyed the meal so much. Oh, don’t you miss their rosti! It’s so addicting that I went back after 2 days cause I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant, their food, their hospitality, and price are just worth to try !

First time having Swiss-French cuisine. The mussels appetiser was an underwhelming starter, lacking flavours. The deep fried cheese was good, never had anything like it before. Steak was also worth the try. The steak was slightly overcooked from what was ordered. We wanted medium rare but arrived medium well. Some music/better lighting can help shape the whole experience, otherwise it feels like regular dining

Dining in la Suisse is an experience that u feel the same way like home. The ambience and the hospitality of the staff are plus factors that would make u feel at ease and well accommodated. The foods are just in reasonable range and more so the tastes are impeccable and on top. Highly recommended.

Homely little swiss restaurant. Service was ok but parking around here might be difficult during peak hours. I had the highly acclaimed raclette cheese which did not disappoint at all. The crab bisque soup was interesting with a touch of brandy and the smoked duck salad delicious with a generous portion. Steak was ok and the chicken zurich style with rosti good but a bit filling.

Visited to this restaurant since they operated in Damansara Height. It’s a homey restaurant with friendly staff. The food presentation looks simple but it is great with generous portion. I personally like their freshly baked bun, smoked duck salad, Halibut fish with almonds, lamb shank, lamb rack, and ice-cream with hot raspberries sauce. They do serve wine as well.

After so many years this restaurant still ranks high on food quality and deliciousness. It’s all in the cooking and the chef is top notch. The steak was done very well. Consistently medium throughout with a nice char. The melted cheese appetizer and the cherries crepe dessert were heavenly. Definitely deserving to be on the Michelin Guide!!!

Best smoked duck we've ever had. Hubby said he's still thinking about it days after our visit. Lovely, warm & friendly service by all the staff especially the owners. Best raspberry and ice-cream dessert to wrap up a delicious dinner. Gourmet food at normal & very reasonable price. The restaurant was full on a weekday. That says a lot.

Halibut almonds was wonderful. This restuarant has been listed under Michellin!. It is a good thing for KL n PJ folks. You can get really good western food here, especially Zurich style. Owner Mike and staff are great!

The shop has been in existence for more than 21 years and just relocated to TTDI in June 2019 from Bukit Damansara. The environment is well decorated with quite a homey feeling. The food are very tasty while the portion well worth with the price. Personal favorite is the cheese appetizer and it's special salted fish flavor. The oxtail the pasta and all are nicely done with a lot of effort put in the dish. Recommended.

Went there looking for a place to have desserts after dinner. We were greeted with so much warmth and welcome. They were very accommodating with our request asking to customize one of the dessert as a birthday cake but they customized both of the dessert instead. Will definitely go back there again to try their other food on their menu.

I'm not sure this restaurant is suisse cuisine or not, anyway they don't have cheese fondue. Almost all dishes come with boiled spinach and potatoes so you had better to order carefully otherwise you may order too much. Totally their taste is plain but escargot is a bit too much smell garlic.Their viennese style chicken is nice. Beverage and beer are surprisingly low price. Staff service is good.

We wanted to have some Swiss food and were happy with the service and food. For starters, we shared the raclette and escargot. The escargot was served in a cream base sauce but I wish it was oil based instead. Main course, my friend had the monkfish and I, chicken Zürichoise with rösti. Generous servings. The floor staff was welcoming, courteous, friendly, and always available to assist.

Simple homey food. Rosti was excellent. Crab bisque was unique. Ample choice of proteins. Staff were great. Plain water provided. Location in quiet residential area. Come early for a table on public holiday or weekend.

Food was so good. We had the escargot, bisque, steak and crepes. I’ll definitely be back again and again. Service was excellent too. I left my umbrella and the waiter ran after me. They were worried we’d get wet getting into the car if we don’t take the umbrella.

5 star service, friendly & attentive. Food is good, medium rare steak was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend Zurich style chicken and hot red wine cherry with vanilla ice cream. Flavour that you don't find in Malaysian/ other Western cuisine. Warm touches by waiter for a birthday celebration.

Reasonably priced Swiss restaurant. The setting is 'no frills' and very simple, it is not a place for selfies but good meals. I had the Rib Eye, which came with a healthy serve of mushrooms and steamed veg and potatoes as a side. Enjoyable meal with a glass of red wine.

Food portion is okay for the price. Taste is average. We had fish and chicken, fish is bit too burnt and the crab bisque soup we had had a bitter aftertaste. We waited one hour for food to arrive. However, service is good. Waitress is polite enough to apologize for the late arrival of food.

Came here for dinner , the restaurant only open from 6:30pm onwards .. make reservations .. it's full house .. food was good , like the escargots , beef .. we had the special fish from New Zealand cooked in mushroom white sauce , meat was tender . Service was great and friendly

Very nice, simple yet wholesome food. Fish with almond flakes is unexpectedly good, raclette was just nice not too heavy, friendly service from the staff and owner. We will visit again.

Basic but chilled ambience, food was delucious. The angus beef done medium rare was just right to go the specially prepared bernaise sauce, followed by a simple garlic lamb with just right amount of fat. Finished with the cherry swiss crepe so good.

Great Swiss French cuisine. The almond crusted halibut was delicious. So was their chicken Zurich with rosti. Yummy..

We had a delicious dinner @ La Suisse catered specially for a birthday-cum-Christmas bash! The food was awesome and the service impeccable.

Very well made food. Portion sizes are on the large side,but that means there's more to share and go around with. The staff are very friendly too.
